Diana walked in and sat down beside Christine.She said to her,"Hey,is'nt it great that Hufflepuff is in the 3rd position.By the way,which subject are you doing?"

She smiled as Ella helped her out of the stretcher and led her to the couch. She was feeling so grateful for the kindness. "I'm a lot better now. Thanks a lot to you." She sighed and then said, "nice Nurse, huh?" then she snorted.

She sunk deep into the comfy couch. "It's okay, Lima.." she patted on her arm solacingly. "You're feeling better, that's important, right?" she said but immediately frowned when the talks turned to the Nurse. "Awe...Awesome!!" she said sarcastically and gritted her teeth.

Sam returned to the Hufflepuff Common Room in his Quidditch robes, utterly defeated. He'd played horrible! Was it just lack of practice? Lack of attention? Lack of skill? Sam shuddered at the thought. Quidditch was the only thing that he thought he really excelled in. And now he couldn't even score in a tryout? Of course, they'd all been playing as chasers, and he was naturally a beater but...that was no excuse.

Sam collapsed into a chair beside the fireplace, his dirty robes and face contrasting with the clean fabric of the armchair. He still had his broom in his hands, something he hadn't noted until just then. Sam placed the broom across his knees. He sat still, eyes glassy and reflecting the thick dark wooden handle. He stroked it sullenly, thinking of his defeat. Sam was in danger of slipping into his depression again.

The young first year, letter tucked deep in her robe pocket, entered the common room fighting back a large smile. If she had it her way, where she wouldn't be embarassed, right now she'd be beaming like there was no sadness in the world at all. Yet she didn't want to seem like a fool for being so young, so "innocent", as some would call it.

Which was when she spotted someone who looked older and whose expression was the total opposite of her own. She cocked her head curiously, taking cautious steps over towards him. The broom on his knees gave her some idea - she vaguely remembered hearing it was tryouts.

Now more curious than ever, with the want to make this person feel better about what could only be a failure at tryouts, she came to a stop, falling into the chair next to his. 'I'm guessing you haven't done so well at tryouts today.' Mina brushed her dark fringe out of her eyes as she watched the boy, her exuberant mood temporarily pushed to the back of her mind.

Kayla walked into the common room in a very unhappy state. She had so many different feelings bubbling up inside her she was sure to burst at any moment. She took her bag off her shoulder and contemplated throwing ti across the room but she noticed a couple of other people in the room so she refrained from doing so.

Instead she threw herself into one of couches by the fire and stared aimlessly into the burning flames. If she had of known coming back to school was going to cause this much pain, then she would rather have stayed where she had been. Even when she was...where she was, she hadn't felt like this.

"Hey you!" Eva called the blonde girl that had just come in. She went to sit down next to her friend.
"When you left you were furious, now you're just... hurt." she said. Soflty, she continued. "Care to tell me what happenned?" she asked although she was already guessing. "Was it Nico, again?"

I am a fourth year. lauren replied "you?"

Kayla looked up at Eva with a miserable look on her face and she nodded. "Why does he keep doing this to me Eva?" she wailed. "Am I such a bad person that he has to keep hurting me like this?"

Eva hugged her friend.
"Ssh.." she said, remebering a time when someone had done the same to her. "What did he do this time, Kay? Tell me everything." she said, brushing her friend's hair from the face.

"You're not a bad person." and neither was Nico. She had met him. Of course, he had too many girls around, but he wasn't a bad person. he was just...a Slytherin.

" I'm in third", Cassie said. She looked at her homework for a second, then started on it. She didn't know what else to say.

"A friend showed me some pictures they had taken and some of them included Nico and he was..." she swallowed the lump in her throat and took a deep breath..." he was with other girls Eva. And it looked as though he had been kissing them and holding hands with them."

"After all the things he had said to me and promises made and as soon as I'm away, he goes off and plays around behind my back" Kayla shook her head and blinked back the tears. "If he didn't want to be with me anymore he should have just told me instead of being sneaky about it."

Eva didn't believe. But... if there was photos.
"Have you talk to him already?" she suggested. She didn't wnat to see her friend crying but, for Eva, to help a friend wans't telling him what he wanted to hear. No, she had to explore all the possibilities and analise the situation.
"Or,...... he has a sister right? She'd know if he cheated on you. You can talk to her. Just.... keep calm and... see if it's true." recently, she had had an experience. Because not everything appears to be what it really is.

"Yeah I've spoken to him about it" she sniffed. "And he didn't exactly deny it. Actually he didn't say too much about it, all he wanted to know was who took the pictures" Kayla wiped at her eyes, this was the first time she had cried about it.

"And I've spoken to his sister as well and even she admits that he's quite capable of doing something like this. So that doesn't exactly give me a vote of confidence either" she leaned back in the chair and sighed deeply.

"Even is there is a reasonable explanation to all of this. The fact remains that he always flirts with other girls and I have always let it slide. But for him to be sitting that close to other girls and touching them, even if they're are just friends, that just doesn't seem right to me. What do you think Eva? Am I being paranoid or is what he is doing wrong?" Kayla really wanted to hear what Eva thought because she was driving herself mental thinking about it.

"thank you," kat said meaning it. she hoped that Mari was right that it did indeed get easier. "I have a hard time making friends'cause im shy, but i hope i can open up some. you know be social and all." kat chucked alittle at the last part.

Miranda was exhausted from the Duelling...club.
She went to sit at one of the comfy chairs by the fire. Someone had left a copy of Quidditch Throught the Ages on one of the nearby tables. Looking around if someone was looking for it she noticed that no one was paying attention to her.
She smiled, took the book and started to read. Ofcourse if someone came looking for it she'd give it to them.

She sighed content, she'd left her copy up in the dormitory.

Hey Diana Christine said as she looked up from her homework. I'm taking charms, arthimancy, muggle studies, herbology, transfiguration and defense against the dark arts.

"Cool!!!"said Diana."I'm taking quite like yours.I'm taking Charms,Arithmancy,Muggle studies,Transfiguration,DADA and Potions.So you're doing the Charms homework.I wish I could have done with you.But I've already submitted it.Did you make any new friends?I have'nt."She suddenly looked very gloomy.

Well I went down to the lake to practice the levitation charm, and I met this guy name Nate. He is a first year gryffindor, and he is freakishly tall like I am Christine told Diana with a laugh. He was also at the flying lesson with me, we had a good time, played tag on the broom, and then we got in trouble.

"That's good!"Diana said,with a sad smile,on her face."Well,.....er.....what trouble did you guys get into?"she asked,at the same time,moodily tapping the table.She knew she was showing that she felt gloomy,but she could'nt help it.

Well.... the the Professor was explaining what we should doing, I wasn't really paying attention, since I was nervous to fly, so I started goofing around once I got the hang of flying, and I should have been flying the obstacle course he had set up.... so, yeah I got in trouble. While Christine was rambling, she noticed that Diana looked off. Hey are you ok"? We can talk about it if you want.

Diana looked at Christine's concern and decided to tell her.After a minutes silence,she said,"Well,I guess it's kind of home-sickness.I really miss my mom and my cousins.And moreover,I've got no other friends except you.I'm not used to such things,'cause I had many friends around my home.Things can't go on like this:-only giving assignments,attending classes and getting marks.Mum does reply to my letters,but getting two or three friends would perhaps.....";she shrugged and broke off.........Then she smiled and said,"You do'nt have to worry.I guess I'll have to pull on like this throughout the year."

Hey now..... On our first night here, wasn't I feeling that way and you cheered me up? I don't think you will go the entire semester with me as your only friend. If your not shy, and go up and introduce yourself yo people, you would be surprised how nice some people hear are. Hey and if that doesn't work we can always go walk the hall and stalk new friends Christine told Diana with a wink.

Diana laughed for the first time in the day,and her eyes brightened.She said,"You'll introduce to me some people,wo'nt you?I actually feel shy,talking to new people,and can't overcome that.Could you help me in making friends?"

Sure, no problem. I will introduce you, and once they say hi to you, I'm running off Christine told her laughing. I'm just kidding, but I guess I can introduce you to the few people I know.
