After your journey through a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there, you find yourself standing before a still life painting. Upon giving the correct password, you are allowed access to a warm, welcoming underground room, decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours. Gathered around the large fireplace are several oversized and overfilled plump sofas, which resemble fluffy clouds, and a variety of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.

A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here than in their dormitories or the library.

Portraits of past well-known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks, who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power, as well as the Fat Friar. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.

Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left.

After a nice long Feast, meeting up with people he had dearly missed, Curt made a beeline for the common room. He muttered the password and the door flew open, his heart rate climbing as he entered the place he had missed more than just about anything.

It was warm, welcoming, and cozy. Everything he had missed out on in Coopers. Surprisingly, it was completely empty too. Curt couldn't help it, he rose his arms in the air and stretched as he ran over to the lounge area and sprawled out on the sofa. Man it was nice to be back, he waiting eagerly for the rest of his housemates to come in.

Maddox entered the common room. It was amazing. One hundred times better then the one at coopers. "Wow...this place is great." Was all he could muster to say. He ploped down on a couch and just sat there in awe of the place. He started to wonder where Lima was after a few minutes. He figured she was probably just catching up with some friends.

Lima came in the room right after him. She laughed as he sat down and looked around the room in awe. She picked up on of the pillows from the couch and hit him with it playfully saying, "I told you that you would like it here."

Curt sat back up as he heard another voice, and it appeared to have come from Maddox. He thought that the guy was talking to him, but after a moment it seemed that he wasn't. Curt sat up and smiled as Maddox sat down. "Hey Maddox." Curt said, scratching the back of his head. "Nice to be back, isn't it." he said, looking into the fireplace that was always a source of comfort in the winter.

Curt took another glance at the door, hoping that maybe Vannah was going to enter. Turning back to Maddox, Curt grinned. "So, how was your summer mate? Do anything worth mentioning?" He asked with a grin, he had missed the common room more than he realized.

There was another noise and Curt looked up to see Lima enter the common room as well. He wasn't exactly close to the girl or anything, but there were acquainted. "Hello Lima." he said with a grin, looking to Maddox who was obviously waiting for her.

Leading the first years way to the common room, showing them things along the way, Savannah beamed happily as she gave both the door painting and first years their password, practically jumping for joy inside her head when it slid open to reveal their beloved common room. "Boys dorm on your right, girls dorm on your left!" She gestured to one, then the other stepped further into the lounge, greeting the other older housemates with a smile.

Now, the first years could explore, or sleep. Do whatever they please, following rules of course. Savannah's eyes darted towards the girl's dorm, feet following. "I'll be back, older students I expect you to set an example for the younger lot; if there's any problems - which I honestly hope in the next ten minutes there won't be! - just shout." And with that she disappeared through another portrait door, off to change since Ariel had dumped a plate of food on her.

Tiger, on the other hand, prowled through circling furniture as he went further into the room.

Christine walked into the Hufflepuff common room. She didn't take anytime to really take in the room. She saw that there was a few other people in there. She walked over to an empty couch, and plopped herself down onto it. She leaned her head back and rested in on the back of the couch and starred at the ceiling

Diana walked in after Christine.Seeing that Ella,and the others she knew,were not there,she sat down in a couch beside Christine,and offered a hand of friendship,towards Christine,saying,"Hi,I'm Diana,a first-year.Can we be friends?"

MJ quickly walked into the common room and saw her favorite place in the world. This had been in her mind since she had left to go and look for her memories. It had been a long time but the smell was still familiar as well as the surrounding things. She saw the desk were Taylor had cried her eyes out when she had boy problems and beck and the others were over her comforting her.

She smiled as she saw the window. She had spent seem less nights looking at the moon and stars thinking about Vince. She had also had time to study near the window and she always had looked forward to see her owl flying in and leaving a letter.

It had been amazing times and she knew it. She saw that the old chair was still there, the chair that Misty had always claimed. She looked at the panda in her arms and sat her down. "Stay here, I will be right back." she told her and quickly left through the portrait door.

Misty looked after her owner and got off the chair and began to walk around seeing he new students.

Diana found a small panda wandering near her feet.She loved animals.She took up the little animal on her lap,and stroked it's back,uttering some soft sounds from her mouth.

Misty looked at the person who picked her up and touched her nose. She knew that she didn't know the girl and the girl didn't know her so she didn' know what to do. She touched her tummy and then her ear.
When the girl started to make soft sounds Misty jumped up and down and began to be playful

Christine felt someone sit down on the couch next to her. She looked over when she heard someone introduce themselves. This girl, Diana, was a first year like herself and wanted to be her friend. That would be nice she replied with out looking down from the ceiling. I haven't met a lot of nice people today, was kind of worried that this place was full of jerks. I've been preparing myself to be a loner for the next 7 years. Christine couldn't believe she was saying all this to Diana, but she couldn't take another jerk so she was going to put it all out there.

Diana was quite taken aback by Christine short speech.She thought,she must have had some problem.She placed a hand on her shoulder and said,"Who said you have to be a loner for the next 7 years?Do'nt worry!You wo'nt find me as those jerks you were talking about.You can rely upon me.You can tell me what has happened.Friends?"She smiled and stroked the panda,that was resting upon her lap.

Maddox heard a voice coming from somewhere, when he finally saw the body that went with it he smiled and said, "Hey curt!" He waved from his spot on the couch and said, "Well seeing as technically this is my first term at hogwarts..its amazing." He smiled.

Maddox wasnt sure how to answer his question. He had done alot this summer; most of it with lima because of her parents and all. "Well, my cousin and i got banned from floreans." He chuckled as he recalled that memory.

Well the people I shared a compartment with on the Hogwarts express weren't that nice. Especially this guy named Dominic, who happens to be in our house. I sat next to him in the great hall and he went out of his way to be mean and cruel to me and i was just trying to be friendly to him. Christine let out a big sigh. Her first day at Hogwarts really was going bad, and she wasn't looking forward to tomorrow. Diana seemed really nice, but was she the exception? Could Christine really trust to find other nice people when all her life she has been surrounded be mean people. Christine turned to look at Diana. Thanks she said with a small smile on her face

Sure, it has been a long day, I could use a good nights sleep Christine told Diana as she walked towards the door to the left to go to the girls dorms.

Misty rolled around when the girl tickled her kicking her legs in the air.

MJ walked into the common room with her socks and her shoes in her hand her feet wet and cold. As soon as she got inside the common room she raised her wand "Accio Towel." she said and a towel came to her. She did not want to ge the carpet or the floor wet and she hoped the rules hadn't changed, and that she could still do magic.

As soon as she grabed the towel she sat down and dried her small feet then she put her socks back on and smiled. "Better, now my feet can warm up." she said to no one in particular putting her wand away.

"Misty where are you?" she called and saw her sitting near the window in the chair were she had left her. "Hey Misty ready for bed sweety pie?" she asked her and Misty jumped up once and raise her hands that way she could be carried. "Okay then off to bed and tomorrow we shall go back to the lake.." she told Mity as she picked her up and headed to the girls dorm.

After the eventful train and feast all Crystal wanted to do now was a sit and chill out so she made her way towards the fireplace and the extremely inviting sofas, Once she had got there she dropped down into the one closest to the fire and looked around. Her attention was drawn to the photos of the past students, She was perticulary drawn to the one with the name plate Nymphadora Tonks she looked so pretty. Crystal was glad she wasnt around in the days of past and was getting down with the thought about it so she turned back to the fire.

Emalyn wandered into the common room. There was a fire in the fire place and the room was quite homely.
There were couches and bookcases and interesting things everywhere. There were a lot of Hufflepuffs...

Miranda was very content after the eventful feast and now headed to the common room, ''This place is HUGE! i hope i can remember my way down here again...'' She followed another huffie quickly through the portrait hole because she wasnt sure about the password. She at ease when she saw the common room, it looked really cozy, specially that fluffy chair over there, and went to sit.

Looking around she wonders if the nice girl she was talking to at the feast was here or not. She wanted to apologize for leaving so fast.

Sarah slowly walked into the Hufflepuff common room and scanned the room.
She was upset that the only friends she had made were in a different house to her,and she knew no-one here.
Looking towards the couches she could see people chatting and let out a long sigh.
I wonder if I'll ever get any friends in my own house, she thought.

Moving over to one of the plush chairs she sat herself down and leaned her head on her hand.
