Oh, Quidditch. Hopefully, this little incident would not affect her chances on making the team once again. She shot a quick glance at Ryan before turning back to the head of the house.

"Alright, sir," said the girl with a nod. Well, she needed to speak to Ryan as well, so the timing could not be more perfect. Sort of. "And again, sir, I am sorry," the fourth year finished sincerely, before at Gavin, raising an eyebrow at him, before taking one sip of pumpkin juice from her goblet, without taking her eyes off him.

Willow 1, Gavin 0.

Patricia nodded, her grin disappearing in a flash, understanding that she wouldn't be flying much this year. Being a first year... "Ok, sir." she said quietly, then looked around the table. But in the back of her mind, her first idea about borrowing a broom might still be feasible, somehow.

Lisa walks over to the Ravenclaw table, and sits down. She was so nervous about her first day that she forgot that she was hungry; and believe it or not that didn't happen very often. She eyes the members of the Ravenclaw table shyly, she somehow felt really small all of a sudden compared t everyone else. She hoped she could find Rosa sometime soon.

Patricia cocked her head a little, trying to see, or rather understand what Jason was saying. Reading between the lines, it would seem, to her anyway, that Quidditch was a sore spot for Jason. She was sorry she asked, her and her big gob! "That's fine Jason." she eventually said, giving him an encouraging smile.

She picked up her cup and took a long sip of pumpkin juice, letting her eyes read the different faces around the room. She eyed the Slytherin table, trying to decipher any smugness or haughtiness in the expressions that she saw. She had overheard that the Slytherins considered themselves a bit above everyone else, something about blood purity or such other non-sens.

Celandine grinned as Barry cheerfully made his way to the table. It was hard not to be happy around him he was so nice. She watched curiously as an owl carried an owl and dropped it right in front of her.

She checked the note and her eyes widened.

"Barry?! You got me an owl!" Cela jumped out of her seat and wrapped barry in a big hug, jumping around excitedly. She let go of him and took one of the Ravenclaw party hats and put it on her head. "I've never had my own owl before!" She returned to her seat and examined it; it was fairly tiny and inquisitive looking. "This is the most awsome present ever!"

But all the girls ended up at 'Belle's', and the boys went to 'Cooper's'. And we were forced to deal with these insane teachers hired by the Minister, and stare at millions of pictures of him and his wife. Half the students spent most of their time trying to figure out how to see the students at the other school. And sometimes I think all of us who were there last term should get something that says, 'I survived the Cooper/Belle experiment'." She stopped talking as everyone seemed to look toward where she knew Willow had been seated.

Liz was then introducing him to another girl. "Nice to meet you Mari. Yes I really did run into them. Well Asteira at least. Liz just had the pleasure of watching my embarrasment." He flashed another smile, watching them over the top of his goblet as he sipped his drink.
Suddenly he sensed somethng off. Professor Vindictus was now at their table. He looked around at the Ravenclaws, some of which seemed to be arguing. "What's up with them?" he muttered to his group, gesturing to the students.
She grinned as Ludo asked her if she found Bella. "Oh, it wasn't a matter of finding her, so much as catching her. But yes, I did. And right about now she's busy growling at the caretaker, or whoever takes all our stuff to the dorms, through her basket."

Then he was talking about chess with Asteira. "Well, don't ask me, unless you want to make sure you'll win. I've never played chess before." Then he brought up another game. And she laughed. "Never played Gobstones before either. I guess I'm just not a game person, or something. Unless you count Quidditch, since both my brother and Rhiannon either play or played that. And my brother made all of us play with him when we were younger." And then she smiled as it seemed he wanted in on the points competition as well. Apparently her cousin had had a good idea.

She grinned as he explained their meeting in Flourish and Blotts. "Awwww, but you were so cute when you were embarrassed," she teased him. And then he brought up the chaos from down the table as well. "What's up with who? Willow and the Huffie? Or Vindictus?," she asked. "Professor Vindictus is head of our house, so it's not that weird that he'd be at the table. And I think there's always been some animosity between Willow and the Huffie. Not really sure, seeing as I've never really heard about it. But I'm pretty observant."

Meredith ate some chicken and looked at the other Ravenclaws. She noticed a girl sitting rather lonely at the end of the table. "Hi, I'm Meredith, a first year. Are you a new student too?" she asked.

I`m sure Nico got you some book which is much more intresting then this. Or your parents got you something better." he smiled at Cela "Belive me its nothing " Barry then waited for Cela to calm down "Just make sure Nico doesn`t take it from you and keep an eye on some of his new freinds"

"Thats okay Barry, I'm surprised you paid attention to what I said since I talk so much!" Cela giggled and examined her new owl. "How did you know Nico got me books?" Cela asked curiously, taking a sip of pumpkin juice- this time not spilling a drop. "Why would Nico take my owl? He's only like the best brother ever! And which new friends should I be keeping an eye on? The only people he has been hanging out with lately are Anna and Bo...I mean Cale and Maddox...." Celandine trailed off in confusion before brightening as she carefully covered the owl cage.

"Well Barry the very first letter I have my owl carry will be to you okay?"

Celandine looked confused. She couldn't place the name Evolette. But she must be a pretty girl or her brother wouldn't be spending time with her at all.

She made a face as Barry coughed, not quite catching what he said.

"I will! Thank you Barry, you are a good friend!" Celandine responded cheerfully, even though his last statement confused her even more. For someone who had just given her such an awesome and expensive gift, he was acting fairly nonchalant.

"Now your birthday is coming up soon too isn't it?"

"Yeah it is very soon actually by the end of this mounth but you don`t have to get me anything " said Barry he had never really celebrated his birthday alot he just waited for his dad to send his gift but he hadn`t had alot of freinds till the end of last year so maybe he would have a party "Maybe I`ll have a birthday party at the pumkin patch maybe? That reminds me you havn`t been here before I must show round some time. Sorry I get um carried away easily theres just so much to say all the time"

"Oh don't be silly, of course I'll get you something!" Celandine waved her hand in dismissal, "oooh you should have a party! A dress up party! One with masks!" Celandine's eyes widened in excitement, "Oh that would be really nice for you to show us around Barry; I mean Steelsheen and Sheeta can come too, right?"

Celandine took a bite out of a buttered bread roll and chewed impatiently for a minute. "Oh I know, always alot to say about everything all the time!" Celandine agreed.

His mind was wondering off already to other girls who he had known but were now gone. His mother, Monica and even his sister who had left hogwarts to go to some other school. He was pulled back soon as he remembered Cale and Anna . "Hey Cela do youy know who the new prefect is?"

"Which one?" Celandine replied, with a mouthful of bread. "There are three right? One in slytherin, one in Hufflepuff and one in our house. I haven't met any of them. The only prefects I know are Will and the Gryffindor prefects."

Cela finished her bread roll and pulled a packet of chilli lollies out of her pocket. She loved them; they were fiery hot and had a really low sugar content which meant they were some of the only candy Cela could eat without getting...bouncy.

She popped one into her mouth, savouring the fiery flavour. They looked pretty harmless and she always forgot to warn people.
"Want one Barry?" she asked, offering the packet.

Celandine watched with interest as he ate one.
"Chilli." she told him, helpfully, before popping another in her mouth. She glanced at him innocently out of the corner of her eye; this was usually the point where people spat the candy out and turned red from the heat.

"I guess this term I should meet the Ravenclaw prefects." Celandine mused around the two pieces of candy in her mouth.

"They taste good." Cela popped another chilli lolly in her mouth and examined Barry's now pumpkin juice covered robes. She pointed to her own slightly orange stained robes, "I got Pumpkin juice on myself too. But yours is still wet so..." Cela pulled out her wand, "Tergeo!" she siphoned the pumpkin juice off Barry and picked up a serviette to finish dabbing his robes clean. She'd scourgify her robes later.

"Next time I should tell you what they are first huh?" Celandine bit her lip; she hadn't meant to upset him but it had looked pretty funny. "My oldest brother used to give them to people he didn't like." Cela added, innocently.

Ebony frowned as she took another sip of pumpkin juice, a sigh passing her lips "it sounds awful. Did anyone ever find out why they did it?"
