Callie unlocked the door and flipped the lights on, as she paused to take a look around the classroom. "It's good to be home," she said to herself as she waved her wand and conjured up the objects the students would be using for the days lesson.
"I'll leave them right here for now." Callie thought as she bit her lip, smirking at the objects.
"Hmmm . . . actually, maybe it would be more fun for these guys if I made this a surprise." Callie thought, as she waved her wand once more, and conjured a black sheet that softly fluttered down, laying itself atop the objects.
"Much better " Callie laughed as she made herself a spot on the desk to sit down on, and waited for the first students to arrive. | |

Livvy sighed and decided to just do the assignment. She got up and got a water balloon and set it at an empty desk. She flicked her wand and whispered, "Wingardium Leviosa!" The cast worked perfectly fine and Livvy lifted it up over her head. She counted, "1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10!" Livvy grinned but focused on lowering the balloon down safely onto her desk.

Kairi's feet spotted Chris sitting over by himself, her heart tugged, like it always did when she saw him, and she waved, a small smile on her face. Then she reluctantly turned back to her baloon, and managed to levitate it 30cm above the ground for 10 seconds, she noticed Livvy had done it too, "Way to go, Livs," she said with a wink.

Lizzie finally made the balloon rise about 20 cm, stay there for 10 seconds, and get back on the bench very gentle. She felt excitement when she finally did it, she couldn't believe it! She was doing magic!! Waiting for Natka and Nate to answer, she decided to try it again. Soon the balloon was flying over her bench once again.

Jillian, thinking it would be more fun playing pirates, saluted and said "Aye, Cap'n Daphne! Arrrgg!!" she then marched off to fetch them two balloons from the table, whistling Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me--a tune she had heard a little boy sang while they resided in muggle England.
"Here be our booty, Cap'n Daph!" she announced, handing over the balloons.

Allie closed her eyes, preparing herslef for icy cold water, to make contact with her head but it never did. As soon as she heard Astrid tel her she was done, she opened her eyes slowly. There was the water balloon, sitting there on the table un-popped.
She was so relieved, she didn't even notice Astrid smile at Nico, something she would have normally rolled her eye's at.

She her wand at the water balloon, waving her wand like the teacher showed she said, "Wingardium Leviosa" nice, and clearly.
To her surprise, the water balloon floated above Astrid's head.

Then something weird happened, she must have moved hr arm or someting, because the balloon went flying away from the top Astrid's head, and landed on some Ravenclaw's head, by the looks of it, that French boy she had met at the airport.
"Oh I sooooo sorry." said Allie, actually feeling sorry about it, although she did find it amusing too.
She turned back to Astrid.
"So let's try this again."
She pointed her wand at another balloon, and said the incantation. This one barely lasted a second in the air, because she was so nervous that the French boy would come over and kill her, she couldn't concentrate. It landed right on top of Astrids head. She giggled a little bit, as she saw Astrids face scrunch up from the cold water dribbling down her head.
Allie blushed a little bit.
"Sorry..okay I'll get it this time."
And for the third time, she pointed her wand at the balloon, and said, "Wingardium Leviosa" as clearly as possible.
1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8910
She brought the balloon down, carefully putting it back on the table.
"Yay! I did it!" she cheered. "Are you okay, Astrid? The waters not too cold, is it?" Astrid was so excited that she had just executed the charm so perfectly, not to mention, on her very first try, that she didn't have a doubt in her mind that Allie wouldn't do just as well. She didn't even close her eyes. Instead she watched with pride as Allie lifted the balloon above her head. For second year students, they were doing a great!
Well, maybe she spoke to soon..... Astrid could not believe her eyes! Allie had just hit Jean Raoul in the head. Oh no, Allie, she thought. After the run in they had at the start of term, there was NO way in the world that he would believe that was an accident. Astrid just stood there in shock when she saw Allie prepared to try again. Are you serious! She can't possibly want to do that again! she thought. All of the confidence she had, gone with that one popped balloon.
This time she squeezed her eyes shut hard. Not even a whole second passed and SPLAT! Astrid gasped loudly. "Oh! My! God!" She said. "That is so cold!" She look at Allie, standing there giggling and said, "Nice Allie!"
She couldn't help but giggle a little bit herself. How embarrassing this was. She turned to look at Nico and said just one word, HELP!"

Xehanna got her wand out and pointed it at the balloon. "Wingardium Leviosa" the balloon began to rise over her head. she concentrated on the spell and counted. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10. she was lowering the balloon and got excited she had done it when it fell and splashed her. she was almost soaking wet. "oh my gosh!"
Xehanna dried off and did the spell again concetrating all the way to the end nd gently placed it on the desk in front of her.

He watch the ballon up in the air, and stay up there. But then Oh my God. When if fell on Astrid and Allie's faces. He had to try so hard not to start laughing. But he couldn't stop the smile on his face. This was probably not the best time for him to be laughing

Pushing open the Charms classroom door, Alyss almost screamed with annoyance. No way. This couldn't be happening. Not to her! With total irritation, she dropped into a back seat, hoping the teacher was too occupied with everyone elses amuture attempts to make things fly. Why did they have to work in partners anyway? She almost scoffed out loud. But, keeping herself to herself, she pulled the Charms book from her bag and looked down at it, then back up to the students.

Having Nico standing just a few desks away was not helping. The key to staying focused here would be making sure NOT to look at him before she started. She sighed, that would be hard. It was always so hard not to look at him. Hmmm, maybe just a peek. NO! That would be the end of Allie's dry hair for sure. Okay....focus Astrid! She closed her eyes and tried to think of something else, anything else......
Suddenly she had the perfect image. Cale's wet hair. Haha, that was priceless. Okay, that's better, enough stalling.
She took a few steps back, cleared her throat and pointed her wand at the first balloon. "Wingardium Leviosa" she said clearly. She carefully brought it up, over Allie head and paused.
She furrowed her brow in concentration and started to count. 1, 2, 3, 4 oh, I wonder if Nico is watching, NO! Focus! 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Thank goodness! She watched the balloon make its slow return back onto the desk. She hadn't realized that she had been holding her breath but as soon as it landed, she let it out all at once. "Whew! Did it!" she said. "Your turn, Allie." And with that said, she flipped her hair and turned to give Nico a smile. She deserved that look and was pleasantly surprised when her returned her smile.
Hearing the young Gryffindor he had seen in Professor Kapoor's office exclaim loudly and happily Nicholai shot her a grin; she had looked like something terrible had happened that day but you wouldn't know to look at her now. Quote:

Well, maybe she spoke to soon..... Astrid could not believe her eyes! Allie had just hit Jean Raoul in the head. Oh no, Allie, she thought. After the run in they had at the start of term, there was NO way in the world that he would believe that was an accident. Astrid just stood there in shock when she saw Allie prepared to try again. Are you serious! She can't possibly want to do that again! she thought. All of the confidence she had, gone with that one popped balloon.
This time she squeezed her eyes shut hard. Not even a whole second passed and SPLAT! Astrid gasped loudly. "Oh! My! God!" She said. "That is so cold!" She look at Allie, standing there giggling and said, "Nice Allie!"
She couldn't help but giggle a little bit herself. How embarrassing this was. She turned to look at Nico and said just one word, HELP!" He watched in amusement as her friend splatted one balloon and then followed it up immediately with another on Astrid's head. She didn't look too upset though- overcome with a giggle fit the way she was.
"I'll help you with the Tergeo after class if you like, Astrid." Nico offered before turning to regard Mari once more and smiling again.
