Rapunzel felt horrible about the sneezing, naturally, and not just physically terrible. Blinking through her squinty eyes, she could see Dominic hovering just in front of her, completely covered head-to-toe with her snot.

Well that just did it - forget the flying final, Rapunzel was about to start laughing harder than she ever had, including that one time she heard a fwooper sing. "HAHAHAHAHAAAaaaaaaaaaa, hooo hooo heee hahahahahahaha," she choked out, just barely managing to hold on to her broom. "You...snot....HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Punz couldn't hold on much longer - she started laughing again and this time she actually did fall off her broom, just barely managing to hold on by doing the Starfish and Stick keeper move.

At last she remembered that oh yeah, this is a final; I guess I'd better get back on my broom..... Punz flipped herself back on and decided to breathe only through her mouth, that way her allergies wouldn't flare up again.

Hopefully.

She shook her head at Dominic just one more time and then turned her attention back to the hoops, zooming quickly to get through one singing daisy before it shrank too small.

Lucas was a little steadier on the broom after the two quidditch games he played in and he was glad that he would have a chance to show this off. The first flying lesson he had went to he had fallen off his broom more times than he cared to mention to anyone. He looked around and everyone else flying through the hoops and he waited his turn. After The Ironpuff when through he gathered up his courage to go through the first hoop and he was going to make it. Like a javelin he shot through the first hoop. "Yes!" He said turning to make it through the second one just the same.

But this hope had other plans and it moved to the right when Lucas tried to fly through it. He looked around bewildered. He saw the hoop floating innocently above his head as if it had been there the whole time. He gritted his teeth and flew up to go thought the hoop and he made it, well he thought he did. The hoop had shrunk around him ad now he was stuck!!

"Help!" he squealed twisting in the constricting hoop. This wasn't fair, no one else was getting stuck! And he was a seeker for Merlin's sake. What was the meaning of this. He reached out and grabbed the end of a passing broom and he popped free. The ground came up too fast for his liking and he cringing at the sound his bones were going to make when he fell. But like the last flying lesson he bounced till finally he came to a stop beside his broom.

He took a few deep breaths and got back up on his broom. He made 4 passes through 2 hoops and was getting pretty good at it till the singing started! He covered his ears and his eyes almost crossed as he gazed at the hoops that were singing, and not very good if you asked him. "Oh bother" He said as he sailed through one of the singing daises. The noise left his teeth chattering as their voices wormed their way into his head.

This singing was completely and utterly AWFUL. Cifford had a right mind to cover his ears with his hands and fly without holding on. He wasn't keen on falling to his death though and instead tried to focus on what it was he was doing rather than the high-pitched squeaky voices.

Flowers and squeaky voices.. this was now like a worst nightmare.

Giving a thumbs up to little Lucas as he zoomed past, Clifford noticed one of the daisies growing bigger and looped-the-looped right through it. Hey, he wanted to give Professor Vindictus a good show!

Astrid blinked when she suddenly saw the daisies before her. But the singing immediately made her think of her ridiculous behavior during the Fwooper song episode and a smile stretched over her face, helping her to keep her focus.

She watched as some of her friends made there way through the daisies hoops and at last it was her turn. She took a deep breath and started towards the first hoop. Even with the distraction of the screeching singing voices, Astrid shot through the first hoop with graceful ease. "Woohoo!" she cheered, looking determinedly at the next hoop. Just as she was closing in on it, the hoop shot up in the air, causing Astrid to miss it. She stopped in midair and waited to see if it would return. When it didn't, she circled the pitch, increasing her height gradually until she was once again aligned with the hoop and then steered herself through.

Astrid examined the remaining moving hoops before approaching each one in turn. It was slow going with them jumping around the pitch but in the end, she had managed every one.

This was... insane. Raiden could handle hoops, but shocking hoops? Giant cookies weren't really a problem either, but now they were singing daisies and this was really no fun at all. He bit his lip as he stopped in front of one of the hoops for just a moment and reached his arm forward to make sure he could still pass through the giant face. Immediately the stupid hoop shot downward, dragging his arm with it.

"Ooooh!" Raiden half-shouted as he slid off the broom, one hand determinedly clutching the handle as it stayed where it was. "Nonononono!"

Shaking his arm away from the singing hoop, which was beginning to give him a headache, Raiden grabbed onto the broom with both hands and pulled... pulled... he had to get back up! One of his hands slid down to the tail and he managed to pull it down; the broom started moving farther up into the air, quickly, but Raiden had gotten it into a position that he could climb back on, which he did promptly, his little face red.

Gotta give the Professor points for creativity, he thought. Even if it is brutal creativity.

Nancy quickly grabbed one of the school brooms and pushed herself off the ground with one strong kick of her feet. Oh, it felt so good to feel the wind in her hair again but why did they have to use schoolbrooms? They were schoolbrooms for crying out loud? Why weren't they allowed to use their own? A huge grin spread across her face at the thought of her broomstick which was safely stored next to her bed in the dormitory. She needed to concentrate, though. This was the Flying Class Final, after all. Eep.

Clearing her head of all the distracting images Nancy's eyes flashed towards the hoops which currently looked like daisies. Wait, daisies?! What the heck? Flying a little bit closer Nancy noticed the daisies even had faces? What was this?! And this noise was simply unbearable. Suppressing the urge to let go of her broomstick to cover her ears Nancy bit her lip and concentrated on keeping her broom steady while flying through the hoops. This was going to be a hard exam.

Without warning, the hoops vanish and a whistle blows.

"Good job! Now I want to see each of you land. Same place where we started," Vindictus said loudly from his comfy chair in the stands.

Rapunzel was halfway through the last daisyhoop when all of a sudden, it disappeared and she could BREATHE again!

"Huh?" Punz blinked and remained hovering in that same spot until she heard Vindictus' whistle. "Oh, right." She nodded at his instructions and then zoomed her broom down into a fancy little dive, waaay down til she leveled out and then came to a slow stop at the start line.

Rapunzel dismounted gracefully and then stood next to her broom, waiting for more instructions.

Clifford was certain he'd managed to get round most of the daisy/hoops, but was on his way through another when they suddenly vanished.. that was good, those daisies with faces and the squeaky singing were beginning to frighten him.

Following the instructions of Professor Vindictus' voice, Clifford turned in the air and headed back to the starting area. Landing neatly on the pitch, he dismounted his broomstick and waited for their next task.

If that was the first one, he didn't even want to imagine what Professor Vindictus had up his sleeve for the next one.

Cale had just flown through the last hoop--daisy, whatever it was--and landed on the ground swiftly where they had started. He wondered what the next challenge would be, since this one had been slightly difficult to begin with. He hopped off his broom and held it at his side, waiting patiently for further instructions.

As soon as Astrid heard the Professor's instruction to land, she steered her broom back towards the starting line. Landing was far from her strong point and she inwardly cursed herself for not taking Allie up on her offer to practice with her. Sighing in anticipation for a fall, Astrid leaned forward and started to lower her broom slowly, leveling out as she approached her destination. Her landing wasn't nearly as graceful as she would have liked, but she was on the ground and not on her back so she would call it a success. She dismounted her broom on slightly unsteady legs and hoped that the next set of instructions would present far less of a challenge. Why did she have to be so afraid of flying? she thought, shaking her head slowly.

Just as Anna was about to fly through yet another hoop, it suddenly vanished right before her very eyes. She blinked and came to a stop mid-dash. She looked around, trying to figure out just what was going on, when she noticed that all the hoops had vanished and a whistle was blowing. This was her signal to stop the exercise and make a landing.

At Professor Vindictus' words, Anna maneuvered her broom around and made her way safely to the ground. Broomstick in hand, Anna headed back to the area they'd started from and waited for the next set of directions.

Chris spun his broom around and landed softly on the ground and waited for the next instructions

Miranda was zooming towards another hoop, this one was was going in a circle. Hmmm She wondered how to best approach this.

She wasnt sure she could move at the same speed as the ring, but deciding to take a chance, she flew faster towards the target. Here goes nothing!

As she was closing in on the ring, Miranda closed her eyes firmly expecting to crash into the hoop. "EEEeeeeep" she flew and flew but felt nothing. Hmmm, that was...easy... There was a whistle in the distance, but Miranda was too concentrated on hitting the solid matter.
Frowning, she opened her eyes to see the rings had all dissapeared!

Oh my goodness, the insanity had ended!
Breathing out, Miranda grinned. This was pretty fun for a final, she was really glad the Professor had let them fly instead of sitting in a classroom.

Hearing the Professors instructions, she took it easy as she flew back to the starting line. Miranda was pretty content with her efforts.

Miranda hovered over the grass and slowly descended gently onto the green field. "Good job broom" she said jokingly to the broom, patting it. Dismounting, Miranda waited for further instructions, holding her broom firmly in her hand.

"Now that you're all warmed up, its time to give you a challenge. Whenever you're flying, you never know what's going to happen," Vindictus said. "You have to react quickly. Step up to the start line and on my whistle, I'd like for you to race each other around the Pitch. If someone slows down and gets in your way . . . just don't hold on to their tail twigs or else you'll be disqualified. Oh, and no jinxes or hexing either. Ready? Good!" He blew his whistle and sat back to watch.


Task 2
Thinking Fast on a Broomstick

Chris kicked off the ground as hard as possible he took off ahead of some of the others.

Daphne kicked off the ground as hard as possible. She had little doubt that this would be her strong suit. After all, she was a seeker. She leaned forward, tucking in to be the most aerodynamic she could be, and started zooming around the pitch. Through the wind, she kept her eyes peeled for anything Professor Vindictus could throw at them.

Becca smirked as Vindictus explained the next task. Piece of cake. She couldn't fly that well, but she knew she was fast. She lined up on the line with the rest of the students. Tweeet! The moment she heard the whistle sound, she kicked off hard, leaned forward, and zoomed off. She sped past a few of the other students easily. "I could so be a Seeker," she scoffed, easily moving past others with her small build. So now she wondered, where was her competition?

With the words "race" still ringing in her ears, Astrid looked over at Allie with a mischievous smile on her face and said. "Alright Johnson, Let's do this." And then she mounted her broom and kicked off hard, zooming up into the air with fierce determination, while her fear took a backseat. Astrid did love a challenge.

Allie laughed at Astrid's challenge. astrid never went near a broom if she could help it, so this shouldn't be too hard.
"Oh its on." she said, mounting her broom, and kicking off as hard as she could. She flew into the air, and passed Astrid quickly, mockingly waving at her as she passed by.

Anna listened carefully as Professor Vindictus explained the next set of directions. She nodded at his words and then stepped up to the start line. She waited patiently for the sound of the whistle, and when she finally heard it, she darted off into the sky. At first, she was off to a really good start, but when Astrid Deschain suddenly got a little too close to her, Anna had to slow down a bit and maneuver around a few people in order to get back into the race.

In no time, Anna was back into the race, zooming around the pitch in an attempt to beat her friends and fellow classmates. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Cale Newell zoomed right in front of her, blocking her from going any further. Anna frowned at her boyfriend and then looked quickly to the left side---Melinda Black. Sighing, Anna darted her eyes to the right side---Dominic Denton. There was no way out! She was sandwiched!!! Unless... Thinking fast, Anna dropped just enough to get herself out of the sandwich of flyers, and then she darted off and flew in front of them all. She was once again back into the race!

Chris saw as anna zoomed a little ahead of him he pulled tighter to his broom and pulled up by her and then ahead .

Cale hopped up on his broom once again and took off. As a Chaser, he had to be fast and think on his feet, even if it wasn't as much as a Seeker. Smirking, he passed the first few couple of people before reaching Anna. He grinned over at her and pushed a curl out of his face.

"Betcha a Keeper can't overtake a Chaser!" he called before sticking out his tongue and darting off, nearly running into Chris in the process.

Just as Anna had flown ahead of the little group that had sandwiched her in, Cale caught up with her once again. Huh? Where did he come from? Must be his Chaser skills working overtime and helping him out a lot. Determined to fly faster than her boyfriend, Anna leaned down, preparing herself to dart off once again. Before she could do that, though, Cale was calling out his challenge to her and then sealing the deal by sticking his tongue out. Anna's jaw dropped, and she gave him a "How dare you?" look before dashing off in an attempt to catch up.

She'd show him! Sure, they were a couple, but Anna and Cale were both very competitive people by nature, and Anna was about to show Cale just who was boss in this relationship. In a matter of seconds, Anna was flying neck and neck with Cale. She slowed down long enough to smirk and stick her own tongue out, and then she darted off right in front of him.

Out of nowhere, a gigantic Jack-in-the-Box appears. It blocks the path of all fliers. The clown bounces back and forth, laughing at the students.
