"Sure," he said with a smile. He turned back to his broom, working extra hard to get the scuffs out as he thought to himself. This was nice, talking to Anna outside of Hogsmeade. He immediately felt guilty again that he hadn't talked to Cora in a while, but he tried not to think about it. He'd get depressed again.

"Both of them are great now that they've gotten out to see their girlfriends," he told her when she asked about Shel and Jason. "Shel's actually going a bit mental, I think," he chuckled. "Yesterday we had a pillow fight. To cheer me up...I was--um, a bit down about things," he said, stopping himself before he revealed too much.

Anna studied Cale's face. He looked like something was bothering him - something else besides the letter he got from his mother and the whole school separation thing. There was something he wasn't telling her, and although she'd really like to know what, she decided not to ask. Maybe he would tell her in his own time.

"A pillow fight?" she asked, her eyes lighting up and her mouth drawing up in a smile. "That's something I would love to see! A pillow fight among the boys of Gryffindor!" she exclaimed. "That's also something I'd like to be right in the middle of - hitting all the boys in sight right on top of the head with a pillow."

When he said he'd been down about a lot of things, she knew for sure then that he'd been holding something inside that she didn't know about yet. "Cale, I don't mean to pry into something that's not my business, but - are you okay? It's just, the past few days when I've been around you, I've gotten the impression that there's something you're holding inside that's just killing you. What's wrong?" she asked.

Polishing the broom a little harder than he needed to, he took a deep sigh and shook his head. "It's not a big deal, except...well, I think I have to break things off with Cora," he said sadly, running a hand through his hair as he leaned back against the wall.

He rubbed the handle with the cloth a little harder, but one of the scuffs was just refusing to come out. Finally, after a lot of effort, he dropped the broom in his lap and threw his hands in the air and muttered, "I give up!"

Anna jumped back a bit and gave him a startled look. "Oh, I, erm...sorry I asked then," she mumbled. "I'm really sorry it didn't work out for the two of you." She was really sorry that she asked. It had probably caused him more pain just to say that outloud to her. She didn't dare ask why. If he thought she should know, he'd tell her. She'd probably already asked too much as it is.

"Well, you know I'm here for you if you need me, okay?" she asked. "We better both get out of here, though. I don't think we're supposed to linger in here for long. Hopefully I'll see you in here another day," she said, standing and smiling at him. "Don't forget I'm always here for you."

With that, she turned around and headed for the door, smiling back at him one last time before going out.

"Yeah, thanks," Cale said with a soft smile, wishing that he could tell her everything, but after his little outburst with his broom, it felt better to just leave things at that. "I guess I'll see you at Hogsmeade--or tryouts, which comes first," he replied. Ahh, Quidditch and Hogsmeade. Two things that made this school actually bearable.

Putting away the polish, he followed her out the door, feeling a little more than sad at the fact that they had to leave so quickly.

Aha! Those two!

Shel caught sight of Cale and Anna, both departing, as he made his way into the Broomshed, and a quick grin slid across his face. He would have to ask Cale about how the meeting had went, next time they met.

He meandered over to the brooms, needing to practice now that tryouts were closing in. They were there, all neatly stacked, the place wild with the scent of old wood and new wood and old polish and new polish. He ran his hand over the handle of a broomstick, feeling it beneath its fingers.

Why did brooms always feel so nice?

Was that Shel?

Sarah Corner eyed the place and tried to make out the flash of Blond hair that she had noticed from the window. She walked closer to what possibly seemed a VERY haunted place- that is it was very wrecked- and gave Sarah the creeps as she walked closer to the place. Normally it was packe, well not literally, but with Quidditch freaks so it was a little freaky not seeing anyone else there.

It was wood every where, brooms, broom- and all WOOOD!- that was what she could make out from the window, but She was sure- she had seen those hair- so bitting her lower lip and after a moment of thought entered the place.

"Shel-?"

One word. Sarah.

It was always like this - They were in the same place and, if they were not, they found each other. He found her, and she found him. No exceptions. Ever. Because one or two did not count, right? He guessed it was good, very good, but it was also very strange, once you began to think of it.

Broom quite forgotten, Shel turned around. "Tooth fairy!" he exclaimed. "I never knew you had such a great interest in flying, yourself."

"MR PERFECT!" Sarah beamed, hugging him briefly before letting him go hearing his question. "I do not, I don't like Flying- Its scary for me in every way," Two time she did try- she was hurling her way back down. Disgusting, it was. So Flying: A big No No!

"Are You trying Out for the team?" She asked, looking up at the celiling. Why did it seem like it was going to fall down- and crush them both?

Shel grinned as she screamed, quite like the crazy thing that she was. And quite like the crazing thing that he loved, too.

"Yes, I'm trying out," he said. "And I'm surprised flying scares you - I would think the poor brooms would be scared of the big, bad, evil tooth fairy. Who knows if she has an appetite for broomsticks? Might eat them all before the day is out," he added laughingly.

He bent down, picking up a tolerably clean rag and polish. "You know, we should stay at least seven feet away from each other, here, before someone from the Ministry pops in to tell us we are out of bounds and we need to be locked in the dungeon for committing the crime of the century." He rolled his eyes, rubbing his broom with the rag.

"How's school for you?" he asked conversationally. "Did I mention I met my mother, last Hogsmeade weekend?

And that I love you? To bits?

"You'll make it, As You are Mr. Perfect, I look forward cheering for Gryffindor team more then," She grinned- looking at all the Wood around them. Wood hasd wierd smell to it, it somehow had a pinching affect inside her nostrils- she wrinkled her nose before looking back at him.

She rolled her eyes. "In any way? Do I look fat to you" She asked in horror- compared to how fat Garfield was getting because off all the sneak in treats- she was VERY much in shape. "And my favorite flavor is definitley not Wood so these brooms shouldnb't fear me at all," She wrinkled her nose again, thinking of what would taste taste like, anyway. - and anyway, they should be only afraid of me whne I plan to fly them which is not happening, so thats that," She added. Just thinking of all the crisis that could appear if she decided to fly made her shiver.

She nodded. "MmmHmm," she nodded, half listening when He said about their may be crime, she was still eyeing the ceiling- What if it did crash? Why were all the stuff at Hogwarts so puzzling?

"Oh Its fine, same old, same old- Life can be very boring here you know," Pun Intented. Her attention did catch on when He mentioned his mother, though. Sarah remebered her and How very Sarah was of her. "You Did? How is she?"

Jason takes "Wild Thing" to the broomshed. He polishes it and waits for Jamie. Jason thinks- When are Cale and Anna going to get together?

Jamie was looking for a place to study. She had to get on to her Muggle Sudies. She had heard that the Broom Shed was a quiet place to study. She wandered into the shed no paying attention to who was in there and pulled out her books.

Finished with the polishing, Rapunzel moved on to trimming the tail-twigs. She couldn't help noticing the 10,000 Gryffindors that kept popping in and out. And it pairs too, like this was some sort of 'meeting-shed.'

Hmmmph. Most of them she'd never even seen on the pitch before either! Whatever. This was a place for broom-related activities, certainly not studying or chatting. If they got in trouble, she'd have no objections - especially not if they lost house points too.

The thought made Punz smile a little as she worked on getting her broom in tip-top shape. She was tempted to start whistling again, but all the couples in the room sure were mood-killers.

Amelia decided to stop into the broomshed on her way to check out her sign up list for her house team. Someone had mentioned that she had quite the growing list, but being the stubborn badger that she was, she had to see it for herself.

Pushing her way into the broomshed, she gazed around her green eyes glowing with delight at what she saw. Sure she'd been in the amazing shed before, but never as captain. This was... cozy. She might actually start doing her homework here as it was relaxing being near brooms again. That was when she saw her; Rapunzel.

"Punz!" she exclaimed, strolling over to greet the fourth year. Shifting her clipboard in her arms she smiled and looked down at the girl's work. "Cleaning up that broom for tryouts?" she asked of the girl, even though she already knew Rapunzel was.

But then she glanced down at her clipboard briefly as she spotted the envelope with her announcement for Cooper's there. Of course, that was why she really came in here.. looking for Hufflepuff boys. Specifically Tancred or Garret would do just nicely.

"I hope so," Shel said affably. His hands moved over the end of his broomstick, polish doing its work in its shiny, shiny way. There. That was just the way he liked it. He loved his broom. A lot.

Taking care of it was always fun. Shel could not wait to climb it, and be in the air again. Being airborne was always an amazing feeling, and he could never really understand why some people seemed to dislike it so much. Fear of heights, probably, he decided.

"Well, my broom's afraid of you, for one," he told her, grinning. "It has a very strong feeling you eat wood. Tooth fairies have strong teeth, you know."

He tapped the cloth he had been using on his broom with his wand, his touch light. It immediately looked cleaner - and it had certainly needed the cleaning, seeing how much dirtier it had become after he had begun to use it. He had really left his broom alone, the past couple of days. He needed to pay it more attention, the broomstick was practically wailing for it, today!

"Yeah, I met my mother," he said, nodding. "She's fine, she was happy. At least, she seemed happy. She gave me a gift." He rolled his eyes. One of her 'muggle' gifts again. It had been a set of CD's. Music, mostly. Metal. But he liked it, metal. Heavy metal, especially. "Muggle stuff," he told Sarah. He hesitated, then added, "And a bracelet. One of Aph's. She said she found it when leaving - you know - dad's home. I'd never seen it before, it's very..." he paused, thinking of the right word.

"Very nostalgic," he finished. The movement of hand across broomstick had stopped, for a moment, but now it was re-continued. He held up his broom, in quite good shape once again, now that he had tended to it.

Melinda entered the broomshed. It was amazing. Along with her, she carried her broom, a Firebolt. Something old she had found at the mannor. Melinda smiled and started to look for something to wipe some of the dirt out of it. She found an oil, special for broom wood. Soon, took out a handkerchief and started to caress the broom with it.

Maddox went out to the broom shed to grab his broom. He hadnt been out flying in the longest time. He needed to get practicing for quidditch tryouts coming up. He found his brand new firebolt 500 and sat down on a bench next to the broom shed. He pulled out his broom maintenance kit and started fixing a few things here and there on his broom.

Lima entered the broom shed to get a broom to practice flying on. She was considering trying out for the team and wanted to get in the best condition before trying out. As she walked in she saw a tall and broad boy in there already. Startled she exclaimed, "Maddox!"

"Hello Jamie" Jason told her. "What are you atudying? "Jason asked her. "I am so happy to see you."Jason told Jamie."How is that broom broom cleaning coming Jamie?' Jason asked her.

Maddox leaped up and turned around knocking all of his tools on the ground. "Lima! What are you doing here?" He smiled and pulled her close into a warm gentle hug.

Pyralis walked down the path hopping to soon be joined....she sighed and looked up at the sky.

"I was wondering the same thing," she said as she returned the gentle hug. Smiling she added, "I hadn't expected to see you again until Hogsmeade. How are you?" she was so glad to see him again.

Jason takes his broom "wild Thing' with him. He tapes Jamie on the shoulder. "Remember me young lady?" Jason asks her laughing. Jason still cleaning his broom.

Jamie jumped when Jason tapped her shoulder. "Jason, Hi!! Sorry I did not hear you I am working on my muggle studies. How are you?" Jamie said blushing a lil.
