"Good.. are you missing something?" he asked with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Jason smiled at the girl who smiled at the students and profesor. " My namie Is Jason Potter Weasley, fifth year Gryffindor and you are?" Jason asked her. " Gwen, do not like boys now, huh?" Jason teased her. " Or do you think the pillow fight between the girls and boys in the Common room will not be a fair fight because of so many boys?" Jason asked and teased Gwen.

There was a wow expression on Rosa face as Kairi explained how she read things. "I could never read anything that way. Everything is always darkness like my eyes are close and can never open again," she said. Rosa was curious to know what else she had to say. "Alright. Well my mum developed quite a few spells for me. One of them is to change the words on paper into little bumps and I read them by running my fingers across them. Its quite simple once you get use to it," she explained and waited for Kairi to tell her what she had never told anyone before.

A confused look appeared on her face until she heard Luna meow. She smiled. "Oh. I was wondering why she wasn't on my lap anymore," Rosa replied. "She really does like you and Star to."

Kairi nodded. "Definitely not as strange as my method then," she said, with a small smile. She took a bite out of her chicken leg and ate a couple of chips, before saying what she'd never said before. "I see..........things," she said quietly, and then shrugged and ate another chip. "There like large misty clouds, shaped like an animal, and each person has one," She looked at Rosa and the misty thing sitting on her shoulder. "Each word has one too, and that's how I can read. I don't like being able to see them, it's like being haunted by ghosts," Kairi shivered, and ate another chip. She saw only blackness, but she saw a blackness haunted by mist, a mist that chills your bones when you touch it.

Nathaniel chuckled. "Well I really like them a lot. They are very sweet." he said petting the cat. "Speaking of Star.. where is she?!" he asked with disappointment

"Wow. That sounds amazing, but I don't think I'd like it much either," she said. Her voice quiet and soft. "It might scare me half to death. So I know why would wouldn't like it to much. Maybe there a way to get rid of it," Rosa added, eating a bit more of her food.

Luna purred and curled up in his lap as he petted her. "I can't take both of them everywhere with me. So she's with my things and should be up in the dorm now," Rosa explained.

Kairi shook her head. "I don't think so, I think I'm stuck with it forever," She sighed and ate another chip. She felt a bit better about it now she'd told someone, but she was worried that Rosa would tell someone. She didn't want the whole of Hogwarts to think of her as a crazy, haunted freak. "You won't tell anyone, will you?" she asked anxiously.

"Awww...that's a shame. Maybe there something that you can do to make it not so bad anymore," she replied. "I won't. I promise. Your secret is safe with me," Rosa was never one to tell someones secret. It was the worst thing you could ever to do to anyone. Even if she loathed the person it gave her no right to tell.

Kairi smiled at her. "Thanks," she said quietly. Rosa's misty thing was sitting on her shoulder, it was shaped like an cat. Kairi smiled as the mist-cat gazed back at her, its eyes full of fun and laughter. The mist-things creeped her out, but it was almost like they were part of that person, it was like the mist-cat sitting on Rosa's shoulder was reflecting Rosa's personality.

Lizzie sat down at the table, feeling a bit lonely. Two girls next to her was discussing something, and she heard them mention some secret. With a sad feeling she looked over at the Rawenclav table. She missed Natka, even though they had only just become friends. And everywhere she looked she just couldn't find Erica. With no enthusiasm at all, she started to eat. Even though the decorations were great, and there were ghosts everywhere, she would give anything to have her new friends by her side right now...

She closed her eyes and wish that someone would talk to her. Had everyone already made a lot of friends and she was left alone?? Terrible thought...

Lizzie felt very shy and didn't know whom to speak to, so she just sat there glancing at the girls next to her, and looked up and down the table after a sight of Erica. All the students looked so big and old! Some of them are seven years older than me, she thought. Oh god, what am I gonna do? Why am I all alone?

"I guess I never noticed how many of you there were until you were gone!" Gwen replied, her eyes twinkling. "And girls invented pillow fights. We would so win."

Kairi ate her last chip, but her stomach still rumbled hungrily. She placed her hand flat on the table again, took a deep breath, and once again a million vibrations flooded through her, one of them telling her a girl sitting next to them was feeling lonely. Kairi turned around to face her. "Hello, are you ok?"

Hayden looked up."Hey Jason,"her babyish voice sang."How are you today?"

"You should have seen the pillow fights Cale, Shel, Traivia, Chris and I had, they were doozies" Jason told Gwen. " I am good" Jason told Hayden. "What book are you reading?" Jason asked Hayden.

Lizzie lifted her head and looked at the girl next to her. She was looking at her, but still not really looking. A bit confused, she answered. "Sure, I'm all right. It's just such a big thing, this feast and the sorting and everything. Are you a first year student as well?" She looked around for a second and returned to the girl and her friend. "You don't happen to have seen a small blonde girl? She's a first year too. I lost her on our way here. Her name's Erica and I met her on the train. I think she 's in Gryffindor too."

Lizzie calmed down as she had someone to talk to. She didn't like loneliness, and this girl seemed very nice.

Freya glanced across the hall at the Gryffindor table, spotting several students she knew, Nathaniel and Kairi especially. She gave a small and quick wave, her face oddly void of emotion. 'It's good that they are talking to others. Better social skills.' Freya thought to herself, she was deep in thought. Once again.

Hayden flipped up one of the abused copies of Heather's first year books she got."Herbology,"Hayden said simpily."If anything me and my cousin always loved herbology. What's your favorite class?"

" Muggle Studies and Transfiguration" Jason told Hayden.

Astrid walked into the dining hall with excitement clearly showing on her face. This was what she had prayed for last term and the let down was incredible. At least the wait made her appreciate Hogwarts that much more. It was a fantastic sight. She couldn't help but notice how nice the addition of BOYS was either. She let out a very audible sigh, and scanned the Gryffindor table for familiar faces. She didn't see anyone right off, so she hurriedly picked a seat and got comfortable.

Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a very sad looking girl sitting across from her. Suddenly, the memories of her first moments at Belle's were coming through with a fierce clarity. The loneliness of being new and having no one to talk to. It was just torture. Thankfully, Astrid met most of her wonderful friends within the first few days of her arrival. None the less, she had a pretty good idea of what was going through THIS girls mind now and her heart went out to her.

She scooted down a bit so that she would be close enough to be heard, then she and cleared her throat and said, "Hi! I don't believe we've met. I'm Astrid Deschain." she finished with a warm smile.

"Wow that sounds interesting." Hayden considered it for a bit."Your lucky though. You have enough friends to help you through your classes. I only have three. I'm so shy I doubt I'll make any friends."

Kairi nodded. "You're right, it is pretty scary all this," She placed her hand flat on the table and took a deep breath. Once again vibrations flooded through her arm and along to her brain. She reached out and picked up some more chips, and then turned back to the girl. "No, I'm sorry, I didn't see your friend, but I'm sure she'll turn up," She picked up a chip and popped it into her mouth. "I'm Kairi, and, yes, I am a first year, but I'm thirteen, I was held back two years in muggle school. What about you?" she said with a small smile, and popping a couple more chips into her mouth.
Kairi noticed somebody waving to her out of the corner of her foot, it was Freya. She grinned and waved back at her. It was a shame that all the houses were kept separate, she would miss her Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff friends.

"Your welcome," Rosa said smiled, sweetly. Unaware of the misty cat that on her shoulder that only Kairi could see. She turned her head as Kairi started talking to a girl she had never heard before. Silently eating more of her food. She wished that she could help the girl locate her friend, but she couldn't see anything unless she knew the girls voice, but she was positive that she didn't. She didn't know to many people.

Allie ran into the Great Hall and scanned the table for Astrid. She spotted her, and quickly sat down next to her.
"Astrid, we have so much to do! I got this great idea on the train!" she said, extremly fast, so that almost nbody could understand her.

Kairi's eyes began to wonder to the girl's shoulder. A large misty monkey was perched there, and once again, just like with Rosa, it seemed to reflect the girl's personality. Kairi shook herself and ate another chip, occasionally glancing at her own misty thing, a wolf, that was sat at her feet, its body cold, its eyes warm.

Lizzie looked at the girl again, a little unsure of what she had meant with "I didn't see your friend". Was she blind? Poor girl, she thought and felt sorry for her. But she didn't have the curage to ask the girl right out. That's not something you just ask a stranger, or someone you've just met. She desided to answer the question instead.
"I'm Lizzie, and I come from a mugglefamily. I had no idea I was a witch before i got the letter, so I'm kind of new at the whole wizard-thing."

She continued to look at the girl, not staring exactly, more just glancing at her. Kairi kept holding her hands on the table, just like she could see through them. Lizzie had never met someone who was blind, and she didn't really know how to talk to the girl, or if she should look at her eyes or not. She thought she could as well look at Kairi's face, so she wa turned to her when she asked "Do you know a lot about magic? Are you're parents wizards?" She hesitated a second, but continued. "Is there any subject you're especially looking forward to?"

With relief Lizzie heard the girl talk to her, she wasn't all by herself anymore. She turned to her new neighbour. It was a girl about her age, maybe a year older. She seemed quite sure about herself, but her eye's looked very kind.
"No, I don't think so either. I'm Lizziz, new first year student. How about you?" She ate some while she watch the girl answer.
