Hmm... house points hourglass. How in heaven's name did he end up here? He could have sworn he'd gone DOWN some stairs. The dungeons were down and that's where he'd set up his office. Now, why couldn't he find it again? It was first year all over again! Professor Bontecou groaned and looked around, wondering when someone would come along so he could ask for directions... or better yet, an escort.

"Is that where you want to go?" He asked him.

"Ah, yes, it is," he grinned. "That's not a bad map. I had one I made when I was in school but, I never thought I'd come back and I lost it. I have some books on map making if you want to put more detail into that. I even have some measuring instruments so you could make it to scale," he added.

Lainey was a little late with getting back to campus. She'd been late before, sure, but never quite this late. Before going up to her office, she swung by the House counters to see if her favorite House had gotten any points yet. Two boys were at the counters, "Boys," Lainey smiled at them. It'd been a long year with no boys last year. She definitely was going to have a sweet spot for the boys this year.

"OH! Are we? No wonder I've been walking around in circles. I could have sworn I went down some stairs before but, I still ended up here..." he stopped and bowed slightly to the familiar looking witch who rushed past them to the counter with a quick greeting.
"Professor Lainey! It's been ages! You look great!" he exclaimed, a little surprise coloring his voice. And she really did. The last time he'd seen her she'd only just barely come back from the dead and the pictures since then in the Prophet were anything but flattering.

Professor Lainey's face stayed crinkled as she turned slowly around. Oh. Not a boy. Or, less of a boy than the other young Slytherin. She frowned severely at him, knowing the face but not quite able to put her finger on the name. She scratched her nose as she moved closer to him.
Who are you? How do I know you? Where's your face from? were all questions that came to mind, but all seemed their own version of rude. She settled instead for a simple, "Thanks. Not looking too bad yourself." | |

He just sort of gave a short laugh and ran a hand through his hair while looking away. His gaze fell on the student and he twitched his lips to the side as he decided the hourglasses were quite enthralling. Yes, the rubies and sapphires were quite pretty the way they caught the light and the crystals could be used for many different potions and as focal points for spells and...

He usually ran away when one of his aunts was about to blow. Big girls scared him. "Professor," he squeaked out. "I think that it just says how pretty you are that you look better than most of your students." he said trying to get him and the professor out of hot water. He pulled a chocolate frog out of the front of his jumper and offered it to her. "You can have this." he said.
