"Well maybe you'll get lucky and yours won't offer you dating advice," she joked. She was calmer now. The argument seemed to have died down.

Did he have some sort of magical hearing aid that he could turn up so as to hear everyone talking? Raiden's jaw dropped at the boy's sharp words. He claimed that he treated his friends and family with respect, but... he had just met Raiden and Bree and Daphne Hopton, and he was being really rude to them... And silly little Raiden let that thought out.

"But... you're not being nice to people you've just met," he said softly, wondering if the older boy's super-hearing would pick it up. "Even if you're nice to your friends and family, that doesn't mean you're not being mean to us... you were glaring at Bree, and you weren't being polite to Daphne Hopton...and you were short with Kingston Wendleworth, too."

And then Daphne Hopton had her hand on his shoulder and was speaking... Intimidated? Didn't that word mean he was sort of... frightened of the older boy? Raiden was irked by him, for sure, especially now... but frightened? He didn't seem all that scary.

"Intimidated?" he whispered, his words barely audible. "That might not be the right word, Daphne Hopton... Doesn't intimidated mean he's sort of frightening me? I'm not afraid of him..."

This boy rather seemed to like surnames. Bree decided to offer hers too. "Also...also my surname is Finchley. I'm Bree Finchley." she said slowly. She didn't have a chance to shake his offered hand because he immediately had to withdraw it to talk to Kingston Wendleworth. Bree was intrigued by his upper-class airs that seemed so like Daphne's.

She wasn't as refined herself. Just an average middle-class girl. Schooled on state funds. Her brother probably knew many people like Kingston now, seeing as he went to Cambridge. Without her. Whenever he came back he'd seemed slightly different. Sometimes she felt like he kept playing musical chairs with all of the people who looked like him but were very different personality-wise. She frowned.

However, this is no reason to continue the fight once it's started. Explain it was a misunderstanding, and that should be the end of it. We're all in the same house and we all have to try and get along with each other. If everyone is being nice to each other, I see no reason to be rude or impolite in return, right?" he asked. "One thing you have to understand about me is that I detest rudeness with a passion. And I won't stand to have any of it in Gryffindor. Ok? I really don't like yelling like that but...if we're already all fighting on the first day of term, and we haven't even started classes, how can we possibly make it through the year without killing each other?" he asked, frowning and wrinkling his eyebrows.

ooc: Ok, that was a little harsh, but you get my point, right? Whether it's part of your character's personality or not, there is just no excuse for being plain out rude and arguing like that. Kay thanks :]

Then she jumped again as Cale spoke up, yelling for the entire table to hear. She could feel the burning shame on her cheeks. She hadn't meant to 'cause such a fuss. Usually she wasn't like this. The entire day had consisted of her not behaving as she usually would. This school was bringing out the worst in her on the very first day.

Perhaps just avoiding Jason from now on and sticking with those she already knew would keep her out of trouble. She felt like going to bed now, her hunger entirely forgotten. She was exhausted from the excitement of the day. She nibbled quietly at her pork trying not to draw any attention.

Cale blinked. Whoa, FREAKY! It was like she could read his mind. Maybe she could. Nah, if she could she would have figured out the whole necklace thing by now. "Well, it's a 75th anniversary, so that's pretty special! Jason just wants to get the perfect gift, right Jason?" he asked.

The excitement of the day was finally starting to take it's toll on Mariel. She looked at Bree and gave her a little grin before getting up from the table. "Maybe I'll see you in class?"

Were they going to end up being her friends too? Turning to Lizzie she asked "Umm. Did you see in which house Natka was sorted? Maybe we should go over and visit her?"

Maggie was enjoying all those cakes, and just chewing, taking more sweete and..well, just eating. She was listening to the conversation of her new schoolmates and friends. A new girl, Erica came. And Lizzie was just smiling all the time. Maggie made great decision: no more cakes, or she wil blow up! Or, maybe, one more sweet, she smiled and took one chocolate muffin on her plate. "Hi Erica, I'm Maggie," she said, smiling, her mouth full of muffin."Hmm, sorry,"she said, swallowing the bite. "So you already met Lizzie before?"she asked."Great!"she added, looking forward to get know her friends better.

Erica started taking a piece of food there and there on the table. In minutes her plate was full of food. Digging into the food on her plate she was content with just eating and listening to the conversation around her. She was really hungry. As she finished off her plate she heard someone say her name. Looking up Erica smiled saying "Nice to meet you, Maggie!" Smiling broadly she asked noting the muffins on the other girls plate "Are the muffins, good? Are there different flavors to choose from?" Relaxing in her seat she nodded "Yes, i met Lizzie and another girl Natascha/Natka on the train to Hogwarts. Do you know Lizzie from before Hogwarts or did you just meet her tonight?"

The seventh year then turned his attention back to Mr. Kururugi, a sweet smile creeping on his lips. "Let me teach you a lesson, my dear boy. People should be nice no matter who they are speaking to. Even if it maybe the person they hate most. A person must keep his composure and act as the better man." Kingston informed the small boy, grinning. If Kingston had a chance to teach this little first year some manners, then he wouldn't mind the young boy tagging along through his last year. It would be quite interesting.

Raiden felt a sudden bubble of sadness in his chest as Kingston Wendleworth spoke again. Had he been arguing? If he had... he felt horrible. He didn't want to argue with the older boy, but... the boy had been mean and made Daphne Hopton upset. He didn't like when his friends were upset.

"Was... was I being mean?" Raiden asked quietly as Kingston spoke to him again. "I didn't even realize. I didn't mean to... I'm sorry. I was just unhappy because of how he was treating Daphne Hopton and Bree..."

His hand rubbed the back of his neck and he bit his lip anxiously. Raiden Kururugi... mean? He didn't want anyone to think of him as mean. If people thought he was rude, or mean, or anything like that... they wouldn't want to be friends! And Raiden so wanted to be friends with everyone he met. But... this older guy didn't seem to want to be friends. And maybe he was wrong, but Raiden didn't really feel the urge to be friends with him, either. Treating people with respect wasn't something that was limited to those you already knew, and the way he'd treated Daphne Hopton and the rest of them was just plain wrong.

He looked then at Daphne Hopton, who had patted his hand and smiled slightly at him. "You're okay, Daphne Hopton?" he murmured, still concerned no matter what she could say. "You're sure?"

And then the Jason person was off again, reprimanding Barry, the boy who Raiden had just met, and another person named Gwen. Raiden bit his lip again in confusion. Jason was saying that if Barry didn't take his side, then they'd no longer be family? Was it possible to do that? But he didn't interfere; Kingston Wendleworth had told him not to start an argument. He didn't want to go against Kingston Wendleworth, after all... but Jason was being very mean to more people now... and what was that about Slytherins? Being themselves because they didn't like Gryffindors?! But... Raiden looked at Daphne Hopton, then at Anna, and Bree, and Cale, who was looking very, very unhappy... and Astrid too, was a Gryffindor. He liked them... He didn't understand what the boy was saying.

"Daphne Hopton," he whispered, keeping his voice very, very low. "You're a Gryffindor, right? And Bree is too... and most everyone around, except for me, and Kingston Wendleworth..."

He trailed off. The guy had heard him earlier from farther away, and again, Raiden didn't want to start arguments... and besides, Cale was yelling now. Raiden flinched at the unnatural sound of Cale's shouting. It didn't seem like he did it much, it just didn't sound right for Cale's voice to be so... loud. He was upset with them all, it seemed... and he said something about them going to their own tables? Raiden was genuinely unhappy now. He'd not only displeased Kingston Wendleworth, but Cale, too.

"Maybe.. maybe I should go back to the Slytherin Table," Raiden mumbled, his lips drawing themselves down at the corners. "I didn't want to make Kingston Wendlworth and Cale displeased... Or Anna, or Daphne Hopton..." He looked at Bree, who had just supplied her last name to him as well, and tried to smile. "It's very nice to have met you, Bree Finchley." He looked at Astrid, and Barry. "You too, Astrid and Barry..."

He stood awkwardly for a moment, trying to figure out a way to escape this place without stepping on or running into anyone. There were too many people here anyway, and if he was just here adding to the anger and starting arguments, well... no one would miss him. If only he could find a way around all these people...

Barry spotted Raiden did he look sad? First years arn`t supposed to be sad no there supposed to be climbing trees pretending to be tarzan and jumping in puddles like Cela wanted to.

He walked over and said "It was a pleasure meeting you too Raiden and I`m really sorry for what Jason has done to you. I can tell your a nice kid and well Jasons just misunderstood that hes a good bloke just sometimes he jumps to conclutions without thinking about it but after that I can understand if you want to keep away. Apart from him everyone likes you and you`ll be welcome over at the Ravenclaw table if you ever want to come. Now if you want to get away from Jason Iand go away then I won`t stop you but I`d like it if I could get to know you better if not here maybe at my table"

Looking up Erica smiled saying "Nice to meet you, Maggie!" Smiling broadly she asked noting the muffins on the other girls plate "Are the muffins, good? Are there different flavors to choose from?" Relaxing in her seat she nodded "Yes, i met Lizzie and another girl Natascha/Natka on the train to Hogwarts. Do you know Lizzie from before Hogwarts or did you just meet her tonight?"

Maggie smiled as Erica mentioned muffins."Hmm, I think there,"she pointed across the table,"are also some peppermint and right here,"she looked on her left,"are some lemons one." she said.

"Nah, I met Lizzie just few minutes before you came,"said Maggie," She was talking to Kairi, and I met Kairi before on Diagon Alley,"she smiled. "I'm glad we are together in Gryffindor,"Maggie blushed a little,"you know, I mean, that you all are very nice, so,"she paused,"we, hmm, could be good friends,"she ended, thaing a bite in the muffin. She never knew how to show emotions, and it was really difficult for her even say something like this.

As Via was busying herself with food, she noticed her friends cheerfully chatting with each other. She just smiled, she was at HOgwarts no and it's going to be another wonderful year for her and her friends. All were enjoying the party if she wasn't mistaken.

via saw Barry and students from other houses at their table, She waved over to Barry and a new boy who was looking so nice. Actually Barry was talking to him. Now via had to adjust coz there were many people at school now not only girls anymore but with boys.

Already finished eating Rosa yawned as she waited for the feast to be over. Starting to get rather tired, her head dropping a few times. She had always been an early sleeper so it was natural that she was starting to nod off.

Kairi smiled at Erika, trying to avoid looking at the parrot. "Hi, I'm Kairi," she said, nodding politely at her, her blind, purple eyes reflecting in her pumpkin juice.

Giving Maggie a warm smile agreeing, Erica replied "Yes, it great that we are in Gryffindor together. I hope that we can become close friends. I wouldn't mind having you as a best friend if you don't mind having me?" Getting on the train earlier in the day she had never thought that she would have meet, so many wonderful girls. Turning a little in her seat to look at Kairi she said "Nice to meet you Kairi! I think we met in Flourish & Blotts in Diagon Ally? I'm sorry if i ignored you. The book incident made me not think straight. So sorry about that."

"Oh yeah," Kairi said remembering the incident. "Were you ok? I think the heaviest book of the lot fell on your head, must of had quite a bump there," she said, with a small smile. "So are you a first year too? I can't wait for Quidditch and Transfiguration, oh, and Charms, oh, and the food here is great don't you think? I think so, it's the best food I've ever tasted, especially the chips," she said in one full flow. She took a deep breath, "Sorry about that, I do tend to babble on a bit sometimes," she said, with a grin.

Lizzie just sat there, a big smile on her face. She looked around and saw all her new friends get along very well. Happy she grabbed some more food. This seemed to turn out pretty well. Her only thought was This is were I'm meant to be. She had got tired, and wasn't really in the conversation. She just heard some parts here and there. With happy thoughts she turned to them all. "Anyone knows where the gryffindore commonroom is? I've wondered for a while. This castle most be huge.." She looked around. Imagine the whole castle if this was only the place where they would eat. There most be millions of classrooms, corridors... She could hardly wait to get to know it all.

Erica stroked her head absentmindedly feeling the bump still on her head. The good thing was that it had stopped swelling and it didn't hurt anymore. Looking at Kairi she responded "I'm okay now. I think you're right. My head got hit with the heaviest book in the lot. I've still got a big bump on my head from it. It's stopped swelling and hurting, but my auntie wants me to have it checked out by the school nurse." Erica smiled and nodded "Yes, I’m a first year. Do you think we will get to learn how to use our wands and perform spells and potions?"

Eating up the last of her lemon muffin she mumbled "Quidditch is what I’m most looking forward to, too. I hope to try out for the house team, but only if first years are allowed. I'm looking forward to all classes and that includes Transfiguration and Charms." It was a bit hard to keep up with Kairi's pace and change of subject. Taking a short pause to gather her thoughts she said "Yes, the food here is definitely delicious compared to what my auntie cooks. She isn't much of a cook." Erica grinned at Kairi saying "Don't apologize I tend to babble on too, if I have a lot on my heart."

Kairi nodded at Lizzie, "Your right, it is massive. But I haven't a clue where the common room is, and you might need to help me find Lizzie," she said, winking at her with a blind and purple eye.
Then she turned back to Erika. She grinned and popped another chip in her mouth.

Rosa covered another yawn, eyes drooped half close. Trying to keep her eyes from closing seemed to burn even more of her energy. With her elbow on the table she rested her head against her hand, big mistake because her eyes just about closed completely. Causing her to tip backward out her seat. "Ahhh!" she squeaked loudly.

Maggie was listening just half an ear, while Erica was eating her lemon muffin and asking about Maggie's favourite flavour. "Hmm, I guess I like those classic ones, like chocolate and vanilla with chocolate chips,"she said.

Then she heard something about best friends. It took her a while realizing that Erica was talking about her and Maggie."oh, what?"she said, surprised."I mean, sure, we,hmm"she paused,"surely can be friends, or best friends,"she said, smiling, but little nervous. She was glad that Erica offered her being best friends, but they have just met, so why the hurry? "Hmm, sure, I hope we all will be very good friends after all,"she added, but then realized that her friendship with Erica and Lizzie could be really close,"but, I, hmm,"she really didnt like talking about emotions! "guess, you and Lizzie, you are, I think..huh..close to me,"she ended, hoping that all what she said didnt sound as stupid for Erica as it sounded for her.

She smiled at her,"Hmm, and whats your favourite flavour of muffin?"she asked, hoping, that emotions-talk was done.

As Lizzie joined in the conversation again Erica gave her a playfull poke in the side asking jokingly "Where did you go off too? Dreamland?" Feeling a slight yawn coming she hid it with her hand saying "I think someone said that it was on the seventh floor, but i'm not sure. Won't the prefect's lead us there?"
