Vanessa smiled as Hugo agreed and she looked at the Professor to await furthor instructions. "Experlliarmus is the disarming charm. It is used to knock the weapon out of opponents hand." She spoke as she raised her hand

Demetria raised her hand. "Expelliarmus is a spell to disarm your opponent." she said confidently.

Astrid raised her hand and said, "Sir, Expelliarmus is a disarming spell and is used to knock the weapon out of the opponent's hand."

Anna raised her hand to reply. "Expelliarmus causes your opponent to be disarmed. For example, if your opponent were holding a wand, and you casted Expelliarmus, they would pretty much lose their wand," she said.

"Expelliarmus is a disarming spell and is used to knock the weapon out of the opponent's hand," said the girl with her hand in the air.

Laylee raised her hand.
"Expeliarmus is a defensive spell that knocks your opponents wand from their hand!" Laylee said. "And if with enough force, can knock your opponenet to the ground." She said, and then lowered her hand.

Cale raised his hand. "Expelliarimus is a disarming charm. It causes your opponents wand to fly out of their hand, basically, and can come in very handy during intense battles or duels." he explained.

Still without a partner Nancy looked around the classroom to see if anyone else was feeling the same way. "Uhm...anyone else without a partner?" She asked noone in particular raising her hand a bit.
Towards the professor she said, "Expelliarmus? It should disarm your opponent, right?" Meanwhile she kept on glancing around the room in search for someone who would pair up with her.

Lizzie raised a hand at the professor's question. It's a spell that makes the opponent lose his wand... it was a lame explanation, but she didn't know any better words for it. To Demetria she whispered Let's talk later, I don't wanna lose any house point, ok? With a smile to Demetria she turned back to the professor.

"Professor, Expelliarmus disarms your opponent," she answered, raising her hand. She looked around the room once again and spotted another person without a partner. "Er, I don;t have a partner..." she said to the girl.

Kairi raised her hand, "Expelliarmus is a disarming spell, that causes your opponent's wand to fly out of their hand,"
Kairi sighed and looked blankly around the classroom, she didn't have a partner, and wasn't expecting to get one.

From her spot next to Laylee, Maura raised her hand. "Expelliarmus is a spell that disarms your opponent, usually knocking their wand out of their hand. It's a good spell to know, especially in dueling and battle."

Maura noticed suddenly that Laylee was partnerless. She smiled at her friend. "Want to be partners?" she whispered.

Noticing a girl walking towards her a smile flashed across Nancy's face. "Great. I'm Nancy. So, wanna be partners?" Okay, stupid question, but whatever. Waiting for further instructions from the professor Nancy absentmindly started playing with her wand in her hands turning it round and round and round between her fingers.

Laylee turned when she heard a very familiar voice answer the question. It was Maura of course!
Laylee smiled and did a little jump, excitement thing. "Hey! I didnt know you would be in this class!" She said. "Of course I want to be partners!" Well, Laylees wish came true! She wasnt partnered with a stranger at all, she was partnered with her best friend!

Caleum noticed three Hufflepuff's speak up first then the rest of the class chimed in. But there was one that spoke correctly. "It's not only the wand but the weapon that is disarmed when casting this spell," he said making sure that everyone understood the correct answer to his question. "Three points for Hufflepuff," he said nodding towards Vanessa as she was the first with the correct answer.

"With this spell," he pulled out his wand making sure that everyone knew the correct way to use this spell. "Cale, come up here for a moment," he said as he wanted to show the class the proper way since there were first years in the class.

Caleum was just about to ask the class when he noticed that the young lady finally found a partner. "Great! Thank you."

Lucas looked around and it seemed as if everyone had a partner already. He didn't know anyone except Cale and Anna and they already had partners. He turned his attention back to the teacher. He could practice by himself.

Cale blinked. HIM? Come up to the front? Gah, Myers was gonna embarrass him, wasn't he? That would evidently happen, since Myers was probably gonna have him demonstrate, and with Cale's luck, this usually never went as planned. "Sure thing Professor," he said with a small smile as he stepped up to the front.

"Of course I'm in this class!" Maura whispered back. "Good! I didn't want to be partnered with someone I didn't know!" She would much rather Disarm someone who wouldn't get mad. Not like Laylee would get mad anyway, but one could never be sure. Maura smiled to herself and turned her attention back to the teacher. She smiled at the Hufflepuff who had answered right, and looked back towards the professor again.

Mari looked around , trying to find someone she knew and not finding much success. She then spotted Elizabeth with quite the same panic stricken look on her face and she walked up to her, quietly and quickly so she wouldn't disturb the class. She gave her a quick smile. " Partners?" She whispered, crossing her arms in front of herself.

Elizabeth, still without a partner, tried to hide a smile as the professor called Cale up to assist him. If it went anything like some of the previous classes, she was sure this was going to be an interesting demonstration.

To be honest, she had almost forgotten she was supposed to be looking for a partner, in her excitement about learning defensive spells. Or getting more practice on them, since having Jonathan at home had made her knowledgable in most basic spells. That was what older brothers was for, wasn't it? To teach their younger siblings to defend themselves? And then Mari had come up next to her, and as the other Ravenclaw spoke, she jumped a little. "Mari!," she exclaimed in a whisper. "You startled me. But sure. Partners. Hopefully we won't cause too much damage," she teased lightly.

Anna bit her bottom lip to supress a giggle. Of course it would be Cale called up to go and do a demonstration...or...something. He was usually good at that type of thing, even if he did have a clumsy moment or two...or three or four or five...every once in a while. As Cale walked to the front of the room, Anna squeezed her way through a few students standing around here and there, hoping to get a better view of whatever it was her boyfriend was about to do.

Miranda looked around, she saw that Nancy was in here and, without a partner!
"Nancy!" Miranda whispered "Wanna be partners?" she asked hoping the professor wouldnt get mad and deduct points Oh please not again

Laylee smiled. "Great!" She said, lower now that class had started. "I didnt either! I thought I might get partnered with someone... strange." Laylee said grinning, guessing Maura would know what kind of people she ment.

Kairi fiddled with her wand absent-mindedly and awaited the professor and Cale's demonstration. She didn't have a partner, but she didn't mind, one's ok but two's better.

Ahh she had been right, that was good and it gave Vanessa a little bit of self confidence. She watched as the gryffindor prefect was called forward to help in a demonstration. She twisted a strand of her hair around her finger as she awaited the demonstration to begin, at least everyone would know what to do.
