Chris stared on in disbelief the two professors were going at eath other like crazy! he looked back at the other students

Lucas didn't know what do as the teachers went back and forth with each other. Did they know they were in the middle of a classroom?

Macadrian rolled her eyes, not dignifying Max's "29" comment with a response. "I'm quite sure the kids realize that you made quite a bit of money playing Quidditch. In fact, I don't think one of them even suggested that you lacked money, just that perhaps this was a month to consider what you wanted to do with some of it. For example, perhaps you could donate some of that money to families in need, or to St. Mungo's to find cures for mysterious illnesses." Macadrian stared into Max's face to convey her opinions at this point.

"And as for balancing work and love, perhaps they were thinking that surely you must miss your wife and kids while you have to be here at Hogwarts, and that this would be a month to perhaps take a couple days away to visit with them, or plan a nice family vacation during the summer holidays. Not everything has to be negative, Professor Vindictus."

Satisfied that she had conveyed her point sufficiently, Macadarian returned her attention to her class and requested, "As a reminder, my birthday is November 22, 2028. Please everyone calculate my Personal Year, Month, and Day Numbers for the 4th and the 5th. Then suggest how you think these numbers might specifically apply to my life. I promise, I won't be offended... or oversensitive."

Dominic blinked, his eyes flickering back and forth between the two professors. Oh for the love of Merlin, they were seriously going to slaughter each other if one didn't leave. Sighing quietly, the fourth year decided to interrupt. Raising his hand, he looked mostly at Professor Vindictus, "Excuse me sir, but I'm quite certain that she is not 29 - rather 38 - since she did offer her birthday in class one time. November 22nd, if I'm not mistaken," he replied, before looking over to Shackleton. "And if I do say so, then Professor Vindictus is correct in that you don't look a day over 29." Oh yes, Dominic Denton was totally kissing up right there . . .

Mari looked up from her parchment as the two professors started arguing, one eyebrow arching as Professor Vindictus insulted Professor Macadrian. She looked over at Asteira, her expression one of curiosity and mild confusion. All the while, she watched with a slightly incredulous look as the Ravenclaw Head of House spoke to the Arithmancy Professor as if she had personally hurt him and he wanted to hurt her, or something along those lines. It wasn't completely unfamiliar to Mari; She had seen her parents do the same thing often enough.

Vindictus rolled his eyes and gave Shackleton his 'whatever' look before going over to her desk. In the top drawer, he found what he was looking for and returned to his seat. "Since you clearly don't want this, I think I'll have it instead," he grinned as he slowly unwrapped a chocolate bar in front of her.

"Chris leaned over to the person next to him and wispered "did he just take her chocolate?"

HA! Shackleton set Vindictus straight once and for all with how they weren't being negative at all with their interpretations. Though it seemed perhaps both professors were slightly edgy and needed to take some time off work. Just preferably not together.

Though now was not the time to think about that, as she returned her attention back to the class and reminded them of her birthday; which he had actually gotten correct. WIN FOR DOMINIC DENTON! Superb memory skills paid off. With that, the fourth year set to work with calculating her personal numbers:

Astrid's eyes perked up and she sat a little straighter in her chair. She didn't know what to think, but this class sure was growing increasingly interesting. She was all too eager to figure out Professor Shackleton's numbers, so as soon as she gave out her birthday, she went to work straight away.

She continued, "As for this month, your Personal Month Number is a 4. Yoi will need to keep focused on your goals and work hard to stay on the right track. You will also want to ensure that you are staying healthy."
"Today your personal day number is an 8. It is going to be a day to take charge...." she paused slightly to look at each professor again before going on. "and to handle your finances,"
"And for tomorrow, your personal day number is a 9 and that indicates that you will want to make sure that all loose ends are tied up regarding your personal and professional life." Whew, Astrid took a breath. That was quiet a mouthful. She just hoped that this class wouldn't end as dramatically as the last. She just couldn't take the tears again. With that memory dancing around in her head, she smiled sweetly at Professor Shackleton and laid her quill on the table.

Lenae shot a look in Chris’ direction. Does it really matter if he took her blasted chocolate?
Rolling her eyes, she flipped her text book to personal days, hoping to get the numbers to cooperate. Her Personal Year should be 2..Personal Month? Well, she had thought it was 4, and..yes, it was.
Hearing the other students explanations, she sighs slightly, placing her quil down and listening instead.

He looked nervously from one of the professors to the other

Nicholai placed the book down on his desk and obligingly examined the ring on the Professor's left hand. "I have never been in your office, sir. But I imagine that any pictures of your family contained therein are completely genuine and I have no reason to suspect otherwise." He responded politely, his expression not conveying even a flicker of what was thinking internally.

He watched as the two Professors bickered and kept quiet. Really life was complicated enough with people accusing you of being unfaithful without having a professor accuse you of calling them unfaithful- which he had not and didn't much care if he was in the first place.

With one wary glance at Professor Vindictus, Nicholai began the calculations for Professor Shackleton.

About to put his hand up and answer, Nicholai paused as he watched Vindictus...taunt? Professor Shackleton with chocolate. Weird. Shaking himself, Nicholai raised his hand to give his interpretation for Shackleton's numbers.

"Professor Shackleton; Your Personal Year number is 2 which indicates that you will be more sensitive to the nuance of relationships and others' needs and this makes you able to relate and listen to others better. You need to be adaptable and cooperative and if you take things slowly and strive for balance and harmony you might find a sense of peace and tranquility in your life. Your personal month number of 4 indicates that you need to build a foundation for the remainder of your personal year and focus on health matters. He cleared his throat before finishing up, "Tomorrow's personal day number for you is 9, which indicates that you should use your intuition and wrap up things that need to come to an end. Again, in relation to your other personal numbers- it may indicate that you should use your intuition in your dealings with others, your heath and building a secure future."

No matter how much Clifford quite liked Miss Shackleton walking up and down past his seat.. he kinda wished she wouldn't. Everytime she walked past, he shuffled nervously on his seat of daises - flattened daises no doubt. Bleh.

And then Professor Vindictus and Miss Shackleton - well, there was no other word for it really ... they started going psycho.

If he'd had the guts, and if he wasn't nothing but an ickle boy compared to Professor Vindictus, Clifford would've told the bloke to stop being so mean. Hmpf. But as it were.. yeah, he wasn't quite that brave and looked down at his textbook.

"Your Personal Day Numbers are eight and nine, Miss Shackleton!" He exclaimed, looking up and beaming. "The same as miiiiiiiiine." EEP!

Professor Shackleton was quite pleased with her students' willingness to assess her own numbers. She was afraid they would be a bit timid after Vindictus' performance, but luckily, most weren't. She praised them, "All of your have done a wonderful job of assessing my numbers, especially those of you who tried to provide very specific examples of their application."

Macadrian turned to Max and joked, "And I suffered through mine without losing my temper or even blushing!" Although, I must admit, I'm glad none of them focused on that health stuff too much... That might have been a bit awkward to side-step.

Turning her attention back to the class, Shackleton offered, "Time to wrap up? I think we've had enough discussion for today. Homework will be posted shortly. Thank you for your participation. Have a nice afternoon."

Astrid started packing away her things. Part of her was glad this class was over. It seemed like every class with Prof. Shackleton had gone awry somehow lately. It saddened her so much because she had been her FAVORITE professor since she arrived at Hogwarts. Trying to shake those thoughts away, she finished shoving all of her things in her bag, stood up and said, "Thanks for the lesson Professor. Have a good day, ma'am!" Giving her her sweetest smile, she turned her head and said, "You too, Professor Vinidictus." Then she waved at them both and headed out the door.
