Lainey lead her parade of camouflage students out onto the grounds and to a line of shrubbery out by the fence. "Take a seat everyone, get comfy. Pull up a bush and sit on it, or something." She took the throne seat on an old dead tree stump.

"Does anyone have any idea why I have you all dressed in camouflage?"

Chocolate frogs: Muggle chocolate candies named Turtles --- our band's favorite snack.

Quidditch balls: Disco balls suspended from the ceiling
Pensieve: Strobe lights
Floo Powder: Stage make-up

Rapunzel knew this was going to sound preposterous and ludicrous, especially if no one had heard of Star Wars, but she presented their idea anyway. "Professor Lainey, we decided to disguise ourselves as, uh, extreme fanatics of the Muggle movies Star Wars. And thus we are dressed as fans going to a convention." She gestured towards hers and Dom's robes, wishing now that they'd had time to transfigure Christine's too. "We also came up with ways to disguise all the objects as various items from the Star Wars universe. It's a stretch of the imagination, but I think you could visualize it if you know Muggle Pop Culture." Or er, nerd culture, Punz thought as she showed the class her group's list.

"Yes, I like your ideas. With the Quidditch supplies, you're right, it's probably easiest to just take the charms off. Muggles play ball games as well, don't they? So the Quaffle and such wouldn't be suspicious. Uhm, but what about the Snitch? Are there Muggle-games where you use balls as small as the Snitch?" There was one...something with "G" or so...hmm..."Uhm...is it golf, maybe? Yes, I think it is. Okay, so we've got everything, right? The tea-party-idea is great, by the way." Nancy smiled at Mariel impressed by her creativity.

Her eyes widened in surprise at Mariel's next words. Why wasn't this girl in Slytherin? "Oh, yes, how right you are? Why are we the ones who have to hide?!" She whispered back always glancing around to see if the professor wasn't nearby.

Uh-oh! No, Nancy didn't want to read out their list. They would probably be the worst group anyway considering their non-existent knowledge about Muggles. Oh, this was probably going to be embarrassing and a lot. Turning towards Mariel with a rather confused look on her face she replied, "I have absolutely no idea. Or I heard them talking about something like a sell-phone as well, what's that?!" Oh, they both so sucked at this.

Yeah, right! Nancy suppressed the urge to roll her eyes at the History of Magic's professor. Working for the Muggle Division of the Ministry. She would rather clean toilets in some shabby bar than work in that division. Well, she would be fired after the first ten minutes anyway since she so sucked at anything related to Muggles.
Throwing one last look at Mariel Nancy raised from where she had been sitting to present their ideas. She had made up her mind in the last ten seconds and had decided that she would take the chance to earn points, whether there ideas were frowned or laughed upon or not. The young Slytherin coughed to clear her throat and then said, "Uhm...we haven't presented our ideas yet." Hopefully Mariel wouldn't be angry with her but it was too late now anyway. "So...uhm, this is our list. I, we, hope that it's uhm...acceptable, at least."

"Yes, uhm, that's it..." Nancy blushed a little at their, in her eyes, silly ideas and sat down quickly again. Out of the corner of her eyes she glanced at Mariel to see whether the girl was annoyed by her presentation or not.

Golf? Ok, Mariel would take Nancy's word for it. It sounded like a nonsense word, but apparently that's what you had to do in this class. Make up silly words for things to pass off as Muggle objects. Credit card? And now sell fone? Mariel shrugged and gave Nancy an exasperated look. "I don't know what that means either. Do you think they're making up these words? Maybe we should have done that." Yeah, right. Mariel started chuckling at the absurdity of that thought.

She snorted at Nancy's words about having to hide. "My father says it's just another form of persecution," she said quietly, so only Nancy would hear. What would he say now if he knew she was in a class trying to disguise their things to fit in with Muggles?

Her jaw dropped when she heard the professor's next words. Turning to Nancy, she grimaced and mouthed the words, 'Muggle division?!' Her father would surely disown her.

Wait. What was Nancy doing? Was she actually presenting their ideas in front of the class? Well, ok, as long as Mariel didn't have to do it. She nodded in agreement as Nancy read off their list, then shrugged when she seemed to look over at her for her approval. Sounded good to her. Nice and logical. Although they didn't make up any nonsense words like everyone else, so they probably wouldn't get points.

Laylee smiled at the Star Wars based list of items. She loved those movies! They remined her of the Wizarding World in a way. She wondered the witches and wizards in this class would have any idea what those things were. It wouldnt suprise her if no one besides herself and the group that made that list knew who Darth Vadar was!

Rachel chuckled at the Star Wars based list. Quite ingenious, actually! Though I doubt that many people in this room know who Darth Vader is, or what a light saber is for... She noticed another girl congratulating the group. Grinning, she did the same ("Nice one, guys!") and then winked and smiled to the girl. Hang on, isn't that Maura's friend? What was her name again?

Laylee looked over at another girl in the class who seemed to know what Star Wars was. She smiled at her. The girl was a ravenclaw. Laylee had seen her around, but she didnt know her. But she looked familiar.

Torie quickly wrote down all of the ideas that she and Hannah had come up with. She was pretty impressed as she thought that it was a great list.

She wrote that down on her parchment and then looked over at Mel and said, "What else should we add to the list? I want to do something FUN. Like a "Disguised Magical Item Fashion Show" or something."

Nico raised his hand "We figured, that it was better to disguise items as close to what they look to be to muggles as possible- with a few defects so that they appear unusable. Also we figured that a whole bunch of different disguises was better so as not to 'put all your eggs in one basket' so to speak. Since if one item is discovered it doesn't mean the others are likely to be."

Nicholai passed the final list to Evolette to see if there was anything else she felt like adding.

Evolette took the list from Nicholai, her cool eyes scanning over it once more before they turned it in for good. She really didn't think that there was anything more to add, in fact, she thought that they did quite well.

Tilting her head and brushing her bangs out of her eyes, she handed the list back to Nicholai, "I think we did quite well, don't you?" she asked, smirking as she tossed a last glance at it over his shoulder.

ooc: First and foremost, I am so, so sorry for the delay in this class. First, it took me weeks to start one, and then I abandoned you all. I am truly sorry, guys. School owns me (among other SS stuff

"Oh dear Merlin," Lainey had to.... had to laugh at some of the lists. What in the name of Merlin's heiney was light saber? "I'm going to need a few minutes to decide the winning list. They're all really, really, no lies because I love you, really GOOD. Great, even. Give me a minute to think it over. Meanwhile..."

Lainey hopped up onto the stump she'd been using as a desk and waved her wand around. Behind her class, a loud, pinging clatter rang out as a large stack of shovels appeared. "We're going to dig holes! Everyone grab a shovel and start digging here! And don't you dare tell that Groundskeeper! Dig, dig, dig while I look over these lists!"

She gave no explanation as to why they were digging.. yet.

With a curious glance at her teacher, Torie picked up a shovel and began digging a hole. She was extremely puzzled and was a little concerned about the behaviour of their Professor. Had she gone mad?

Slowly the hole Torie was digging got bigger and deeper. Her arms started to ache, and she was building up quite a sweat. She looked over at her classmates. Maybe one of them knew why they were doing this.

Rapunzel giggled a little at the Professor. Yep, she looked confused about their list choice. Ah well, it had been a funny idea. But what were they doing now? Digging?

She wrinkled her nose a little but pushed up her sleeves and picked up a shovel. Digging wasn't too dirty, was it? As long as sweet Mr. Masterson didn't find out.....

Staring at the History of Magic-professor in utter disbelief Nancy felt her prior speculations about the woman's sanity being proven. She really was crazy. She had to be. Why else would they be digging holes?! Giving Mariel next to her a look that definitely showed what she was currently thinking, especially the part about the professor's sanity, Nancy frowned while slowly getting up from where she had been sitting to go and get one of the shovels. This couldn't be true, right? What was the purpose of digging holes? None, obviously.

This was becoming quite an interesting class. Far by her most favorite one so far. Valentine walked over to the shovels and grabbed one herself. She felt rather bad for digging hole's in the groundkeeper's grounds, but the professor told her to do so. So Valentine grabbed a shovel and started to dig.

Becca sat around, listening to all the groups converse and come up with ideas. She, of course, was a total and complete slacker. Currently, she was laying in the grass, attempting to take a brief nap - but then Lainey's voice rang over the students. Becca shot up to a sitting position, her eyes trying to adjust to the light.

"Digging?" Hmm. She found this to be a bit odd, especially since Lainey did not specify the reason why they were to be digging. But, regardless, Becca hopped to her feet and picked up a shovel. She began to dig a few feet away from where the rest of the students had started digging, just because she did not want them to be getting in her way. At one point, when she dug up some dirt, she 'accidently' tossed some onto the stump - and right onto Lainey's shoes. "Oh, my bad," she smiled sweetly, then, snickering, went back to work.

Jose picked up a shovel and did what the professor wanted him to, though why the proffesor wanted them to Jose didn't know. He looked at all the others whilest he dug.

Torie stopped digging and looked at the Professor in confusion. A smear of dirt annointed her forehead where she had wiped away some sweat with her dirt-covered wrist. Her red hair was disheveled and coming loose from her long braid resulting in wispy hairs framing her face where they weren't plastered down by sweat. "Are we SUPPOSED to find something, Professor?" Torie asked, unable to completely hide the frustration in her voice. "And not to be rude," she continued, "but what does this have to do with our lesson?"

Hannah glanced over at Torie. She agreed wholeheartedly, but she wasn't brave enough to say anything out loud. Instead, she occupied herself by humming a Muggle song to herself (it was a song called "Piazza, New York Catcher" by Belle and Sebastian. Recently, she hadn't been able to get enough of it.). She just dug her shovel into the earth again and sighed heavily.

Becca had just dug her shovel into the ground and scooped up another large mound of dirt when she felt something hit her upper back. She glanced over her shoulder, saw the dirt, and smirked in the direction of Lainey. "Yeah, right," she replied, rolling her eyes as she shook the dirt off. She was glad she had a laid back professor that she could joke around with and not get detention.

"Why don't you just let it be a surprise?" Becca shot to the Gryffindor that was asking questions. Obviously she was interested in hearing Lainey's answers as well, but she felt the need to be defensive of the woman - even though it was not completely necessary. Or even slightly necessary.

Anna stopped to take a deep sigh and then continued digging. This was hard work! She shook her hands, trying to regain some feeling in them after they'd gone numb from the constant digging, and then started the process over again. "No, Professor," she answered. "I haven't found anything...yet. Anything in particular we're looking for?" she asked, digging even harder and deeper.
