Jenn looked around and sighed. Oh great, I don't have a partner.Jenn thought. She looked around as people got started. She was quite nervous now.

Nicholai watched, still on his feet, with his arms folded across his chest as Camira successfully hovered the balloon above Evolette's head. A sudden thought occurred to him and he glanced at the professor curiously.

They could have just as easily practiced levitating the balloons over their own heads...had she intended that little Gryffie prefect moment to happen? This way though...he supposed they were having to learn to trust each other. Did he trust Camira and Evolette? Well Evolette yes- even though he probably shouldn't. He didn't really know Camira well enough to trust her but she didn't mess up just now or choose him as her target.

"If you are worried, you could always impervius your hair." Nicholai raised an eyebrow as Evolette squeezed her eyes shut, "But then I doubt you'd look like a drowned rat like some unfortunate people." Nicholai glanced over at Cale before turning back to the Slytherin girls.

One thing about his housemates is that they did appreciate the world being a beautiful place. They were only doing their part to keep that beauty in the world. A sardonic smile traced his lips; Evolette and Camira would get along fine now that Camira had fed Evolette's ego.

"My turn again." Nicholai remarked, and decided he'd give it a go non-verbally. Being particularly careful that he was doing the correct wand movements, Nico levitated the balloon and directed it over Camira. It wobbled a bit and Nicholai held it for the required 10 seconds before directing it back to the desk. He glanced up and shot a smile at Mari when he saw her where upon the balloon caught a corner and burst on the ground.

Luckily it had burst away from the three of them and they were still completely dry.

"Sorry about that," Nicholai made an apologetic smile at Camira and Evolette. Non-verbals were something he found alot easier with the adrenaline of a duel than in a charms classroom.

When Hannah didn't give an answer, Edie looked around and saw a fellow Ravenclaw. She walked over to her.

"Hello. I would love to be your partner," she said with a smile.

Jenn sighed in relief. "O.K."Jenn said walking with Edie. "I'm Jenn."Jenn said.

While Christine was focusing on the balloons that were resting on the desk in front of her, she saw a girl sitting besides her, who was levitating her balloons very well. She didn't seem to have a partner, so Christine decided to ask her to be partners. Hi, my name is Christine, do you mind if I practice with you? Christine pulled out her wand and pointed it at the balloon. Wingardium Leviosa she said in a scared voice. Her balloon flew straight up into the air and crashed into the ceiling, dropping cold water on Christine. Christine turned to the girl sitting next to her and smiled. Second times the charm she told her. Focus Christine, you can do this she thought to herself. She took a deep breath and said Wingardium Leviosa. The Balloon hovered over the head of the girl sitting next to her. A smile spread across Christine's face. She knew she could do it.

Jenn turned towards the balloons. "So just Wingardium Leviosa, huh?"Jenn asked nervously to her Edie. Jenn grabbed her wand and said the enchantment. The balloon quivered then started to slowly rise. Jenn smiled. That wasn't to bad. "Your turn!" Jenn said as she watched her balloon rise higher.

Christine looked around the room to see how everyone else was doing, when she caught sight of someone she had met on the Hogwarts Express. Hey, Jenn how are you? she asked watching water fly in each direction she shook her soaked hand.

Jenn turned, startled. Her water balloon quivered but then continued to float upwards. "Oh! Hi Chrissy!"Jenn said watching her balloon. "I'm doing pretty good."Jenn said, ducking as a water balloon zoomed past her.

Thats good Christine said with a smile. I had a little accident with the first try but I thing I got it down. Let me show you. Christine focused her attention to her balloon one more time and said Wingardium Leviosa and watched her balloon levitate over Jenn's head.

Jenn giggled. "That's O.K."Jenn said. Jenn watched as Christine tried again and did excellent. "That was really good!" Jenn said. "Mine's doing O.K."Jenn said turning back to her balloon which was bouncing around in the air.

Edie nodded and smiled. She watched Jenn perform the spell.

"Not bad!" Edie exclaimed.

Edie grabbed her wand from her pocket and gave it a swish and flick as she said, "Wingardium Leviosa". The balloon slowly rose above Edie and Jenn's head. Edie smiled as she watched the balloon hover in the air.

Edie saw another student who was in Hufflepuff house in the corner of her eye. Chrissy was what Edie heard Jenn call her.

"Nice spellwork," Edie said to Chrissy.

Jenn smiled at the praise. "Thanks! Yours wasn't bad either!" Jenn said as she watch hers and Edie's bob in the air.

"My pleasure and thank you," Edie said to Jenn as she lowered her balloon back onto the desk.

Ella watched the Raven girl who was trying to dominate the whole situation as she leaned back against the table with crossed arms over her belly, her wand in ready position. Typical! Was she really wanted to mess-up with Zel or was there some other reason behind the drama?!! Ella had no need to interfere in their talks. was that a prolonged one? She didnt know, she would ask Zel about that later.

But when the girl was started grouping, Ella moved to her, "Hey there!" she started clamly, "I've not seen you before you awesomest Raven. But it doesn't matter," she paused, "Are u really afriad of practicing with Us the Huffies or..." she rolled her eyes and gazed at the boys. "Are you...really really looking forward to talk with this guy..for some other reason..eh?" she asked in a clear sarcastic tone as her finger pointed out the taller guy who talked in French a few minutes before. Honestly she didnt find anyother possible reasons.

Nancy immediately like the Charms Professor. Her idea with the water balloons was just hilarious. Listening to everything the teacher and her classmates said she took some notes of those things that might come handy when practicing the charm.

Watching a boy and a girl, Cale and Anna she thought they were called, walk out in front of the class to demonstrate the Levitating Charm she kind of had a feeling that the demonstration wouldn't be ending well for either of them. Nancy didn't know why they obviously didn't like each other but the looks they were giving each other said a thousand words. Uh-oh. She thought as Anna went first.

The girl almost got until ten but suddenly when Nancy wasn't actually expecting it anymore she dropped the balloon exactly over Cale's head. Although she kind of felt sorry for the guy Nancy had to work hard to suppress a laugh. It just looked so funny. Looking around the room she could see that she wasn't alone with that thought.

She held her breath when it was Cale's turn but everything went smoothly. Well, almost at least. He dropped the balloon somewhere on the way back to the desk and a boy whom Nancy didn't know was soaked up with water.

Then the teacher told them to pair up to practice the charm. Oh my. She looked around the classroom to see if there was anyone she knew. The only one she spotted was Camira and she was already in a group. Helplessly she continued to glance around the room to see if anyone was still without a partner.

Slightly nervous for the new assignment, she looked around hoping to see someone who still didnt have a partner. She saw a second year Slythering doing the same, Miranda smiled and dicided to go talk to her.
''Hi!'' she smiled ''wanna be my partner?'' she asked eagerly

Nancy was just watching some students practicing and didn't notice a young girl walking up to where she was sitting. The girl's voice made her jump and she quickly turned to see who was talking to her. Eyeing the girl up and down she saw that she was from Hufflepuff. Taking one quick glance around the room she realized that there probably wasn't anyone else she could pair up with so she turned back to the girl and said with a smile. "Hi! Yes, sure. I'm Nancy. And you are?"

Miranda noticed the girl, Nancy, having a quick scan in the romm. It made her feel a bit uncomfortable but she answered her anyways not letting her smile fade ''Im Miranda, nice to meet you Nancy'' did she look at my house badge? Maybe she doesnt like Hufflepuffs...or just me. Hope she doesnt drop a balloon on me
''Who should start?'' she asked smiling

Could she trust a Hufflepuff not to let a balloon fall on top of her? Another quick glance at the little girl in front of her answered that question, though. Yes, she could at least trust Miranda. She looked quite nice. Nancy thought about her question. It probably was better to let her start because if she should let the balloon fall on her head she could still get her revenge. "Would you like to start?" She said with a grin and gestured towards Miranda.

Via had been silently listening at the foot of the class. She went to get two balloons at the Professor's table and used the spell for levitation. "Pointing her wand at the first balloon, "Wingardium Leviosa," she muttered. It didn't worked. She tried again and for the second time with all her focus on it. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Perfect. The balloon rose up to the air for a few seconds and fell back at her table. She again tried at the other one.

Miranda saw that a grin appeared on Nancy's face and she couldnt help but grin aswell. ''Me? Oh, um i havent done this before...but allright ill give it a go'' she smiled shyly

Miranda prepared herself, concentrating...she stared at the balloon as if that would help it levitate. She remembered her wand and pointed it towards the balloon.
"WEingar-diOm LeviUsaaaaa!" she said loudly. Nothing happened...She tried again ''Weingar-dom Levius-a!" she waved her wand in what she hoped was the right way to make the spell...But nothing happened, instead she accidentaly poked the balloon making it move slightly
''Did you see that??'' she asked exited

Oh my. Hopefully she wouldn't let the balloon fall over her head. Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to let her start after all.
Nancy watched Miranda try and just couldn't help it. She simply had to grin at her efforts. It was a nice grin, though, she didn't want to make fun of her.

"Yes, I saw it." She chuckled and left out the part about Miranda's poking being the cause of the movement of the balloon. "But I think you're pronouncing it the wrong way." She pointed her wand at one of the balloons. "Wait, let me try." Inside she wasn't as cool as she pretended to be and she wasn't sure at all if she would manage.

She took a deep breath and then said "Wingardium Leviosa" And it actually worked! Being so excited about that she looked away from the balloon and said to Miranda. "Do you see that?! It's actually float-" SPLASH! Drawing her attention away from the balloon hadn't exactly been a good idea. It splashed onto the desk in front of them and Nancy intuitively jumped back. Oh, well, at least it hadn't been on Miranda's head. "Oops. I'm sorry. Wait, may I try again?" She asked Miranda laughing at her own clumsiness.

Miranda grinned, it hadnt been her imagination after all!
Hmm the pronounciation was probably off since the balloon didnt really float like it was supposed to... ''Yeah go ahead'' she smiled. She watched Nancy say the spell and her nice wand movement, she had to remember that.
''Hey good job!'' she grinned as she saw the balloon floating above the desk ''yes i saw i saw'' she laughed ''how cool-'' Miranda shrieked as the balloon came down and splashed them with water.

She was a bit shocked, but soon started to laugh We'll have to ask that Nico guy to help us dry up she hoped it wouldnt sound weird asking someone that... ''Yeah sure you can try again, i could use with watching you do it right'' she smiled at Nancy

Remaining sitting slumped down, Dominic was not going to go out of his way for a partner. Tempted to get the water balloons and practice himself, he thought better of it. Honestly, did he really want to get the balloons and risk getting wet? Nope, of course not. Sinking further in his chair, he decided he would practice with his notebook or quill instead. Besides, these kiddies were already getting quite soaked and that was the last thing he'd want for his perfect hair.

Eying his notebook cautiously, Dom griped his wand lightly and wondered if the Professor would mind. Not that he cared really, as he was hidden in the back of the class by standing figures. The last thing he wanted was to work with those two mentally unstable girls who appeared to be fighting over some boy determined to remain invisible - like him. Idea then struck him. Communicating wasn't really his style, but he had to save this poor boy from the unfortunate clutches of the two girls...

Standing up, Dom slowly made his way over to where Mystery Girl and Hyper girl were suffocating the 'claw with their presence. "Excuse me, but how about you, Mystery girl, go work with those two Hufflepuffs and Jean Raoul," Ha! He remembered Frenchie's name from the train "and I will work with this boy here. There. Nice even numbers, four and two." The fourth year beamed at this most wonderful idea.

Nancy kind of started to like the girl. She obviously wasn't one of those whiny-types since she also laughed at her wet clothes. "I'm still really sorry." She chuckled.

Feeling pride rise inside her at Miranda's last sentence she took another deep breath, spoke the incantation and watched the balloon float in front of her.
Okay, don't lose concentration again. She encouraged herself as she moved her wand so that the water balloon was no exactly positioned over Miranda's head. Calm down. She started to count inside her head.

Miranda could be happy that she wasn't in Ravenclaw. It would have reminded her too much of Nick and she probably would have just let the balloon fall over her head. The thought of Nick made her wand hand shake a bit but she managed to steady it before she could break the spell. After ten seconds she slowly brought down the balloon and put it back onto the desk.
Her blue eyes kept staring at the balloon for a few moments and then focused on Miranda. She had really done it. "Phew. Now it's your turn." She really hoped this would work out just as well.
