Emily scratched her head and frowned. Well that was just plain confusing. She copied down the homework still wondering why muggles felt the need to dance when defending themselves... and what was that rubbish about Martian art. What did aliens have to do with punching and kicking... and drawing? Gah!

Antonio said, "Yes, of course. If anyone has any questions about this assignment they may certainly come and visit me in my office."

Miranda sighed and wondered if the class was over. Were we waiting for someone?
She started to write down some notes, answering the questions for homework. [i]Better do this as soon as possible, and why not do it now while we wait. Taking a deep breath she began.

Kathrina was sitting quietly waiting on the person the professor was talking about arrive. she had already briefly looked over the homework assignment in her head, wondering how long it would take her to finish the work. she had just caught up in arthimacy, still behind in Charms. ugh this is not been her week.
she sat there contempulating her lack of friends, while the everyone else was mumbling quietly about what was to happen next.

Antonio turned to the class and said, "Students, I am sure all of you know Antwone? He is here to speak to you about a new and exciting club that I think all of you will find very interesting, one I encourage each and every one of you to join. I'll be sponsoring the club, but it's really Antwone who deserves the credit for coming up with this whole idea to begin with. Antwone, is there anything you would like to say? Or would you like me to continue?"

Antwone tripped into the classroom, late as ever. His glasses were skewed on the bridge of his nose, leafs bedecked his nappy hair and his robes were a bit tattered.

"Professor, I am so sorry. I was held up by ..." he trailed of, realizing that all the students were looking to him anxiously. "Is it the end of class already?"

He looked up to the board behind professor Dumont and the homework listed answered his question. Slowly and cautiously Antwone trotted to the front of the classroom, trying to crease out the wrinkles in his robes, oblivious to how tattered they looked. When he got to the front of the class he gave them all a nervous grin, the three scars streaking across the left side of face made a triple smile. The scars, though, were not new. They were noticeably old but still as prominent as if they were inflicted the day before. This was the sign of cursed scar, one that couldn't be removed. Antwone didn't seem to take notice of them though, nor did he notice a few of the students looking at him oddly. They all were looking up to him so blankly. Here goes nothing, I suppose.

"So ..." he started. "I am aware that today you all learned about Muggle self-defense."

The fifth year Ravenclaw nodded his head towards the professor to make sure he was on the same page. Once he got an approving nod he continued to speak.

"I'm sure professor Dumont has already informed you that there will be a new club this term. I am here to confirm that we are indeed having a new club. Dueling Club to be more specific. I believe it's important for us all to know how to defend ourselves, especially with the dark creatures and bad people out there in the world. It is important to know self-defense. We can learn a lot from each other I hope. The headmistress has been kind enough to let me organize this club and I hope I see a lot of you on Sunday. If you return to your common rooms now you'll see on the bulletin boards there are a set of posters with the time and location of the first meeting. We should be going over boggarts and the art of the defensive spell 'protego'."

Antwone stopped speaking, letting the professor take it from this point.

"Thank you, Antwone," Antonio said. "That was very well put. I agree that every young witch and wizard needs to learn the art of self defense, you never know when it might come in handy, just as in the case of our friends the muggles who we have learned about today. There are many, many dangerous creatures in our world, as Antwone here has pointed out, and to that end, we hope to provide all the students with the basic fundamentals of how to duel successfully. This is, of course, in addition to what you will be learning in DADA, which is essential, but in the world today, it's good to know as much as you possibly can and to practice.

To that end, we would like you to come to our very first meeting of the Dueling Club, which is going to be held this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. EST in the Room of Requirement. For those of you who don't know, the Room of Requirement is located on the 7th Floor of Hogwarts, and it is going to serve our purposes perfectly. We would love to see all of you there, and believe that you will not only find it very educational, but, well, fun. I personally believe that you learn best when you're enjoying yourself, so please try to make it there if you can, all of you." Antonio smiled at the group, hoping they would all attend the first meeting of the Dueling Club. "That's all I have for right now. Hope to see you there!"
