Wait what?! They had to partner up? Oh no! This was one part that Dominic was not anticipating. Sighing quietly, his eyes gazed around the class of logs in search of someone who seemed equally as little anxious as he was to meet the creatures. Besides, two students not anxious to meet the clabberts would mean the clabberts would be afraid and then they wouldn't have to do anything at all. Ah, the logic of Dominic Denton... |
Astrid stood up and grabbed Allie's hand. "Partners?" she teased. "Come on, let's go." She walked slowly over to a cute, little clabbert and quietly said, "Hey there honey! HI!" Then she gave it the sweetest smile she could. |

Asteira looked around to see who she all knew in the class. she should really get out more. she looked to see willow without a partner either. She was nice...She would make a good partner. She made her way over to willow as she asked," Hey willow, want to be partners?" |
'Come on guys. I wish you could see your faces." Sophie laughed. "They are not going to eat you. I assure you that they are more frightened of you. Just partner up for now and I’ll walk through looking after the clabberts step by step. How does that sound?" |

"Hey there. Aww, your so cute!" she said, smiling. It was so cute. |

The clabbert Astrid approach, jumped back and hid behind the others. "Woahh..not so fast there, slowly move back and we will try again as a class." Sophie said. |

"Er--sure, thing... " Whatever your name is. Nonchalantly, she shrugged. Wasn't it something related to red? Yeah... Something red. Huh. |

Qaz watched from behind the others...she was more of a cat and dog person...these creatures were a bit...strange.... |

"I-- well," he looked hesitantly around towards the other students, hoping a partnerless male would spring up out of the blue. Too many females. Then he heard the Professor telling them to just partner up, so the fourth year nodded. "Suppose we don't have much a choice, eh?" He gave her the smallest of smiles to show his appreciation and then realized they should probably learn each other's names. "Name's Dominic. Fourth year Hufflepuff. Seeker." he told her, standing up and waiting for further instructions about meeting the clabberts. |

"That's ok. Just remember, being slow is key. And it is best to let the creature come to you." Sophie said, she really should have mentioned that before. "Which pair would like to show the class how it is done?" |

she turned her attention to the teacher as she asked who would like to go first." We will." she told the professor. |

Astrid raised her hand timidly and said, "I would really like to try again, if that's okay with you, ma'am." |

Ella looked around for the partner, not finding anyone successfully, "Professor, Cant we do this without a partner?" she asked, confusingly. May be the professor can help she thought. |
Quote:
Oooh, volunteering. She wanted to raise her hand, but she somehow got the feeling that Dominic wasn’t to keen on the clabberts so she just waited to see who would be picked. |
Dominic looked towards chocolate thrower and back towards the Professor. "We'll demonstrate to the class," he said volunteering them, as he was sure the girl wouldn't mind. Quote:
Dominic was sure he saw the hint of surprise on her face when he said he would. Ah - surprising people was always fun. He chuckled to himself when she commented on his names and then introduced herself as well. "Camira? Well, that's ... suitable as well." He snickered again when she added on potions genius. Someone was conceded, definitely. And it wasn't him.... this time. |

"You'll get another chance, don't worry." Sophie said encouragingly. "Ok, Willow and Asteria. I'd like you to take a few steps closer to the clabberts. Don't move too quickly, and if they move back, take a few steps back. They are not dangerous, however they may run away." Sophie instructed. |

A half smile that did not last long, for as soon as she heard Asteira's offer, her eyes attempted to come out of its orbits. Going first? NOOOO. "What are you doing?!" Willow murmured desperately. She could not go first! It was too late, though. Professor Brooks had heard Asteira. Great. Just great. Not. "Okay, ma'am," said girl in a whisper. Not dangerous? Yeah, right, All animals were dangerous. She was not about to say that, though. Slowly, and looking very hesitant, Willow five steps towards the clabberts and waited for her partner to do the same thing. |
