Lizzie watched her friend as she took her shoes of and put them on again with a sigh. She could guess what had just happened. "You don't feel the vibrations any more, right?" she asked Kairi. "I guess that's the price we all pay for seeing." She looked closer into Kairi's eyes. She was very good at reading an expression on someone's face. "You don't feel like yourself anymore, do you? I understand." She felt a bit sad about Kairi, meant to be blind. Only truly herself when she couldn't see. Sad, she still smiled at her friend, who sat there and seemed to be amazed by the surroundings. "But I think you should enjoy the time you've got with eyes. Anything particular you wanna see?" she smiled at Kairi. "We could go explore the castle, only I think we have to wait for the speech first."

"Hmm, and who is Edward? Guess this cheescake is really magical then,"she smiled.

She was thinking about it, about Kairi. Maybe Cairi felt the same way she would if she would loose her sight and get the vibrations. Maybe...she was looking at Kairi, curious about her feelings. But didn't ask. For her the emotions-talk was enough maybe for 2 weeks, so she needed break. She smiled for herself.

Lizzie grinned. "I don't really know who he is, just that he knows Kairi. Right?" she added towards Kairi. "Exactly how do you know him?" She looked at Kairi while she spoke, and thought of the fact that he had asked her to come with him to Madam Puddifoots. Not that she knew that place, but she had heard Kairi say something about "isn't that a place for couples"... Now she carefully watched her friend, waiting for an answer, and smiled.

"Yeah, but the First years don't know that, now do they?" said Allie.
"They were fine, who are you looking at?"she said, noticing Sabrinas eyes wonder.

Seems like Travis was done with dinner. He had been sitting at the Gryffindor table without touching his food for a while and he thought it was time to leave.

He had been beyond excited to finally come back to Hogwarts after the summer holidays, but excited was the last thing Travis was. Caitlin's news had really affected him something bad. He didn't have a clue how he was going to get through classes the next day, what with Irial's unknown condition. Unknown referring to Travis not knowing if his best friend was dead already or not.

Travis tried to swallow a lump in his throat and pushed his dark hair out of his light gray eyes, and made his way away from the Gryffindor table and out of the Great Hall.

Having choked down a less than satisfactory meal, Lola took to taking her rounds. The young starlet strolled by the Gryffindor table, with a heart-warming grin plastered to her red lips, scarlet and mustard yellow reflecting in her brown eyes, murky with boredom. The feast had slowed down to a routine. No longer did Lola's heart, which she fancied little and as fragile as a hummingbird, tremor and pound with a symphonic loudness. Hearing the regular thump thump in her chest cavity unnerved her. So boring.

Lola twirled a tress of honey-spun hair around a pale fingernail; she'd forgotten to stop by a manicurist before the train and get them swathed in house pride green. And none whosoever could do it like Jin Lee. Lola fancied her nails very much. The hands were the most expressive of any parts. They held fans. They waved. They held one's true love in a tight, passionate grip. A little smirk marred her grin. They slapped.

Midway down, she spotted a boy, and halted, watching him. Normally, she'd bypass any such person, having been a 'martyr for her art'. Boyfriends were potholes on the road to fame, she thought sniffily. So, she ignored them altogether. But this one. Was distressed. It was an uncommon feat for manly men men, Lola had to admit, but she also felt something stretch from inside her and reach out to him. Something she imagined to be a golden hand or something venerable in that neighborhood. Suddenly, she was feeling very unlike her house's cardinal rule. Snubbery and snobbery. Maybe it was the infectious happy-go-lucky vibe of the Gryffindors. Dropping her chin demurely and raising it in inspired deliberation, Lola clacked forward, in grave danger of killing herself with the kind of heels she wore. Nearing the young man, she recognized him as that boy. That boy. Caitlin knew him? Oh, that boy. Her eyes crinkled slyly before she approached him and matched his pace.

"Are you alright?" she queried, turning to look at him with a cocked brow. "I know the food's not exemplery, but I don't think you've gone ill?"

Fred was a bit disappointed that he didn't miss the feast. This wasn't something he had ever enjoyed and he didn't thought that he would ever enjoyed it. What was so trilling about all this. All that was happening was the students getting sorted then the famous and sometime boring speech, then you ate until you could walk to your dorms. In his opinion, if he could skip all this, it would be better but there he was not too far from his House table. He didn't want to go sit there but his stomach was rumbling.

'Let's go get something and not stay around too much,' he thought to himself. He took few step in order to reach an empty place but instead of sitting there, he took a glass and put some pupkin juice in it. Grabbing a piece of turkey, he turned around and walks away.

Hannah smiled back. The boy's voice and guitar playing was really nice, and she wanted to know more about him.

"Sabrina!" Hannah exclaimed. She gave Sabrina a hug. "I'm so glad to see you! I've missed you too! Ewww, business trip? Not fun." She grimaced. "Your hair is red! It looks nice," she smiled. She wondered why it was red now. Was there some meaning behind it? Oh well, she thought. I guess Sabrina would say something if there was something behind it. It's not my business anyway. She smiled again.

Hannah did a double-take at the boy walking up. He was really good-looking. She had a feeling he had a little thing for Kairi, though. She wondered what his name and house were. Never mind, guess she didn't have to wonder any more. She jumped in, "Hey, I'm Hannah. I'm a second-year Gryffindor." She gave him a smile.

Hannah smiled welcomingly at the boy she saw eating. She never knew how to start up conversations, so she hoped he'd start one with her.

"Hello," said Hannah. "I'm Hannah, Hannah Weasley. Nice to meet you, Robert." She looked out of the corner of her eyes and noticed Sabrina had a funny look on her face, but one she didn't know how to name.

Hannah's eyes followed the boy out of the room. She didn't know him, but was somehow intrigued. It seemed like something was upsetting him. She got the overwhelming urge to follow him out of the Great Hall, but she knew she couldn't.

It was a very dangerous thing for Travis to drown himself in awful thoughts of death and disaster. Memories of years past would come flooding back to him soon and he didn't think that was a good idea at the moment. The place was crowded. Too crowded. And the buzz of hundreds of conversation threatened to overwhelm him.

Surely the exit of the Great Hall hadn't been that far away? On the edge of panicking, Travis tried to walk more quickly but his legs weren't responding properly.

Irial.

Travis' nearly transparent gray eyes avoided the Hufflepuff table, he didn't wish for Caitlin to see how bad he was doing at the moment. He didn't want to worry her more than she already was. He had to be brave for her. And he had to trust that Irial would come back to them soon. He promised.

Your mother had promised, too.

His heart clenched and if he walked any faster, the students would notice. Quite suddenly, a voice registered in his brain and he stopped mid-step.

"Pardon?" Travis asked softly, not trusting his voice much at the moment. He rested his eyes on a girl not much older than him, wearing heels. The food? I barely even touched the food. "Oh, um, the food was well enough." He tried for a smile. "I'm quite alright, actually. Um, the noise was getting to me." Travis tapped a slim finger to ear.

It wasn't a lie. The noise really was getting to him. His too-sensitive ears began to hurt when it got loud.

Hannah looked over at the little scene happening near her. She wanted to go over and ask the boy if he was alright, but she felt like it really was none of her business. Instead, she just looked at him concernedly and hoped he wouldn't think she was weird for staring.

A sudden feeling of being watched came over Travis, and he felt ridiculous. He had yet to leave the Great Hall so of course people would be staring. His light eyes tore away from the girl he was speaking to and the came to rest on a different girl who was looking back at him.

He tried to swallow, feeling trapped. I need to get out of here! Travis tried to keep a straight face from his internal struggle, in case Caitlin was watching him, too.

The girl he was looking at had slight light reddish-brown hair, but he wasn't sure; his gray eyes were getting clouded.

Allie hobbled back to the Gryffindor table, with her left foot floating, and Astrids help to walk.
She couldn't believe what had just happened! How could that boy try to blame the whole thing on her, she fell, yeah, but she didn't mean too! He acted liek the whole thing was done on purpose, just to hurt him! He really needed an ego check!
Allie gently sat down on the bench, making sure not to hurt her ankle any more, and said, "Well...that was...interesting."

Gwen turned from her plate to seeing a limping Allie sit down nearby. "Allie, what happened?" she asked, scooting over to make room for her and Astrid.

"I tripped, over by the Huffie table." said Allie."The new healer intern said i should goto the hospital wing after the feast is over."

"Oh no," Gwen replied sympathetically. "And someone tripped you? Did I hear that right?"

"Well, no, not exactly, I tripped over myslef, but the guy who I fell on was a complete jerk." said Allie, blushing, a little bit.

Gwen giggled. "Aw that's okay," she said, hugging her. "You tripped over yourself. A girl after my own heart."

"I'm fine Astrid, really." said Allie, giving her a reasurring smile.

Allie giggled, and hugged Gwen back. "There must be some imaginary rope that makes us fall!"

Krissy sat at the table with a cheerful smile on her face. She was so glad to know Helios was alive and well, if only she could find her other friends. Humming an Irish lullaby to herself she pulled some food towards her. This term was going to be better, she had a plan. Hard work, and new friends would help her have a happier life.

Erica smiled at Shaylee asking "Have you flown before? And my aunt isn't married yet. She thinks men are just trouble. I don't know if my aunt would have time to date now, with her new job at the Ministry and taking caring of my three siblings."Drinking some pumpkin juice Erica sat and just enjoyed the welcoming feast and the buzz of converstations around her.

Erica gave Lizzie room to hug Natka too. It was great to have her two friends around her. In seconds Lizzie was off bombarding Natka with questions. Sitting down in her seat again Erica poured Natka a glas of pumpkin juice to go with the cookies. Listening she mumbled "No, i think that's everyone if there arn't any people left to sort." Looking up at the staff table she saw that the sorting hat was gone and the professor's were eating. Smiling at Lizzie she said "Of course you should try out for the quidditch team, Lizzie. You'll be able to fly in no time when the flying lessons start and we all get some practice in. I'm sure."

Erica was glad that Natka had started to make friends in her own house. It wouldn't be fair if she and Lizzie made a lot of new friends and not Natka. Seeing a hint of nervousness in Natka eyes, Erica gave her friends hand a light squezze whispering in her ear. "Don't be nervous. Just be yourself. That's what i'm doing. And don't worry so much. I'm sure you'll meet a lot of new friends in Ravenclaw. If they arn't nice then Lizzie and I are here for you no matter what. I promise." Erica looked up at the staff table as Natka mentioned an welcoming speech. Shrugging she said "I don't know, probably when the headmistress has finished her dinner. I have no clue what the speech could be about. Maybe about school rules and new professor's?"

As Natka stood up to go back to the Ravenclaw table, Erica wished that her friend could have stayed throughout the rest of the feast. But as Natka said it was probably best if she heard the speech with her fellow housemates in Ravenclaw. Erica waved goodbye and then focused on her last lemon muffin hoping for the headmistress speech to come soon. She started to feel very tired from the eventfull day.

"Oh, Sab, I mean, he's a big star! He gets letter and presents from fans almost - well - everyday, so I think he won't bother checking them." Usagi admitted sadly and returned to her cheesecake.

Halfway through her cheesecake, she spotted Allie walking back to their table with Astrid's aid. Hearing that Allie tripped, she said sympathetically: "Aww, it happens all the time! Some jerk must've put a charm there to trip you. I mean, there are a lot of jerks in this planet. Can't stand them anyway, and you should really get some ice for your ankle."

Via for a moment gazed at KAiri's eyes. They were perfectly normal, you wouldn't think she's blind. Via felt like she was being sucked into KAiri's eyes. "No KAiri!" she shook her head, "I'm just weird sometimes i don't know what i'm saying."

Via turned to Lizzie, "I'm a second year," she said with a beam, "I just met KAi at Diagon Alley; at the ice cream parlor if i'm not mistaken."

Via listened to KAiri's answer on Lizzie's question then she added, "More often than not, many things can be seen by the eyes, yes, but there are more things felt by the heart and mind." Now, now, this is what she learn in reading books.

Via waved and smiled at Lizzie's friend, "I'm Via," she said, "a second year, gryffie." Hearing the talk about flying, "Flying is really fun," she said with a nod.

"Nate? Heya buddy. How are yah doing?" Via said happily to him, "You're bored i see. I think we're both thinking about the common rooms." Via was raising her eyebrows. She chuckled.

"Sab?" VIa said, "Oh! I think you... like him.." She mouthed the words like him. Then Via gave a low laugh. She noticed Usa and Sab were talking about something she thought she knew, "Still Zac efron?"

Via was happy KAiri could see now, Edward had given her a potion. "I think we have a.. a couple here," Via added as she smiled.

Then she saw Allie, what's wrong, Via thought. Her question was answered when she heard Allie tripped.

Lizzie also said goodbye to Natka, and turned back to the table. How much longer would it take for the staff to eat? She was full of food and delicious dessert, and felt her sleepy head bump from one side to another. What was it with her, she didn't wanna miss this. But still, a warm bed and a nice book wouldn't be wrong right now, she thought. With a sigh she looked at the stafftable, they all seemed to be eating, and talking.. Trying to do something while waiting, she turned back to her new friends. "Hey, aren't you tired to? I feel like I could fall asleep any minute. But..." she couldn't come up with anything to say, so she went silent. How long had they been sitting there? At least, she didn't have to sit all alone, and for that she was very grateful. Her new friends were worth everything.

Lizzie turned to Via as she talked about heart and mind... and everything. She smiled."That sounds really deep, Via. Like a poem or something. Do you write poems? I do, I love it.. And they can turn out so beautiful..." she got a bit dreamy before getting back to reality. "I totally agree, Via. I think we do have a couple here.. " She smiled at Kairi and whispered "Do you like him? I think he's really cute, and handsome. And he seems to be nice too. Does he have good vibrations?" she asked with a smile on her face, thinking about the vibrations Kairi usually felt.
