Diana badly wanted to take DADA classes.Someone had told her that the classes were accepted in the Headmistress' office.She panted,as she went up to the gargoyle.She pulled up a chair and waited.

The gargoyle peered down at the girl. "You may go up. Be careful on the stairs." He jumped to the side, revealing the staircase.

Raiden stopped in front of the large gargoyle and stared in fascination; it was taller than him. Then again... he was pretty short to begin with. He glanced around, noting that there were no other students around, and sighed. No chance to make new friends while waiting to give the Headmistress his mother's letter. He sank into a seat, resigned to waiting, all alone. The letter was in his hands; he wanted to open it, to see what his mother had written, but... he was sure that she would somehow figure out that he had opened it before giving it to the Headmistress. She'd told him not to... he would just have to wait to see. The first year boy fidgeted nervously in his seat. Patience... not a strong point for him.

Diana watched in awe as the huge Gargoyle leapt aside.She almost jumped out of her skin,when it spoke to her.She mumbled a word of gratitude,and climbed up the stairs carefully,as the gargoyle had advised her to,and the next moment,she was facing the Headmistress' office.

Sneeze went over to the gargoyle. He was hoping to get into DADA classes. He sat down and opened his book.

"Whoever is next?" The gargoyle looked around. "You there... Slytherin boy. You are next." He stood aside for the boy.

"Er, ah..." Raiden stood up quickly and almost fell over with excitement. Quickly, he stepped up to the gargoyle, and with one free hand he tapped the side of the stone face gently, as if he could hurt it if he touched any harder. "Thank you very much, Mr. Gargoyle!"

He stepped past the stone statue and made his way up to Headmistress Rae's Office.

Sneeze watched the Slytherin first year walk unto the stairs. Sneeze hoped that he could get up there soon.

Kayla stood by the gargoyle entrance and leant up against the wall, while she waited for Professor Rae to call her in.

Camira was out of breath as she got there. She saw Kayla and walked over. "Don't worry, Kayla. I'll be sure to make sure the Headmistress knows it was all my fault."

Kayla looked at Camira in surprise. "Are you sure you want people to know that you're helping out a Puff?" she asked slightly amused.

"Thanks Camira, means a lot by the way. Next time I think I'll go with truth." She really hadn't meant any harm but sometimes she acted before she thought about the consequences...story of her life.

Annamaria walked purposefully towards the gargoyle that guarded the headmistresses office, excited and yet also the tiniest bit apprehensive at being on her first official Ministry assignment outside of the Ministry itself. Either way, she was determined to do her job thoroughly and perfectly, if possibly.

She smiled confidently at a few students that were there and she stopped just in front of the gargoyle statue, her lavender robes swishing around her as she did. " I'm here to see Headmistress Cassandra Rae," She said to it, remembering the statue from her time at Hogwarts. " Oh that's right...there's usually a password," She said to herself. " Is it...licorice wand? Something like that?" She said, looking up at the stature expectantly as she pushed a bit of her red hair out of her eyes with the end of her wand.

"I'm not much for sweets," Rae emerged from the gargoyle and waved at the students who were waiting. She'd heard there was a crowd down here, but she hadn't known just how much it was growing. "You're not a student. Can I help you?"

Camira snorted. "Nah. I'll just tell anyone who asks that you're really a Slytherin who had a bad accident with some poly juice potion", she said jokingly.

"I doubt we'll be playing anymore after this", she said seriously. "I can't believe he got so mad. Personally, I think he should feel flattered that he was chosen", she said haughtily. On the inside, she was quite nervous. Surely Headmistress Rae wouldn't expel them, would she?

Oh my goodness. The headmistress was there. Oh, please let this end well for us, she thought to herself.

Kayla actually giggled. "You have an answer for everything, Yaxley" she only hoped her answers were good enough for the Headmistress.

Speaking of which there she was now, Kayla stood up straight against the wall and looked at her nervously and she gave Camira a fleeting horrified glance.

Annamaria stepped back as the gargoyle moved suddenly, and then there was a woman in it's stead. She assumed it was the Headmistress, and she was right when she heard the authoritative tone the woman held.

Sticking her hand out and smiling brightly, Annamaria introduced herself. " My name is Annamaria Purcell, Department of Magical Education. I've been sent by the Ministry to ask you a few questions. "She said in a friendly, yet businesslike manner. She looked around at the small crowd of students, but figured that now was as good a time as any to ask her questions. " Well, I suppose I'll get right to it." She said briskly and with a quick smile. " What is the status, if any of the...Hogwarts Treasure that your students informed the Ministry of during the last school term?" She asked, and then she waited for her answer, her gaze trained confidently on the Headmistresses.

Rae smiled warmly and shook the woman's hand, although her smile faded around the edges at the question. Oh dear, Brennan was impatient already? "I'm afraid we've only just settled in the school and no one has started to seek the treasure. We'll get around to it when lessons and such permit."

Annamaria arched a brow a little as Headmistress Rae's smile faded and she nodded at the answer she was given. It was a disappointment, so she decided to make an attempt to glean a bit more information. " That's understandable. The beginning of term is quite a busy time of year," She said with understanding. " I've got a few more questions, but would it be alright if we discussed more in your office? I'm sure it won't take very long." She spoke confidently still; If she could get into the office, she might discover what the Minister wanted to know. It was slightly odd though, being sent on such a...different task by the Minister himself.

"Did he tell you I had the treasure hidden under my desk?" Rae laughed delightedly and opened the Gargoyle for the other woman to enter. "You are welcome. I can assure you there is nothing hidden in my office."

Annamaria laughed, even though she was quite impressed with how quickly Headmistress Rae caught on. Well, she didn't get to be Headmistress for nothing now did she? Annamaria thought with a little quirk of her eyebrow. " Oh no, nothing like that." She said as the other woman opened the entrance for her. " Thank you, and I'm certain you don't. That would be the first place anyone would look, wouldn't it?" She said, and then she began thinking on how she would put the Minister's advice to work as she stepped into the office.

The gargoyle cleared his throat and peered at the students remaining. "She will see whoever is next." He stood to the side.

Gah! It was there turn. She turned to Kayla. "Should we go in together? I s'pose so. It would be easier to understand what happened that way, right?" Oh goodness. She was officially freaking out. Her hands were shaking and it felt like she couldn't get enough air. Her heart was pounding in her chest. Great, she thought to herself, I'm either going to get expelled or I'm going to have a heart attack and die.

Sneeze got up, he had been waiting for a good while. He went behind the gargoyle and hed up to the Headmistresses Office.

"Calm down Camira, it's not our turn yet" Kayla pointed to the younger Gryffindor boy who had just got up. "He was before us" she tried to sound reassuring but it felt as though a thousand butterflies had been let loose in her stomach. What if they got into serious trouble? She thought Camira would probably be alright, she only named the dare it was she Kayla who actually went and did it, she could have backed out of it at anytime but she didn't.
