Chris stood up and started singing for Gryffindor too.

He smiled as he stood by astrid and Anna

Zaria laughed heartily as she saw the various reactions around the room. Seems she had a class that was particularly affected by the birds song. She knew she herself would start to get loopy after a few hours of the song, and thought that nobody should ever have to see her under its influence. Waving her wand the sound of the bird cut off mid warble. "Ahh, that was fantastic. 10 points to all the houses!"

She turned to the girl with surprise. "No, it is certainly not illegal," she replied still chuckling. "The birds are sold with charms already on them, and you require a license to own one. But whether or how much you chose to use the charm is completely up to you. It takes a very extended period of exposure to cause any real damage, and many people enjoy the song and its effects if any. But like I said, some people won't have any reaction at all, or it will take a long time to develop. Just a few minutes is completely harmless I assure you."

Zaria eyed the girl curiously before nodding her consent. "Of course you may." Turning to face the class she said, "don't worry, the effects will disappear in a couple of minutes, though you may feel happy for the rest of the day now. By all means feel free to examine the bird if you would like to. You may remove the charm again as long as you have the consent of those around you. And if you have any questions at all, please shout them out."

She walked up to the board and began to write:

Cale watched in amazement as everyone started going insane around him. What was with everyone? He, on the other hand, felt completely normal, until he noticed that everyone was focused on someone other than him. It angered him, and he couldn't believe that everyone was so completely selfish that they weren't giving him the least bit of attention! How RUDE!

"Hey, why isn't anyone talking about kissing meeeeeeeee?" he whined, stomping his foot in annoyance. "I'm the pretty one! Look at these curls? And my dashing smile? How come you aren't paying attention to meeeeeeeeee?" he asked in annoyance, pouting out his lower lip as no one seemed to be listening to him.

That was when he heard Astrid singing, and suddenly everything was ok again. "I love this song!" he said with excitement, jumping up and down and finally going into some of his infamous air guitar moves. He chuckled and started twirling on foot until he found himself stumbling and falling forward, crashing right into Astrid in the process. But rather than apologize, he just chuckled absentmindedly.

Jillian let herself be pulled by Astrid. "Y'know, Astrid, I dun really like people interruptin' me while I'm singing me heart out, but since it's you, I'll let it slip!" she said, still giggling like a maniac.

Jillian then found herself standing in front of everyone else with other Gryffindors, then Astrid began to sing. "Oooh! I know this song!" Jillian exclaimed." Her body began to sway from side to side, her foot tapping along with the beat. Anna had began singing, which made Jillian even more jumpy and hyper. Then, she decided to sing along, and bust a move as well.

Evolette couldn't get Nicholai out of her brain. Even the song of the Fwooper paled in comparison to her own voice repeating his name over and over and over.

When the little blonde girl ran off to the front of the class to sing with a bunch of Evolette twirled around in her seat, her blue eyes searching out for Nicholai. "Nico!" she called, "Nicholai Toussaint!"

She jumped out of her seat, pushing through the crowds of Gryffindors who were still singing about something or other, as she searched the classroom for Nicholai. "Where are yoooooooooou?" she called out, giggling, "There's no use in hiding from me, I will find you!"

Her ears perked when she heard Cale shouting, "Oh silly. I've kissed you already." she said, waving him off as she continued her search.

Astrid was laughing again, this time at Chris and Cale for deciding to join in. "I would have pulled you up here too guys, but I thought you hex me for it." She teased. "Yay!! Go Gryffindors! 10 points." she said, beaming at Professor Dainsie. "Thanks Ma'am. Wanna sing with us? You are the Head of our House after all!" she pleaded. Just then, Astrid was knocked to the floor by Cale. Instead of screaming, she looked over at him and started to slap the ground laughing. "Thanks Cale! But I think it was Allie's turn." she said, jokingly trying to get up off the ground. Giving up, Astrid just stayed on the floor, giggling madly.

Kayla watched both Evolette and Astrid going on about kissing Nicholai and she honestly didn't know whether to laugh or throw a fit. Deciding it might be best to go and stop Evolette from doing something stupid, she got up from her chair and grabbed the girl by the shoulder.

"He's not here Evolette" Kayla said quietly. "How about we go and see if we can find him." Although Kayla was still a little annoyed with McKenna for snitching on her in the bathroom, even she wouldn't be so mean as to let the girl wander around the school proclaiming her love for Nico.

Rapunzel was still thoroughly enjoying rolling on the floor with tears on her face when suddenly, the bird's song stopped. She blinked and sat up from the floor, wiping a smudge of dirt off her nose as she looked around in confusion. Half the class seemed to be chanting or singing or something, and a few students looked angry.

Weird.

Punz shook her head to clear her mind and climbed back up onto her stool. She jotted down the homework and then had to take a closer look at that fwooper. Such a hilarious animal.

"Professor, do you know how much they cost, by any chance?" she asked as innocently as possible. My grandparents could certainly use one of those...heheh....maybe then they'll lighten up!

It seemed that Evolette's mood had changed at a break neck speed, she was no longer moody and glaring, shouting at everyone in the room, now she was giddy and giggling like a little fool.

As Kayla walked up to her, Evolette smiled, throwing her arms around the girls neck. "KAYLA!" she squealed happily, "I'm sorry that I ratted you out to the Intern." For some reason she was speaking rather loud. "I was just-" She tripped over her own feet and burst out in giggles again, "Trelawney scares me!" she added, still keeping a bright smile.

OH! Kayla was talking about Nicholai! Maybe she knew where he was. "Yes!" she decided firmly, "We should find him because when we do, I am going to kiss him." Yup It was true. Her eyes glanced around the room and then shot back to Kayla, "Oh! No worries you can kiss him too! Plenty to go around you know."

Too late. Melinda did listen to the Professor letting her go and she could see the assignment board, but that was all she could see before she fell into a deep sleep, a faint in the middle of the door towards the outside. She was out of breath, nothing could wake her up, nothing.

One minute she had her hand on Evolette's shoulder and the next thing she knew the girl's arms were around her. "It's quite alright McKenna" Kayla said as she tried to distangle herself from the girls embrace and now she was tripping over. Kayla rolled her eyes at the older girl and tried very hard to keep a straight face. "Yes she can be scary, you just need to know how to handle her" she hoisted Evolette back to her feet.

"Uh-huh" Kayla replied nodding her head as she starting pull McKenna along. "Yes I'm quite sure there is but you know been there done that" she smirked, this was going to be very interesting indeed.

She said solemnly, "no one should ever have to hear me sing. It would be a cruel and unusual punishment." As if to confirm her statement, the Phoenix in the rafters gave a soft hoot and ruffled her feathers. She eyed the bird. "But by all means, continue your singing if you wish. The fwooper would join in I'm sure."

She considered for a second. "Well like I said, you need a licence. But prices vary on the age and colour as well so it's hard to say. Between 20-30 galleons would be my guess."

Zaria started as a student seemed to faint mid stride. She hurried over to the girl. "Opps, emotions must have been too much. No problem, I'll have her right in a jiffy. Arienh!" The bird disappeared in a puff of dust.

As soon as she heard his name again, Astrid found her footing and sprung up off of the ground, running over to the two girls. "Nico!" she said, nodding. "Yes! Let's FIND him. Then we call ALL kiss him." she agreed. "Can I go first?" she asked, innocently. "I've wanted to for such an awful long time." Then out of the corner of her eye, she saw Mel crumple to the floor.
She ran over to her and went to her knees beside her. "Mel?" she called out to her. "Melly WAKE up, honey please!" she pleaded. She looked around at the other students and said, "Something's wrong with Melinda. Someone help me! She should go see Miss Trelawney! She's a wonderful healer and will know just what to do."

Kayla looked up at the sound of Astrid's voice and this time she couldn't help but laugh. "Sure Astrid why not" she replied. Oh the look on Toussaint's face when she starting bring girls up to him to kiss him, was going to be very interesting indeed. It was funny how this didn't seem to bother her but if it was Mari then that would probably be different. "Okay girls, lets go and find him."

"OOOhh is it my turn again?" she said. She tried to help Adtrid up, but ended up on the floor giggling just as much as she was.

Cale stomped his foot again. "STOP talking about Nico! You should all be fawning over me. Me me me me MEEEEEE!" he complained. Why was everyone so obsessed with Nico? Or, better yet, why did he care so much? "Why aren't you talking about how amazing I am? I'm the prefect!"

That was when he noticed that Melinda had fainted, and Astrid was talking about taking her to the hospital wing. He grinned and chuckled, falling down to the ground where Melinda lay. "Yes, that's right! Trelawney is brillianttttttt! Absolutely brilliant! She can fix anything! She'll know what to do! She's sooooo amazing! We should go visit her right now!" he said in excitment. He turned to Anna and waved her over. "Anna! Let's go visit Trelawney!"

Suddenly, and still giggling loudly, Anna jumped up on one of the tables spread throughout the room. She cleared her throat loudly and proceeded to attempt to get the attention of everyone under the tent. "Excuse me!!! Excuse me, everyone!" she called out. "I have an announcement to make!" Noticing Allie Johnson still carrying on nearby, Anna reached over and tapped the young Gryffindor on the shoulder a few times with her wand. "Johnson! Everyone! I have an announcement to make!!!"

"Okay, so, I'd just like to let everyone know that I have the frippin' best boyfriend in the entire world! I mean, just look at him! Can you not get any better than that?" she asked, waving her arms in Cale's direction. "Those curls, that voice, those sideburns!" She giggled again and then ended her little announcement by blowing a kiss in Cale's direction. When she stopped, she could hear him asking her if she'd like to go see Intern Trelawney in the Hospital Wing. "Hmmm, well, okay! Toodles, everyone!" she called out, then raised her arms high and jumped off the table right into Cale's arms.

Professor Dainsie raised her voice slightly. "Hold up now, everything is under control. Healer Trelawney will be with us momentarily, I have sent a message with Arienh. Just try and remain calm," she chuckled. "Gee, if I knew the effects of Fwooper song would make you all so entertaining I'd have done it long ago."

Cassandra followed the Phoenix to... a classroom? "Professor Dainsie? You... Called?"

She smiled wanly. "Yes, I'm sorry about that, but it was the fastest manner in which I could contact you. I couldn't leave these students here unattended, nor could I send them to you in their current state. We have a student here who seems to have collapsed." She motioned to the Ravenclaw student on the ground.

As soon as Astrid saw Trelawney, her whole face lit up. "Hey Miss Trelawney! It so good to see you. I missed you!" Then she announced to the entire room. "Guys LOOK! Its like the greatest Slytherin to ever go to Hogwarts. HERE. In our class with us! Can you believe that!

Evolette's head snapped around when she heard that blonde girl's voice again. "NO!" she squealed, clinging to Kayla for dear life, "I get the first kiss!"

She broke away from the girls and started walking around them, her face paling when she noticed that Trelawney had entered the classroom, but she was on a mission. She needed to find Nico.

Sneaking around the girls, she peeked around the classroom and without another word, disappeared off, hoping that no one had seen her.

She looked at the girl on the ground. She pointed her wand at her and cast a non verbal ennervate... "What do you mean by their 'State'?" She asked, looking at the students.

Cassandra blinked... then blinked again. "Miss Deschain..." Fangirl much? "It's nice... to see you too-PROFESSOR?" she said turning to the professor. "Elixir to Induce Euphoria? no, wait... this isn't potions..." What animal made you... giddy?

Ennervation coming up! In a long and desperating gasp, Melinda woke up, sitting up and looking around her. Trelawney was there. What??? "I....I...." She gulped and looked at her straight in the eyes. "Th...aaaaaaaa...nks..." She tattered, she was tired, her mind, her whole body was a mess at that moment.

She looked at Astrid and took her hand. Calm down....She thought to her friend's mind.

She smiled widely. "We were looking at Fwooper's today, we listened to the song for a minute or two. It doesn't effect some people at all, some after many hours of exposure, but some react immediately with a state of giggliness, or just a bit of kookiness. Seems this class is particularly easily affected. Not to worry, the effects only last a couple of minutes and they are not harmful. The song itself would not have made anyone faint of that I can assure you."
