Cale, ignoring everything else around him, found himself face to face with the Devil's Snare once more. He knew that Anna and Astrid had to have gotten to some point beyond this plant--obviously, since there was no other way around here than through the vines of this stupid Devils Snare. He hurried forward, almost in a single stride, and grabbed the vines of the Snare, ready to tackle this thing once and for all.

Torie heaved a huge sigh and reluctantly followed Cale and Anna back up the stairs. By the time she made it through the doorway once more, Cale and Anna were gone. She jumped on one of the crests and found herself once more in the room with the Devil's Snare, and Cale, who had just grabbed onto the plant again. She grabbed a vine beside him, and held on for another go around this crazy maze. "Ready to end this, Cale?" she asked grinning.

Jillian, still confused, realized there were other people around her as well. "Mermaid's fins!" she exclaimed. What is up with this room?!" She watched as Anna had bravely battled the Devil's Snare, then Astrid coming to help. She just stood there like some stupid spectator trying to make sense of an odd movie.
After Anna and Astrid seemed to have made the Devil's Snare retreat, Jillian walked up to the two, pouting. "Will someone please explain to me what exactly is going on?" Poor girl, still clueless even after one of the best adventures that could have ever happened to her.

Anna was starting to get antsy. The End of the Year feast would be starting soon, and the treasure needed to be found---now. "Hurry up!" Anna yelled to the crests, as if they could somehow hear her and would respond to the urge in her voice. "Please!!!" She stomped her foot, feeling the need to squirm to get rid of a little of her nerves. When were these crests going to make a move?

Cale got swept away by the devil's snare just as easily as the girls, being pulled around the twists and turns of the walled darkness.
A few of the crests glow and pulse, waiting for more hands.
