We are also mean't to see what we can tell tell from the look of it ammm...lets's see the leaves are long and slender, there are no branches, just stems, and the resulting flower will be three-petaled... I don't have a clue, do you Lisa?"

Dominic ignored the two or three girls who seemed to have their eyes focused on him instead of their plants; one he knew to be Christine. They were of little concern and besides, he was just answering the question. Nothing out of the ordinary, right? Of course not.

Finally the Professor made his rounds, addressing each of the students' responses in turn. When he arrived at Dom's response, the fourth year was surprised that he had gotten a 'fairly close', but proud all the same. He simply nodded when the Professor said it was how he applied it; to that he was quite well at since book knowledge rarely served him well.

He fought the urge to snicker when the girl was told to meet the professor in his office after class. Serves her right, he sighed quietly, wondering if the professor did not care about the incessant chatter from some of the girls.

Five points for a completed planter? Woah!

Shaking his head at the last question, Dominic waited to continue as he had no further questions. Herbology surprisingly wasn't too bad.

Cale grinned with pride. He had answered a question right! He felt like breaking into a little dance, but then they might ship him off to St. Mungos. He looked down at his potted plants and grinned again. He had been moving a lot faster than he thought, and had actually managed to finish before class had ended. He had thought he wouldn't have been able to do it!

He glanced over at the Slytherin girl and smirked a bit to himself. Well, she had it coming. After this class, those Slytherin's--especially Evolette--were gonna be on her case for a while. Hehe.

Rachel smiled as she looked down at her finished planter. She would be getting 5 points for it, which her house needed badly.
Sighing, she jotted down a few more notes and waited for the professor to speak again. She wasn't any good at the theory, but following instructions was second nature to her.

Freya grinned widely, 'Yes!' She thought to herself, 'I knew that would be right...having stems and all.' She looked down at her planter, it had been done just as the professor had come around. 'Even better.' She thought again as she brushed off the rest of the dirt from her hands and bandages and clearing her workspace of any other mess that she had managed to make, which was close to nothing. She waited patiently for the professor to continue.

Nancy drew her attention back to Professor Carracio as he awarded five points to everyone who had a completed planter. She wasn't sure if she should be happy about that, though, since she didn't know if their planter was already completed or not. Turning towards Camira she murmured, "Ehm...Camira? Is our planter already completed? It is, right?"
About the professor's last question Nancy had to suppress a snicker. The only question that came to her mind was when the lesson would finally be over.

Camira couldn't help but laugh. She had just finished patting down the soil. "Yes, it's already completed. I'm just patting down the soil. I'm not sure if it should be this tight though", she said with a frown.

Oooh, good, she had a question. She raised her hand. "Professor, should the soil be loose or packed in tightly at the top?" She hoped she hadn't overdone it.

Nicholai nodded; it made sense and he made a mental note to find out more about monocot and dicot plants aside from what he already knew from reading the textbook.

He continued working on his and Anna's planter, double checking everything while trying his best not to get too dirty. Once he was satisfied that it was how the Professor had specified, he stepped back and immediately got to cleaning his hands as best as possible.

If it wasn't for his interest in potions; Nicholai would have no trouble at all dropping this class. But then he did appreciate the research aspect of Herbology. His eyes travelled to Professor Erikson Carracio and he waited for further instruction.

Didn't attempt to kill anyone, didn't get lit on fire, and no one was cutting off the circulation to any body part while hiding underneath the table. Only one smart-mouth transfer student. Not bad. Why do you have such a checklist? Trust me, it's necessary. Though admittedly, it makes the class a little more dull. I certainly hope you're not complaining. Not at all.

Astrid smile at the Professor, clearly happy to have answered correctly. She hoped that would have some time to stop by the greenhouses again this week. She was finding this all very interesting and she would love to be able to check on her plant's progress.
She looked over at Maddox. He was just putting the finishing touches on their planter and she smiled up at him. "Looks like we're just about finished. It's beautiful, Maddox. Don't you agree?" she asked, as she added a little more soil to the planter.
Astrid grabbed the watering can when it seemed like all of the necessary soil had been added and watered their plant like instructed. When she was sure that they had done everything correctly, she pulled out her parchment and jotted down the homework assignment. Then she gathered up her things and headed for the door.

"Thank you professor, that was a wonderful lesson. Will we be able to check on our plants from time to time. I would truly love that." she said.

Helena glanced up again and nodded. Something seemed very off about this teacher. Maybe the same something she had sensed in the Great Hall but had thought it something else? Shaking her head slightly she began transplanting her sixth plant. When he announced the homework she still took her time finishing her plan before brushing off her hands and copying the homework into her notebook.

"Quite easily. These plants will be in Greenhouse Two for the first few weeks. We will revisit them in a later class as well, just before the Mythos blooms. If you wish to have the same planter as this time around, or want to make sure you can check on your transplants, I do have stake labels up at the front. Take a small packet of them and label both your planter and each of your transplants. This is not mandatory, however."

Astrid grabbed a few of the labels and sat down to add her information. Now each read: She placed one label in each of their planters and smiled. She was quite satisfied that this wasn't the last time she would get to work with them. Then she waved goodbye, "Thanks again Professor."and walked out the door.

Maddox helped Astrid finish up the last bit of work on the plants. He packed up his stuff and waved goodbye to the professor. "Astrid!" He stopped next to her with the door held open. "Thanks for being my partner i had a good time." He smiled hoping he wasnt to bad of a partner.

Rachel quickly labeled her planter and left the greenhouse, contemplating on how to go about doing the homework.

Astrid smiled at Maddox as she walked through the opened door. "You're welcome Maddox. And Thank YOU! I wouldn't have had a partner at all if it wasn't for you." She sighed and offered, "Be my partner next time!?" She looked up at him with bright eyes and smiled. How could he resist?

Maddox chuckled and said, "The pleasure was all mine. Besides who would you rather be stuck with? Someone thats better than you at herbology or someone that stinks at herbology." He smiled to her next question and said, "Sure i would love to." He winked and waited for her to walk out the door.

Dominic listened as one girl asked about the soil, to which the professor responded. Eying his planter, he saw that he was pretty much done except to add the soil. So the fourth year set to packing the soil into his planter, careful to make sure any spaces were covered. Packing it in lightly, he smiled slightly once he was done.

The hufflepuff then looked up at the announcement of homework, not his best friend, and copied it done nonetheless.

A Gryffindor girl, whom he recognized as the sidekick to the one who knocked into him in the great hall, asked about checking in on their plants. Something for which he too was anxious about, so he listened quite attentively. Greenhouse two, he made a mental note to visit there. Nodding, he walked up to the front and retrieved the stake labels, writing his name clearly before placing it on the planter and transplant.

Sarah quickly made a note of the homework on her parchment.
Great,I hope I made enough notes in class to answer all these questions, she thought.

Picking up her planter she took it to the front of class.She grabbed a label and wrote her name on it,ready to place inside.

Nancy grinned back at Camira. "Yes, I thought so." Listening to the professor's instructions Nancy wrote down the Herbology homework. Oh my, she was so going to need help with that.
But, yes! Finally the class was over. Nancy couldn't get out of the classroom fast enough. Before she could leave though, she took the stake labels the professor had indicated and labeled the planter her and Camira had been working on and their transplants.

Almost running out of the room she quickly muttered a, "Goodbye, Professor" towards Professor Carracio and was outside in just a few seconds.

Freya grinned again, homework was fine with her, it would surely keep her mind from wandering for a while, stop her from worrying. 'That was interesting. Not difficult, but kept me occupied at least.' She thought to herself as she gathered her things and labeled her planter. Random thoughts flooded her mind, she had so much work to do it was likely to drown her soon, 'But at least I won't be bored.' She told herself, 'That would be much worse.' Smiling slightly to Claira and a couple other students she knew, Freya left the greenhouse and said "Nice lesson professor." to professor Carracio as she exited.

Not wanting to stay in the crowded room a moment sooner than she had to, Helena grabbed her notebook, shoved it into her bag and quickly turned to exit the room. She almost ran into Remus, the boy beside her and blushed quickly. She exited the room as fast as possible and grudgingly headed for Professor Carracio's office.

Allie finished up, and put her and her partners name on it.

She said "Bye!" to the professor, and left.
