Meredith was listening intently to the conversation. One of them was talking about letters-a Gryffindor student bumbed into her and Meredith was enitrely distracted. She was pretty sure she'd seen her before, however she couldn't remember where.
Oh, she was blind! Meredith didn't know there were blind people in Hogwarts. "Oh, it doesn't matter. Are you okay?" she asked Kairi. Then she realised she hadn't introduced herself. "I'm Meredith. I'm a first year too, but I'm in Ravenclaw."

Barry got up from his place and went over to Meredith he whispered "If your going to spy do it better" then he saw that she was talking to a freind he smilled at her and said "Hi I`m Barry Weasley a Third Year Ravenclaw you are?"

Meredith blushed. So, she was a bad at spying..well, she hadn't had a lot of practice. Spying made it sound sort-off bad. But well, she couldn't help being curious! "Hey Barry" she said and then whispered very softly, so even Kairi wouldn't be able to hear "I thought I was doing pretty well..Do you know anything about it?" she was very curious how many students knew about this thing.

"Nice to meet you, Meredith, Barry," Kairi said nodding at them both. Her expert ears caught the spy floating between the two ravenclaws, something was going on, but she didn't know what, "I think I saw you the other day talking to Via, remember?" she asked Meredith, deciding to go against asking them what was going on.

"You know Via? Thats good" said Barry. Wait a minuite this was the ice ball shooting girl! Oh he had to be careful around her he said " I ah have to go um I forgot about my astronamy homework!" then he whispered to Meredith "I do. Now I`ll see you later" then he went out he needed to work on those letters!

Kairi raised her eyebrow at Barry, she recognised him and it looked like he recognised her too, but not in a good way. "What's his problem?" Kairi asked Meredith, curiously.

Livvy walked towards the bookshelves and scanned for a book. She smiled and walked towards Meredith and Kairi as she stepped aside to let a zooming Ravenclaw boy pass. "Hey guys. What's up with him?" Livvy asked.

Kairi looked up when she heard Livvy's voice, "Hey, Livs," She looked at Barry who was just zooming out and shrugged, "As soon as he recognised me he rushed out, weird, huh?"

Livvy shrugged. "Guess.. weird guy. Seen him around before... think I've seen him with Via," she said, thoughtfully. Huh. She couldn't remember. Livvy glanced back but the boy was already gone.

"I think I met his cousin once, Jason was his name, they'd had a fight, I can't think why, Barry seems like a lovely chap," she said sarcastically.

Livvy snickered. "So that guy's Barry, eh?" she asked, nodding her head towards the exit. "So what's been going on? You seen Chris a lot lately?" It still felt a little awkward that the two were dating, but she had gotten used to it, a little.

"We broke up," Kairi said shortly.

Livvy stopped short and raised an eyebrow. They had broken up? She grew silent and looked down. She didn't want to be one of those that pestered someone with questions greatly, but she was filled with them! "Um... how?" Livvy asked, quietly.

"It's complicated, you sure you want to know?"

Livvy thought for a while and nodded her head. "Yes. Absolutely. I've got a big brain to figure out all the complexity," she said.

Seth straightforwardly let Elizabeth’s little comment about how it would have been better if he had known how to actually make people not think that he was a stalker. He would let that one slide this once – maybe even a few other times if it was necessary. “Did it really now? Well there was not much I could have done about that. Just doing a quick favour for a friend, you know.” And I’m just too cool not to be involved to be more specific.

“Yeah. I’m not a stalker. Didn’t I just tell you that, Elizabeth?” he asked, wondering what had happened to that Ravenclaw brain of hers. They were – after all – supposed to be the smart ones of the whole school. “Not like there are that many places where I could look? Merlin, there’s thousands of places just inside this castle I could have searched. … I assure you that I’m not stalking you nor anyone else; I just came here for your help.”

Seth sighed. Why did girls have to be pains in the rear end sometimes? He had asked the Ravenclaw for her cousin’s name nicely. So what really was the problem? Maybe it was the fact that most girls were just flat out weird. “Yeah, that’s right. The French Slytherin brunette,” he said with a few nods of his head in agreement. “And no, I did not make her think that I was a stalker. We met up on the seventh floor all thanks to good ol’ Barnabas. … She knows my name, and I think it’s only right that I know hers as well. I mean, do you think she’d really like to refer to her as Slytherin Girl?”

Elizabeth shrugged. "I would have thought you could have chosen a favor that maybe wouldn't have made there be so much tension. But that's just me. And all I knew about any situation was what happened at the start-of-term feast." She paused. "I tend to keep a low profile."

She shook her head and laughed as Seth acted like he thought she was dense. "Yes, you may have mentioned it. That didn't mean I had to believe it. And lets see . . . I would have started by looking for me in classes. Or here, or the lounge. And if you had gotten desperate enough, you could have camped out in the corridor outside our comon room." She grinned as she figured he wouldn't have done that.

She faked a thoughtful expression as he explained more about his meeting with Asteira. "So you both just happened to show up in the seventh-floor corridor at the same time. And obviously you introduced yourself, but for some reason she chose not to reciprocate. I'm not exactly sure I'm in the position to randomly give her name out to anyone who asked. I mean, I wouldn't want her to complain to my sister-in-law about how I invaded her privacy or something." She was starting to have fun annoying Seth with her non-compliance.

“I guess that I could have as well, but I was doing this for a friend of mine,” Seth repeated himself. “And, for a friend, you should stick up for them and be there no matter how little or how much tension there could be. However, I am sure you know all about the whole ‘stick up for your friends through thick and thin’ deal. So I will not even bother going on and on about this matter. What’s done is done, no turning back in time now.”

The Hufflepuff prefect raised an eyebrow and ran a hand through his blonde hair when Elizabeth started laughing. Was it something he had said? He had not even attempted to make any jokes for all he knew. It was official – the girls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were loopy. Yet here he was trying to learn the name of one of them. Did that make any sense at all?

“Well, I found you here, though, didn’t I?” he asked with a petite grin on his face. “To be perfectly honest with you though, classes really aren’t the greatest of times to spark up a conversation with someone. And camping outside your common room would be closer to stalking than anything else. … However, that does not matter. The point is that I found you. So yeah.”

Seth could tell that the thoughtful expression on her face was a bit of a fake one. It just had to be a fake. Did she not understand the seriousness of this? What really was the problem with telling someone someone’s name? “C’mon, Elizabeth. Help me out. All I am asking for is her name – nothing more or less. Please?”

Oh, Merlin, this Ravenclaw was going to end up making him beg. Troll boogers! He was already begging away, wasn’t he? Great, just great….

"As a matter of fact, I do know about the concept of sticking up for my friends," Elizabeth stated, before letting the topic drop as it appeared Seth had. Of course, a person had to get to be her friend before they got to the point where she'd defend them, but that was a given. She looked at him curiously as he raised an eyebrow, expecting him to say something, especially since it had apparently been triggered by her laughing, but he never said anything. Not, at least, about that subject.

"I had homework," she said, rolling her eyes as he pointed out he had found her there. "Plus I like to read. Some people know that about me." Rhiannon, the rest of her family, Asteira, Nicholai . . . She couldn't remember if she'd mentioned that fact to anyone else, like Ludo or Mari, but that wasn't the point. "And I meant more like, before or after class. And of course I didn't actually expect you to camp out. You're way too adamant about not being a stalker to consider that." Now she was teasing. Which meant she was definitely starting to have fun.

She narrowed her eyes like she was considering caving and giving him Asteira's name, but then grinned. "What's in it for me? I mean, you're asking for my help. Can I expect some sort of reciprocal effort, if I find it necessary?" Yes, she was having fun making him work for it.

"It's nice to meet you too!" Meredith said, smiling. Oh, now she remembered the girl, sh had been doing something strange. Wait a moment-how could Kairi have seen her when she was blind?
"Er, I'm not sure if I understood you correctly..but did you just say you saw us? I thought you said you are blind.."
"Bye Barry, good luck with your homework!" she said and waved. He had to tell her more about it when they met next time!
"Hi Livvy! I have no idea..I guess he has to hand in the homework soon or something.." but it was a bit strange, how he had reacted.
"Yeah, that's Barry. I met him at the openingsfeast. He seemed like a nice guy.." He must have some good reason for leaving so quickly..
Oh. Meredith felt sorry for Kairi..She didn't want to intrude, she didn't even know this Chris. Uncomfortable, she looked at the books.

Kairi gave Meredith a small grin, "When I say I saw, it means I saw you through vibrations, that's how I see, and yeah, Barry seems eager to get on with something that not many people enjoy," Kairi felt Meredith's vibrations, "Don't feel sorry for me, hun, life is life, it's the way it rolls," she said sadly.

Oh, intersting, vibrations. It was good, at least Kairi wasn't fully disabled of seing things-well sort off.
She wasn't entirely sure what Kairi meant with the comment about Barry. Did she know something she didn't?
Okay, so these vibrations were a bit creepy. Had Kairi felt through these vibrations that she felt sorry for her?
When the first year Gryffie said life is life, she sounded a bit sad, if Meredith had interpreted it correctly, at least.
"You're quite lucky to have that vibration-thingy..it's better than seing nothing, at least. Have you always been blind..or was it an accident or something?"

Tia wandered into the library and ran straight to the bookshelves that held the books on vampires

Levi walked casually into the library. He wasn't looking for anything inparticular, but was quite bored and needed something to do. He headed over to the Fiction novels and started scanning the books. None of the titles sounded interesting, so he moved farther down the isle.

Meredith was still a bit uncomfortable, and looking away. That was when she spotted Tia walking in the library. "Excuse me, I'm just going over to Tia for a while okay? I don't think she's seen me, and you have to be quiet in here..so I'm just going to go over to where she is shortly. See you later!" she said to Livvy and Kairi.
She quickly walked over to Tia. "Hey Tia, what are you looking for?" she asked.
