then the answer came to him "UNITY. U-N-I-T-Y. Five letters thats it it has to be!" he said he was happy now very happy

Looking up when Barry said what he thought it was. Liz smiles "I agree, I think that's it!"

"Unity?" Toshi murmured, thinking hard.

Meredith had been exploring the castle, looking for secrets passageways, when she found the passage. She'd entered it and lit the tip of her wand with Lumos. She was glad she knew how to do that. Then, she walked on, a little frightened.
Meredith walked to the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, who she recognised from the statue in the common room, she read the text and said "I accept," without thinking about it.

Now she also noticed the other students and the prism. She recognised Cela and Barry and she was glad she wasn't alone anymore. "Hi everyone..does anyone know what this is all about?"

Barry smilled another guest was here! "Well to sum it um we`re on a treasure hunt and its led us here and we`re trying to work out a five letter word to do with the houses and I think its unity"he said quickly to Merendith. "Cela do you think I`m right?" he asked the girl.

Meredith lstared at the prisma and colored lights. "Okay, I'll try to help..I think unity could be right, you know." She tried to think of other words.. H-o-g-w-a --too many letters.. "House" she mumbled. h-o-u-s-e..Could be.. "What about.......Raven?" She counted the letters, and it were 5 of them..

The blue light that had been caught in a jar suddenly streamed brighter and the jar began to shake violently. Suddenly the material surrounding the jar broke into pieces, allowing the light to fly back to the circle.

"The lights must not be taken!" Spoke a disembodied voice.

Elizabeth looked over as first Barry suggested the letters might spell out unity, and then others agreed with the idea. And as a first-year girl started trying to think of other five-letter words, she spoke. "I think unity is still our best bet, even though those are also five-letter words. Besides, our house is represented by the eagle, not the raven." For some reason. "Anyway, since we're all fairly certain this quest is trying to bring everyone together, it would make sense if the word unity gets us further along."

She was then startled by a disembodied voice, which reprimanded Barry. And then she galnced at the third-year boy and shook her head. "There has to be a way we can arrange the circles without taking them. And if we anger whoever is behind all this, we're never going to get anywhere," she said, before thinking for a minute. "Maybe if we hit on the right word, the circles will arrange themselves on their own. I mean, we already know they can move of their own volition. So it's worth a try."

Rachel's eyes widened as Barry's jar smashed and the light flew back into the circle, and almost screamed as a voice said that they were not to be taken. Shaken, she snuggled into Toshi's chest, calming herself down enough to think straight again. "Okay," she said to no one in particular, "Now we know someone or something is watching us, or following what we do." She grew quiet again as a thought came to her, but it was stupid so she didn't say it to the rest. Could we just ask it for some sort of hint, or a clue? After all, usually the simplest of answers are correct in these types of situations.

She turned to the prefect and smiled. "Yeah that probably could work, but there are already letters on the circles. If we could just find a way to read them, then we wouldn't have to guess anything."

Oh oh, they'd done something wrong. They shouldn't have trapped the light. She the turned red when the prefect said the thingy about the eagle. She knew that of course, but she'd been thinking about the word Ravenclaw..
"So, let's say we say it's unity..Since nobody else really comes up with anything else..Can't we just try it?
She was just going to say about how they would do it, when another girl, Rachel, if she was correct, said the thing about reading the lights.
"Hasn't anyone got a magnifying glass or something?" Which was unlikly..

Woah! Ok that was scary and now there were glass bits on the floor "Yes I must not do that. Is everyone agreeing that the word is Unity? Because if so we should try like we did with the sign and say something like the word is unity together or something because obviously we can`t take the lights"

Rian frowned, watching everyone around her, still thinking hard, but not voicing her opinions. She watched as the glass jar broke, adn jumped, covering her head. She sighed and shook it then. Then laid it on her hand that was still proped up on her knee.

Mariska looked over at Elizabeth as the Prefect spoke, and she silently thought that she agreed with her. This all seemed to be about coming together and solving the problems as a group. She looked over at the lights on the ground, again thinking silently to herself. " Unity seems like the word that should be there, whatever those letters are. And isn't a prism something that seperates all the colors in the spectrum? Perhaps...well, we have to get the lights together so they once again represent all colors..." She sighed. " This is at once the most amazing and yet infuriating experience I've had." She said, laughing slightly. She kept her gaze on the lights, her arms folded and her wand in her left hand.

Rian looked up at a girl talking to Barry adn a Ravenclaw prefect. Letters on the circles. Five circles; five letters. U-n-i-t-y. H-o-u-s-e. She bit her lip and stood up, started to walk in small circles. This was definately an interesting experience.

"Creative thinking, but saying a word out loud has nothing to do with completing the challenge."

As the voice falls quiet again, the circles finish their spinning and a quiet rumbling follows. A set of five mirrors arise from the stones behind everyone. The mirrors read...

Ravenclaws, intelligent and true, this challenge will test your limits of logic
Correctly guess the order and a lock will be sprung
Choose wisely and carefully lest you fail
Which will be met with shame and humiliation

Karma spun around to look at the mirrors. She silently mouthed the words to match what the mirrors said. "If each circle does represent a house, maybe we should try to put them in the order they were founded. But white has to be last." She frowned at reading the part about failing and that shame and humiliation will follow. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Karma thought. So maybe red, yellow, blue, green, white?

Elizabeth found herself looking around the room again as the voice sounded again, and then saw the mirror that appeared. Reading them, she felt better knowing that at least the idea about arranging the circles was accurate, then heard another girl musing aloud. "Maybe," she replied. "We already decided the colored lights given off by each circle matched the house colors. So that's a possibility. But I don't think we want to 'be met with shame and humiliation' if we're wrong. So we should make certain we're sure of what we want to do first," she added, quoting the inscription from the mirror.

Daphne had been quietly watching the spinning circles, completely unaware of their purpose and meaning. Her heart nearly stopped when the room started to rumble, she was almost certain the chamber was collapsing or something equally as life-threatening. Thankfully, that wasn't the case, but the appearance of mirrors perplexed the fifth year. "What in the..." she breathed, turning around and walking towards one of the mirrors. She read the clue, but was only left scratching her head. She heard another student encouraging caution, and she couldn't agree more. "We need to be sure before doing anything rash," she said aloud, carefully examining the five mirrors.

Jenn screamed and jumped as the glass broke. She sheilded her face, and when the peices sounded like they where done falling she uncovered her face. She jumped again at the sound of a voice. Shaking slightly she said, "Don't do that again." she half hissed. She walked over to be by Rian.

Jenn jumped again at the sound of the voice. "That is going to be the death of me. Or the nightmare that will haunt me if we ever get out."she said angerly. Jenn watched as mirrors started to rise. She read them carefully. "Shame and humilation. I really don't want that to happen."she said, almost to loud.

Jenn nodded. "I agree. White has to be last."she said to Karma. "But what is the right order?"she wondered.

Jenn nodded to the prefect. "Yes, we just have to figure out what the order it is."she said, sighing. She sat down, putting her head in her knees. Think Jenn. What could it be? Maybe what it is on the school crest. What was it tho? she thought. "What is the Hogwarts crest order?"she asked.

Karma racked her brain and closed her eyes. "From right to left: red, green, yellow, blue. Counterclockwise is red, yellow, blue, green. Clockwise is red, green, blue, yellow." She opened her eyes to look at everyone. "I guess it depends on which way you want to go. It also might take five of us, one for each circle."

Jenn sighed. "Well at least we know red is first."she said sighing. Jenn nodded. "I'll stand on one."she volinteered.

Elizabeth took a deep breath as it seemed they were going to go forward with the idea of the order of the houses on the crest. "I'm in. But we need to figure out if we think we should go clockwise or counter-clockwise." She thought for a second. "When the circles were moving before, how were they moving? I mean, would you say they were moving either one of those two directions?" It seemed logical to her that the circles themselves would tell them the order.

Karma closed her eyes and rubbed her temples, trying to rack her brain again. "I believe it was blue, green, yellow, red and white. So maybe white really is last." She opened her eyes to look at everyone around her. "And either way, red is always first. I'll grab the white one if someone grabs the red one to see if we put them in the mirrors if anything will happen." Karma tentatively wallked towards the white circle and reached for it.

Jenn smiled grimmly. "I'll stand on the red one."she said walking over to it. "You ready?"she asked.

ooc: gotta go. *sniff* Bedtime.

Elizabeth nodded again as the two other girls who had spoken took action again. "Okay, so we have red and white taken care of now. That would mean we need to cover the other three circles as well, right? I mean, there would be a reason there are five circles. We don't need to just concern ourselves with two of them," she asked, glancing at the older of the two, since it seemed they were going off of her idea. "I'll take green, if we can get two more to take blue and yellow. And we figure out where we all need to go."
