Sophie nodded, "You may, Dominic. Just step up to the fire and cast your spell."

Ah ... overconfidence setting in, the fourth year casually twirled his wand between his fingertips at his side, before stepping closer to the fire. Spell in mind, reciting 'aguamenti' over several times, Dominic raised his wand and waved it casually. It was after all a quite basic spell for the fourteen year old Hufflepuff. "Aguamenti," he murmured, a gentle stream emerging from the ash wand. Once the water stopped, he turned away to allow the next person their chance at extinguishing the fire.

Mariel watched as Dominic Book Hater stepped in front of the fire and cast casually cast aguamenti to extinguish the flames. That looks easy enough, she thought as she shrugged. Wishing to get this part over with and quickly move on to the next part of the lesson, Mariel stepped forward, pointed her wand at the flames, and commanded "Aguamenti." Satisfied with the stream of water emerging from her wand, she stepped aside to allow the next person to take a turn.

Anna stepped up to the fire, smirking at Dominic for the way he twirled his wand before beginning. Anna raised her wand and then took a deep breath. This couldn't be too hard...right? I mean, it s Aquamenti she'd be working with...and she is, after all, a fifth year. It shouldn't be too difficult. She'd just never worked with a fire-crab before, so only time would tell how she'd do. "Aquamenti!" she exclaimed, watching with amusement as the water shot from her wand. Anna smiled at her work, put her wand down, and the stepped away so someone else could go.

"Very good Dominic!" Sophie called, "Now who is next? Come on don't be shy! Give it a go."

Melinda smiled at the demonstrations both her classmates, Anna and Dominic did, but, of course, she had to give the boy the smirk...of 'overconfidence' he had at that moment.

She slowly stepped in, wand in hand. She was warm enough now, thanks to that old remedy of her foster mum of squeezing the tip of her ears. She flipped her wand and casted the spell, "Aguamenti..." She said clearly and water just tipped from her wand. She smiled, put her wand down and walked away to her seat to let the next student continue the work.

Rapunzel waited for her turn, and then stepped up to the fire. Oooh boy it was warm....maybe those gowns had a use after all.

She smiled and then flicked her wand, barely muttering 'Aguamenti.' She'd been doing that spell for years, and besides, Charms was her strength. Punz waited for a bit of water to calm the flames and then stepped off to the side so the next student could go.

Jayne edged towards the front of the class slowly, she'd been very quiet for the whole lesson, now she was starting to gain confidence, she pulled out her wand and bit her lip waiting for a Hufflepuff to finish "aguamenti" she muttered quietly, the fire went out and she smiled, she ran to the back again

Nancy had been looking forward to Care of Magical Creatures' class for some time and now finally the second lesson was about to start. Weee! With a huge grin plastered across her face Nancy walked up to where the professor and some students were already sitting, ready for the whole thing to start. Listening to Professor Brooks' instructions Nancy walked over to the pile of gowns to select a redish one and then almost bounced back towards her place. She was so excited to attend an interesting class again, after the weird History of Magic class from before. Digging holes?! Oh, whatever...

Carefully pulling on her gown Nancy then put her gloves over her fingers then grabbed the fire-repelling-spray and sprayed until her whole body was hopefully fire-repelling. What would they be doing today? Her question was answered almost immediately by Professor Brooks, though. Fire-crabs. Great. Nancy loved everything that was somehow related to fire. Aaw. But they were in danger? Poor creatures.

The whole thing was becoming more and more interesting. They were able to spit fire? Nancy's eyes started to twinkle in anticipation to finally work with those crabs. Hopefully they would be starting soon. Pulling her wand out of her pocket Nancy gripped it carefully and watched a few students, including Dominic and Mariel, performing the charm on the fire. After some time it was finally Nancy's turn and she took a few steps towards the fire, pointed her wand at it and with the correct wand-movement said, "Aguamenti"
Watching the stream of water that had emerged from her wand extinguishing the fire for some time Nancy stepped back again, to make room for the next person.

Allie watched as everyone went, and slowly made her way to the front. It didn't look that hard. She had learned Aquamenti last year..which was one of the only things she really learned at Belles, and she had mastered the simple spell pretty quickly.
Allie stepped towards the fire, and pointed her wand at it.
"Aquamenti" she said, adn watched the water pour at of her wand, and extinguish the fire.
Smiling to herself, she made her way to the back again, so that the next person could go.

Hmmmm. Miles pondered in his mind. This can't be too difficult. No one else is getting burnt. He may have been scared of a few things, but fire and crabs were fine.

"Aguamenti." Miles spoke, letting the fire extinguish. Woot! He smiled to himself, and moved out of the way for the next person. Fun fun fun.

Baby fire craaaaabs! How adorably cute was that?! Very, and that was why Evangeline bounced excitedly when her turn came. Fun, fun, fun. She only hoped she wouldn't make a fool of herself infront of everybody now. Eh. "Aquamenti!" She firmly said, watching amused as water came out from the tip of her wand. Hehe. When the water stopped, she moved out of the way so that another person could try. EEP! Ickle fire crabs sure were cute.

Torie waited her turn for a chance to water down the flame-loving fire crabs. She got up from her seat, and extracted her wand from the inside pockets with a degree of difficulty as she was so bundled up against the cold. Grasping the wand clumsily due to the protective gloves, she quickly cast the aguamenti spell, directing it towards the heart of the flames. Sure enough, she could vaguely make out the fire crabs, their bright shells gleaming in the flames. 'They really are quite pretty.' she thought to herself, then made her way back to her seat to watch her classmates continue the lesson.

Laylee shivered when it was her turn from habbit. She was actually quite warm by the fire. She stepped up and let the full heat of the blazing fire sink in her robes to her skin and then she cast her spell, dreading the cold she would feel afterward.
"Aguamenti!" Laylee said clearly. Water spouted from her wand. She had to keep reminding herself that she didnt want to fail just to keep the water going. The fire got steadily lower and finally went out. Laylee felt the cold take over imediately. She snorted.
She watched the fire crab crawl around, Laylee saw that it was turning around so its bum faced her. "Oh!" Laylee lifted her wand again and set the spell on the creature. When it was fully extinguised Laylee went back to her seat to watch others.

Astrid was fairly excited to try out the spell. She watched carefully as each of her friends took their turn extinguishing the fire. When it was her turn in line, she stepped up to the fire and pointed her wand at it. She cleared her throat and said, "Aquamenti". She watched happily as water sprang from her wand and put the fire out.

"Excellent work guys!" Sophie said, now that the fire was completely gone and all that was left were fireless baby fire crabs. "In a few moments their fire will return... Has everyone had a turn?" Sophie asked.

"Umm...I haven't had my turn yet Professor,"Lisa said after raising her hand.

Lisa quickly stepped up to the fire and looked at the baby firecrab.It was so adorable! When it turned it's back on her, Lisa yelled out"Aguamenti."The fire was extinguished and Lisa turned to face the Professor.
"I'm done Professor,"Lisa said blushing a little.

"Great job Lisa! Is that everyone?" Sophie called out to the class. "Hmm, Do you still want those smores?"

Laylee looked around at the class. Smores meant starting the fire back up! Laylee was definately up for that! And, of course, she wanted some chocolate!
"Yep!" She said enthusiastically. She shivered a bit.

Ooh s'mores! Punz shivered a little as the fire was gone but still bounced on her toes. "Yes please Miss Professor Ma'am!" She beamed at the teacher, then tiptoed a bit closer to the smoldering ashes, wanting another peep at the turtley creatures. Maybe baby firecrabs like marshmallows...and I could lure one out of the fire and back to my dorm with a 'shallow...they would be such a cute, shiny little pet....hmmm....

Sophie smiled as she re lit the fire. "Smores it is!" She agreed, a bit a sugar was good for the soul. "Beezley!" Sophie called.

In the distance, feet stomping the ground in a slow run could be heard. The sound got closer and closer until finally a little house elf stood alongside Professor Brooks. "Beezley is here, Missus," the little elf said. "What can Beezley do for Missus today?"

"It's good to see you Beezley. I hope all is well." She said, crouching down so she was at her level. "I was hoping that you would bring us back lots of marshmallows, a few bars of chocolate, and Graham crackers. If you don't mind of course!"

Beezley's little face lit up with delight, as it always did, when she was asked to provide a service to the professors and studentsies of Hogwarts. "Oh, Missus! Beezley would be honored to!" Beezley looked around at all the studentsies and grinned widely. She didn't get to see too many studentsies, so it was always a treat to get to serve a class full of them.

Beezley turned back to the professor and gave one last nod before turning and running from the area. She was on her way to get the tasty treats as quickly as her little legs could carry her. Moments passed, and soon, Beezley was back with the treats. "Missus," Beezley said, bowing slightly. "Marshmallows...bars of chocolate...and Graham crackers..."

Patricia tried her hand with the baby fire crab, stepping up and taking her wand out. She aimed at it as fire started to erupt from its derrière, "Aguamenti" she called. But instead of a steady stream of water, she got one spurt, hardly enough to extinguish the fire. She jumped back as the crab backed up towards her, a bit riled by the renewed 'attack' on its bum.

Patricia wasn't fast enough as a fresh flame came out and hit her ankle. "Ouch!" she gasped, and high-tailed it to hide behind a rock. She bent over her foot to see what got burned, feeling the tender and reddened skin. Patricia was irked by the whole thing... she hadn't been taught the Aguamenti spell yet and had used it against her better judgment. She should have practiced it more before going in front of the wretched creature.
