"Well, I think over time I would have been able to accept it!" Cale snapped at her, his voice raising a bit. He looked around, realizing he could easily cause a scene in this place, so he kept his voice down. "I'd rather have you here and with another guy than not here at all! Have you even thought about the cost of living there? Or how difficult it's gonna be to move to another country, with another culture? Emma loves her school but the first few months are ROUGH." he told her, crossing his arms. This wasn't the Anna he knew. The old Anna would never run away from a problem like this. She would have stared it down in the eye and argued until she had beat it dead into the ground.

"Are you honestly telling me that you think that we're SOOOOOOO damaged from this breakup that one of us needs to leave and live in America? REALLY?" he exclaimed.

Dominic opened and closed his mouth several times as Mystery girl made a statement that sort of ended their little debate over her teeth. Not that he really wanted to continue it anyway; it was pointless really. For some reason, he was tired of arguing at that point. Tired of girls mostly, but that was besides the point. And her stupid grin was driving him insane.

Blinking at her a few times, Dom was having a hard time trying to believe this was the same mystery girl he met in the bookstore and then the library. Girls were like chameleons; changing with the environment. She didn't seem like the apology type? Like the mystery girl whom he found quite fascinating. Sighing quietly, he nodded. "Your apology was quite lovely, might I admit, but on moment. Patience, mystery person of sorts," he told her quietly, as he turned back to look at the laughter coming from Slytherin girl.

And then his jelly slugs had hit her... in the eye! Oh that was hilarious! Especially when she squealed... NOT! Such a girly-girl this one was proving to be.

Especially when one landed in her hair and she conceded into letting him win. Actually, she was more pleading for him to stop; screaming. He stopped and just watched her for a moment. Girls... and merlin! Was she... crying? Eek! Overly emotional and stupid girls surrounded him. Looking from Mystery girl to emotional slug girl, he blinked and then eyed the door.

"Er..." he really was not good with crying girls at all. "Enjoy your candy. Errrrrrrr.... byeeee!"

And without another word, he dashed from the candy store. Oh yes, avoidance was always the best policy when in doubt.

Evolette didn't fancy any sweets, but she was bored and so she walked into the shop. Spotting Cale and Anna she almost hid behind a display and watched the show before her, but she was supposed to be Cale's girlfriend, so she should probably make her presence known.

Walking up to stand beside him, she smiled, "There you are. I thought I would find you here." she said sweetly, taking ahold of his arm. Then pretending to just notice Anna, and smiled again, "Oh, hello again Anna."

Her eyes jumped from Cale to Anna and back to Cale, wondering what she had just missed.

Kayla entered the candy shop with every intention of buying as much fudge as she possibly could. Anything to take her mind off the pictures she had seen of Nico and all those other girls. As she moved further into the shop, Kayla halted in her tracks as she spotted the Gryffindor Prefect and it suddenly hit her that she had been in one of the photos with Nico.

She felt as though someone had punched her in the stomach and all the air had left her body so that she couldn't breathe properly. Kayla half turned prepared to leave the shop immediately but she stopped why should she go. She wasn't in the wrong and technically neither was Anna because she probably didn't know about her and Nico because he had made damn sure no one had known about them. But right now that didn't matter, Kayla was angry and hurt and if the Prefect so much as looked her way...

"Excuse me" she said stiffly as she tried to get her way around the two that were standing in front of her, so that she could get to the fudge.

Anna's jaw dropped and she stared at him in complete horror. Okay, so, yeah...he was angry at her. Really angry at her, and she actually was prepared for this kind of reaction all along. That's been the reason she'd avoided telling him until now anyway. "You rather me be...really?" she asked. That had been something she hadn't expected to hear from him...at all. "Oh, nevermind that. I actually, erm, haven't thought about the money situation or the culture difference. Maybe I can just stay at home and have Dad or Bella homeschool me. I mean, it worked for you...right?" she asked, a little uncertain about her decision now. Was she making the right decision? What is actually a good idea after her to pack up life as she knew it and head far, far away. "I was kind of hoping Emma would help me make the transition."

"And are you honestly telling me that this whole break-up HASN'T damaged us so much that we can just shrug it off and go on about our happy lives?" she asked. "Wake up, CALE!"

Anna sighed and rolled her eyes. Lovely. Just lovely. She gets a single moment to talk to Cale, and of course Evolette McKenna has to walk up right in the middle of the conversation. Then again, things like this seemed to be right up Evolette's alley. Where drama was, Evolette was not too far behind.

"Hiiii, Evolette," Anna greeted through gritted teeth. "What a....pleasure to see you here. You know, you came up in just the right moment. I was just announcing to Cale that I'm leaving Hogwarts...for good. Try not to cry too much, Evolette."

Mari strolled into Honeydukes with Asteira, having heard great things about it. " It's very nice." She said to Asteira who was beside her. " It's more...busy than I expected, but of course everyone loves sweets. I love jelly candies. What about you?" She said, turning to the other girl.

she snickered as she asked what she wanted." Blood pops of course." she teased as she looked around."Im looking to see if they have ash's favorite candy. i feed him candy sometimes as a treat. Their like gummy slugs but just like bugs. He doesnt like slugs. Picky bird." she complained a little. she looked around as she saw anna." Hey do you know anna?"she asked as she didnt want to go over there. It looked a bit messy over there.

Kayla caught sight of another girl that had just entered the shop and she recognised her as being one of the girls with Nico in the pictures she had seen. She gritted her teeth to stop herself from screaming. How many more of them was she going to run into today she thought furiously.

All she wanted to do was get some fudge and leave. She had already been in trouble at school she didn't need anymore but if she stayed any longer, she didn't know how much longer her temper was goingto hold.

"Did I ever say it was gonna be easy?" Cale demanded, uncrossing his arms now and instead flailing about as his spoke. "No! It's NOT gonna be easy, but we can work past it and eventually get to the point where we can stand to be in the same room with each other and not be tempted to drop water balloons on their heads. I know we can! Other couples do it, why should we be any exception?" he asked. Why was she being so childish about this whole situation? Girls really DID have zeroooooooo backbone. Suck it up and move on, gosh darnit!

Things started to get hectic as people started moving around, leaving and entering, and Cale and Anna were blocking people's way. He moved about, trying to find a good spot to sit and yell at her some more but it wasn't really working.

And then, of course, Evolette walked in. Turning to her, he locked his hand in her's immediately and turned to glare at Anna. "You know what? FINE. Go if you want to, since apparently we're sooooo broken apart that we can't be around each other anymore. Run off to America and cry on Emma's shoulder, and just rip my heart out of my chest and stomp on it in the process," he grumbled so that only Anna and Evolette could hear that last bit. It was, in reality, what she was doing if she left.

"Let's go Evolette, I need to get some air," he muttered, turning and exiting the shop in a hurry.

Mari made disgusted face as Asteira said blood pops. " Oh, how utterly disgusting!" She said. She had a morbid fear of blood, and tried to avoid it at all costs.


" Your owl does sound picky, " She said, recovering somewhat from the blood shock. " I like the slugs too," She said, giggling a little as she thought about an owl who didn't like bugs. She looked over as Asteira mentioned Anna and her gaze followed the other girl's. " Yes, sort of. I met her on the train ride over, but I don't think she remembers me. Why?" She asked, staring at the now hostile looking corner of the otherwise warm and happy candyshop.

WHAT? The most interesting conversation that Evolette could have ever witnessed, and she had missed it? No. This was simply not fair. She pouted a little, barely registering what Cale and Anna were saying to eachother when Cale decided it was time for them to leave.

But- she wanted to stay and hear more! Ugh fine. "Oh don't worry." she managed to get out to Anna, "I wouldn't waste my tears on you." She gave a wave and allowed Cale to pull her out of the store to....wherever he was going.

Asteira smiled as she had missed her joke." My last name is Blood...blood pops." he smiled at her as she shook her head just a little."nevermind." she told mari as she wasnt going to worry about it. "oh Ash isn't an owl. He's a black Phoenix. See my mother takes care of magical creatures and we found this baby phoenix. she took it in and I guess when i was a kid i decided i would take care of it. He's been mine ever sense." she gave her a shrug as she added," Just wondering." she followed her gaze to a corner." whats wrong?" she asked.

Mari laughed as she finally got the joke. " I'm sorry, I have a strong fear and detestation for blood. It makes me ill when I have to see it." She said, pushing her hair back a bit.

She tore her gaze from the obvious argument that was happening when Asteira said something about a black Phoenix. " Really? How interesting. Is he harder to take care of than an owl?" She asked as she moved forward abit to browse the large selection of candies.

Her gaze flicked over to Anna and Cale as they got a bit louder, and she pretended to be looking at something. " I think they're fighting, that's what's wrong. That and I want to get some fudge too, and they're in the..." She was going to say way when Cale and his new girlfriend, that pretty Slytherin girl, moved quickly out of the store. " Well, never mind then." She said, arching a brow as she watched them leave.

"Ugh!" Anna shouted, clearly frustrated at the whole conversation at this point. If one or the other didn't leave soon, things were about to get messy. "Okay, so remember how earlier you told me you'd rather me have me here and with another guy than not here at all? Well, I'd rather be gone and far away than have to be reminded every day that you're now with someone else!"

The waterworks were going to start soon. Something needed to change...and fast. Maybe she should just turn around and stomp off. Ehh, nah. They needed to finish this conversation. But what if this conversation was making things worse? Even more so than they already were?

"That's the difference between us and other ex-couples!" she exclaimed. I can't accept it, they can! I can't look it in the eye, they can!"

Anna watched as Cale linked hands with Evolette. Ugh. Did he not care that she was on the verge of tears for this specific reason? Obviously not! "Fine! Whatever! You argue about ME ripping YOUR heart out, but then at the same time, you stroll off hand-in-hand with HER? Nice, Newell. Nice! Fine..BYE!"

Anna was so angry that she whirled around and came to face to face with some annoyed girl that she knew to be in Hufflepuff. Katy? Kaitlyn? Kayla? Yes, Kayla. "Oh, excuse me, Kayla," she said. "I wasn't watching where I was going."

Anna took a good look at Kayla and observed that something seemed to be wrong with her. She seemed genuinely upset about something. Should she ask? Probably not. That would be intruding. But would it seem rude to just say nothing about it? Probably so. Ugh. "Everything alright?" Anna finally asked.

"its alright." she told her as she wasnt a huge candy fan. it didnt seem that they had anything for ash so it would seem that he would have to make do with the food he had now."It's not much different. i still get a small fear when i watch him burst into flames and turn to ash. you think i would get use to it, but always a bit afraid something will happen and he wont be there." she turned her attention the boy who's name was cale apparently.she watched the slytherin girl and him leave as anna stood there. "that was fun while it lasted." she said sarcasticly. " so what candy are you going for?"

She felt ridiculous. She was standing in a candy shop, crying and covered in sticky sliminess. And, oh my goodness, he ran away. Ran and left her like this. She was still crying too. People probably thought that she was mental. She slowly made her way to the counter. “This is for all the candy that was opened”, she managed to choke out to the cashier, before putting 25 galleons on the counter. She knew it most likely not that much, but she wanted to make sure she covered all the costs. That done, she walked as quickly as was possible out of the shop.

Mari looked over at Anna as Asteira told her about her Phoenix, and Mari felt a stab of compassion and sympathy for the girl. She didn't know her, but she could read the expression on her face well enough.

" Oh yes, the bursting into flames bit...I would be the first to admit it being rather alarming." She turned back to Asteira and she laughed a bit. " While it lasted, for certain." She said, looking back as Anna now seemed to be talking to another girl, this one looking quite irked and angry. " Um, I think I want some fudge...but it's probably not the best idea now." she said, noting that the irked girl was right where that was. " I think I'll just settle for the slugs." She said, sliding an glance that told Asteira to watch the happenings with her.

"hey just wait till you see it." she told her as it would only get worse. she gave her a small smile as she pretty much repeated what she had said earlier. she looked over to see that they were standing near the fudge. "What? If you want fudge we will get fudge. The store is big enough for everyone. Stop your whining." she told mari as she grabbed her arm and dragged her over to the corner. Fudge and girls apprently occupied this space."go get your fudge. We are here." she pointed as she smiled at anna." Hey anna. How are you." she said with a smile. If Mari wanted fudge she was going to get it.

Mari let out a little indignant gasp. " I don't whine!" She exclaimed as Asteira dragged her to the fudge. " Well, not a lot at any rate." She muttered. She arched a brow as Asteira greeted Anna and Mari waved a little. Good lord, she was right in the middle now. " Alright, this is good, I'm going to go then." She said, grabbing a random chunk of fudge and sticking it in a bag.

"Oh, hello Astreira," Anna greeted, trying to be as cheerful as possible. Truth be told, she felt like going back to being a miserable, angry, hurt, pitiful excuse for a person, and had it not been for Asteira Blood coming up and acting so cheerful, Anna would have done just that. Asteira had always been nice to her, though, so she'd make some sort of attempt to put on a happy face. "I'm sorry you had to witness that. It's...been kind of rough lately."

"Everyone whines at some point. its human nature." she told mari as she was whining about how she wasnt whining. And she was a ravenclaw. she watched mari grab one as she seemed a bit nervious for some reason. All the mess was gone. she raised an eye brow at her as she seemed to be sprinting else where. "dont fall with all that fudge." she said sarcastically.

"its alright. At least your not stuck in a room full of ego's the size of the moon. Enjoy the sunlight." she said with a small smile.she looked at her as she thought she could use a drink." Hey anna why dont you come with us. i was thinking maybe a butterbeer or something afterward. My treat. Maybe you could tell me about it. it might make you feel better." she offered.

Mari looked over her shoulder and narrowed her eyes. " It's not that much." She said, and then she noticed it was actually a sizable hunk of fudge. " Well, I won't have to come back for a time." She said, arching a brow as she looked at the brown chunk in her bag. " I hope you want some fudge, Asteira." She muttered as she came back up to her friend.

Mari stepped beside Asteira just as she invited Anna to go with them for a drink. " I agree with Asteira. She's full of good suggestions...and nudges forward today." She said, giving a small smile to the other girl. She did feel quite sorry for her and also, she hadn't really ever spoken to Anna. This was her chance to get to know her, and possibly know more about what really happened with her and Cale.

"Yes I can see that" Kayla replied frostily. She had waited patiently enough for Anna and her ex to finish having their argument and move out of the way so that she could get to the fudge. But when Anna turned around and faced her, Kayla was about ready to snap.

"No it is not" she responded through gritted teeth. "But if it's okay with you I would just like to get my fudge and then leave" Kayla stepped around Anna and made her way over to the shelf that held her beloved fudge. Glancing over her shoulder at Anna, Kayla scowled. "Maybe you should ask Nico" she muttered.

Celandine skipped into the candy store with a big grin on her face. She spotted Anna and Kayla standing near a bunch of fudge and skipped over haphazardly.

"Hi Anna!" Celandine greeted the Gryffindor prefect brightly before turning to Kayla and holding herself back from squealing in excitement to see Kayla again.

"Kayla!" Cela wrapped her arms around the other girl in a fierce hug and stepped back grinning. She looked around cautiously, "I wasn't in here to buy candy. I promise."

She closed her eyes tightly when she heard Cela's voice and her body stiffened slightly when the younger girl embraced her. Kayla felt like bursting into to tears, she had come in here simply to buy some fudge and instead she had come face to face with two of the girls that were in the photographs with Nico and then his sister comes in and as much as she loved and adored Celandine, any reminder of Nicholai was not what Kayla needed right now.

"Cela" Kayla croaked softly and she quickly cleared her throat. "That's good to hear" she turned to the fudge and started to put some into bags. "Then what were you doing then?"
