=0 Oh no he didn! Although Rapunzel was feeling INCREDIBLY furious at the moment, she couldn't help but find it funny that they had the same exact reaction to her word choices. Flirtfriend - quite clever if I do say so myself, she thought, cackling inwardly at their identical expressions. "What. Ever." She rolled her eyes at their immature protesting. "And Kovac, you know you're just jealous that boys don't look at you the same way they look at me," Punz flipped her golden hair over one shoulder and simpered at the Ravvie. Oooooh burrrrn. "I'm sorry Kovac, did you just attempt to teach me manners?!" Rapunzel's mouth fell open in mock shock. This was just too much for the theatrical in Punzel - she put a hand over her heart and took one step back. "MERLIN have mercy, the world is ENDING! I can't believe she KNOWS the phrase 'excuse me!'" Rapunzel shook her head as fake tears sprang to her eyes. "Never thought I would see the---" She stopped speaking abruptly as something hard and pointy hit her smack dab in the center of her forehead, bringing real tears to her eyes this time. "Oh!" Punz muttered, touching the spot on her forehead where the book's sharp corner had hit her. She pulled her hand away from her head and glanced at the blood on her fingertips. "Ohhh," she mumbled more softly this time. And then she fainted. |
Ludo strolled into the Library. The quiet mutterings of students already bustling about and the tall bookshelves gridlocked with books made him feel relaxed. He strolled aimlessly around the shelves. Classes wouldn't start for a while so he looked for something to read for enjoyment. He stopped at the Guide Book containing the old man. "Hello Sir," he said quietly. "Know where I can find something interesting on up to date Potion discoveries?" The old man grinned and muttered, "Back shelf, third row. A Recent Development in Potion Work. Ludo headed for the back of the Library when he glanced over to the windows. Liz was there. Not having seen her since the feast he made his way over there instead. |
Madame Kohan, who had been making rounds in the library to determine if the students needed help, suddenly stopped in her tracks as she heard heated voices. It was the beginning of term and already there were students who seemed to be acting out. Beginning to walk once more, she turned her strolling in the direction of the voices. She stepped around a bookshelf; just in time to see a book flying across the expanse of space and colliding with a girl's head. Having no idea how to react initially, she simply stood there for a few moments before her face turned up in obvious anger. "You." She pointed towards the Hufflepuff boy who had thrown the book. "10 points from Hufflepuff and detention for you. I will not have someone disrespect this library." She spoke in a low, quiet, almost deadly-sounding voice, all the while staring sternly at him. Next, she moved to the Hufflepuff girl who had fallen to the floor; bent down, and attempted to awaken her. "Come on, dear." She requested, her voice and facial expression one of concern. |
Ludo headed back into the bookshelves looking for that Potion book when he heard someone yell. He rounded a corner and found the Librarian scolding a Hufflepuff. What surprised him even more was the sight of the girl on the floor, unconcious and blood on her forehead. He didn't want to put himself in the way but couldn't stop himself from offering help. "Madam Kohan! Do I need to fetch someone from the Hospital Wing?" he said. |
oh yes he DID! ;P Dominic was surprised when Mystery girl pretty much had the same reaction to 'flirtfriend'. She was actually proving to be quite entertaining minus the part about her house winning the championships; which despite the fact that he had just assaulted his potential captain with a book in the head, he wondered if he could help change that. Thoughts of winning the championships flooded his mind, as he almost forgot what he had just thrown. Vaguely hearing mystery girl say it was spectacular, he smirked at her but then narrowed his eyes. "Not the wisest thi-? what?" He blinked at the girl, bewildered for a moment before turning to face Hyper girl. EEK! Well at least she's quiet... but did she? Oh noes! I've killed the captain! Dominic thought, wide eyed, staring down at the blond who had a little blood oozing from her forehead. Gulping, the fourth year tried to decide what to do next: run away? tempting. But before he could do anything, he heard a stern voice calling him out. "Me?" he answered meekly. Gulp! Points lost and detention already before classes have even started! This was good... Biting his lower lip, he looked back over towards Mystery girl before turning to face the librarian again. "What about her?! I'm not the onlyy one at fault here!" he said, attempting to reason with her. "The girls were bantering and it just... i was infuriated with it all!" Mystery girl was just as to blame as he was, clearly. |
Uh-oh. They were in trouble. All of them. Okay, not all of them, but strange sarcastic Hufflepuff boy was. And it was all because of Rapunzel, of course. You'd say that even though she was absolutely brainless at least her head would be hard enough to resist that hit, yes? Well--no. Rapunzel was not, lying on the floor unconscious. Willow took a step back, trying to keep her distance from the Hufflepuff Captain. The question was, however, since when Madame Kohan had been so--intimidating? Last term when Willow visited her she had seemed pretty nice. The fourteen year old would have never thought of her as intimidating. Now she did, of course. Yet another reason to never visit the library again. "Hmm... I don't think she can walk, Madame Kohan." Pointed out Willow from where she was. "I believe she's unconscious." Trust Rapunzel to do such a thing. Fainting in the middle of the library! Hmph. "As much as I would have loved to chuck that book at her, I was not the one that ended up doing it!" Replied Willow hastily, narrowing her eyes at him. Okay, she should not have said that. But really, she hadn't chuck the book at Rapunzel's head! Besides, the girl had totally asked for it. |

"Thank you for the offer, young man, but I'll be able to take her to the hospital wing myself." She answered with a warm smile in his direction. Quote:

"Now, I will send the details of your detention later." She looked pointedly at the Hufflepuff boy. She was, of course, rather angry and upset that he had damaged a book; but managed to refrain from completely showing her true feelings. With a flick of her wand, she levitated the young girl and began to walk towards the entrance of the library, intending to bring her straight to the hospital wing. She knew basics of first-aid, of course, but would rather a trained Healer to assess her. |

Anger what skills!? Gah! The only thing that perhaps made the situation any lighter was that the librarian was the first person who had referred to him as a young man, which did brighten the moment better. Besides hitting hyper girl with a book. Dominic nodded in understand and sighed, as he listened to her talk for a moment to mystery girl before re-addressing him and letting him know she'll send details of the detention later. "Looking forward to it," he said sarcastically, before looking briefly at mystery girl. Biting his lower lip gently, he nodded to her briefly before turning and heading out on the library. Details of the detention will come... will come... will come... he thought, repeating it over in his head. |

Nico looked up, hearing raised voices, a thud and then the sound of an authority figure nearby- perhaps in the next row of bookshelves- and gave Mari a long suffering look. "I think everyone is just a little over excited about having the girls and boys reunited. I'm not sure there is anyplace in the school completely free from something happening." He smiled wryly- at least whatever was happening over there had nothing to do with him. He pulled a book off the shelf absently and grinned at Mari, "Nice to see that they aren't 'ministry approved'. All the books at Coopers, and probably Belles, had been hand picked as 'appropriate' reading material." Nicholai made a face; he had hated the censorship at Coopers almost as much as the lack of proper education provided by most of the Ministry professors. Nico yawned and blinked slowly for a moment before shooting an off-guard smile at Mari. "Sorry, all the drama is taking alot out of me for some reason." usually he thrived off it. |

Mari arched a brow as Nico spoke to her." You would think that some of them had never seen the opposite gender." She said dryly. She pulled her hair upwards and began securing it into a bun with a few hairpins she always kept on her. She returned the smile that Nico gave her. " Appropriate reading material?" She repeated, her eyebrow arched in a curious way." I thought all books were appropriate for at least one occasion or another." She said quietly as she finished putting her hair up. She laughed a little as he yawned and she shrugged. " I actually find it too cold here to get very tired." She said with a half smile. " But there's a lot going on now, and a lot to remember. Sometimes I get a little...overwhelmed." She said after choosing the words carefully. |
Madame Kohan was not looking pleased over the comment Willow had uttered. Of course she wouldn't. No one could understand how much she detested Rapunzel Black, after all. "Right. I apologize, Madame Kohan," Muttered Willow chewing on her lip. Mind you, she was sorry for voicing that thought, not for wanting to do that. Well--at least she would not have to deal with Rapunzel anymore. "See you, stranger," Said Willow to the Odd Hufflepuff kid, with a a half smile towards him, before exiting the Library cheerfully. It was the second time since the Term had begun --which had been only around a week ago-- and Willow had already managed to walk out free of two situations that she had created. Heh. |
Sneeze looked and saw what he was looking for. "Rian?" It took a second for him to notice. "How are you!" |
Rian smiled at Sneeze and nodded. "The one and only," she replied a bit sarcastically. She laughed and shook her head. "I'm great, how about you?" |
"I'm alright. A guy really changes having to take care of a bull for a month!" He looked down at Rian for the first time. It was only two inches, but it was something. |
Rian giggled when it finally clicked in her brain that she was shorter than Sneeze. "Guess so," replied smiling. "You grew," she said, stating the obvious. |
"Oh, yeah... What were you looking for?" He asked Rian |
Rian shook her head in answer to his question. "Nothing really in particular. Something about St. Mungos..." she said, scanning her eyes over the bookself to her right. |
Ludo nodded to Madam Kohan. He stepped back and watched in silence as she passed, the Hufflepuff girl floating through the air in front of her. "Violence this early in the term." he thought, shaking his head. The intense moment passed and Ludo continued his search for the Potions book, his excitement diminished after the sight of the Hufflepuff's blood. Following the old man's directions he found the correct shelf. After several minutes of scanning he found it. A hard binded book with a bubbling cauldron on the cover. He tucked the book under his arm and headed for the front desk. |

"I agree, I'll pretty much read anything." He nodded and yawned again, "And I find it exceedingly warm; although I'm getting used to it." Nico smirked, "Yes, remembering who is who, what they did, who they are with; it can all be a little...overwhelming." Nicholai yawned again, "But I'm sure I can help you keep things straight. For now though I think I'm going to go find my sister; I haven't seen her since watching her play with her food at the feast." He shot Mari a sleepy looking smile, "I'm sure I'll run into you again soon." Nicholai turned around and without looking back, strolled from the library, stroking his ring and wondering where Celandine was. |

She smiled widely as he yawned again and a stray thought ran through her mind, one which gleefully informed her that he was indeed quite likable when he was all smiles and sleepy. Then again, she seemed to like him no matter what. That was the part that bothered her. " I'm very happy to have met you then." She said with a little laugh. Mari was actually very sure Nico would help her; He seemed to know everyone worth knowing, but better yet he seemed to just...get her. That didn't happen very often for her. " Alright, I'll see you around then." Mari nodded a bit as if to seal the deal, her face turning the lightest shade of pink as he smiled at her again before turning to leave. She watched him for a few moments and then she folded her arms across her chest, smiling idly to herself as she thought about their conversation. Had he been flirting with her at all, or had it just been silly and wishful thinking on her part? She decided that she didn't much mind either way because she had thoroughly enjoyed her time with him. Of course, he had managed to get her to tell him more than she had learned from him but she would change that soon enough. Mari contented herself with a few more minutes in the library before turning to leave, making mental notes on which books she would want next time. She had seen a few books on charms that had piqued her interest, but she would wait to see just how large a homework load she had before tacking anything extra onto it. |
Sneeze looked up where Rian was looking and reached for it. He was three inches shorter than the book shelf, but after jumping a bit, he got it, and handed it to her. |
Rian laughed when Sneeze got the book and thanked him as she held it. It was just the one she was looking for. She smiled as she moved it to her left arm and rested her right on a lower shelf. "Wizarding inventions?" she asked, looking at the book Sneeze was holding. |
"Oh, well, I'm trying to get new ideas for inventions, now that I have a bit of money to use, you know the bags that Jason and Edie gave me. I've been trying to buy some, but it seems most of these books are gone, and only found at Hogwarts. Why are you looking for something on St. Mungo's?" Sneeze asked. |
Rian nodded when Sneeze explained. "Well, I'm thinking about trying to get a job there after I graduate Hogwarts," she explained when he asked her about the book she was holding, "I know that's a ways away, but," she shrugged. |
"Never too early to start thinking! I started inventing when I was two, and I still know it's my future job. So, how is Lily?" Sneeze asked. |
