Hannah took a seat next to Allie on the floor.

"Glad to hear your summer was good," Anna commented, overhearing what Hannah had just said to Astrid. "My summer was actually really good, too. I most hung out at Ca--....," she trailed off, though. She'd have to work on stopping herself from saying things like that. He wasn't her boyfriend anymore. She had no reason to mention him in casual conversation.

"Oh, erm, I....," Anna started, but paused to collect her thoughts. Did she really want to bring this up now? No, not now. Maybe later. Not now while he was in this very room.

Anna blinked and two stray tears came trickling down her cheeks. She widened her eyes and willed herself not to cry. She'd do that later when no one else was around to hear. "I, erm, don't know if I can talk right now, Allie. I'm really sorry."

"Sorry, Lex," Anna said, giving her an apologetic look. "I didn't mean for it to come across as yelling. I was just a little loud, because I was so startled over the whole situation. Daphne will get used to TK...I, erm, hope. No worries."

Daphne listened to the girls prattle on about their summer and other things that Hopton wasn't quite interested in at the moment. Having a hard time breathing she continued to fondle her own robes until she her nimble fingers tumbled across her asthma pump. As she pulled it out of her robes' pocket, Daphne nodded at the dog's owner (what had Anna shouted out? TK? Although perhaps she was just calling the mutt...) accepting her apology wordlessly then proceeding to shake the pump before squeezing and inhaling once.

"It's quite alright," lied Daphne to Anna, TK and the rest of the girls who were listening, casting the canine a dubious glance filled with suspicion and disdain. "I just wasn't expecting it..."

As if anyone would expect a sudden vicious attack from a mongrel. "Dogs and I--we're not on good terms."

Sort of like Capulets and the Montagues.

Allie nodded, and got up and gave Anna a hug. "It's okay Anna, I understand. We can talk when your ready."
She glanced over at Cale.
"And Maybe in the girl dorms, where it is more private."
She really wanted to cheer Anna up. She hoped that that surprise party she was planning would cheer her up...one that she would need a new distraction for. Oh Well, it shouldn't be that har dto find one, and anything to help Anna.

Astrid just stood up and turned her back for a second. She was furious with Mr. Cale Newell and did NOT want Anna to see it all over her face. She could feel the nails of her right hand cutting into her palm and realized that her hands were balled into fists. She took a few deep breathes and tried to erase the image of what she had just seen from her mind. Tears! She really did loathe him right now.

When Astrid finally felt composed, she turned back towards Anna and threw her arms around her. "Whenever you're ready to talk. We will be right here." she said very seriously. She couldn't say anymore without losing control again, so instead she let Anna go and scooped up her things. She looked at Allie and said, "I'm going upstairs, I'll see you in a bit." she couldn't help but glare at Cale on her way up. Get a grip Astrid, she kept telling herself. She didn't want to make this any worse by doing something stupid.

Anna watched in confusion while Daphne proceeded to pull some...something or another...from her robes and inhale it. Was that an asthma pump? Oh, noes! Had TK nearly caused Daphne to have an asthma attack? As prefect, Anna would have to keep an extra eye on Daphne to make sure her asthma stayed under control.

"Well, as long as you're alright," Anna replied, although she was sure Daphne wasn't really telling the entire truth. "Well, we'll just make sure you and TK stay on opposite ends of the Common Room, won't we then?" Anna directed Daphne back to the windowsill. "Here, why don't we hop right on back up here?"

Anna nodded, knowing that clearly Allie had understood that Anna had been thinking about Cale when she mentioned looking for Allie and friends earlier. "Tonight...in the dorm room, for sure" she whispered. What Anna really needed was a good cheering up. Who knew what it would take to cheer her up at this point, though. Ugh, and just when her birthday was coming up. What a nice birthday this would end up being. Psh.

That was when Anna felt someone grab her tight into a hug, and without even looking to see who it was, Anna flung her arms around the other Gryffindor, as well. Soon afterwards, she heard the sound of Astrid's voice, and a small smile crept up on her face. "Thanks so much, Astrid. I'm sorry I'm such a mess right now. I'm trying really hard, though. Really, I am." She released Astrid from the hug and swiped away a few more tears that had made their way down her cheeks. Ugh. Tears. "We'll talk tonight, okay?" Anna asked. watching Astrid walk out of the room and up the stairs.

OOC: Going to bed. Night, all!

Happy that the feast was finally over, Fred walks in the common room pretty much in the same mood as he always have been. Not happy nor bad, just bored with pretty much anything that was around him. His eyes were searching for something in the room but unfortunately he couldn't spot it. "Where is that catastrophy on four legs," he was mumbling under his breath so that nobody could hear him.

Since he didn't found what he was looking for, he walks toward one corner of the common room, the opposite of where most of the other students were and sat there. He just needed a minute of quietness but he wasn't ready to go in the dorm just yet.

Kairi walked into the common room, happy that the feast was finally over. She couldn't wait to go up to the dormitories and let her head hit her pillow. She rubbed her weary eyes, and walked blindly towards the stairs, not even bothering to look at the common room, she'd have plenty of time to do that later, when she was well rested and didn't feel so tired. Kairi yawned, and then started up the stairs that lead to the girl's dormitories.

Via walked into the common room. There she found some of her friends, Astrid, Allie and Anna and the others. It's a little bit odd to see boys now at the Common room when in fact last term had been pure girls. She waved at them and mouthed 'Hi' and she smiled.

She was really tired she had been so busy talking and eating at the great hall. She wanted to sleep, but, she didn't want to miss another night of fun now that their back at school. And to think that they were in Hogwarts already, Via flipped her dirty blonde hair and went over to the window. She took a deep breath as she gazed outside. She's at Hogwarts now, not at BElle's. She decided to check the dormitories, for she was a little bit excited about her new poster bed. Too weird, Via didn't flopped herself at a couch, she headed straight to the girl's dormitories. But as she was about to take the first step up, she decided she still doesn't want to go there ans still wants to spend the time some other place. She turned back and made her way out again although she had just entered the common room. Just as she was about to leave she saw Anna being hugged by Astrid, I think Anna has a problem, she thought. She also saw out of the corner of her eye that Astrid went up the dormitory. She'll make it up when she gets back and she went out of the common room.

Lizzie spotted Maggie, Shaylee and Hayden in the armchairs, and hurried towards them. "Hi again!" She said with a smile. "Isn't this place amazing?! I love it already. Do you know how the dormitories are shared? There are different ones for boys and girls, I suppose?" she said, looking around at her new friends. She really wanted to share room with the ones she knew, even though it would be nice to share with all the girls.. Or at least all the first year girls, since she hadn't spoken to all the older ones, yet. Erica felt lika a safe choice, they became friends at the train already. And Maggie was very nice, they had been talking a lot during dinner. And Kairi as well, they had discussed blindness alot. But Hayden, Shaylee and Rosa also seemed very nice, so she couldn't really decide. And who knew, maybe they didn't decide that for themselves anyway? She looked around for Erica, whom she had lost in the crowd.

With a yawn Lizzie looked around, should she get upstairs? Probably, before falling asleep right here in the common room.

As Erica entered the Gryffindor common room, quite exhausted she saw that several people had already made it comfortable for themsleves. Scanning the room she saw Shaylee and Maggie from the opening feast sitting around one of the fireplaces in comfy armchairs. Moving towards them she saw also saw Kairi not too far off and Lizzie.

It was pretty damp in the common room so it was hard to make out all the faces. The people she passed going further into the room was probably all a lot older than her. Erica stopped infront of the little gathering saying "Hey, everyone! Have they made any announcements about classes, rules or where we are going to sleep yet?" Hearing Lizzie's comment she murmured "Yes, you're probably right about the dorms being gender separated. Do you think its separated in years too?" Seeing an empty armchair a little to the side Erica sat down in it, fearing that if she didn't then she would fall asleep standing.

Via sneaked inside the common room and up the girls dormitory. She feels tired and she needs rest now. More happenings again awaits them. She rubbed her eyes as she look around but didn't have time to chat coz she was really preoccupied with only one thing. Sleep.

Lizzie smiled at Erica as she joined them. Sitting on the arm of Shaylee's chair, she didn't realise there was an empty chair. Erica had sat down in it, and Lizzie looked at her, pretending to be angry "Oh damn it, I wanted that chair!!" She smiled at Erica "It's okey, I think we should head upstairs any minute anyway." After a second she turned to Erica again. "Do you know who you wanna share room with? I don't think they've said anything about it, so we can probably choose for ourselves. Do you wanna get upstairs? I'm almost sleeping, aren't you tired?" She nodded at the stairs and looked at Erica again, still smiling.

Rosa stepped into the common room at least completely winded, Luna at her feet. The school was like a maze and didn't have a clue how she was going to get anywhere. For a moment she had thought she would never make it up to the Gryffindor common room. With all the stairs and have Luna stop her when one moved. The thought of falling was a nightmare. "Fifteen steps, right, right...um...seventh flights," she murmured to herself trying to remember which way she had went to get here so that it was stored perfectly in her memory. "Or was it thirteen steps."

Rosa groaned because she had forgotten most of the way. She knew that Luna and Star would never let her walk somewhere that wasn't safe, but it was crucial that she mapped her own way around the school as well or she would be in some big trouble.

Her brain was to tired to think anymore. She just wanted to rest and try again tomorrow and making sure she knew her way around the school. It was such a pain not being able to see, but it was how it was and she accepted that. Turning her attention to the common room, having been still standing by the portrait hole she took a few slower steps into the room. Her brownish-green eyes unfocused as she turned her head listening to want was going on in the room. Not to many people she recognized. Luna purred at her feet, before trotting a head of her owner. Tail swinging high as she meowed to direct Rosa.

It was impossible. She was use to very spacious places, but this room was to cluttered. She could feel it and the chatter made it hard to concentrate on where she was going. Rosa hit her foot, not hard, but the object had taken her by surprise. She ran her hand gently along the top and realized her was a chair. She sighed, lowering her head.

As Lizzie lookeda round for a second, she spotted Rosa, alone in a corner. She seemed a bit unsure what to do, and being blind and all it couldn't be easy to make a way though the crowd. Caring as she was, she hurried towards Rosa. "You're okey?" She asked. "I lost most of the girls in the crowd as we headed upstairs. Did you manage to find your way?" Troubled, she watched the girl. "Do you want some help? Should we get upstairs? Come here." She grabbed Rosa's arm and helped her though the common room. They reached the stairs. "You wanna get to bed? Well I do anyway.." she said with a yawn.

Erica looked up at Lizzie with a raised eyebrow asking in a yawn "What? Umm, if you wanted the chair then why didn't you take it?" She was too tired to think straight and missed Lizzie's whole point. Yawning Erica sat up straight in the chair and tried to collect her thoughts. Smiling tiredly at Lizzie she said "Yes, i want to share a room with you. If there is room for Maggie, Shaylee and Kairi, Rosa and Hayden, then i wouldn't mind sharing with them too. But is the dorms really big enough for 7 people?"

Erica sat for a moment looking dreamily into the lit fireplace thinking about the events of the day. Shrugging she asked "Lizzie, don't you think our new head of house will hold a speech or are we really free to go to bed?" Looking around the faces in the common room she figured that she could ask one of the older students or one of the house prefects. Anna and Cale she remembered their names to be, but she had no idea what they looked like. Remembering something she looking up at Lizzie asking "Some time in the next few days would you mind accompaning me to the hospital wing? I need to get a big bump on my head checked out by the school nurse."

Lizzie noticed Erica didn't get the joke, but decided not to discuss in any more. Instead she got up and looked around. "I don't think there will be any speech, people are too tired for listening right now. Why don't we head upstairs?" She looked around and spotted Kairi and Via heading upstairs. "Look, there are people leaving the room, I think we should too. At least I will, or I'll fall asleep anyway" she smiled. Realising Erica had said something about going to the hospital wing, she nodded. "Of course. Just tell me when and I'll come with you. Actually I'm a bit curious at it myself.."

ooc: The girls and boys dormitories (forums) are open, so I think it's okey to go to bed. So I'll go there, wanna join?

Rosa turned her face up when she heard Lizzie. "Yeah. I'm fine I guess," she said softly. Not completely sure if she was. If she got this place down it would be a miracle. "I lots everyone. Its hard to get around when there's a lot of people sometimes because I can't hear Luna. It took forever getting up the stairs. My hands hurt from clinging to the banister so hard," she said holding out her hands that were red.

She muttered a small smile when Lizzie offered her some help. Feeling the girls arm slip around hers. "Yeah. I can barely function. I tipped out my seat at the feast and fell because I was so tired."

"Yeah, I noticed you fell" Lizzie said, but friendly, not teasing or anything. "I hope you're okey. Just tell me if there's anything I can do to help you." She looked at Rosa's hands, and shook her head. "You poor girl, why didn't you ask someone to wait, or at least to help you?" Feeling a bit guilty, she added "Sorry if I didn't wait, but I had no possibility too, I was dragged with the crowd and I just followed."

Erica nodded said "Yes, i know what you mean. I'm quite exhausted myself." Rising from the comfy chair which she did reluctantly, she continued "Lets go to the dorm before we all fall asleep in the common room. If the head of house has something important to say then we can hear about it tomorrow." Following Lizzie to the stairs up to the girls dorms she said simply "Thanks!" Deciding that she could tell Lizzie about her hospital fears at a later time.

occ: Okay, i'm coming with you.

Lizzie decided to get upstairs even if the others stayed, her eyes just wouldn't stay open much longer. Tired, she climbed the stairs.

"I was more shocked that I fell than hurt," she replied, glad that no one has laughed at her when it happen or she would have been embarrassed. "I don't want to be a burden on anyone and not everyone can tell that I'm blind." Only because she tried hard to make it look like she wasn't most of the time. "Don't worry its alright. I got up here safely," Rosa added. Still holding onto Lizzie's arm she let her lead her up to the girls dorm. Luna trotting a head of them.

Lizzie helped Rosa upstairs. "You're not a burden to anyone here, You're a friend." She smiled at Rosa, before reminding herself the girl couldn't see it. Instead, she continued talking as they climbed the stairs...

Shaylee saw lizzie and Erica come over to the armchairs where she was sitting and saidit is amazing here! its so incredible and i absolutely love it!! about the dorms, i really have no idea. Maby they'll post something up? Shaylee said smiling. She really hoped that they all shared a dorm it would be so much fun to get to no some new girls and she couldn't wait.

"Defiantly." Allie whispered back.

"So.." said Allie, back in her normal voice. She wanted to change the suject, and quickly.
"....how about these curtains!" sh said tugging on one. "These are really nice, I mean, just feel how silky they feel!"
