Rachel managed another weak smile. She sighed and said, "Look, Kairi. I would tell you, really. It's not that I don't trust you, it's just..." I know that you'll make me go see a teacher, and then the whole school will know and everyone will look at me with pity in their eyes. But she didn't say the last part, she just trailed off and hoped that Kairi would get the point and not be offended.

I'm having problems at the moment, at home and with myself, sometimes I feel like I just want to go and cry my eyes out, I don't, but I should. It's bad for someone to keep something bottled up, you'll soon get depressed and that ain't fun, trust me," she said with a wink, "...but you don't have to tell a person or a friend, maybe a teddy bear or maybe even a banana?"

Rachel laughed a little, surprising herself. "Well, my owl knows but I haven't gotten round to telling my cat yet. Maybe I should go do that now," she said and grinned.
She walked towards Kairi to give her a thankful hug, when all the energy suddenly left her and she collapsed on the floor, exhausted and on the verge of fainting. Her permanent headache suddenly intensified and she felt like vomiting. What exactly are you going to vomit up, Rachel? You haven't eaten anything for the past few days.
She had completely forgotten about Kairi, too immersed in her pain.

Kairi suddenly felt Rachel's vibrations change, they were slow, in pain, and sick. Kairi immediately crouched down beside Rachel, the stone Freya had given her was clutched tightly in her hand. "Ditzy, honey? Listen to me, tell me what's wrong and I can help you," she said quietly to her, placing her hand on Rachel's arm.

Rachel groaned and heaved again, still nothing coming up. She felt like her insides were on fire. Dimly, she became aware of Kairi's voice, and felt her hand on Rachel's burning arm.
"No, I'm fine, Kairi. I told you..." Another heave. She panted and continued, "I didn't sleep well last night." She got up slowly, her head spinning. She felt hot and cold at the same time and she shivered. "Um Kairi, do you mind not telling anyone about this? Please?" she asked pleadingly, close to tears. No no no! Stupid family, stupid letter, stupid uncle...

Evolette was the beauty of the two. She was flawless really. No wonder she held court in Slytherin. A little bit of envy nudged Starling but she quickly pushed it away. Evolette deserved it thats for sure.
She shrugged her shoulders at the next question. "Trying to catch up in homework and stay out of detention." She said, laughing slightly. Detention had been occupying her free time as of late. Maybe it was because she couldn't hand in all her homework in time. "Sorry I haven't been able to see you or Hugo!" She apologized profusely. "How have you two been?"
