The panel slides to one side, revealing a dark passageway. Only a faint flickering of light behind you shows stone walls and floors, and within moments the light fades also. It is now pitch black. Do you dare to venture further? |

"That sounds good," she nodded fervently. "Did you see a light before?" she asked. The only light she saw upon entering the cave was the one caused by this group of Ravenclaws. Perhaps they had seen something else.

Cela skated on her glisseo shoes to catch up with the others, still amazed that the whole crest thing had worked. She didn't really like that the houses were split up though. She caught up to the others and looked around the odd room.
"I wonder what would happen if we went into the other houses little rooms?" She asked after silently appearing behind the group of Ravenclaws.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Janie Hartford Second Year | Moldy Voldy FOOBS Mariska jumped a little bit again at the sound of a young girls voice; She turned towards the voice and saw through the shimmering light in her hand that it was Celandine. " Goodness." She said as she recovered from the surprise, watching as the girl moved around on her feet smoothly. She supposed it was that Glisseo charm she had heard Nico speak of on occasion. " Do you think we should try to double back, see what the others have found and then perhaps come back here? Or do you all think that it might be better to just stick to it here, solve the Ravenclaw puzzle?" She said, giving the others the option to voice their opinion.

"I wonder what would happen if we went into the other houses little rooms?" She asked after silently appearing behind the group of Ravenclaws. Daphne jumped and let out a high pitched scream that echoed down the passage way. She quickly turned around and pointed her lit wand at what turned out to be a younger Ravenclaw. "Don't. Do. That!" she sneered, having been startled by her sudden appearance. "What do you mean, other rooms?" she asked. She just ambled down this one having heard crying, she didn't notice it was a Ravenclaw only entrance, though she should have noticed only Ravenclaws were there. "I don't know. It might not've let you in. Some weird, house magic," she shrugged. That wasn't really her primary concern at the moment. Quote:

If anybody knew what to do, it would be the others.

Celandine looked at the older students, unconcerned by the shock she seemed to have caused "I don't think we should go back until we find something. Is this a corridor, how far does it go I can't see all the walls." Cela didn't seem bothered by the darkness at all. She slid over to nearest wall and pressed her hand against it, "I wish Nico was here."

On the one hand, she was very curious about where this passageway led to and agreed with the young Ravenclaw. On the other hand, her heart was beating out of her chest and she was incredibly nervous. There, she agreed with the girl in her year to go back. "I... I think we should keep going," she spit out, having made her choice. They were so far down, no sense going back. She took a final glance up the path, but all she saw was darkness. For all she knew the entrance was blocked.

Daphne just shrugged. "Honestly, I just stumbled into this. You do what you think is best," she conceded. After all, she'd never even heard of this treasure or these puzzles. If anybody knew what to do, it would be the others. Mari looked over at the other girl, thinking she looked a bit familiar. She couldn't quite place her though. " Well,I vote we stay here, go and look around. Are there any more crests we're not seeing? I mean...maybe we should use more light. The more light we've got, the more we can see. " She said, looking to the others to confirm her assumption. Quote:

I think it would be easier than using our wands for lumos or that other hand light one because we might need our hands free since theres lots of terrible things that might pop out of the darkness." Celatapped the wall thoughtfully, "And, what if there are holes in the ground or something? Maybe we can use a rope and tie ourselves together..." Celandine trailed off and made an expression that probably couldn't be seen in the darkness. "Is it just me or is this darkness a little odd? The light from your spells isn't all that bright... do you think its peruvian darkness powder or... or a deluminator? No it can't be or there wouldn't be any light, hmmm. The other clues were easier. Gosh I wish there was an order of the talon member who could show us stuff." Quote:

Daphne felt more lost than ever. She didn't understand what was going on, and she didn't know where she was. "What crests! What on earth is going on? This is madness! Sending students on treasure hunts!" she complained, though actually a little thrilled to be involved and very afraid to venture back alone. "Is there something here I need to look for, some sort of clue or symbol, or something?" she asked, pleading for some information. Quote:

"I don't think the bluebell flames would be of much use. Do you have anything to keep it in once it's conjured? And we'd still need someone to hold it," she explained. She wished she could just do that instead of holding her wand up like a fool. The girl's words about the pervasive darkness did seem a little over the top. If it were forced darkness, their illuminating charms wouldn't have worked in the first place. She did with that there was more help down here, though. They all seemed to be so lost and confused

Cela turned and looked at her housemate curiously, "Why do you wish my big brother was here?" Mariska tried to remember the incantation and wand movement for Bluebell flames, and then another spell hit her. " What about Flagrate? We could set up the flames along this corridor and use the Bluebell flames after wards to show us the way ahead." She said and almost as if she had never forogtten it, she remembered the Bluebell charm.
She stopped just before she did it as she heard Celandine speak to her, the young Ravenclaw's voice curious sounding. " Well...he's quite intelligent and would probably be a good sounding board for this situation. That's all," She said, and she felt satisfied that she had recovered herself a bit. No need to tell his little sister anything about her and Nico...whatever it was that they were. Quote:

She did with that there was more help down here, though. They all seemed to be so lost and confused Celandine frowned and thought for a second before her eyes lit up and she pulled an empty paper candy bag from her pocket. She grinned and held it so that the light from the other girl's wand illuminated it. Cela pointed her own wand at the paper bag, after plumping it out into as round a shape as possible and cast a spell, "Duro!" she inspected her handiwork and held up the new vessel, which resembled a stone jar. Hmm. Needed something else. She concentrated and transfigured it into a glass jar; a little wonky but nevertheless suitable. "Can you make the bluebell flames in this? And I'll levitate it so we don't have to hold it. I can leviate it ahead of us so we can see things before we get there and the rest of you have your wands free incase anything scary jumps out at us." Quote:

Her ideas were certainly well thought out and creative. She never seemed to have epiphanies quite as productive as Mari's. She did think that Flagrate would be helpful for the moment. "I think I can do that," she nodded encouragingly. "Nox," she cast and the her light had gone out. She took a deep breath, like she did before any major spell. "Flagrate!" she said loudly, voice echoing up and down the hall. She held her wand high above her head, against the wall, and ran for about 20 feet. A flame burned near the ceiling, illuminating the corridor much better than the Lumos spells. She walked back up to the group, feeling victorious in her effort. "Great idea Mari!" she beamed, more than willing to split the credit on that plan. "Lets get looking, I don't know how long this'll last!" she said, starting to examine the stones much more closely. She took her wand, pointed it into the vessel, and mumbled a few words. The glass container was filled with small blue flames. Quickly covering it, she admired her handiwork. It wasn't the best casting, but it was better than nothing. She handed it back to Cela, hands warmed by the fire. "Careful, I think it'll get hot soon," she cautioned. They didn't need anybody injured during this mini adventure.

Cela waited for the others to walk in front of her before following along.

Of course, she examined them with excruciating detail, but nothing seemed to happen. She even started gently tapping the stones below her feet, looking like some sort of possessed dancer in the process. "I wonder where this leads?" she said aloud, being driven made by the silence. "Wouldn't it just be hilarious if this led to the Prefect's bathroom or something?" she chuckled at the absurdity of the situation.

Deciding that you’re not afraid of the dark, you enter the passageway and begin to walk, your footsteps echoing loudly in the enclosed space. Minutes tick by as you continue your journey; the only other sounds are that of your breathing and a steady clicking noise that is seemingly coming from beneath your feet.
Eventually, the path slopes downward and you emerge into a large, cavernous area. Immediately, your attention is drawn to an impressive statue of Rowena Ravenclaw. A small wooden plaque at the base catches your attention. It reads: Ravenclaw, knowledgeable and wise, accept this challenge and prove your worth. |

Celandine looked up as the floor sloped downward and suddenly the corridor opened up. They didn't seem to need the light anymore so she placed the bluebell flames aside and stared at the statue. "Wow! Its Rowena Ravenclaw." she approached it and looked at the little plaque, bending down to read it out loud, "Ravenclaw knowledgeable and wise, accept this challenge and prove your worth?" She blinked and spoke loudly, "We accept!" she turned and looked at the others, "right?"

Jenn was so glad she was with a group instead of by herself. Much safer, she had dicided. She shivvered slightly, more out of excitment, and fear, than anything. She could see the girls ahead, and behind her, which was good..meant she wouldn't disappear first. She giggled slightly at that.
Jenn looked around at the area they had discovered. Finally she spotted the statue and ran over. "Oh wow. She was so pretty!"she said, admiring the beautiful statue. Then her eyes settled on the wooden box. "Prove your worth?!"she said, slightly high pitched. "Sounds kinda....you know....difficult. But since we are in a group, we should do fine.....right guys?"she asked, looking at each of them. As she looked closer at them all she realized that they had about half of the girls older and the other half younger. Nice and even. Older would know more spells, and younger would be quicker. Jenn looked at the girl that said 'We except the challenge.' She sighed slightly. "Um, maybe we should think of what it might be?"she suggested quitely.

Celandine nodded at the girl from where she was crouched looking at the plaque, "After last term and all the running around for clues this term, I'm determined to see it through no matter what the challenge is. Were you thinking of maybe saying 'ohh no thanks we'll just trudge upstairs to our common room and do homework like good little Ravenclaws- but cheers for offering little plaque'? - I doubt it. Besides since we are Ravenclaws we can take on the world with our smarts." Cela smiled brightly at the other girl, "And if I can survive a detention with Intern Trelawney then this is going to be a piece of cake- especially working with other Ravenclaws. I'm Celandine by the way." Celandine looked up and examined the statue, her fingers tracing over the words on the plaque, "But I definitely accept. Even if you don't want to. Its an adventure."

Jenn glared slightly at the girl. "No. I was just saying, if we kinda knew what it was, it might help our odds. I was just suggesting."she said, huffing slightly. Jenn brightened up a bit. "Your right tho. Ravenclaw is the smartest house, we can take on anything."she said smiling excitedly. "I'm Jenn. Wait, you had detention with Trelawney? Bet that was fun."she said sarcastically. Jenn nodded. "I except too. Even if it means it will be dangerous."she said, slightly dramatic. Jenn faced the statue, looking also at the plaque. "I except this challenge also."she said bravely, surprising herself at the boldness of her words. She griped her wand more tightly, prepared for anything. If it was to be a duel, then she was to be ready. Duels where her specalty.

"Daphne, nice of you to join us." She smiled, and then looked towards the plaque that had appeared. Prove your worth... she thought. "I accept the challenge." Karma walked toward the statue of the house founder and ran her hand over it. "There has to be something here..." she murmured. She studied the statue carefully and looked around at the founder. Maybe there was something else there, so she continued to run her hand along the statue.

Jenn watched Karma run her hand over the statue. "I'll try that too."she said. She started to examin the statue. Running her fingers over the surface.

What's going on? she thought to herself as the passage began to slope downwards.
She reached the open area and noticed several people there that she knew. "Cela? Hey, um, could you explain what's going on here? I'm kind of confused. And what does that mean?" she asked, indicating the little plaque on the statue. Whatever this is, it's exciting... she thought and a small cheeky smile crept onto her face.

Toshi looked up and saw Rachel entering a dark passageway from the Great Hall.
He had never seen that before, and entered the room after Rachel.
"Hey Rachel...", he whispered in her ear and put one arm around her shoulders. "What`s going on here?"

| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Elizabeth had seen several other Ravenclaws disappear into the strange passageway that had appeared, and her curiosity, along with her instincts as Prefect, kicked in. Entering the passageway, she cast Sinistra Lumina once inside, after she encountered complete darkness. Walking carefully down the passageway, she started to faintly hear talking, as well as a light up ahead.
A ways down the passageway, she saw it was lit up with the Flagrate spell, and clenched her fist to extinguish her own before continuing on. The passageway continued for a while, then sloped downward to a room, where she saw the students had congregated. Approaching, she heard a few of them talk about accepting something. "So what're you accepting?," she asked randomly, right before seeing the plaque at the base of the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw. Reading it, she shrugged. "Sure. Weird passageways, cryptic messages. Why wouldn't anyone accept the challenge?," she joked before glancing upward again.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Daniel Evans Weasley Fifth Year | I'm ready!
Barry entered the long tunnel before the statue he murmered "I must be really late now." he then said "Lumos" and his wand lit up. He started walking down the endless passage way just hoping that soon he would come to an end he wanted some sight of life it was scary not knowing what was to come beyond and not even have someone to accompany you. Finally light! Barry started running as fast as his legs would carry him towards the end. Towards the light. He could hear people murmering speaking between themselves. But then the path went downslope and he tripped and started sliding towards the oppening getting faster and faster as he went along. Oh I just hope theres no monsters down there. Then he came to a stop in frount of the statue of Rowena.
He quickly scrambled up nodded to Cela muttering " Did you slide down too?"
and then he turned to the statue and read the carving he said " We Ravenclaws knowledgable and wise accept the challenge to come forth"
Then he examened the room itself there were several people in there as well with confused faces. Ah the explanation! He got up and with great difficulty climbed up the statue to the top so everyone could see him. " Great Ravenclaws! I think we owe you an explanation of what has been going on in our beloved school! " he said in a shaky voice. " Last term it had come to the knowledge of some of us that there was a treasure at hogwarts. Since the start of term we have been looking for it scroll after sroll searching the school top to bottom but now with the help of our fellow house members I belive that the treasure is beyond whatever challenge is to come. One obstical remains . One more little challenge and the mystery will be complete . If you wish to be part of this challenge please accept or please would you kindly leave" Barry then noticed that he was sweating and was very nervous. He quickly clambered down and stood behind Cela letting her take the questions or any comments they made he then said sofly so only those close to him could hear "I`m Barry Weasley by the way"
