Kairi nodded. "I know, you think you know someone, and they turn on you. What did Barry do, anyway?"

"Well, first he is my cousin, he never sticks by family, oh wait a minute, he does not stick by me- part of his family" Jason told Kairi. "He did not know what was going on at the table about the bad back, etc. so he took the other side without asking me what really happened." Jason said to Kairi. " I should have known better, he always takes the wrong side against me" Jason said.

Kairi nodded again. "It'll be ok, this Barry person seems like the person who judges too quickly, hopefully he'll see the wrong of his ways," she said with a small smile.

Chris thought he saw never mind it wasnt her, wait it was! "KAIRI! How are you?"

"Thanks Kairi" J. ason told her. Jason decides to walk away so Kairi can talk to her friend

"See you later Jason," she said, waving after him.
"CHRIS!" Kairi said turning round at the sound of his voice. "Long time no see! I'm fine, what about you?" Kairi asked, a big grin on her face.

Chris made his way over to the Gryffindor table. He saw Jason. He sat down next to him. "Hey Jay, how's it going?" He asked Jason.

Well, Chris Kaplan, I guess I can stay and talk to you for a couple of minutes" Jason told him. " I am not huingry- you know I do not like food too much" jason told Chris a lie.

" im great i see you got Sorted into Gryffindor too. Im so excited. Isnt this place just amazing?!" Chris said as he looked around at the enchanted ceiling and all the people around him, Students, Teacher, and Ghosts.

Piper noticed the crowd around her and she shrank back in her seat, looking for a way to escape. She didn't know how her sister managed to survive here. She was so homesick and scared.

Jason looks at a new arrival for Gryffindor. She seemed to shrink back in her seat. " Well, hello, i am Jason Potter Weasely and you are?" Jason asked her.

Piper looked stunned as a Boy said hello to her. "H..Hello.." She stuttered out as she turned a nice reddish pink color. "M..My n..name is Piper Andrina Snow." She managed to get out. "I..it's nice to meet you." She said as she played with her robes.

" Do not worry, everything will go smoothly here for you" Jason told Piper. "So what year are you?" Jason asked her. " I am fifth year" Jason said.

Piper nodded at the Jason's words and she tried hard to believe them."I..h..hope e..everything w..will go smoothly." She stuttered out shyly. It was a bad habit she had when she was nervous. "I am a f..fourth year." She said as she turned her violet eyes back to the table. "H..how long have you b..been coming here?" She asked shyly.

"Yeah, it's awesome," kairi said, looking up at the enchanted ceiling too.

This is my fifth year, I have to study for my Owls and Newts this year" Jason told Piper. " You knew where our table had been, you know someone else here?" Jason asked Piper.

Piper nodded at Jason's words, "This is my first year, even though I am a 4th year. I transferred here." She said quietly. " No actually, my older s..sister went here, and she..she drew me maps." She blushed more. And nervously played with her hair. She wasn't used to talking to boys, or anyone but her family really.

Anna's jaw dropped and then she sighed in frustration. Another arguement seemed to have developed at the Gryffindor table - even after both prefects had asked for that to stop.

Anna opened her mouth to step in, but Cale beat her to it. She stopped and listened to what Cale had to say first.

"From the way I see it, Jason, Cale is right," Anna replied. "I don't really see where Barry was doing anything except trying to give you the same advice we gave you. I got the impression he was trying to help you. There is no reason for Barry to leave, and you really should apologize like Cale advised."

"Thank you," Anna said, nodding and smiling as Jason apologized. However, the problem did not stop there as Anna thought it would. "Jason, STOP NOW!" Anna instructed. "You've apologized to Barry, and you should leave the situation at that."

Anna narrowed her eyes and then sighed once again as Jason proceeded to now argue with Cale. "Jason, your prefects can not always defend you, nor can we always defend the other members of Gryffindor. If someone from another house is innocent, we have to defend them, as well. If that means we have to ask another Gryffindor to apologize, as Cale just did, we will. That doesn't mean we don't stand by Gryffindors. It means that as prefects we are encouraging everyone, Gryffindor or not, to do the right thing."

Anna slouched down in her seat, an irritated expression on her face. This was not how she imagined her first day back at Hogwarts to be. The school was wonderful, but she was starting to have more prefect duties on the very first day than she'd had during the very first month last school year. The sad thing was, they were all happening right here at the Gryffindor table.

Chris laughed at Jason saying he wasn't hungery. "Yeah right you are always hungery." Chris.

"Sorry, I do not mean to make you uncomfortable" Jason told Piper. " Anna, you and the rest still do not understand but know i know I must be Mr. Troublemaker for hurting my back " Jason said to her. " look barry, did not know what happened and I can tell him how I feel about him not being in the family" jason told Anna. " He always has never listened to both sides, I mean my side, just the other person is always right" Jason told her. " I just want to talk to Chris and Piper-if she wants me, too" Jason told Anna.

Piper shook her head, her black hair flying as Jason spoke. " No, you do not make me uncomfortable. Well, you do. But in a good way. I am really shy, talking to other people does not come easily." She said softly.

"Well, this is my best friend here at HogWarts- Chris Kaplan" Jason told her. " He is nice and he will make your life here easy at HogWarts until he is with his girlfriend, which is understandable " Jason told Piper.

Piper smiled a bit. "Yes girlfriends do tend to monopolize a guy's time." She said with a slight sigh. Her older sister had gotten married recently. She nodded in the direction of the other boy. "Nice to meet you." she said softly.

"Sorry Anna, I am still upset about the situation" Jason told her. " I just feel everyone is picking on me this term and it has not even started." Jason told Anna . "Sorry, too Cale. I am being stupid" jason said.

"Nice to meet you too" Chris said.

"Oh Jay like I am the only guy whos like that around my girlfriend. And you set me up with her anyways." Chris told Jason.
