"Nothing much at the moment. How are you?" she greeted Chris. When he had the nerve to make books float over her head she said "Chris Potter you had better not let those books fall on my head!" even though she knew he wouldn't let her get hurt in any way if he could prevent it. "I think your professor will definately find that impressive." Chalice said once the books were safely back on the table where tey belong.

Kairi sat, curled up, on an armchair, her used-to-be-purple but now more a greeny-grey fixed on the setting sun that could just be seen over the horizon. She fiddled with her wand absent-mindedly and her feet twitched inside her converses, she yawned and rubbed her eyes, the orange glow of the disappearing sun casting a shadow over her face.

Chris was happy to see him and Chalice were warming up to each other. "Aww its nothing, your making me blush." he said with a smile.

Chris came over and sat down with kairi

Kairi felt Chris' vibrations get closer, "Hey, Chris," she said with a small smile.

Kairi looked at him and gave him a small smile, "Family problems, don't worry," she said, her eyes averting his face.

She looked at him, her eyes searching his face, "My mum..." She looked away from his face and back at the disappearing sun that was dying the clouds a light purple, "My mum died of kidney cancer this morning, Miko, my neighbor, just sent me an owl with the news," she said, looking down at her feet.

Chris felt horibble "Oh Kairi im so sorry." he reached out and grabbed her by the shoulders and brought her into a hug.

Kairi hugged him back, and said quietly, "You're a great friend, Chris,"

"Yeah i know he said you too." Chris was happy she said that but his heart also tugged the for some reason

She gave him a small smile, "Thanks," she said quietly. Her heart tugged once again, as she looked at his face, her eyes steady.

Bree entered the common room. She sighed and sat down heavily letting her bag fall to her feet. She closed her eyes willing herself to fall asleep. She was so tired.

Demetria gasped as he opened up the suitcase. "Amazing!" she said to him. She got closer to the sutcase to look inside. The only other person she had met who could do such things was her uncle, but still this was awesome. "I don't think I'll be buying anything soon." she giggled. "But I'd love to see your inventions when you finish them if its ok with you."

"Sorry to make you blush in front of your cronies." Chalice joked. In truth she was really happy to have a guy friend who was in Gryffindor.

"so what have you been up to Chalice?'

Kairi looked away from chris, she couldn't look at him any longer, her heart tugged too much. She thought of Edward, she liked Chris but it was all getting too complicated. She had agreed to go to Madame Pudifoots with Edward, which technically meant they were going out. But everytime she looked at Chris, her heart tugged, like it wanted to be with him. She looked back at her feet, Chris had gone and started to talk to someone else, she looked back at him for one second and her heart tugged like hell. She looked away and back at the disappearing sun, her thoughts mixed up and confused.

The ones that are in there are finished. And I always can't start a tab for you. I'm trying to get some students to start to see these and buy, but it's hard when there's so many students." Sneeze said this, but he didn't mean to make her feel bad. For any reason.

"I've been in the dueling arena with James and Liz, oh and I went to the hospital wing with Liz when she got cursed. And I got a letter from my friend Roxxy." Chalice said to her friend. "What have you been up to?"

Addie walked over to a girl who was sitting in a chair with her eyes closed. She silently hoped that the girl wasn't falling asleep or just really annoyed with something. She brushed a chunk of chocolatey brown hair out of her eyes and said, "Hi there! I'm Addie. Are you a first year too?"

"Homework for Muggle Studies, Astronomy, Charms you know homework." He laughed

"Yeah, I know homework. Is that girl you were talking to earlier okay? She seemed really sad." Chalice said to Chris

"yeah she's good it was kind of personal."

''Oh, well, if you see her again will you tell her I hope she feels better? Please." she said. " I haven't seen you around much so far. You haven't even been to the dueling arena."
