"It was the name of my mom's owl. So I thought that it would be a good tribute to her" Amanda said, softly, petting her owl again.

Maddox found an empty compartment and put his bag in there. He quickly wrote a sign that said, 'Reserved for Maddox Darcy' and stuck it on the glass door with some spell-o-tape. He walked out of the compartment, grinned at the sign, and walked across the way to where penny was seated. "Hello Love. Like my sign?" He grinned and pointed to the compartment across the way. "I know we need to talk about some things, and its possible i might need to utilize that compartment." He smiled and winked at her.

Penny looked up from her book when she heard another voice. "Hello sugar." she said with a smile. She looked around Mads to where he pointed and laughed. "Nice, very nice." she said with a shake of her head. Penny nodded at his last statement. "Yeah we do. Do what you gotta." she told him.

PFFFFFT. Now she wanted to make A public makeout? Why did girls always have to juggle their ideas around? It got quite annoying. He wiggled his finger at her. "Oh no, but you'd only want that, wouldn't you? We can't get you're hopes up now.." There's A good way to turn the tables.

And she made A remark on his cutsie bat? NUUH! "Cookie's not A Monster! She's to cute and fluffy to look any more mutated." Kyler snuggled the small bulge inside his jacket, and it squeeked. "See? She's too lovely." Talk about the boy who's supposed to be running from these things.

And she went back to the whole 'Ladies man' Role. "Aw, you're too flattering." He fluttered his lashes A bit, before chuckling deeply and leaning back into his seat. "I could beat Mads at the role, any day, no doubt." He winked. "And what's going on with you and you're boy toy, anyway? Anything I need to know-"

But before he could finish his sentence, A ratting came to the glass door and forest green eyes turned quickly. Way to come on good timing. Snort. And it ended up Lima knew the girl, so Kyler didn't complain. Besides, the more friends, the better, right? And Lima called him lover boy, whhhha? "Ha-Ha-Haaai." He grinned, raised A large hand in A small wave of greeting, before Lima's next comment got to the better of him.

Teeth snapped at her. "Way to jump to conclusions, Whiggles! Am I known as 'The Ex' to all you're friends, cause that's what you tell them At first sight of me? What A title." Kyler snorted, then started mumbling to himself, leaning back in his seat. "Or maybe it's just A pride thing you girls do, who knows.."

Maddox sat next to Penny and placed his hand on her cheek. He pulled her in closely by her waist and kissed her once very gently. He pulled away and smiled. "So, say what you need to say. I am at your disposal." He grinned, leaned back folding his arms across his chest, and put his feet up on the seat across from them.

Penny gave Mads a small smile when he put is hand on her cheek. When he kissed her, she kissed him back. When he leaned back, she set her book aside. She took a deep breath. "We need to talk about what happened at Durmstang. What brought that fight on?" she asked him. This was going to be ever harder then she though. 'I am not going to cry.' she told herself.

"That sounds so fun! Of course" she said with a smile. Then she heard that she was invited to her house. Whitney felt bad because she really did want to go but just wasn't sure if she could. "Well,of course I would absolutely love to go, but I'm not sure if I can." Whitney felt really bad saying this. "I'm going to have to go home and make sure my mum's okay first. Then,if all goes well,after the funeral, I might be able to go over for a week or so. Maybe even a day." There,it was out,she said it. Now she would just have to wait.
"Oh that makes perfect sense. That was awfully nice." she said. Maybe Whitney would do that,but with her dad,like a tribute. "That's really great. So what are you hoping to do at Nico's?" she asked curiously.
Whitney could tell that Lima was uncomfortable from what happened at the feast but she just pretended like nothing happened. "Hey Lima!"

Turning to the boy she waved and her eyes went wide when Lima called him her "lover boy." 'Wow,she sure does move on fast.' Then she heard her say she kidding. At least this was one ex she could get along with.
"Hi! she said waving. Before Whitney could say anything else Kyler was complaining that he was known as the ex. "Oh no,it's not to everyone. Just to me,don't worry." she said with a wink. Whitney didn't want to be rude but she just had to laugh. For some reason she found him complaining funny. Or more what he was complaining about was funny.

Maddox took a deep breath and sighed. He knew this conversation was inevitable, so he might as well get it over with, right? It was just hard for him to talk about it. But this was Penny. She knew everything about him, and didnt care one bit who his dad was. He took a deep breath and sighed, again. "Well," He said, starting slowly to collect his thoughts, "I started that fight with you, because I didnt want you to have to deal with all the ridicule of being friends with me." He paused for only a moment.

"I didn't want you to be known as the best friend of the deatheater traitor's son." He leaned forward placing his elbows on his knees and letting his hands lie limp between them. He looked down at his boots, a little embarrassed. "You know thats how they saw me, Pens. They were the children of the deatheaters, what was I supposed to do? How could i have been so stupid as to trust Rudolphus?" He sighed and noticed a speck of dirt on his boots. Nico would have cleaned it off by now with a look that could kill, but Maddox didnt care. It was just a little dirt.

"Well, Nico offered to help me out with some duelling, so I'll be doing that. I'll actually get to relax and not have to worry about homework or house points or anything of that sorts until September." Amanda said, laughing. It was going to be nice to actually not have to think about school for a while.

All Sienna wanted to do was mope and wallow in her own sorrow, but no, of course, people had to come to bug her. She up-right in the fetal position and her face was staring out the window when the male voice spoke - it had an unfamiliar, foreign-sounding accent. European? French?

Whatever.

It was, however, very annoying, and she turned around to snap at the voice, until she saw that the face was friendly and wary - and Sienna simply nodded her OK.

Penny nibbled on her lip waiting for Mads to awnser. And when he did, she listened carefully. When he was finished she sighed. When was he going to learn. "First off, when did you start caring what they though?" she asked him. She continued before he could awnser. "And second, you know none of that would have bothered me. So what? Best friend stand beside each other, no matter what is said. I was prepared for that talk that would go on. And you know I dont care what they saw you as." she told him.

She watched as he shifted his postition. "Rudolphus was a git. He knew what to say and when." she said. She thought for a few minutes.
"So what happened when I was in the Library? Taryn came and told me that you and Rudolphus had a fight. Why?" She asked him.

Maddox sighed and rolled his eyes. He grinned and said, "When it started to effect my friendships. You were the last person I pushed away. I didnt want anyone to go through it. So i pushed everyone away. You were the hardest though, thats why I saved you for last. It was one of the hardest things i had even been though, but I had to protect you." He listened to her ranting lecture for a few minutes with a grin on his face, he sighed. "I know Pens, but I didnt want you to go through that. You know me. Protector." He shrugged with an innocent look on his face.


Maddox dropped his head between his legs, and placed his hands behind his neck. He took a deep breath and leaned back into the seat. He didnt want to relive this again so he just looked at her. He then remembered he had his journal in his back pack. He opened the compartment door, then went across the hall and grabbed his journal out of it. He walked back into the compartment, flipped to the page that he had written last year after the first meeting with Nico, and replied, "You will have to read it. Its to hard for me to talk about." He sighed and said, "Septmeber 13th." He pointed at it and waited for her to read it and for her response.

"Awww, don't worry, though," Anna said. "I have a feeling that next term is going to be a lot more fun." Anna made her self confortable as she talked. The fact that next term was her boyfriend's last term hadn't actually hit her yet. She seemed to be carrying on like she and Cale would just always attend Hogwarts together; and when she left, he'd leave with her. Neither would leave before the other. With all the chaos of the term ending, a ton of staff changes, and an upcoming trip to Hawaii, Anna hadn't really had time to let the fact that Cale was going to be a seventh year cross her mind just yet.

"I need a nap right now," Anna fussed. "I won't take one, of course. It's just nice to think that I can if I want to. I love the fact that I can sleep late every day if I want to, and I don't have to worry about doing a ton of schoolwork before I go to bed every night either." Anna stretched and made herself comfortable on the seat. "It does keep sort of boring at home, though. Mum's gone to Florean's all the time, dad is always dealing with whatever business deal he's gotten himself into, and I'm stuck at home with no brothers or sisters. Sometimes, I even wish Ezra would be there to keep me company. Isn't that horrible?" Anna asked, laughing about the matter.

Penny rolled her eyes when he was done talking. "Did you forget that I could protect myself?" she had to ask. She could not help it. "Protector. Hmph. I love you, but sometimes you go a little over board." she told him. She watched him as he shifted again. She wanted to reach over and pat him on the back. But she did not move.

She watched as he got up and walk out the compartment, confused. When he walked back in and handed her the journal, she raised an eyebrow and looked at him. She read what he and written and wiped away the tear that fell. She could not say anything. She took a deep breath and released it slowly. "Now I understand." she said quietly. She looked at him and thought. "Now do you want to know what happened to me? When Taryn came to the library and told me what happened." she asked him.

Lizzie felt kinda sad as she walked down the corridor of the train. She was leaving Hogwarts, only for a break, but still.. She'd miss it. She'd miss all her friends. But then again, she'd had several invitations from them, and she'd probably see them a lot anyway. She kept looking around for a compartment where she knew someone, or where she could at least sit down. She didn't seem to find anyone she knew. Where were all her friends? They'd just disappeared? Or where they in the front of the train? She had no idea, but she kept looking through the door of every compartment, just to check. She had to find someone to talk to soon, this was becoming silly.

Nicholai hadn't seen Cela yet but then his little sister might have been hiding in the luggage compartment again and he wasn't about to go hunt for her. He started walking down the train, occassionally pausing and nodding at the occupants that he knew in the various compartments he passed but not choosing to join any of them. He was surprised at how empty the train felt since most of the students had already found a seat.

He knew he probably should take the train ride as a chance to say goodbye to those of his friends and classmates that he wouldn't see over the summer, but there was only one person Nico wanted to see so he kept walking.

Kayla made her way down to the back of the train in search of the one person to make her feel better. Her hand was throbbing like crazy now and it was still bleeding, she didn't think it was broken but all the same it was really hurting.

She spotted him just up ahead and she sighed with relief. He was going to ask her what happened and she would tell him of course but she had no intentions of being mad or whatever. He had been single at the time and what he did during that time was his business.

"Nico" she called as she got closer to him. "Nico, I need your help, I've done something stupid" Kayla held out her hand so that he could see it.

Nicholai turned around and immediately a bright smile appeared on his face, fading into concern as she asked for his help and held out her hand. He immediately moved closer to her and gently took her by the wrist as he examined her bleeding hand. "I'd never call you stupid, mon coeur; just.... passionate." he responded, noticing that there were tiny bits of glass stuck in her skin, "What did you do- have an argument with a window?" he flicked his wand out and offered a crooked smile before gently cleaning the wounds so he could see the damage better. There was a fair amount of glass; and not at all easy to get out so he flicked his wand and used a reverse transfiguration on the slithers of glass to turn them into sand, precisely as he had with Alyss a few months back.

He reached into his pocket and removed a ridiculously clean handkerchief which he dampened with aguamenti. Nicholai carefully took her wrist again and gently began to dab at the cuts to remove the last of the blood and the sand. "So, do you feel like sharing what illicited such a passionate reaction?"

Well she felt stupid but as always Nicholai made her feel better, she winced slightly as he took her hand. Kayla looked up at him as he worked on her hand and she smiled. "You're always there when I need you, even when I do something...passionate" she cocked her head to the side and chuckled softly.

Kayla took a deep breath before answering his question. "I talked to Camira and she told me what happened between you two" she looked at him not with anger but simple understanding. "I'm not mad. We weren't together at the time and you could kiss anyone you liked...I...just wish it hadn't been one of my best friends" Kayla shrugged, she wasn't going to blow things out of proportion again.

This was it,it was the end of term and he couldnt find her.He'd been looking for her for ages,up and down in and out the compartments.He still couldnt find the one person he needed to see.It frustrated him alot.He sighed at the thought of not seeing her.He looked at the compartment that was empty and he threw himself on the sofa in defeat.He rubbed his temples,he could feel a headache coming on.Great.

"I'm just ever grateful that you need me at all." Nico answered quietly as he tended to her hand. He vanished the now bloody cloth and then proceeded to heal the cuts and bruises with the spells they had learned that year. Once he had finished he turned her hand and kissed it between wrist and thumb. He let go of her hand and blinked slowly at her expression as she told him she'd talked to Camira. He knew he could make excuses and tell Kayla that Camira had kissed him first and that had been the only reason he had gone to her later, but he didn't particularly want to hurt their friendship or shift the blame at all.

"What did she tell you exactly?" Nicholai wondered for a moment if Camira had mentioned that he had gotten a fairly crippling attack of conscience and been struck with the realisation of how he felt about Kayla. And that whole thing where he might possibly have broken her heart just the tiniest fraction.

The tiniest fraction. Unlike with Mari where he had practically shattered it. He cringed at the thought; still feeling completely guilty about it all. He wasn't sure if now was the best time to tell Kayla about that since her understanding would probably only go so far.

"You aren't mad?" He looked at her now healed hand and back up at her with one eyebrow raised.

Kayla had to think for a moment on what exactly Camira had said, the memory of her punching the glass door kept flashing through her mind and the demand she had made on Camira. Kayla had never done anything like that before but she had lost Nico once and she wasn't prepared to let it happen again and so she had now become slightly possessive.

"Well she told me that something had come over her, that you are always there for her and so she kissed you" Kayla chewed on her lip thoughtfully trying to remember what happened next. "And then you came to her later and you talked and then you kissed again, apparently you instigated that one." She wasn't sure how she was talking about this so calmly but she was and she felt quite proud of herself for it. Kayla thought about telling him that Camira was in love with him but decided against it.

She chuckled at his comment. "Well I was mad at her. She knew how I felt about you and she went and done this to me. I just felt betrayed by her, this was not the first time this has happened" Kayla looked down at her now healed hand. "I lost it...again" she looked at Nico. " I really need to do something about my temper otherwise someone is going to get hurt" she then remembered what else she had said to Camira and she looked at the floor. "And I told her she was not to stay at your house over the summer" she mumbled.

Nicholai nodded and licked his lips. "I knew she wanted me so I seduced her." he admitted, "but then I realised that I..." ahh so he apparently still couldn't say it, "... I couldn't stop thinking about you, regardless of what distractions I found." he paused, "and there were other distractions besides Camira."

Nicholai leaned against the wall and smiled briefly at her chuckle. "Did she really? You had me fooled, Kayla." He shot her a can-you-blame-her-just-look-at-how-gorgeous-I-am smile and nodded once in agreement. "You do and I'd hate for you to be the one to get hurt." Which she would if she lost her temper at his Uncle.

He tapped his fingers against his thigh and shrugged, "I expected that she wouldn't. I figured that she'd find it too hard to be around me. She... seems to be avoiding me." Nicholai knew precisely why that was and it was just another addition to the guilt he was carrying about this past term.

Mariska walked along the aisle, pushing her now longer hair back as she half-walked, half-pushed her way past people. She was looking for at least an empty compartment or one with someone she knew in it and no one else, but so far she was coming up quite empty handed. She looked up

She thought she saw Elizabeth enter a compartment a ways back, and she moved forwards a bit faster, but in her haste to just get somewhere she almost didn't notice a couple of students in her way. When she did she was almost upon them, and then she noticed who they were. She froze for a moment, her gaze moving to meet Nico's. She had no idea what to do, what to say, but just as soon as the moment had come, it was over and she looked ahead as if she had never known him or Kayla. She pushed past them, not even offering an pardon and she walked quickly to the compartment she had seen elizabeth enter.

Ella hurried to the back of the train after dumped her luguages. She looked away the compartments one by one to find a window seat which she always preferred during the journey. Her heart stopped for a second immediately in excitement at the site of Jack. She was about to squeel his name and also thinking of doing something funny to him..but..but..he looked tired or dejected? Oh..that's not a good scene to see. She gently placed herself next to him, put her hand on his thigh, "Jack, are you alright?" her voice full of love and concern.
