She was shocked. Sophie didn't expect someone to actually guess it. "You're correct. 5 points to Slytherin! We will be studying Clabberts." She said.

"Ok I think it is time to start. Before we do, I'd like to know what you have all studied before. Especially the boys, since I didn't teach you last term.

Anna raised her hand. "Professor, my boy---, erm...ex...erm, boyfriend?...anyway...once told me that the boys studied nifflers in class last year. He even got bit by one," Anna said, shaking her head at the memory of hearing what Cale told her. "And, of course, we studied Abraxans and Gnomes with you."

Astrid raised her hand and said, "Ma'am, last term we went over those gorgeous Abraxans. It was amazing. And also those evil, funny little gnomes." she said with a giggle.

Dominic showed no sign of disappointment when was incorrect; he didn't expect to be able to know what creature it was this woman was referring to. Especially cause women like talking in circles, never giving them the full picture.

Clabberts. He heard of those, but didn't they also dwell in trees and she said grass. Ah, there it goes with the circles again.

Before they started though, the Professor asked the boys what they've studied before. Bwaha, that question was amusing. Raising his hand again, he spoke up, noticing there weren't many boys in the class. "This is my first time officially in school, as I transferred, but at home, i never studied from books or anything. It was more just me observing creatures and their behaviors."

"Erm - well, last term some greedy bloke taught us about Nifflers... but then again, I wouldn't really call that teaching.." Clifford trailed off and scratched his chin thoughtfully.

Well, the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs had learned how to clean stinky cages!

Ross decided that he was going to tell the truth this term so sticking his hand up in the air he said "To be honest miss i did not pay attention in class last year but i will pay attention this year" He said hoping that astrid would not divert his eyes.

"We studied gnomes, and abraxans if I think." said Allie.

Ari didn't answer the question since others had done so already. She knew what she wanted to study, but of course that would have to wait until she was officially out of school. Well, there was that one class a few terms back that really caught her attention. shaking the memory of the giganatic dragon out her her mind she concentrated on the here and now.

Lucas sat on his log excited about his first CoMC class. He was so good at the subject he couldn't wait to get started.

Sophie had meant what had they studied in other years...not last year but that didn't matter now. She shook her hair at the boy's old CoMC professor, they sure had a lot to catch up on. That man was a disgrace.

"So, who can tell me what Clabbert's are?" Sophie asked the class.

"A clabbert is a tree dwelling creature, in appearance of something like a cross between a monkey and a frog," Dominic recalled, after raising his hand.

Anna raised her hand and said, "The clabbert is a magical creature that lives in trees. It looks like a cross between a monkey and a frog. It's has smooth, hairless, green skin, with webbed hands and feet and long arms. It's head has short horns, and it's mouth is full of razor sharp teeth," she said. She thought some more and then added, "They have large pustules in the middle of their forehead, which turns scarlet and flashes when it senses danger."

"Uhm - They're these creature thingymabobs that are sorta a cross between monkey's and frog's, ain't they Miss?" Cliffird tried, hand in the air.

Laylee was sitting on a log with her CoMC text book, a notebook, and a quill. She smiled as the lesson actually began. She had been excited about this class. She had missed in over the summer. She wrote down Clabberts and the few things about them she knew and then waited for the professor to begin.

"You are very right. 5 points to Hufflepuff."

"Yes, you are also correct Anna. 5 points to Gryffindor." She smiled at Anna's detail.

"You all get 2 points each, for answering just like your fellow students have.'

"Like Anna and a few others have mentioned. The clabberts have a pustule on their forehead. This is a fantastic survival tool. Back in the day, witches and Wizards used to hunt these creatures and use them to sense danger for themselves. What affect do you think this has had on clabberts? Feel free to be creative in your answers. I want to know what you think." Sophie said, looking for creativeness.

Ross thought about it for a second the answered "Does it mean that they have been domesticated at a extent but the ones that are still wild will probably fear all wizards"

Lucas raised his hand. "Well I am sure that the poor dears were doubly scared. I mean not only did they have their own fear of being paraded around to sense someone else's fear. They had to deal with someone else's fear. I'm sure they developed complexes about witches and wizards over the years." he said hoping that was the answer she was looking for.

Dominic sighed thoughtfully when the Professor told of how wizards and witches used to hunt clabberts. How depressing!

Hand in the air again, the fourth year spoke of the affect this may have had on the clabberts, even if he thought it was pointless since he could in no way know what Clabberts could be thinking. "Well, naturally we don't actually know the effect this had on Clabberts, but I would think they would be very untrusting of wizards and witches. Perhaps think we're superior."
