Anna raised her hand. "Professor Brooks, Lucas is my partner, but if there's no one extra to partner with her, she can just come join our group," Anna said.

she grinned as this was going to be such fun. she loved magical creatures. She turned to see willow looking rather nervious. whooops. Maybe she shouldnt of raised her hand so fast. Oh well. New things were fun. It was obvious by her lack of enthusiasm that she could get out a little more."Nothing.." she told willow as she looked back at the professor." Sure professor." she smiled as she walked to the professor's side.oo this was exciting.

few steps closer, but not to quick. Got it. she slowly started towards the clabberts. Hopefully they wouldnt run away. she was pretty decent with creatures.

Ella nodded, "Yes, Professor," she added, "I wont mind to parterning with you Professor," a smile crept on her face.

Ella's head turned to the voice which sounded so helpful. She smiled at her and waited for the Professor's words.

Sophie was going to partner up with Ella if there was no one else, but this sounded like a better idea. "Ok Anna, that's a lovely idea." She said, turning back to Ella. "Ella, you can go with Anna and Lucus."

One clabbert in particular took one step towards Willow and Asteria. "Good. That's very good. You can now try holding out a hand. They love being pattered. So if all goes well, the clabbert will come right up to you."

And now the animal was making its way towards them. Right. That thing had better not try to sink its teeth on her skin. Bad things would happen--to the clabbert of course. If it decided to bite her, Willow would bite it back.

Riiiiiight. More like running away and screaming like a little girl. Besides, biting an animal sounded pretty disgusting. The germs and all... Ew.

"Are you sure, Professor?" Obviously. If not, she would not have told them to do that. Sighing a heavy sigh before taking a really deep breath, Willow held out a hand, waiting for the beast to attack her.

"Thanks Professor." she said promptly before moved towards the Gryffindor girl and Lucas the boy who she met at the Mirror area. "Hi..I'm Ella, " she shortly introduced herself.

She was quite surprised when Dominic volunteered them. She didn’t mind, of course, but she had gotten the impression that he didn’t care for the clabberts.

What a weird boy, Camira thought to herself. He was being so…amicable. Not to say that she didn’t prefer this side of him. She just wasn’t sure if he was capable of it. And he was chuckling. She stared at him bemusedly. “It does suit me, doesn’t it”, she said mock haughtily.

Oooh. Did the professor just say they loved being petted? “So, do you think we’ll be able to touch one of these clabberts”, she asked excitedly. They were so cute!

Dominic watched as it appeared a certain Willow and Asteria were picked on to go first in demonstrating interaction with the clabberts. Averting his topaz eyes towards the girls, he looked in curiosity to see who they were and if he recognized either of them. A small, but silent gasp was let out as he realized one was Mystery Girl - who looked about ready to die for being chosen to go first.

Now what was her name? Willow or Asteria. It was one of those names, definitely and he would definitely be harassing chatting with her later about that.

He nodded. "Yes that would be nice. The more the merrier." he said with a silly grin on his face. He really needed to lay off the chocolate frogs.

He was happy their little group was getting bigger. He loved making new friends he turned around and saw it was the girl from the Mirror. He giggled as he remember that she had called them the Mirror People

Lucas smiled and waved at Ella. "Hi Ella, remember me?" he asked her excitedly.

Asteira smiled as she was told she could hold her hand out to touch the creature. They love being patted. really what creature didnt. she extended her hand out as she waited to see if it would come closer. Willow best not scare it away. If she did then the clabbert wouldnt be the only thing that was going to bite her. "its not that bad. Just dont move and you'll be fine." she told willow as she then added," If you want i'll just pet the clabbort and you can watch." pansy.

"Hey, Ella," Anna greeted. "I'm Anna Greingoth, and this is Lucas Greenwood." Anna nodded in Lucas' direction and smiled. Her little friend seemed so eager to get to the clabberts. She hoped it would be their turn soon! Anna watched as Asteira and Willow greeted the clabberts. She took mental notes, trying to get herself ready for the time when it would be her her's, Lucas', and Ella's turn to go give it a try.

She just smiled at Willow and nodded. Never seeing someone so afraid of such gentle creatures.

"Yes, you'll all get a turn to pat the clabberts. I would have gotten you to feed them, however I didn't think you'd like the idea of feeding them lizards and birds." Sophie said, not liking the idea of having to find the food either.


Once the girls raised their hands, the clabbert walked right up to them and tilted its head to the side. Clearly curious. "Great work! Now you can pat it. I think that one is a girl." She said, relieved that it all went well.

"Ofcourse I do," she said, gently patted on his little shoulder. "But you should tell me about that Map after the class, right?" she whispered, without interupting the class.

Ella smiled back at her. A true Gryffindor. "Hi Anna,excited about clabberts?" she added, "Yeah I know this enthusiastic boy .." she nodded and watching the two volunteered students. The Clabberts seemed so scared of the little crowd.

Dominic found himself quite amused by the look on Camira's face when he volunteered. Ah even more surprises. It wasn't that he didn't like Clabberts so much as he didn't fathom the idea of touching them. Some creatures were okay, just not these.

He snickered at her mocking and sighed, attempting to focus on Willow and Asteria. "Apparently so," he replied, as the Professor just told the girls they could touch them now. Camira's enthusiasm was almost unbearable.


Then the Professor also answered Camira's question to him about getting a turn to pet the creatures. He frowned when she said they wouldn't get to feed them lizards or birds and raised his hand. "But Professor! Do you think we could feed them lizards, if we wanted to?" Oh yes. Lizards were coollll!!!!!

Had Nikola had been right when he told her that females were always more territorial than males? Willow fervently hoped not. She was about to touch a very dangerous --in her mind-- creature that happened to be a female.

Taking another little step towards the girl Clabbert, the girl bent down, and gently pressed her pinky finger to the animal's skin. If it didn't bite her before, it would sure do it now. She was in a dangerously close distance to it, after all--and on top of that, she was touching it. "Like this, professor?" Say yes, say yes! Don't tell me to get any closer or to hold or anything like that!

"Good Job Willow." asteira told willow as she was afraid of the animal. She did sorta drag her into this after all. it was her own fault though. she shouldnt of been her partner. she saw the clabbert come towards her hand as she grinned." Hey there." she said to the clabbert as she moved to sit on her knees. she reached out to pet its head as it reminded her of a shaggy moving carpet." Can i pick it up professor?" she asked hopeful." im pretty good with creatures." she added.

He bounced happily as she patted his shoulder. "Thats good. I remembered you too." He nodded at her. "Ok I will." he whispered back to her.

Liz looks on looking from way off to the side. Taking notes as Professor Brooks is speaking. Terrified to go near the creatures after her one experience with them, she stays as far as she can away, but close enough to hear what the professor is saying.

"Well....umm. Sure. I don't see why not. Although I haven't got any. If you can find some, then by all means." Sophie replied, hoping that there weren't any around.



"Very good girls. I'm impressed. It is as easy as that. 5 point to each of you." She said proudly. "Pick it up?" Wow she was keen. "I guess you can, but I would wait until you've patted her more."

Sophie turned to the rest of the class, "Ok, you may have a turn now. Once you have gained the trust of your clabbert, I’d like you to pat them and then sketch them. "

Ooooh. He wanted to feed them lizards? Yes! Ok, she knew it wasn't very lady-like, but she had a snake at home and she had fed him mice before and it was so neat seeing him eat them. She hoped the professor said yes.

"Of course I am!" Anna replied, returning the smile Ella had given her. "Professor Brooks always has some of the most interesting classes! So what do you two think about those clabberts? I've never actually seen one in real life until now. Exciting, huh, Lucas?" Anna asked.

"Okay," She smiled at him warmly. Looking at his enthusiasm, she asked, "Shall we move to the Clabbert?" she took his hand, moved near one of the very good looking Clabbert.


Then she had a doubt. "Professor, Shall we name them?" asked, figuring out a good name for the Clabbert.

"yeah, I missed the previous class," She pouted,"Do you have a luck with creatures? I guess I've some," she giggled and moved slowly to the particular good looking Clabbert, without startling it. She stretched out her right hand slowly, touched the creature gently.

"Ok," he said to the professor. He liked drawing.

"She has the best class. I love magical creatures. They look really nice and friendly to me." He told him them both as he held on to Anna's hand. "Oh yes I'm having a lot of fun." he added as he watched the clabberts.

"I think that would be nice." he told her. He smiled when she took his hand. He was holding hands with two girls. His cheeks were blushing at the thought. He moved with them toward the little creatures. They didn't run away from them or anything so they must be doing something right.

"Of course you can name them Ella." Sophie said. "Come on guys, don't be shy to find a clabbert."

Oh, and they got to draw them. Yes, she finally had an excuse to draw in public without getting laughed at. Excellent.

She hoped off her log and gave Dominic a “come on” look, before slowly approaching the clabbert. She made sure to crouch down on the floor so that she didn’t look frightening, towering over it or anything. “Come on. I won’t hurt you. I just want to give you a nice petsy”, she cooed softly to it. If she had time to think about it, she would have been quite embarrassed by her behavior. As it was, she was too excited about petting the clabbert and getting to draw to give it much thought.
