It is nice to meet you," she said with a smile. Then Hannah went off on her way, and she turned back to the group. Tilting her head, she spoke again. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if you look back at the staff table, you'd notice that this Mr. Ingles isn't there, but I do see Madam Kohan, who was the other librarian. The librarian at Belle's, that is." She paused, then continued. "As far as I can tell, though, she's pretty cool too. So I think we're okay."

Then she grinned at Asteira. "I'm not that cruel. And I'm certainly not showing any bias against any of the houses. Every Slytherin I've met so far has been perfectly nice. Although I have to say it would have been slightly entertaining if you had ended up transfiguring the shopkeeper at Ollivander's into something." She took another drink of her pumpkin juice to keep herself from giggling.

She would need high motivation in a few different areas. Probably more like explaining things. she listened to elizabeth point out that mr. ingles man wasnt sitting at the staff table, but apprently the Belle's librarian was. " Im just glad someone knows what your talking about." she told elizabeth as she didnt know much." Which one is the care of magical creatures teacher?" she asked elizabeth as she couldnt wait to see that class. Seeing as her mother was a caretaker and all.

Elizabeth raised an eyebrow as Asteira spoke about someone knowing what she was talking about, but didn't say anything. But then her cousin asked about the care of magical creatures professor, and she had to glance back at the staff table. "I don't know who it is, since I have no idea if it's going to be one of the two from last term, or an entirely new one. But I don't think they're up there anyway. I mean, there looks like there's a couple seats still empty." She looked back at Asteira. "But I kind of hope it's going to be Professor Brooks. She was a pretty good professor last term. Seemed like she was on our side."

She laughed a bit as Asteira said she wasn't of age to do magic outside of school, but agreed that it would be funny. "So in a couple of years, if we see her again, you can transfigure her." She tilted her head in thought as canaries wer brought up. "You know, Muggles used canaries in coal mines to detect gases that could harm the miners," she said absent-mindedly, remembering another random fact she had read at one time or another.

Via made her way to the Ravenclaw table. She wanted to check her friends and meet new ones on the Claw corner so she bravely greeted them and saw HAnnah and SAbrina. Wow! They got friends here, Via thought. She was on her second year yet she was still locked up in her shell and is afraid to go out. SHe just peeks and then she'll go back to her shell again. SO that's Via, how sad for her.

HWen they were at BElle's apart from being a Gryffindor she also wanted to be a Ravenclaw, so this is the aura of the ravenclaw table.

Edie shrugged her shoulders.

Flirting was second nature to Issy and suddenly, with all these boys around, Issy found it wasn’t exactly THAT hard to keep her mind off Samson.

Except that he was still there, at the back. As she glanced around the Great Hall and spoke, she found her eyes scanning around for Samson. Thus far, she hadn’t caught sight of him and, though she tried to pretend it hadn’t, her stomach kind of plummeted.

Against her will, Issy was quite desperately missing Samson, possibly more so because she was trying to push him out of her life.

“Pleasure to meet you,” she told the boy, trying to change the topic of her mind. “I’m Isabella Cortella, but everyone just calls me Issy.” Insert charming smile here.

Oh. It was definitely wrong for Samson to keep glancing around. He should have just kept his focus on the food.

Because, though he forced himself to believe that this was inconsiquential, Issy seemed to be flirting with someone else. And Samson did not take to it well. Maybe it was just because he wasn't used to his friends flirting.

But Gavin flirted.

Alright. So he wasn't entirely used to the fact that his female friends flirted.

And besides, the guy didn't even look all that appealing. And he was a Gryffindor. And... and... and.

"Hey, Issy!"

What?

Samson pursed his lips carefully, and tried not to make it obvious that he was abruptly regretting his sudden outburst of a greeting. What was going on with him? It was weird, and new, and he didn't like it, either. Eh.

"Arkarian is a really neat name." Celandine responded solemnly.

Raiden had an infectious giggle and Cela couldn't help but join in.
She let out a hushed sound of awe when she saw the kitten- it was almost but not quite as cute as Sheeta's kitten, Swirls.
"Roscoe is a cool name." Celandine stated, in the same solemn tone she had given her opinion on the name of Meredith's owl.

"I don't know." Cela shrugged, "They are Slytherins though. Slytherins are angsty." Cela peered over at the table and her eyes widened as she realised her brother now was talking to the pretty prefect. She didn't even click that she was talking to Raiden and Lucas either; so didn't think to clarify the angsty Slytherin comment.

"Well I guess they know each other now." Cela gestured at the table, then looked around her own table; wondering which of the girls her brother's age would end up on Nico's list.

"Some girls transfigured themselves into boys and snuck over." Celandine turned her attention back to the conversation, "The girls learned how to make our faces and our hair like boys, in Transfiguration class. I saw my brother a few times in Hogsmeade. Not every time though since he was always disappearing with some girl or another."

Raiden tilted his head to the side and studied Celandine. "Angsty? What's angsty mean?" A new word he'd never heard before. Roscoe shook with another sneeze, then stumped off of Rai's lap on his short little legs, up onto Celandine's, and then stood up, putting his front paws on the table so he could peek up over the edge. He wanted to see what had been going on while he slumbered.

"The girls turned themselves into boys?" Raiden asked, surprised. "That's neat! I can't wait to start learning how to transfigure things!"

And then she was talking about seeing her brother in Hogsmeade, but she hadn't been able to see him every time... how sad. Raiden knew that he was going to miss Shiro all term long, the precocious little four year old who had followed him around Diagon Alley the entire time, sucking his thumb. His little brother.

"If I were your brother, I would have made sure to see you any time that Hogsmeade was open," Raiden said softly, reaching over and scratching Roscoe's ears. "Family shouldn't be split up if they're going the same place..."

They didn't want to know about stuff like that, it would only make them worry. "I've read lots of books... When I grow up, I wanna do something important with my magic."

He was proud of his ambition, even if it HAD landed him in Slytherin, the house that some people still thought was a bad place to be. He would fix that, this term. He would show people that the house you were in didn't make you who you were.

"Your birthday is soon?" he asked excitedly. "That's awesome! I've never really been to a birthday party before, at least not one for people my own age... It was always for either Shiro, or a family friend, or a Muggle friend... And Evangeline Green is a very, very nice girl." He added the last part on proudly, as if it would be good to note that Evangeline Green was both a Slytherin and a good person. "I ran into her on the train, and she caught me at the table to make sure I was okay. She's very nice."

Mariska arched a brow as Asteira asked her to join in on their little competition. " I guess it can't hurt." She shrugged and then she smiled widely. " You'll have to get some of your Slytherin friends to help you, seeing as it's the three of us." She said in a slightly teasing manner. " All in good fun though, right?" She smiled.

Mari was pleased that everyone seemed keen on their studying group, as she knew she was going to need some help. The basic concepts of the magic would be the same, but it was a whole new school system and she wasn't sure how well she'd do at first. Of course she planned on being one of the best, but she'd think on that later. She looked up to the table as Elizabeth pointed out the librarian, Madam Kohan. The woman looked nice enough, she thought.

After studying every table with the upmost care Sarah finally found who she was looking for.
Sneaking up behind them,in case she shouldn't have been there,Sarah crouched down and tapped Mariel and Jenn on the shoulders.
"Hey sleepy heads wake up! I see you two got into Ravenclaw,I'm a Hufflepuff..just like I thought....So how are you guys?"
Smiling she pulled her robes around her so not to trip anyone walking in the aisle.

"Sorry I missed you on the train.We got there late and I couldn't find you when I got on."

Livvy yawned slightly and had set her head on the table. It had been rather boring and there was no one that she could talk to, which just made her feel lonely. Livvy picked up an apple, looked at it for a moment and bit into it.

With Mariel tugging at her arm Sarah fell onto the bench between her and Jenn.
"Pleased to see you too!" she laughed as she straightened herself out. "Yeah it would have been nice to all be together,I was looking forward to spending free time with you both in the common room.I guess we can still see each other around the grounds...and classes too hopefully!"

Sarah took one of the chocolates that Mariel offered her,and warily put it in her mouth,not sure of what the flavour would be.Pleasently surprised to find out it was coffee Sarah smiled at her friend..."Thanks,thats nice.Using them to keep you awake huh?" Laughing again she listened as Mariel told her about the train.
"No I didn't speak to anyone really.I guess I was just too nervous and upset at not being able to find you guys."

Melinda nodded and smiled. "Yeah, me too...even though we are sitting down, everyone is really tired from the trip to here...." She told him and sighed. She, as Chris, wondered when they would get to go to their dorms, she was sleepy. She yawned and put her head on the palm of her hand.

Melinda nodded and smiled. "Yeah, me too...even though we are sitting down, everyone is really tired from the trip to here...." She told him and sighed. She, as Chris, wondered when they would get to go to their dorms, she was sleepy. She yawned and put her head on the palm of her hand.

Chris saw Melinda yawn. "Well didn't I tell you to sleep on the train." Chris said in teasing tone.

"I guess you did..." Melinda said, making another yawn, but still teasing him. "I know...but I just can't miss a second at the train, you see many people again...it's exciting..." She told him, "Remember, I got to see Travis and Caitlin again, after a whole summer of nothing..." She told him.

Melinda opened her eyes wide. "Well...it's pretty fun to hang out with them...mostly because they are two of the few that know of my ability, besides the family here, of course...but friends, just them..." She told him and smiled.

Ri looked around. It was so amazing she knew no one. She took a seat at the hoping that someone would say something to her. She couldn't wait to meet all the new people.

Mariel nodded when Sarah asked her about the chocolates. "Keeping me awake... but just barely," she added with a hand-covered yawn. "I'm so tired from that train ride and all the excitement of coming here. I just wish I could go to bed. I don't even want to think about having to get up early for class tomorrow."

Mariel glanced over at the Hufflepuff table, then looked back over to Sarah. "So, make any new Hufflepuff friends yet?"

"I'm sorry I got you confused...but there's a secret after all this hanging out with them..." Melinda tried to explain. "...a secret, that I swore to keep...no matter what..." She told him and held his hand.
