Cale had had enough of this. What in the name of Merlin was going on in the world? Everyone was arguing with each other and accusing the others of being rude and now there was a food fight? GAHHHHH! He couldn't take it! Was it that hard to be nice to people? Come on, this was getting ridiculous!

"Alright, enough, ALL OF YOU!" he exclaimed, standing up and glaring down at everyone in the general area. "From what I've just witnessed within the past few minutes, I have to say I'm completely apalled. It's just plain rude to gossip about people in front of their faces, and all this arguing here is pointless and isn't getting anyone anywhere, it's just making the situation worse. If you've come here just to cause drama you can go back to your own tables," he addressed the people who were not Gryffindors. "And for those of you stuck at this table here--one more rude or sarcastic comment out of any of you and I'm getting a professor faster than you can blink." he told them.

And he had heard rumours that he wasn't a tough prefect. HA.

He sat down with a sigh and turned to Daphne, Jason, and Bree. "Whatever started this whole fight was, as already mentioned, probably a complete misunderstanding. However, this is no reason to continue the fight once it's started. Explain it was a misunderstanding, and that should be the end of it. We're all in the same house and we all have to try and get along with each other. If everyone is being nice to each other, I see no reason to be rude or impolite in return, right?" he asked. "One thing you have to understand about me is that I detest rudeness with a passion. And I won't stand to have any of it in Gryffindor. Ok? I really don't like yelling like that but...if we're already all fighting on the first day of term, and we haven't even started classes, how can we possibly make it through the year without killing each other?" he asked, frowning and wrinkling his eyebrows.

ooc: Ok, that was a little harsh, but you get my point, right? Whether it's part of your character's personality or not, there is just no excuse for being plain out rude and arguing like that. Kay thanks :]

" I appreciate what you said Cale" Jason thanked him "Well, if it is a misunderstanding, I apologize to Bree and Daphne" Jason said. "Now Cale what
about Gwen and Astrid saying their sorry to me since they did not know what happened and I will be happy" Jason told Cale. " Cale, right now, I am not happy being in Gryffindor and you know that is not me" Jason told him.

"None?" Anna questioned. Hmm. That sounded like a really suspicious answer to her. Allie was definitely up to something. There was no doubt about that. Now all Anna had to do was figure out just what it was. "Yeah, erm...study groups...Gobstones...right." Anna was almost positive Allie had been thinking of something else other than study groups and Gobstones, though. "Well, if you happen to think of something, let me know, alright?"

She started to say something else to Allie, but just then, Reese walked up and Anna just had to say hello.

"Well, hello again, co-princess," Anna said with a laugh. "And look who we found, Miss Reese the Cheesecake Thrower." Anna laughed again at the last comment, remembering Reese and cheesecake throwing moment over the summer. "So how's things at the Slytherin table?"

Before Anna could hear Reese's reply, she was startled nearly out of her seat at the sound of Cale's loud voice. Wow, evidentally the arguing had gotten a lot worse when Anna had been away from the table saying hello to other friends. She stood up next to Cale, making it known that both prefects were going to stand united on this decision.

"I agree with everything that was just said," she stated. "If we can't get along at the Opening Feast, it's only going to get worse throughout the term. We want to see Gryffindor united and standing together as a house, not separated and at odds. If this arguing doesn't stop and we can't start getting along, Cale and I will ask a professor to step in."

Anna sat back down next to Cale and listened as he addressed Jason and a few others. Wow. Day one and both prefects already had to stop a massive arguement. Hopefully everything would be settled now and things could return to a friendly, exciting environment.

Astrid heard Jason's last comment and felt terribly misunderstood. She walked slowly over to where he stood and said, "Jason, you are my friend! I would never intentionally hurt you and I am sorry if I did. I was merely trying to keep the peace because I was concerned for all of you." she looked at him for a minute, trying to gauge his reaction to what she was saying but she couldn't read him at all at the moment. She gave him a little smile and added, Will you forgive me for not talking to you first?"

" Why is it alway me Cale and Anna, my back was hurting and everyone got mad at me for hurting" Jason said to them. "Why are you blaming me since all i said was hello to the new students? Jason asked them " I do not think I am part of the problem of not getting along with my Gryffindor housemates, I think it is the other way" Jason told both prefects. "You are forgiven Astrid" jason told her. "You know have to face my wrath" Jason teased her as he tickled Astrid.

"I'm not blaming you at all Jason," Cale assured him. "We're not blaming anybody. I just hope that once we move past this, everyone at this table will try to be more polite and curteous so misunderstandings don't happen anymore, do you understand? I'm not saying it's your fault at all."

Woah. How long has it been? Suddenly the Great Hall was already flooded with students, both old and new. The Staff table was also filled up and there were about a billion interviews going on at once and it was difficult to keep up.

Momentarily distracted by trying to observe almost everyone at once, Jillian finally turned to Daphne and saw she was talking to a tall, rather handsome and very well-groomed Hufflepuff boy and a Ravenclaw girl.

She blinked two times before she whispered, "Hey, Daphne, who're they?" she asked. Merlin, was she that out of it that she didn't notice the two join them?

" Ok, then again a misunderstanding" Jason told Cale. Jason tell the other Gryffindors"See Cale and I know how to deal with this situation, neither of us got mad at each other" Jason giving an example to the other Gryffindor students. Jason teased Cale" Revolution"- HA, Ha" " Jillian, how is the food?" Jason asked her.

Gwen wiped her glasses on a napkin, picking bits of broccoli out of her hair. "Jason, I fall over things all the time. And trouble seems to follow you like a gnome to a garden. It's the truth," she said, chuckling. "I'm sorry if I hurt you at all. Here, have a biscuit...that isn't covered in broccoli."

"
"I will." said Allie, giving Anna a friendly smile. "Right away."
Reese! thank God, Allie didn't know how much longer she could keep the party a secret with Anna talking to her about common room stuff.
"Hey Reese." said Allie. "How are you?"
"I'm sorry too, Jason." said Allie. "There is no reason for anyone to be that mean to you."
Allie gave Jason a quick hug.
"I hope your back feels better."

Cale chuckled and shook his head. "I take it you're a bit more cheered up if you can joke about revolution," he said with a smile. Now that things had settled down, he sighed and took a bite of his potatoes. Nummy! Now he could enjoy the feast in peace--hopefully.

" I will take a biscuit from you anytime and sorry, too Gwen" Jason told her.

Reese looked up at Cale.Okay.What did she miss?She looked back at Anna and Allie."Was this a bad time for me to come over here?"She raised her eyebrow as she said this.

"Co-princess?Oooo,I love it,"Reese said.She laughed when Anna mentioned the cheesecake incidient at her party."Like I said,Ezra deserved that...and it was funny watching her freak out."She glanced at the Slytherin table and back at Anna."Things are...Slytherinish.Not many interesting things are happening over there.Thought I would come over here for a tiny bit...see all of my best buddies."

"Hey Allie!"Reese said."I'm just dandy.How are you this lovely today?"

Daphne had listened to the Prefect's sermon with flushed cheeks. There were only so many times one could apologize for a misunderstanding. Picking up a dinner roll she buttered it, eyes focused on the job at hand and not at everything else that was going on around her.

Like the random Hufflepuff girl throwing broccoli, or the accusations fluttering in the air. For a moment, she could almost pretend she was back at home having dinner by herself without any interruptions. Yes, it certainly was best to have dinner with yourself. No parents with their incessant questions about friends and future goals and no other students prying into your personal bubble.

In her mind swam the delicate notes of the piano being played not to far away from the dinning room and the scent of Gardenia's that her mother just had to have around the mansion, even when she wasn't home, tickled her nose. However; her reality imploded when it was stabbed through the heart with Jillian's high pitch voice.

Looking away from the dinner roll, Daphne Hopton directed her eyes towards the individuals in question. "The gentleman would be Kingston Wendleworth and the girl is Melina Roscoe," she whispered the last name dubiously, not entirely sold that that was the girl's name. There had been plenty of chatter when she was introducing herself and the girl's timid voice had made it hard to catch over the buzzing of different voices in the Great Hall.

Jillian whipped her head as she heard someone speak her name--a reflex. "Oh, um...it's really great." she said, only really having tasted the pumpkin juice. She reached over though and grabbed the closest finger-food she could get her hands on.

A cookie. She took a bite and..woah! That was some good cookie. The House Elves in Hogwarts were great cooks!

Jillian was still looking at Kingston. He had some sort of regal quality about him. He reminded her of Daphne somehow. Maybe because they both had good posture and the same manner of speaking? "You two related somehow? You and this Kingston person?" she asked curiously. "Something about him kinda reminds me of you."

Then, catching that small hint of...disbelief? in her voice, she added. "You got something against her?"

Miss Hopton's lips parted yet there was no speech to be found. At a loss for an immediate answer, Daphne opted for closing her mouth to at least look decent. Jillian was odd, she concluded as she stared at the girl's face curiosity etched in her own. Her mind definitely worked differently than most humans. Instead of running on neurons and brain cells it was probably charged by cotton candy and artificial coloring.

"No," she answered simply. "Mister Wendleworth's parents and mine know each other that's all." Daphne was still trying to digest her last question and she laughed softly, tilting her head slightly. "I have nothing against Miss...I don't know her."

" Jillian, how about some of my potatoes?" Jason asked her. Jason kept on eating. "Allie, my back feels muchbetter now that you hugged me" Jason told her.

Jillian waited, expecting an answer as Daphne's mouth opened, and yet no words came out. She kept quiet, still waiting for her answer. Then after a moment, the girl finally spoke.

"Oh, I see. So you guys run in the same circle, eh? The etiquette thing and all that." Jillian nodded, showing she understood. She usually looked like some bobblehead figure, frequently nodding; She nodded when she understood something, was finalizing plotting stuff, or thinking of something she agreed with.

"Well then, that makes two of us." she said half-smiling. Jillian didn't socialize much during her first year. She usually hid from everything that came from planet froufrou. Wanting to change the subject, she quickly dove into something that might actually interest Daphne.

"Y'know, me mum went to one of those etiquette classes when she was little. Says tha's where she met me dad." She finished up her cookie before continuing. "Would've enrolled all of us if we hadn't have to move a lot. Only Chuck went through all that. Didn't help much though..." she giggled, thinking of her mischievous eldest sibling.
"Sure, alright. I'll try 'em." Jillian said politely, then scooped up some potatoes onto her plate. "Wow, Jason. You really like the food here, huh?" she asked, looking over at Jason scarfing down almost everything within reach.

"Oh no, this is a fine time, everythings ok now." said Allie. "I am ver excited. this is goignt o be an an amazing year."
"Im glad your feeling better, Jason."said Allie.

"Well,um,that's great...I think,"Reese said."Why are you so excited?Are you keeping something from me?"

Allie scrunched her face in confusion. "No, of course not, I've never been been to Hogwarts, remember?"

"Oh my...I totally forgot about that,"Reese said.She slumped in her seat."Well,I'm going to be the first to give you a tour of this place."She grinned.

"Okay, sounds good," Anna replied. Maybe she should just leave Allie alone for a while. Allie seemed up to something shifty that she wasn't quite ready to share with anyone else. "Well, erm, I'm just going to head on then. I should go see what Cale's up. See you around!"

Anna headed on down the table and let Allie plan whatever it is she had up her sleeve. Hopefully it wasn't anything like setting pixies loose in the Common Room or starting another food fight. Eh, nah. Not Allie.

Anna laughed along with Reese at the co-princess comment. "Slytherinish?" Anna questioned. Hmm...that sounded interesting. "I'll have to head on over there in a little bit. I see two of my friends, Nico and Seth, and I'd like to go say hello again."

"Well, I'm glad you decided to come over!" Anna exclaimed. "We Gryffindors love having you around, that's for sure!"

Now that peace had been restored, Cale finished his meal until he felt like he was going to burst out of his belt. "I'm gonna go talk to Allie," he informed everyone before rising from his chair. He noticed that Daphne had looked a little...uncomfortable during his rant, so he just smiled at her as he passed her. "Don't worry, like I said...just a big misunderstanding. It's over with now and everyone is back to normal."

He hurried over to where Allie was sitting and sat down. "Hey there, you wanted to talk?" he asked.

" Allie, thanks for your concern plus something else" Jason told her.
