Off to the side, sits a small, narrow room, closet size, as a matter of fact. The door has been propped opened to allow air to circulate as it does become a little hot, no matter the temperature outside. On the inside sits a wooden desk, almost too large for the room it occupies at the moment, with different pictures lined across the top, consisting of his family and friends. Behind the desk in the corner is a stack of books that Caleum holds dear to him, from different books on potions, spells, charms, even a book of Hogwarts, A History can be found.

In front of the desk sits one lonely chair as it was the only other thing to fit inside the walls of the small closet-turned-into-an-office. He welcomes you to have a seat if you are not claustrophobic in any way, but if you are, the hallway is always a much better place to be at times.

Caleum Myers. Now how in the world of Hogwarts did Dominic find the office of a Professor of all people? Occamies! And of all Professors it had to be the one with an office no larger than a closet, as the door was propped slightly open to allow the topaz-eyed boy to peek in. Taking a deep breath, Dominic never spoke to Professors. Not willingly at least... especially since authority wasn't exactly his friend.

Though this one was an assistant, so he couldn't be that bad, right? Of course right. Raising his hand, his fingers curled to form a loose fist and he was about to knock out, even if the door was already propped slightly. Until he stopped and just stood frozen outside the doorframe as though waiting for something to happen. Anything.

Caleum was reading over a few notes from various history books that he had brought with him to school. Only Merlin knew of his love for history but, his ears caught the sound of the air being muffled in his office. Someone was at the door. His eyes darted up to find a young Hufflepuff just standing at the door not saying a word, not even knocking. Now this was interesting.

Instead of saying the normal words of "come in", he sat back in his chair, folding his hands and bringing them to rest on his chin. His head tilted slightly as if to see a little better at the door, just to allow his visit the proper annoyance of knowing that he acknowledged the boy in a silent matter.

Well this was odd; the thirteen year old caught the young man whom he presumed to be Caleum Myers just sitting there. Acknowledging him silently, almost as if mocking his own quietness. That was the last thing Dominic expected for a Professor was to follow his own motives.

Thus came an idea to play along with his little game and Dominic tilted his own head as like a mirror image to the man behind the desk. There; he noticed the professor. Now what? Using one of the tricks in his robes probably wouldn't be advisable. Perhaps running away might be appropriate at this time...

Hmmm. Caleum brought his hand up to his face and scratched his chin. This little fella was a strange breed, one that seemed to be a little bit of fun to play with...one that liked...pranks...maybe? Caleum's eyes surveyed the boy wondering what his next moves would be.

Tempted to continue his copying scheme, Dominic resisted scratching his own chin and kept his hands in his pockets. This professor was quite interesting, even in only observation. Should he speak yet? Nah. Sidestepping until he was up against the doorframe, Dominic leaned against it and continued to gaze at the Professor wondering what he was thinking. And all the while how he had ended up here really; in this particular Professor's office.

Oh this Hufflepuff was something else. Intending to not act his age at the moment, Caleum kept the silent treatment up. It was rather fun playing with the little one at his door. First thing that ran through his mind was if this student was one that liked pranks. Hmmm?

Caleum slipped his hand in his pocket and pulled out a box of belching powder, placing it on his desk in front of him. A smirk arose on his face as his bright blue eyes continued watching the little student with curiosity.

Dominic crossed his arms as he curiously eyed the professor. Strange; he was keeping up with the silence which he kind of admired slightly. Not many professors would be able to do so for such extended periods of time. Then the professor reached into his pocket, retrieving something.

Taking a small step forward, the fourth year looked onto the desk and recognized the container at once. Belching powder. He had some of that in his trunk, packed away. He gave a small nod of approval, showing some interest in the product.

AH! A nod! Caleum kept his face emotion-free from any snickering, smirk, or a simple hint of a smile. This one was surely mysterious. He liked that.

His eyes shifted to small one man chair that sat in front of his desk. He wondered if the young student understood...eye movement.

It had to run in the gene pool. It HAD to!

She was lost. Sucessfully so. Not even being able to tell where her twin was. Closing her eyes, she brought both fists down on what she'd assumed was a wall. The sound echoed. Ah. Not a wall by any chance? Rolling her eyes, and muttering something about the genetics of her family, Alyss knocked, slightly more polietly than she had done before. After all, it might be nice to apologise.

Caleum's head snapped in the general direction of where a fist seemed to plow into the door...wall...didn't matter, it scared him half to death. Finally breaking the silence of the room, he spoke up as he heard a nicer knocking on his door.

"May I help you," he asked in a soothing voice as his eyes glanced at the student in question.

Taking a very very deep breath, and preparing to totally feel like a fool, Alyss pushed the door very slowly open. Biting her bottom lip, she suddenly felt very shy. "I'm sorry about the door... I'm a tad lost." That sounded absolutely humiliating.

YAY!

Looking down, she thought it probably best to tell him about the mark she'd left in the door, although she didn't want to. Someone had to teach her about her own strength some day. Soon would be very good. "I'm looking for the Charms... Area thingy." Maaan... That wasn't very intelligent either.

Dominic was having quite difficulty reading this man, given his expression free face. Mysterious. One whom he could surely learn a lot from. Noticing the small chair, the Hufflepuff was about to take the seat when he was interrupted.

By the crash of a small girl into the door!

Ooph! That ought to hurt... he thought, looking at her briefly. He dug his hands into his pockets as the girl told of looking for the charms area, which he did not know where it was. So he waited for the Professor to finish with him before removing his own prank; hiccup sweets amongst other coloured candies.

"Thank you, and uhum... I'm sorry about the door." That was possibly about the biggest explanation she was going to give about the chip of wood she'd haistly stowed inside her robes. Biting her lip once more, she gave him a small smile and added, "And I'm sorry for interrupting."

She fled.

Caleum blinked a could of times as the little Slytherin student excused herself to hurry off to what he guessed to be the charms area. A place he would need to visit himself and soon. His attention however turned back to the little Hufflepuff that was still in front of him, still not a word spoken. He was ready to make his rounds and if he had too, he was dragging this little one off with him.

Listening to the Professor engage words with the Slytherin about the location of the Charms classroom, Dominic just stood quietly until the girl said thank you and left. Odd encounter, he thought shrugging before he went back to where they were before. Or at least where he thought they were.

The fourth year removed the sweets from his pocket once before and held them out in his hand, his eyes glowing mischievously. "You prank?" he asked quietly, finally speaking.

Ah! This kid knew exactly what was in the box. He had to be cautious of his actions, completely. "Sometimes," Caleum answered with a smirk on his face. His eyes glanced to what was being held out in his hand. "I see you do too." A broadening smile curved on his lips. Once a Huffie, always a Huffie. "Fun isn't it?"

Bwaha! The fourth year knew there was a reason for visiting this professor; a new ally was in the making. "It can be," unless it involves landing you in detention from killing the captain. Dominic shifted his eyes around the tiny office for a moment, before slipping into the chair. "Denton. Dominic Denton," he said in introduction, holding out his hand.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Denton," Caleum said as he sat back in his chair and crossed a leg on top of another. "I'm Mr. Myers," he began as he rested his arms on the arms of the chair and then brought a hand up to his mouth. "You know, I think I need to pay a visit to the Hufflepuff common room. As House Mod, I think it would be only fair to ask why the Huffies are not working hard this term. I know you are working hard, right Mr. Denton?"

Dominic nodded when the Professor introduced himself as Mr Myers; he seemed nice enough, especially the fact of the fellow prankster was a bonus. Twiddling his fingers together lightly he blinked when Mr Myers then mentioned how he was house mod. Oh no! He's going to yell at me! Working hard? Him? Of course he was... shifty eyes.

"But the Hufflepuff common room has girls, Mr Myers," the fourth year explained in a worrisome tone. Yea, girls were definitely not his fiend. Coughing quietly, he nodded. "Of course. Herbology is quite fascinating." There; working in hard in one subject was something, right? No need to mention the others.

Caleum chuckled at Dominic. "Ahh! You run away from the females too?" He couldn't help but ask that question as Caleum was always one who gave his attention to school subjects, reading...doing anything to get him through his courses as fast as possible so that he could finish school and training early.

"The common room should also have males as well. You want to take a walk with me?" If the student wanted to walk with him, he had no problems about. it

Too?! Dominic blinked at that last word in the man's response; so apparently dislike of females wasn't an immature thing after all if this grown man was also scared. Interesting. "Females are confusing and way to emotional," the hufflepuff accidentally let slip outloud. It was true though; every time he was around them, they seemed to be a pocket full of tears.

"I suppose it does..." Dominic shrugged, not willing himself to argue. The males seemed nice enough, except maybe way-too-proper French boy. "Er.. sure." No harm in taking a walk with this professor; at least he seemed down-to-Earth and the fact that he was a prankster and ran away from females certainly helped things.

Ah HA! "Females are quite confusing," Caleum said as he lowered his head and rubbed his eyes with his hand. "If you can, stay away from them as much as you can. They are nothing but trouble." What he wanted to add in there was that he would have the rest of his life to chase after a dream that would never come true.

"I just need to get out of the office. It's a little stuffy in here...small, confined, stuffy," he repeated once more shaking his head as he stood up. The last thing he was going to do was close the door when they were out of the office, even though he didn't like shutting the door. Air didn't circulate very well behind closed doors.

Woot! This Mr Myers dude was completely awesome! "After hardly a month of school, I could tell that females are trouble. Just think of their obnoxious giggling and whispering is more than I think i could possibly bear," Dominic said in a quiet voice. Not to mention their high screechy voices which were deafening.

"I understand. Fresh air is good," he nodded and stood up after the older man did, leading the way outside the office. Once he was out, he looked back at Caleum and raised an eyebrow. "After you."
