Edie shook her head as she poured herself some pumpkin juice.

"I'm in Fifth Year. What's your wizarding background? Muggle born, half and half or pureblood?" she enquired.

Becca hurried into the Great Hall and collapsed onto the bench of the Ravenclaw table. She took a moment to catch her breath before gazing around the spacy room. So this was Hogwarts. "Well... it's not bad," she thought aloud.

What a long summer it had been. Her skin had one of the most precise and brilliant tans in the room - she had been outside playing soccer at least once a day, everyday. But she had missed her Hogwarts Brigade friends dearly, even with the distraction of her soccer friends. Now all she had to do was wait for one to come along.

Ebony nodded "Oh, sorry. I wasn't here last year, I don't really recognise anyone, truth be told." Ebony lowered her goblet, before answering the next question, chosing her words, carefully "I would be a pure blood. My family goes back as far as the Longbottoms. How about you?"

Mariska shrugged. " I suppose I'll have to tell my dad he was right then," She said with a little half smile. " Cousins? That's nice, to have family with you even if it is only by marriage." She looked around the hall once as the noise of students seemed to intensify and then she looked back as Elizabeth introduced another person to her. She smiled and gave a little wave, waggling her fingers at the boy whom was called Ludo. " Nice to meet you," She said,thinking it wasn't a bad idea to meet more of the male population here. That was always necessary, she thought with a little smile." This is true, now I've got a few familiar faces in a new place. Always good, no?" She said.
Mari wore a surprised expression as Asteira informed her of the woman at Ollivanders. " A dangerous wand? I don't understand how any wand could be dangerous, unless it wasn't meant for the user." She said thoughtfully. How odd, that the old woman would destroy a wand like that, she mused. " How very weird." She smiled then as she remembered the book store. " It was nice, but that line was so long. The others in it informed me that it was what we deserved for going at the last minute." She said dryly. She looked over her shoulder at the still growing crowd of students and she wondered if they'd all even fit in the room. " So...what does it mean then, being in this house? " She said, asking those whom she thought would know.

"Oh, have you come from another school?" Edie asked as she took a sip of juice.

"I am a Muggle born. My parents passed away when I was six years old. I'm French. Maybe I would've been a Beauxbatons student if they hadn't died. I live alone with my pet cat Minty," Edie told Ebony

Ebony blinked with suprise "I'm so sorry to hear that, Edie. Is there really no one to take care of you?" Ebony took another sip of her juice, before continuing. "My aunt withdrew me from school last year, because of the split. She basically said, that if I wasn't going to Hogwarts, I wasn't going at all. Suffice to say, all of the people who were my friends have graduated if they came back, and, well, the" she paused "the others, they aren't coming back at all."

Ebony shifted uncomfortably in her seat, searching for a subject change. "So, what type of cat is Minty?"

"No, there isn't anyone. I moved to London from Marseilles after my parents died to live my aunt who was my father's older sister. Sadly, she passed away two years ago. Luckily my parents came from wealthy backgrounds. I live in a nice little two bedroom apartment in London. I don't spend a lot of money on things. School supplies, things for Minty, living costs etc but I don't buy fancy things," Edie refilled her glass and continued.

"The split was bad. I was at the school last year. It was pretty strict. The girls couldn't interact with the boys and it just felt weird. I am sorry that people that you knew aren't coming back. I would love for us to be friends. Best friends even," she said.

Edie smiled when she was asked about Minty.

"Minty is a grey tabby. He loves sleeping a lot and he is very friendly. He doesn't like chasing birds or mice. He much prefer if he sat on your lap and you scratched him behind the ears," she said.

Ebony was thoughtful as she listened to Edie's tale, her brow furrowing as she processed all the details. "You're very brave. I'm not very good at being on my own" she chuckled "I go a bit perculair." She pulled a silly face. "I miss my friends, but, being back here is coming home to me, and of course it means I can make new friends." Ebony smiled, widely.

Ebony chuckled "I always wanted a cat, but the ones with long hair make me sneeze. Can I meet Minty sometime?" She asked, before picking up her goblet in a toast "to new friends!"

Jason turned his head around from the Gryffindor table. "Hello Edie, how are you?" Jason asked her. " Have you seen Rian?" Jason asked Edie.

"Oh, cool, so that's both of us then! He is really sweet and funny. It's great to know that we have decent relatives, and not someone that we wouldn't get along with that's for sure!"

Reaching for the plate of turkey, she takes some off and puts it on her plate.

"It was great having you over for the degnoming last summer!"


"Hey Jason, down here," Liz calls.

" Hi, I see you both came back to your table so you can both eat" Jason told Liz and Rian,. Rian is a really nice cousin and meeting Liz, another new cousin has helped Jason forget about his troubles with Melinda.

Rachel walked through the doors of the Great Hall and gasped. It was magnificent. She stared in wonder at the four long house table, at the staff table and did a double take. "Well," she thought to herself, "This is why they hated Belle's so much. Hogwarts is amazing!"
Beaming at no one in particular, she made her way to the Ravenclaw table and sat down at an empty space fairly close to the staff table. Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets as she looked in disbelief at the sheer amount and selection of obviously delicious food that surrounded her. Her stomach rumbled as she saw the steaks, chiken wings and soups. "Well, this is very nice!" she remarked to herself and tucked in, while gazing at stars above her in wonderment.
For once, she didn't care that she was sitting alone. It would probably bother her later.

Barry walked in humming to himself hoggy hogwarts it was great to be back he tried making streemers float but they kept bobing up and down so he just put them away he got out a ravenclaw party hats and handed one to Jason "Pass them round Jason I know its the ravenclaw crest but its all I had sorry anyway its to celebrate being back " he said putting his one on.

Just then a snowy owl flew into the hall carrying another owl in a cage it could manage but it kept on having to scrape the cage against the food. Finally it landed placed in frount of Cela with a little note attached. It read:

Happy birthday,
From you loving freind Barry

Barry walked over gave snowy some treats and watched it fly off into the distance.

He then got out a pack of magic party crackers. And started passing them round keeping one for himself "Everyone this is to hogwarts being back! " maybe his dad would send a cake during the feast

Meredith was overwhelmed with the awesomeness of Hogwarts, it was too good to believe. The boat trip they had just made over the lake. But she wasn't thinking of that while she sat down at the Ravenclaw table. She was thinking about being sorted into Ravenclaw. She had wanted to be in Slytherin, but she really liked being into Ravenclaw too. The school year was gonna be so much fun! Bt of course a lot of hard work too..
Just then an owl carrying a cage with an owl in it interrupted her thought. The owl looked like it was gonna chrash into the table, but it didn't.
Meredith was pretty thirsty. She looked at what there was to drink and decided to have some pumpkin juice. She had never really drank it, but had heard other people mentioning it.
"Could you please pass me the pumkin juice?" she asked to a boy who was passing around something.

Jenn turned to the girl Mariel was talking to. "Hi! My name is Jennumara, but call me Jenn."Jenn said. "So I heard your a first year! I am too!" Jenn said smiling at the girl.

"So haven't flown in awhile! That's so sad! I love flying. When we can try out I going to. It would be so much fun to be on a team."Jenn said happily.

Jenn saw Jason talking to another girl. "Hi Jason!"Jenn said happily. "How are you so far?" Jenn asked.

Barry smilled at the girl who asked for pumkin juice he passed it to her "First year? Welcome to hogwarts my home away from home. I`m Barry Weasly you are?" asked Barry

"Thanks." Meredith smiled back at the boy and poured some pumkin juice in her glass. " Nice to meet you, Barry. I'm Meredith. Oh, and I am a first year, yes."
Home away from home, that sounded really nice. Meredith was hoping Hogwarts become that for her too, especially because her parents worked a lot and home was always very lonely.

Jenn sighed deeply. She was feeling content and tired. She hoped the headmistress would hurry up and give the speech so that, Jenn could go to the common room and to her warm bed. She was exhasted. Jenn picks at her turkey. "So, Mariel. What class are you excited about?" Jenn asked.

"Meredith I`ll try to remember that" said Barry "You`ll always be welcome at ravenclaw house I`m a third year. What about you Meredith what brings you to hogwarts what I mean is tell me about your history I`m a curious fellow I like knowing everything"

"I'm Muggleborn" Meredith said. She had seen that a lot of other people were Muggleborns as well, so she wasn't really worried about that very much anymore. "I just found out that I was a witch when I got my letter. I've been so exited to go to Hogwarts ever since and now I'm finally here..and it's just wonderful." She smiled again. "So, what about you?"

Mariel grinned and chuckled to herself as she watched Patty's response to her ingenious idea. This one was certainly enthusiastic. And not afraid to go behind mummy's back to have a little fun. Mariel would have to keep an eye on Patty and what hinted to be her devious side.

Mariel looked over at Jenn admist their talk of Quidditch. "You want to try out next year too? That would be so cool if we both made the team. Is your whole family a bunch of Quidditch fanatics like mine?"

Then Jenn sighed loudly. She looked tired which made Mariel realize just how tired she was too. She rested her head in her hand again before answering Jenn. "Classes?" Mariel stifled a yawn. "I really want to check out Charms and Potions. Transfiguration sounds fun too. What about you? Do you think we'll be in the same classes too?" Mariel thought so since they were in the same house, but wasn't completely sure being this was her first year and didn't know how everything worked.

"Thats very intresting I like hearing muggleborn stories there always much more intresting then my one. I come from the weasley family my fathers Dan whose father is Roxane whos father was fred whose sister was ginny whose husband was Harry Potter I think my mum was the grandchild of a muggle" said Barry "Well thats my story its ok I guess my dad hasn`t told me much more"

Jenn smiled. "I would love to try out, and it would be AMAZINGLY fun if we got on the team together!" Jenn said happily. "Well, my family isn't super fond of it, but I love it! It's so much fun!" Jenn said smiling.

Jenn yawned. "Charms sound like fun. I really can't wait till Care of Magical Creatures, and Transfiguration. Flying will be fun." Jenn said taking another roll. "I hope we'll be in the same class! That would be horrible if we don't!" Jenn said sadly. "So this is kinda random, but what do you think of that Dominic kid?" Jenn said.

" Thanks, Barry, I love parties" Jason told him as he put on the party hat. "Jenn, I am doing fine and you?" " Barry, Jenn should join the party" Jason said.
