Melinda glanced around the table as she suddenly recieved a piece of ham on her face. She tried to guess who had thrown that to her, obviously, it had been someone really CLUMSY. She heard a sorry, from Cale and then laughed at his reaction. "Oh...do not worry, Newell, I guess we are even now..." She told him and smiled.

"A Truce?" She asked, still laughing and offering her hand for a shake.

Melinda smiled at Allie as she spoke, but it turned to a frown when she mentioned the term ending. It was her last term in Hogwarts, no chance of coming back. "I am glad you are alright, and we all feel that...it's very sad to end a term and knowing you won't see your friends over the summer..." She told her and tried to smile.

"Hullo...Barry..." Melinda greeted her cousin and smiled.

"I guess so, I have never talked to him either...not even when I was going to try out, something I gave up because of some health problems during that time..." She gold Jillian and smiled.

"Ahh, that's right, I forgot about the cake incident," Cale said with a chuckle. "I guess we're even," he said, shaking her hand.

"So, how was your term?" he asked, taking a bite of potatoes.

Usagi walked towards the Gryffindor table, finding some other people there. Anna, Astrid, Allie, Cale, a Ravenclaw and two other unfamilliar Gryffies. She took a seat far away from them - peace and quiet is exactly what she wants. In her second school year, she really did make a shell and hid inside it. Rarely talks with her friends, which results in worse schoolwork. She can't stand being alone, though somehow she cower from other people. Her mind never works the right way. Pulling out her copy of Eclipse, sighing and grabbing some drumsticks, she started sticking her nose in the book. This will be my last day of cowering from them, she promised herself.

Walking slowly around the Great Hall from the Hufflepuff Table, Dominic wasn't really sure of his intentions on his destination. What he did know was that he wanted some alone time... Away from the drama and hyperness of most of the students in his house.

The fourth year stopped short in his walking towards the table of scarlet and gold, as he heard the Headmistress speak up, congratulating Ravenclaws on the Quidditch Cup that should have been theirs. Directing his gaze towards the revered woman, he listened intently to her speak and was sure that he could have seen her breaking up. She was leaving them? He hardly knew her, but already a new Headmistress?

And Lainey too? Well that wouldn't have been any great loss. The woman was sort of on the eccentric side with her teaching methods. Gulping nervously as he watched her wipe her eyes, he sighed, almost feeling sorry for a moment. Not even realizing where he was, but completely absolved in time and space.

From her spot at the Gryffindor house table, Anna Greingoth narrowed her eyes and watched Dominic Denton as he wandered aimlessly throughout the Great Hall. What on Earth was he doing? Meditating? Exercising? Sight-seeing? Who knew. Crazy Hufflepuff boy. Anna didn't know many Hufflepuffs, although she'd briefly dated one at the beginning of term. This Dominic Denton was something else altogether, though.

Smirking, Anna stood up and headed over in Dominic's direction. She really had no idea why she was getting up and heading over in the boy's direction, though. They barely knew one another. Anna continued to smirk as she noticed that Dominic's attention was focused only on the headmistress' speech and not on his immediate aurroundings. "If I were you," Anna said, purposely lightly bumping into him, "I'd watch where I was going. You're Dominic Denton, right? Right. I'm Anna Greingoth, although you may remember that from the time we met during that treasure hunt."

Still focused up on the staff table, Dominic was quite confused by what Rae had said in her rather lengthy spiel. At the same time, he was enlightened by the prospect of Hogwarts gaining a Headmaster instead of Headmistress, but one shouldn't get their hopes up.

Turning around bewildered, as he heard someone addressing him, he saw it was the Gryffindor Prefect. Smarting off to him, in a way that was similar to the male Prefect. "If I were you," Dominic replied, brushing off where she bumped him. "I would watch what you say to people who are clearly stunned by what the Headmistress just said. You aren't deaf, right Anna Greingoth? But yes, I am Dominic Denton."

Anna's jaw dropped as she listened to Dominic's reply to her little greeting to him. "If I were you," Anna shot back, "I'd...I'd...oh, forget it!" Anna frowned at Dominic and then looked off towards the staff table for a brief moment. How dare this boy speak to her in this manner? Like she thought earlier---crazy Hufflepuff boy. "So," she said, turning around to face him again. I believe you questioned my eyesight, hmm? In case you didn't notice, the headmistress was speaking---and that only requires my ears, not my eyes. I had my ears on her, and my eyes," she said, poking him in the chest, "on you, Dominic Denton. What are you doing walking around this place anyway?"

Smirking ever-so-slightly at Anna starting to reply back with the same 'if I were you', he had to let out a small chuckle. They were being utterly ridiculous and they hardly knew each other. Silly Gryffindor girl. Eyesight!? Huh? I called you deaf ... But that was hardly the least of his worries, since for what she had said next about having her eyes on him!? Oh dear. What would her pretty boy, Cale Newell say about that. Sighing smugly, he shook his head. "Evidently you must really be deaf, since I said nothing about your vision, Anna." He backed up and narrowed his eyes when she poked him in the chest. Who did she think she was? "I didn't realize that the Great Hall wasn't a free area to walk wherever you'd like. My apologies Great Hall police. But what were you doing with your eyes on me, which I am quite flattered by the way?"

Anna glared at Dominic as she took notice of the little smirk planted right on his face. Ugh. What was he smirking for? Crazy Hufflepuff Boy. Anna suddenly smirked back, figuring the boy actually thought he knew something---which was quite a funny thought. This boy...annoyed her. The interesting thing about that was that he only annoyed her, because he challenged her. There was something about Dominic Denton that made Anna want to run out and be all that she could be just to prove herself.

"I...huh?" she asked, finally hearing his voice after being lost in her thoughts for a bit. "Oh, well...eyesight..ears...whatever," she said, rolling her eyes. She stared off towards the staff table again, biting her bottom lip just a bit as she thought about what was going on up there. When Dominic started to speak again, Anna turned her attention back to him. "What?!!?" she exclaimed, dropping her jaw again and giving him a "how-dare-you" look. She sighed loudly, grabbed his face using both of her hands, and forced his head and his line of vision over to Cale Newell. "Don't flatter yourself, Dominic. I only have those kind of eyes for him," she snapped, a bit sharper than she'd intended. "If you must know, I'm a prefect. It's my job to question suspicious looking characters roaming the Great Hall."

Dominic continued to narrow his eyes at Anna in a mixture of confusion and amusement at her facial expressions. Anna Greingoth was certainly something else; perhaps it was because of her being better than everyone else type attitude which contradicted his own. Or it could be the fact that no one other than Kayla Winters had ever really seemed to stand up to him like Anna. Odd.

"Last I checked, eyes and ears were not th--" but he was cut off as he felt her hands on his face. Well that was moving things a little fast... quite literally speaking too, as he tried to resist her moving his head. Silly Gryffindor girl. "Hey Anna, no need to get so feisty with me. You're the one who said you had your eyes on me, he replied, pulling her hands off his face. Eww. But then she said the words he'd been hoping she would avoid. "Suspicious looking characters? Oh... so I'm suspicious now... thanks." Dominic sighed sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

Sneeze sat down and smiled. He couldn't believe that his second year was already over! He looked around for a few friends.

Kairi saw a boy that she'd seen around school. He was good friends with Dexter (Demetria), or something like that. Sneeze his name was... "Hey," Kairi said with a small smile. "Mind if I sit?"

Demetria walked into the great hall. She found Kairi and Sneeze sitting together and sat down to join them. "Hey guys. Whats up? Can you believe this year is already over?"

"Hey Dexter," Kairi said with a grin as Demetria joined them. "I know! It's flown past, quicker than a hare on a greased tractor field,"

"A what?" she asked laughing. "But yea it flew by majorly fast! I definatly won't forget my first year at Hogwarts. WE went through so much!"

"I don't know..." Kairi said with a curious grin. "I don't know comes what out of my mouth sometimes," she said shaking her head. "I know, we've gone through lots this year. I sure will miss this place,"

"I know. I mean I love my family and all but can't I just stay here a little longer?"

"I know how you feel. I'm not coming back next year," she said sadly.

It was her. No this was not the time for arguing and he had promised himself to get along with the girl. "Hi Evolette!" he said with a forced smile.
"Same as always." he said "How does it feel to almost be part of the oldest students in hogwarts?"
"Huwaii. Its a nice place to visit. I went there myself after my first year" said Barry memorys of his visit flooding back. He should write to Excellior soon its been a while. "Sorry I havn`t introduced myself, I`m Barry Weasley a second year Ravenclaw. You?"
"What?" Barry said before he could stop himself. "I wonder who it is and whos going to be our replacment just as long it isn`t Borr again."

Demetria looked up and her eyes widened. "Wh-what?! Why not?!"

"Because..." Kairi said quietly, "I have stuff to sort out, but I swear on Merlin's pants that I'll be back in a year, when we're all third years,"

"You promise? Pinky-swear!" she told her sticking out her pinky.

"Pinky-swear," Kairi said with a small grin, raising her pinky and linking it with Demetria's.

Demetria smiled and sighed. "What am I going to do without my ickle kitkat next year?"

Kairi grinned slightly, "You'll just have to live with the guy who's coming instead,"
