Maggie had already eaten all of her chicken and potatoes, now took some more vegetable on her table. She saw, that near to her was sitting Kairi with some girl, unknown for Maggie. She moved her plate nearer to them. "Hi, Kairi,"she said,"how are you? Haven't seen you in the train!" Then she looked at the other girls, smiling,"Hi there, I'm Maggie, first year!" She tried to eat one peas, but was just hounding him across the plate, then took it by her fingers and smiled a little.

Barry slid over to the table what would a feast be without gryfindor freinds? He waved to Allie and Jason but he didn`t stop till he got to Anna "Hey Anna how are you and Cale I keep on missing you where ever I go. I was wondering scince your older and probly have more advanced magic then mine could you um help me with these party hats?" he said showing her the ravie ones he had brought "I want them to be hogwarts party hats so could you know do some magic on them?"

Barry then toook a closer look at Jason he was arguing? Ahh he forgot all about the party hats and stompede over "Jason please tell me this isn`t another fight?" he then looked at the first years and Kingston "Come on Kingston I thought you where Borrs lad what happened here anyway?" He asked the group. He smilled to the younger children they didn`t seem like ones to do anything bad

Nathaniel was so tired. He couldn't wait to get up to the dorm and sleep. He looked around and nobody else seemed to be as tired as he was.

Astrid looked up when she heard Barry's voice. Strangely enough, it looked like he was yelling at someone. Hmmm, that was odd. Barry usually seems so easy going. Astrid thought to herself. She decided to walk on over and see what the matter was.

As she got a little closer, she saw that he was somewhat surrounded by a very unhappy looking crowd. Just what did I miss? she wondered as she fought to keep the curious look off of her face. "Hey Barry! What's going on?" she asked as nonchalantly as possible.

Barry looked up as Astrid walked over "I have no idea what happened I just know that him" he said pointing at Kingston "And him" now pointing at Jason "Were arguing"

Lizzie looked up as the girl talked to Kairi. "Hi, nice to meet you Maggie. I'm a first year as well, my name's Lizzie." She nodded towards Kairi ad continued to Maggie: "Kairi, Rosa and I are getting to know each other." She looked at the girl, she seemed really nice. With a smile she thought of herself a few minutes ago, sitting there all alone, and suddenly she had some friends again! Kairi and Rosa, and this new girl Maggie. And she had spoken to some second year girls as well. Not a bad start, she thought. I have been so afraid to not make any friends at all, but that doesn't seem to be a problem. Feeling happy she got back to reality. "Are you from a wizard family? I'm a muggleborn, so I didn'n know anything about this whole world until just a few weeks ago. What subjects are you looking forward to?" She stopped talking, realising she was babbling again. She could never stop talking when she was excited. That was ner negative side, and it was hard to control. But anyway, she thought. It could have been worse. What if I had been blind like poor Kairi and Rosa?

The serious look on Barry's face struck Astrid as comical and as hard as she tried to hold it back, she laughed right out loud. "Its not polite to point, Barry." she teased.

She then directed her attention to the little group and said, "Well, arguing is no way to invite you to our table. I apologize if my house mates were acting in a way unbecoming of a Gryffindor." she smiled warmly and added, "I'm Astrid, by the way, and this is Barry."

Maggie wanted to take some rice, but when she raised her hand, all the food dissappeared and in a second there were so mayn sweets Maggie havent seen in her life. She took some cherry cake, and asked Nathaniel who looked little tired. "Hey, Nathan, so, is your family wizarding or is this so new for you as its for me? You know, I'm Muggleborn."she said, smiling.

"I'm Muggleborn too,"she said, happy, that Lizzie was maybe feeling the same,"So I was as surprised like you were, I think." Lizzie looked really nice. "Hmm, I was going through some books, and think Charms and Potions are looking good, but I dont know now,"she added, because she didnt want to look like she is already good in magic, cos she wasn at all,"and I'm really looking forward to Flying,"she said, excited about it,"what about you?"

"Yes but I`m sure pointing is nothing in this situation." said Barry.

"Ah Yes The name is Barry Weasly Third year Ravenclaw. Call me Barry" said Barry he then said "Astrid this is Kingston Whendleworth seventh year Hufflepuff." then he looked at Jason "This is Jason Potter Weasley Fith Year Gryfindor you two havn`t met before have you? And well I don`t know about the two firsties what are you name?" he asked with a smile

"I'm half and half. My dads a wizard and my mum a muggle." he said looking at all the sweets that appeared. "I'm kinda used to the magic stuff. My dads parents are always doing magic when I'm around" he said stuffing his mouth with some food

"Lucky you, you know all about magic then,"Maggie replied,"for me, everything is new, but hope to get used to it soon,"she added, taking a piece of double chocolate mud cake. "So you knew also about the houses, did you? I just heard of Gryffindor on a Diagon Alley, and am glad I got in here,"she said."Your dad was in which house?"

"Oh I know flying sounds fun, but I'm not sure. I've never even seen a broom and what if I just fall of it? Well, I think I'm gonna love transfiguration, so cool it would be if I could turn someone into a pig or something. I know exactly who to turn into a pig..." Lizzie said with a smile. She took some more to eat, and thought again that she had never had anything tasting so good ever before. She looked around the Great Hall, it was magnific, truly a great Hall. The teachers were talking, the students were eating and chatting about summer, getting new friends and finding the old ones. She felt home, felt like a part of something great, a part of something beautiful. She was a part of a big secret. She turned back to Maggie. "Isn't all this.. isn't it just totally..." She couldn't find the right words to describe her feelings, but hopefully Maggie would understand anyway.

"Dad was in Gryffindor." he said with a smiled and leaned towards the girl was whispered "Ever heard of the famous Harry Potter?" he said with a twinkle in his eye.

Raiden was suddenly distracted from this silly farce that was going on by a girl's voice, and then a slightly louder boy's voice. The girl looked about his age; she was smiling at them, and apologizing for what her housemates were doing... But...it wasn't her fault that the older boy was rude. When she introduced herself and the boy, Raiden extended the hand that wasn't on Daphne's shoulder to greet them, his gaze switching from this Astrid girl and Barry person to Daphne Hopton's face, then back again several times. Daphne Hopton seemed very upset, and he didn't want to take his hand away in case it was actually any comfort to her.

"Hello," he said, managing a small smile for them. Glance to Daphne Hopton. Eyes back to Astrid. "I'm Raiden Kururugi... this is Daphne Hopton, she's a second year... and that's Bree right next to her, I think she's a first year like me..." Eyes to Daphne Hopton. Eyes to Barry. He nodded at the older boy. "It's nice to meet you both."

Gaze back to Daphne Hopton. He didn't want her to be upset over anything that was happening here... That Jason boy had gone much too far, upsetting Daphne Hopton like this. He wasn't happy. His new friends weren't being treated nicely at all. How the guy was treating him was the least of his concerns.

"Hmm, I wasn't certain about the brooms too, but some of my new friends told me about, and it just looke amazing,and,"she was talking so quickly, she forgot to breathe,"I had so many dreams about flying, when I was smaller, so I hope, I will make it,"she felt like she knew Lizzie for long time but long time no see too. Lizzie was looking over the Great Hall, and had the expression on her face was how Maggie was exactly feeling. She felt like she fitted in here like puzzle, everything here was like puzzle. Lizzie tried to explain, and Maggie understood."I know what you mean, it's just totally.."she was trying to find the words, but couldnt,she smiled at Lizzie, and then then caught so big paroxysm of laughter, she couldnt stop, she was just laughing and laughing. She really started to like Lizzie, she was so..so..similar.

"So the families are usually in one house, right?"she asked. "Harry Potter? Nah, havent heard of him. Why is he famous?"she asked,"and is he in some history book?"

Astrid giggled again at Barry's response. He never failed to make her laugh. She liked that! "Nice to meet you Kingston, I'm Astrid Deschain, second year Gryffie!" she said with pride. She turned back to Barry and said,"Of course I already know Jason, silly. We all sat together at the Kafe Kettle last year, remember? I was there with Via and Lucas." she said. She let out a small sigh. Even saying his name made her miss him. Where was Lucas anyway? She didn't see him once on the train. As hard as it was to admit, she was getting a little worried about him.

Shaking off that thought, Astrid fought to bring her attention back to the hand that was being offered to her. She shook it happily and remembered back to when she first arrived at Belle's, she must have shook like a thousands hands. She was happy to see him smile slightly and hoped that she had made him feel a little more welcomed. "Well it nice to meet you too Raiden. I remember what its like to be new here." she said. After all, it was just last year.

Barry smiled "Well its nice to meet you Raiden. I wish we had met in better circumstances. And its nice to meet you all" he said "Well um Raiden I want you to do a brave thing for me ok? Can you tell us why Kingston and Jason are arguing?Of cource if you don`t want to its understandable"

Gwen tutted over her potatoes. "I can tell you why they were arguing without even knowing," she said to no one in particular. "Because Jason is a troublemaker and Kingston is...Kingston."

Astrid looked over when she heard Gwen's voice. "Gwen! How are you hun?" she shrieked. "I haven't seen you all summer, how are you?" she asked while she ran over to where she was sitting to give her a huge hug.

Gwen grinned through a mouth full of potatoes. "Hi Astrid," she said, hugging her back. "I saw you in Diagon Alley, but you didn't see me. All you could see was-" she put her hands over her heart theatrically and swooned, "Jean Raoul. Allie was not amused. "

Barry watch Astrid run off to her freind already he said "Um Gwen? please I`m not asking that I`m asking how did this fight get started "

Astrid blushed and then lost it again. She was laughing so much today, my goodness she missed these people. Spending the summer at home alone with the folks was nothing compared to this. "Hahaha Gwen. Is that right?!" she teased. "I think you forget to mention Nicholai Toussaint and Samuel Ventimiglia as well." she whispered with a little wink. "Can I help it if I have good taste?" she added.

"What happened?" Gwen asked, interested. "Were wands drawn? Did anyone lose an eyebrow?"

"There are MORE?" she asked cheekily. "Tell me about them!"

"Have you met Max Parks, by the way?" she asked furtively.

"I don`t know what happened I want to find out thats why I asked duh" said Barry then he turned back to Raiden as the girls trailed off

When Gwen made the "wand" comment, Astrid giggled again. My word! she thought. I have got to get control of this giggle fit I'm having. She leaned in closer to Gwen so that she could whisper in her ear and said, "It would take all day, I'll have to fill you in when we get to the Common Room." Then she scanned the Great Hall subconsciously and said, "Max Parks, huh?! Do tell!"
