Lainey lead her parade of camouflage students out onto the grounds and to a line of shrubbery out by the fence. "Take a seat everyone, get comfy. Pull up a bush and sit on it, or something." She took the throne seat on an old dead tree stump.

"Does anyone have any idea why I have you all dressed in camouflage?"

Cale turned back to Anna as the Professor mentioned more items for them to disguise. "Ok, how about this?" he asked, going back to the spot they had been at before when they were brainstorming. "Chocolate frogs can be transformed to look like those little turtle candies that muggles like, you know, the ones with peanuts and all sorts of other goo in them? We can keep them in a box and say that's our bands favorite type of snack or something. Then, for the Quidditch supplies, or at least the gloves and pads, as well as the hat and robes can all be part of our costumes. We can say we like to dress up like that one Muggle band...I don't remember what they're called...Kissers or something like that, the ones with the scary makeup, you know?" he rambled.

Laylee looked around, searching for a partner. She always got the short end of the stick when it came to getting paired up in classes. She knew very little people at school still, even though she was a 5th year, and none of her friends were in her classes. Laylee sighed and began writing notes of her won. She wrote down everything they would be digiusing, and then drew a picture of each of them. She started thinking about what a person would hold in their hand, like a wand, but in the muggle world. Her first thought was just a stick, but people dont just go walking around carying sticks in the muggle world! She thought, and then decided she would choose a pencil! No one would think anything odd about someone carrying a pencil.
So Laylee moved on. A witches hat. Well, that was easy, just transform in into a regular baseball cap with a muggle team logo, or just a normal hat. Either would work.
Laylee looked around at the other groups of people. She hoped she was on the right track with this assingment...

Another frown flashed across her face as she heard the professor talk about disguising your wand or something like that. Who would need something like that anyhow? And all this ridiculous costumes? They were wizards and witches for crying out loud!

Oh, great, now they needed to pair up. Glancing around among her fellow classmates Nancy noticed that almost everyone had already found a partner or a group to discuss the question. Great! Yes, that was just a perfect lesson for her, she thought sarcastically. Then she finally spotted Mariel sitting all on her own. Oh, that girl was a life-saver sometimes. Slowly strolling over to the young Ravenclaw Nancy tried hard to get the frown out of her face, totally failing though. "Hi, Mariel." Nancy said with some fake enthusiasm. Oh, how she hated that class. "Wanna work with me?"

Mariel was deep in thought, writing down the beginnings of what she thought to be an ill-conceived idea, when she heard a familiar voice. Nancy? At least she thought it was Nancy. It was a little hard to tell with the green and brown paint. Squinting at the human shrubbery standing in front of her, she asked, "Nancy, is that you? Sure, we can work together. Sit." Mariel patted the ground next to her.

Well, that was one obstacle out of the way. Mariel now had a partner for this bizarre assignment - and one she actually liked, assuming it really was Nancy. Now onto the actual assignment. Mariel was pretty sure Nancy had about as much knowledge of Muggles as she did - which was basically non-existent. "Sooo.... got an ideas yet? The only thing I've thought of is to turn our wands into a barrette or maybe a headband - like an Alice band. That way they'd always be close and you could just pull it off your head when needed." Thinking for a moment, she added, "Of course, that probably wouldn't work for a boy, but seeing as I'm not one, I don't care much."

Sighing, she muttered under her breath through clenched teeth, "I don't see why we should have to disguise anything, anyway."

She turned to Cale as he starting coming up with more brilliant ideas for their rock band. "Oh, good idea! Chocolate frogs are candy anyway, so they shouldn't be too hard to disguise. Besides, muggles love candy, too...especially chocolate!" she said, agreeing with Cale. "You know, I like the whole costume idea. All rock bands wear pretty awesome clothes. With a name like 'The Mimbletonias,' they'll accept us in a wild, wacky outfit." Anna nodded when Cale talked about that one muggle band, the one she'd only seen pictures of. They looked a little like clowns who'd stuck their fingers in a light socket or something. "So, the only thing we have to do now is figure out a disguise for the balls used during Quidditch. I say we use them as stage props. We can suspend them from the ceiling and have them hang down like those balls muggles used centuries ago during the disco age or whatever they called it," Anna said, laughing at all the ideas they were coming up with.

Okay, this now totally proved it. This whole thing was just so ridiculous. Running around disguised as trees and not even being able to be sure to whom you were actually talking to. Nancy's frown became even more intense than it had already been. Ridiculous! There simply was no other word for it!
Well, at least it really was Mariel she was talking to and not someone else who would have know thought she was a complete moron.

With a sigh of relief Nancy muttered, "Yes, it is me. Who else would it be? You still don't know how I look like?! I'm shocked. It's not like I'm running around in camouflage, looking like a complete idiot, so you can't see me properly." Nancy rolled her eyes towards Mariel so she would see the sarcastic expression on her face. Sitting down carefully again, you could never be sure what kind of insects were crawling around, Nancy looked at Mariel expectantly.

Oh, this was going to be interesting. But they were both quite creative even though they had absolutely no idea about Muggles. Or, at least that was Nancy's case and she sort of had the impression that Mariel wasn't that experienced with Muggles either. Nodding Nancy approved of Mariel's idea, "Yes, I like that. The boys could maybe change their wand into a tie or something." She threw Mariel a rather puzzled look. "So, what else is there to disguise?" She looked around out into the forest while contemplating. "Hats? Well, that's easy, simply turn it into a normal cap or so...uhm, what else do you carry around?" Hearing the professor sort of providing the answer to her question she turned back towards Mariel. "Okay, we still need to disguise robes, cauldron, brooms, quidditch supplies, chocolate frog, floo powder, and a pensieve." The cauldron was probably going to be the most difficult one.

Oh, this whole thing was just sooo senseless. Catching Mariel's last sentence she grinned at her. "Oh, thank Merlin, at least someone's agreeing with me. I thought I was the only one to think this is sort of ridiculous."

"You mean disco balls?" Cale asked with a chuckle. If HE were a muggle, the rock band that they were creating right now would seem WAY weird to him. "Hmm, let's see, we need something for the pensieve too...maybe we can just say it's a special sort of stage light that gives off a weird looking glow to make our show more...surreal?" he said uncertainly.

Sounded good to him - the newbish one to this star stuff.

That was when he turned on the spot to see Christine sitting alone and working by herself. Tempted to go ask her to work with them, Dominic decided he better ask Rapunzel first.

Turning back around to place his gaze on the fifth year, he shrugged slightly. "Uh Punz? Do you wanna ask Christine to join us?" Even through everything; he did remember most of all that she WAS a hufflepuff.

Dominic was really starting to surprise Rapunzel, he really was. For one thing, they were getting along, and for another, he had actually paid attention to her mini-lesson on the ways of the Force! Shocking! AND he invited another Huffie girl to join them!

"Christine, sure! Come work with us!" Rapunzel signaled the younger Puff over and then turned back to Dom.

"Genius!" she agreed, nodding about the double-bladed lightsabers. "That would work perfectly...and let's see, what else? Didn't Professor Lainey mention chocolate frogs and floo powder? And a pensieve?"

Ooh, that might be harder than she'd thought. Ergh. "Um, floo powder we could store with our other potions supplies on the Jedi utility belt thing....hum, and when we use it, it can just look like a hologram in the, er, fire!" Punz beamed and scribbled that down. "Chocolate Frogs now, that could be a problem...but witch/wizard hats can just hide under our hoods - unless you have a better idea?"

He was excited about what they had done and hoped they would get the 15 points she was giving to the winner. Laylee looked up from her place on the grass when she felt someone standing over her. A young boy was standing there, asking to be her partner. Laylee smiled. "Oh, thanks!" She said. She motioned for him to sit next to her on the grass. "Ive already got a few ideas. Do you like these ones?" Laylee showed the boy her notebook.
"Oh, Im Laylee, sorry about that!" Laylee said, feeling abd that she hadnt introduced herself.
Laylee got right to work. Other students were already finished. "Lets see a robe..." She said, her quill ready to write any ideas.

Laylee smiled. "Thanks! And thats a great idea! Laylee wrote down blanket under robe and aslo drew a picture like she had the others. "Now a cauldron... We could turn that into a purse or a backpack!" Laylee said. "And with a broom... Umm... what do you think the broom could be?" Laylee wasnt sure, maybe a belt or just a regular broom.

"Well, what if your not old enough to carry a walking stick?" Laylee asked. She herself would think it was odd if she saw a 15 year old walking around with a walking stick... "The belt one could work because then you could have it on you when your ready to use it!" Laylee said, thinking he had just read her mind. Laylee looked down her list. "Quidditch supplies... Lets see, the clothing could be turned in to normal clothing of course and... the Bludger, Quaffle, and Snitch could be turned into a basketball, soccer ball, and a golf ball." Laylee said smiling. "But we would have to keep the Snitch inside a container." Laylee said. "Umm, a chocolate frog?" She said ponering. "Any ideas?"

Chris saw a lok on her face when he mentioned the belt idea. Hopefully she didnt suspect him of reading her mind because he had a vison of her thinking that. Anyway "What about a Lunch box of somesort that we could use to keep the snitch in!"

Laylee raised her eyebrow thinking about it. "Well, if a muggle looked inside the lunchbox and saw a golf ball, they would think thats was pretty weird." Laylee said truthfully. "We could just keep it in a small container, I dont think anyone would want to inspect a golf ball anyway!" laylee said laughing. "Okay, but the chocolate frog? We could turn it into a toy frog! You know, one of those ones that does a flip!" Laylee said. Then she realized he may have no idea what she's talking about! He may not have grown up a muggle! "Well, anyway, its a toy." She corrected herself.
Laylee wrote everything down, drawing quick pictures of all the ideas.
"Lets see... Floo powder. Umm, what do you think that one should be?" She asked Chris, pointing her quill at him.
"And the pensive can be a mirror!" She said smiling.

The boy was right. They did make a good pair. With all of their ideas put together, they were a shoe in! But it could never hurt to make sure...

"Well, let's think up of more wizarding devices we can disguise." she suggested. "How about this..." then she told him of some other devices they could camouflage. Different scenarios were good for different devices.

Christine looked up when she heard someone call her name. It was Punz, calling her to come and work with her and Dominic. Christine grabbed her stuff and walked over to where the two of them were brainstorming.

She heard Dominic say something about double sided light sabers. Are you guys disguising your stuff as objects from Star Wars? Christine knew some stuff about it, so she racked her brain for some ideas.

Couldn't we disguise the witch/wizard hats as helmets, like the one Darth Vader wears. And the chocolate frogs can be like the clasp that hold our cloaks around our neck.
