Laylee smiled at elf named Beezley and was greatful for the fire burning infront of her. She couldnt help but instantly be in the mood for smores when the elf pooped back to them with a tray full of the supplies. She rubbed her hands together, ready for the professor to tell them to get what they wanted.

Sophie waiting until she saw Beezley running back with the food. She sure was fast! "Thank you Beezley. Would you like to stay for smores?" She offered.

She looked back over to the fire to see a student touch it and run away in fright. Sophie rushed over to her side. "Oh sweetie! Are you ok? You're not burnt because you were wearing fire repelling spay. It stops you from getting burnt, yet you still feel the heat of the fire." Sophie said. "Why don't you grab some stuff and make a smore, it will cheer you up.

"Feel free to make as many smores as you like!" Sophie said out loud to the class.

Jayne grinned "Yum!" she grabbed some marshmallows and Graham crackers "This is gonna be nice!" she placed them together and put them over the fire "Thanks professor" she mumbled through a mouthful of marshmallowy Graham cracker

Laylee excitedly stood from her seat next to the fire and got smores supplies! "Thank you Beezley!" She said to the sweet elf. Laylee roasted her marshmellow till it was on fire. She let it burn for a couple seconds, then she blew it out. She put her chocolate on the gram, then smeared her burnt marshmellow on top of it, closing it up with anoth gram. Laylee took a bite and smiled. "Mmmm! Thanks professor!" She said, taking another bite.

Patricia answered, "Yes, Maam" and lowered her eyes to the ground. She hadn't dealt properly with the firecrab and was in no mood for food. She sat on the rock, waiting for people to eat their snacks. Maybe she had imagined the burn, but she hadn't imagined the failed attempt at the conjuring spell. Oh well, she thought listlessly, at least the firecrab hadn't been an adult.

Schweet, we're making Magic S'mores! Punz beamed at the little house elf and accepted some marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. "Thank you, Miss Beezley and Miss Brooks," she said politely. Thanking people for free food was like a duh to Punzel.

She started by toasting her marshmallow over the fire, using Wingardium Leviosa to hover the tasty treat and get it browned evenly all around. Sooo much easier than the Muggle method with sticks and such. Then Punz stuck the soft 'shallow on a cracker, with the chocolate on top, and then another cracker.

"Mmm, deeeelishus!"

Mariel had no idea what smores were but the Hufflepuff captain certainly seemed to be excited about it. Mariel watched with interest as the cute little house elf came out, and her face brightened at the sound of the word 'chocolate.' Anything with chocolate was sure to be good, right? But what was she supposed to do with this stuff, she wondered as the house elf left then came back with chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Glancing furtively around at the other students to watch what they were doing, she mimicked their actions by levitating the marshmallow over the fire till slightly browned then sandwiched it with the chocolate between the graham crackers. A Muggle invention, she determined, since she had never heard of it. And for once, she thought as she took a delicious bite, this one wasn't so strange.

She could get used to this. This was almost worth braving the bitter cold and handling dangerous creatures known for shooting fire. This should be a regular occurence in CoMC.

"This is WAY cooler than stabbing marshmallows with dirty sticks and trying to jam this stuff together!" Hannah said, recalling... er, "fun" camping trips she'd taken with her family when she was younger. She still laughed every time she remembered the look on her older brother Zeke's face when he made the perfect one and then accidentally dropped it into her campfire. And then she felt a little mean, but mostly not 'cause it was really funny "Thank you, Beezley. Thanks, professor," Hannah said through a mouthful of gooey, marshmallowy goodness.

Anna giggled softly as a cute little house elf approached. She always got excited when the elves showed up, because she never got to see them too often. Maybe she should start taking a trip down to the kitchens every now and then. When she noticed what the little elf, Beezley she thought she'd heard him called, brought with him, Anna smiled at the elf in appreciation.

Anna's face lit up and she sat up straight and tall when she heard that they would be making smores. This class was just made of awesome! Anna headed over to grab some graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate bars and then set to work making her smores. "Thanks, Professor!" she called out.

Smores? Lisa thought.She had never herad of them before.Lisa observed the other girls and copied what they were doing. She went to get some graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars and started on her smores."Thank you Beezley. Thanks, professor," she called out on her way back.She took a bite cautiously when she was finished making them, not quite sure what to expect. They seemed to taste familiar, hey! She remebered how her mum used to make these, and smiled feeling warm inside at the thought of her mother.It tasted delicious!She thanked the professor again and enjoyed her smores.

Torie raised her hand. "Out of curiousity, Professor, will this fire-repelling spray work on anything? Like if I sprayed it on my wand, could I use my wand to toast a marshmellow?"

"You're very welcome!" Sophie smiled at the many thanks.


Sophie turned to see Patricia sitting along on the rock. With a fresh smore in her hand, Sophie walked over to the girl. "Don't worry about it. We can go over it later it you want." She said quietly, offering the smore. "But for now, lets just enjoy these smores.


"Hmmmmmm" Sophie said with a shifty smile. "I suppose it would work."

"Make sure you all get some smores before they run out. I'll be handing out homework soon."

Astrid was just finishing up her first s'more and ready to make another one when she looked down and frowned at the marshmallow stickiness that was now on her fingers. Where was Nico when you needed him, she thought with a smile. Then she looked up and said, "Professor, thank you so much. This whole class has really been such a treat."

Jayne grinned and grabbed some chocolate, she shoved it in her mouth, she liked lessons where she was allowed to eat

Jenn smiled and squished the mashmellow and chocolate and graham together and took a bite. MMMMmmmm. It was delicious. She turned to the professor. "Thank you sooo much."she said happily.

Once Sophie was all smored out she decided it was time for homework. "Ok class, once you are finished you may copy down the homework, then you are free to leave."

CoMC Homework 2

Prepare an essay about anything to do with fire crabs. What they are? What they look like? Where they are from? How to care for them? Anything at all you find is interesting and if you liked studying them. You may include suggestions of animals you wish to study about for future classes. (20 points)
