Lizzie raised her hand thoughtfully, saying Well I guess all I can come up with are carousels for kids, and maybe if it's a big carnival they might have a roller coaster or something like that...

Jose had been sat quietly up until now "um they have different rides sometimes they bring stuff like huck a duck and different rides but like one near where we used to live near they would bring one lot like huck a duck and track rides and stuff for little kids then next time they came they would bring the tea-cup and other stuff and then when they left would join up with others and go into a big fair afterwoods.

They also have ferries-wheel and zipper ride and stuff like that.

Meredith found the passage in the book. She raised her hand again and began to answer.

She wondered what they were going to do next..She hoped they would get candyfloss, but that didn't seem likely. But, after all they had also gotten candy on Halloween, so there was a chance..

"All of you have done very well," Antonio smiled. "The question and answer part of today's lesson is over, now we go on to the fun stuff. We've talked about carnivals here today, and I know some of you have been to them before but then, there are a lot of you who have probably never seen one before in your life. And so, what I am going to do is set up a small carnival here in the Muggle Studies area, with rides, games and food that you can all take part in and enjoy. But don't let things get out of hand because I'll warn you, I will be watching." Antonio looked around in a semi-threatening manner, just to make sure he had gotten his point across. "This carnival is based on one I went to years ago, a County Fair type thing which was attended by many muggles of all ages, but they won't be able to find this one here at Hogwarts." He laughed. "You'll find that I've expanded my office area so that you will all be quite comfortable here. After the carnival is over, everything will go back to normal. And, there is homework," he said, posting it up for the students. "You won't be able to do it until you've actually experienced the carnival, so take note of that. And have fun. Just not too much." He laughed drily.

"That's it, I am going to go ahead and set the carnival up now and then you can all start seeing what it's really like," Antonio said.

They were going to-..well not exactly going to, but whatever- a carnival! Meredith hadn't expected that at all..
Candyfloss, here I come, she thought and grinned. She wrote down the homework quickly, her handwriting not very neat because she was writing fast and exited. YAY!

A carnival. Good Merlin.

Writing down her homework, she half wondered if Dumont was just teasing. Eh. Probably. After she was finished, she looked over at Clifford sure that he was excited. About the food, at least. Well, there was no way she was eating junk good. Yuck. "Erm .. I suppose we should go, then.." She mumbled with a small frown, stuffing her stuff into her bag and getting up into her feet. Well, at least this promised to be fun.

Qaz was thrilled. Rides, junk food, games...here I come!

ZOOOMG! They were gonna get to go to one of these carnival things! And eat all that unhealthy food they'd listed! And go on the rides! WHEEE! Clifford was excited. Very, very excited. So excited he completely forgot to write the homework down, shoved everything messily in his rucksack and practically dragged Evangeline away. YAAAY!

Penny wrote down her homework and looked at the carnival. This was going to be a blast. She has not been to one in a long time. She shot Maddox a smile when the professor said to have fun. She was going to have as much fun as possible.

A carnival? Helena sighed. How dreadful it was to have to take Muggle Studies. It wasn't as if Helena was uninterested, though, it was just that she had firsthand experience with Muggles and relearning things she already knew was very unappealing. Still, she had not ever been to a carnival. What was the worst that could happen?

Antonio smiled. "Yes, have fun at the carnival, all of you, and then go ahead and get the homework done once you're finished. I'm very interested in what your observations and thoughts are on this phenomenon."
