Hugo inched away from Vannie, already regretting his decision to partner with her. It would just be an excuse for her to cast spells on him. Sniffle. He grinned as Cale was called up for a demonstration, and watched. He needed to pay attention. His father had said that although expelliarmous was simple, it was also a crucial spell to know.
Especially when duelling people you hated. Hehe.

Kairi felt Lizzie walk over to her, and couldn't help a small smile from appearing on her face, "Yeah, thanks Duke," she whispered back, making room so Lizzie could sit down next to her.
She watched the demonstration and would have probably been impressed if she could actually see it, but that was the thing with expelliarmus, it had no vibrations.

Mina's attention was suddenly caught by the Gryffindor boy as he made his way towards the professor. Now, this would be interesting. A student being allowed to cast a spell on the teacher? It wasn't just wanting to know how to cast it properly that had her paying most of her attention to it, it was also the amazement at a student being able to take part in a physical demonstration such as this.

Laylee watched as the model student Cale cast the spell on the Professor. Laylee was so used to this spell. It was very useful to her and everyone when defending themselves. She got her wand out of her pocket as Cale was successful. They would be practicing now.

"Now before you begin practicing with your partner, are there any questions?" He wanted to make sure that everyone understood before they began. "Remember to allow your wrist to swish and flick and state the spell properly or it will not work correctly, just as Mr. Newell demonstrated."
