Sho pushed the huge platter of chicken toward Cale and smiled, proud of himself. Now he had it in with at least 2... maybe 3 groups. Though that tended to be a problem. Oh well. He was probably going to get into more swampy trouble this term anyway. "Chicken ahoy!" he said to Cale. |
"I finally met Jason! He really was kind of fun to talk to." Liz replies with a grin. "ooo those look really good," Liz says reaching for the fresh dinner rolls. ooc: no idea, where the name went, I remember typing it in :o) |

"I love it!" Jenn says with her mouth full of potatoes. "Oops, sorry" Jenn says blushing as she swollows her food. "How 'bout you?" Jenn asks smiling. |

Amidst the commotion, Mariel is grateful to see a familiar face walking over. Her eyes lit up. "Jenn! You got Ravenclaw too? Best house in Hogwarts," she added with a grin. Mariel looked down at her plate stacked high with food. "Yeah, I was starving. So... tuck in, the food's amazing." |
James turned back to Patricia. "There's nothing wrong with yelling!" he nearly yelled back. "It gets your point across better." he smiled to Patricia. "I'm James," he reached across the table to shake her hand. |

The chicken, especially. The girl reached for her fork, and took another bite. So immersed by eating and thinking nothing in particular Willow had been, that she had not noticed that some other girl had taken seat rather close to where she was. And not only that girl, for moments later, another female arrived, that judging by the clothes the girl was wearing, she was in Slytherin. Not only she had arrived, but she was talking to her, too. Had she not noticed that she was in the wrong table? Huh. Weird. "No, I don't think it is taken," replied Willow politely, as her forest green eyes eyed her, a hint of curiosity in them. It was rather odd for Willow when people asked her if a certain seat was taken. It was not like she owned the place, or anything. Though to be perfectly honest, sometimes the girl hoped she did. "Nice to meet you, Asteira." Blood. What a weird surname. "The name's Willow." |
ooc- gotta go, be back on tomorrow Quote:

"I'm so glad your in it too!" Jenn said happily. "I know. My turkey is so good. Of coarse after just eating pumpkin pasties and chocolate frogs, everything tastes better." Jenn said as she grabbed a dinner roll. |

James nodded. "I know what you mean." he began attacking the roast beef. "I can only say greetings and what-not" he said casually. |

"Hey, you two. Have a pleasant ride down here? I fell asleep before even one game of Wizard Chess." he laughed. He poured himself a goblet of Pumpkin Juice to start off his meal. A small impulse led his eyes to gaze at the ceiling. Of all the many wonders of Hogwarts, this was one of his favorites. The candles' light danced as if celebrating the start of term themselves. Stars shining brightly against the black sky. |

It suddenly dawned on her that she knew this girl from somewhere, her face was familiar. "Do we know each other? I think we met smomewhere, maybe the train?" she asked as she passed the mashed potatoes. She then served herself some roast beef, potatoes, peas and carrots. |

"Oh really? That sounds exciting. You need any help I can try." Valentine said with a smile. She didn't know much about Cale either- but she was sure on one thing, and that was that he really did love plants. Valentine was just about to answer James when Cale seemed to get her interest. "What! No! Oh come on now you don't think I am a vampire either?" She rolled her eyes slightly. "All the children back where I lived thought I was a vampire. I don't need everyone here thinking that too." |
Sho looked at the chicken wing that had landed on his plate. It was still steaming and did look rather tasty. Crispy, slightly saucey skin... tender and moist meat... gah it was too much to hold back from! He picked it up and nibbled away, savoring the taste, "This is good stuff..." |

"Oh that's comforting - Oh chicken!" Tobi was momentarily distracted. "I don't find bowtruckles any more cute and cuddly. They attack people. ATTACK PEOPLE. You know that's a bad thing right?" Tobi turned to Sho, Valentine, Eddy (who up to this point had remained silent,) even the new guy, pleading. "It's bad to be attacked by angry little wooden creatures that jump out of trees -you guys try to avoid that fate don't you?" |

Mariel started to turn back to her food when some movement met her eye. She inwardly groaned. The water she spilled not only drenched First Year Girl, but what appeared to be another First Year Girl, who was also trying to dry herself off. Mariel snorted to herself. What a way to start off the year, she thought, rolling her eyes. Mariel looked over to First Year Girl #2 as she asked if they had met. Mariel looked at the girl appraisingly before shrugging. She didn't look familiar, but maybe she did run into her on the train or on one of her trips to Diagon Alley. "I don't think so..." Mariel started, "Maybe in Florean Fortescue's? I practically lived there this summer. Maybe you saw me there..." |

"Um... yes, yes it is pretty bad to be attacked by angry wooden creatures," Sho said to Tobi after setting the bone of his chicken wing down and wiping his mouth. "Though I'm sure if you wear protective clothing you'll be just fine." What did Sho know? He knew Muggle plants far more than he knew Magical ones. Maybe the bowtruckles ate through protective clothing. |

She offered her hand as her mum had taught her, being civilized wasn't reserved for adults only. Or so her mum kept telling her. Over and over again... She smiled back, having already forgotten the spilled water. |

Mariel gazed at First Year Girl #2 curiously as she offered her hand. That was a first. Mariel had shaken a few adults hands when being introduced, but never had she seen an eleven year old girl offer to shake hands. Mariel shrugged and took the girl's hand. Either the girl's parents were awfully strict about manners or she was enrolled in some sort of etiquette class. Mariel smiled and said, "Hi Patricia, I'm Mariel." Then she tilted her head as she gave a considering look at Patricia. "Or do you like Patty?" |
