The Broomshed

The Broomshed is a place where the Hogwarts school brooms are stored when not being used by students participating in Flying Class or Quidditch. The shed is located one hundred yards from the Quidditch Pitch and appears to be on the verge of collapse to the untrained eye. Carefully open the door that miraculously hangs on rusted hinges and inside you'll find the broomsticks hanging from the ceiling and leaning up against the walls. Select your broomstick with care before heading out to class and return it to it's resting place when class is over. At the center of the room is a large wooden table surrounded by benches - take care not to get any splinters if you decide to take a seat while tuning up your broom!

Basic Broomshed Rules:
1. RP your character getting a broom for class/returning a broom/caring for a broom, etc. Please be aware that there are no Firebolts in the shed.
2. Broomsticks in here are for Flying Class and Quidditch uses only. If your character sneaks in to take a broom for a flight by the lake or on other areas of school grounds, expect a loss of House Points and/or Detention. If this becomes a problem (I hope it doesn't), the thread will be closed when class is not in session. On another note, all other kinds of RPing can take place in here - from polishing your broomstick to finding a quiet place to study, etc.
3. The Broomshed is not a place for public displays of affection (PDA) - violators will lose House Points and gain a date in the Dungeons (aka, Detention).
4. Observe SS Board Rules at all times.
5. Have fun!

With a smile, he lifted his face up. "Make sure your teacher reads this" he pointed down at the Homework, "I believe there's a mistake in correction right there".

He then turned his attention towards the photo that Constantine shoved in his direction. Well, this was certainly a surprise by all means and he didn't know the boy could be so...demanding at times. "Well, when you've got'ta go, you've got'ta go. Nice picture by the way." Oh that devilish grin was one that could never hide it's face around anyone.

He then looked to the 'little ones' that were still within earshot and quickly lowered his voice, but that was after the fact that he had already spoken his words.

Frowning slightly as he took the picture back from Caleum, he glared a little, but not too much. "Would it kill you to lower your voice? And thank you." Neo sniffed as he placed the photo back into his pocket. "Alright, I'm going now...wish me luck." Neo nodded his head to all the men (and ladies!) in the room, before heading back to the door. Opening it slightly, he passed out the door and headed back to the school's front gate.

Amelia's eyes opened wider than they had before, if that were possible, as he heard his croaking. Ooh! He didn't want her Pinnacles, but wanted her! Hesitating a moment, she watched as Masterson waved goodbye and went off to do whatever it was he was going to do.

She then rose from the spot and walked over towards Clark. Reading the paper over quickly, she bit her lip in confusion. Thank goodness for the walk back to Belle's, which would give her time to decipher the code message. "Um okay. Deliver this now or when I go back to Belle's?" she asked for clarification, half wishing it was later because she sort of wanted to try her hand at the poker they were talking about. Yet somehow she had an inkling she knew what the answer would be.

Taking the paper from him, she strode around the other side of the table to pick her bag up off the floor.

"Tell her she can send something back here to Max with you if she likes. And I'll receive it from him" he glanced sideways at Max. "Fine by you, yeah?"

Caleum watched...quietly, as Constantine walked right out the door and off to, well, he knew where he was going. He then turned his attention back towards Fabian. "Sulking? I dare say, there should never be any sulking in this drab of a place. Whatever have you been sulking at?" This was a question above all. He dared to think it was not over his lady friend, of course.

Jezz had barely made it back into the shed, and had collapsed quietly in a corner, shaking. That woman terrified her and now she had even more reason to be evil. She shuddered and tucked her chin into her chest, hiding her face in her hands and crying silently. She hated it.

A small frown crept across her lips; darn! That meant no gambling today! "Of course," Amelia nodded in understanding at his instructions. Great; she was turning out to be exactly what she always dreamed of: a messenger girl! Snort. She should get a hundred points for this kind of labor...

Sighing, she swung her bag over her shoulder and slipped the note safely into her bag. She would attempt to decipher it once she got back to Belle's. "Nice seeing you again Professor Clark," she smiled. "Bye Professor Vindictus and you too," she indicated to other professor who she didn't know. With that, the seventh year hurried out of the broomshed and moved forward onto her special mission.

"Pleasure's all mine Amelia" he said watching the girl walk away. He let out a deep sigh before Caleum captured his attention.

He let out another sigh then brought a hand to scratch his jaw were it was evident that his shaving skills have been dormant the past few days. "Pains beyond pains" he spoke up dramatically, "you see. The woman i care for lies only beyond those grounds" he pointed his index finger towards Belle's school "and i can't see her. If that's not reason to sulk then I'm not sure what would?".

By now, Vindictus's face had turned a nice shade of puce and his blue eyes were practically bulging out of their sockets. He turned to Fabian and headed back to his seat. "That felt good," he said as he collapsed in his chair.

All Xylia wanted to do was laugh in the man's face as she was tossed out of the Broomshed unceremoniously. But as the door slammed in her face, she felt herself falling backwards and she landed with a thud on the dirt path. "Ooo! The nerve of that moron! Brennan warned me of him," she hissed and pushed herself back into a standing position. She could hear laughter coming from inside and so she did what she did best when not trying to physically harm someone - eavesdrop.

Ear pressed against the door, Wystan heard everything. "Hmm...I wonder which female that handsome looking idiot friend is crushing on." With a smirk, she decided she had heard enough and left the Broomshed area. She had a class to teach on the open grounds....

For the past two hours, Vindictus had been standing outside his Broomshed and watching the flying class through his trusty pair of Omnioculars. "Oh, Fabian! This is great! That joke polish really does work," he chuckled. "We should use it on Lord Borr's chair or something. Wait - how about the floor of the Third Floor corridor?"

After flying class, Amelia had gone to her locker room when she saw they had been opened to post a notice for her team. Now that that was over with though, it was time to head on over to the Broomshed and hopefully find Vindictus still there. She needed to tell him about her lesson.

As she approached the shed, her eyes sparkled with the sight of seeing him standing outside as though he was waiting for her... Skipping forward to reach him faster though, she blinked horror struck. He was spying on them!? Gulping, she stopped as she was now standing just a couple feet from the Quidditch Official.

"You were s-spying on our lesson?" she blurted out, before she could help herself, indicating to what she recognized as omnioculars.

The expression on Mia's face was priceless. "Y-yes!" Vindictus choked out since he was laughing very hard. "My boys must have done a great job polishing those brooms." More laughter ensued.

"Y-your boys?" Mia choked out. Oh! Now it all made sense; Vindictus had the boys polishing broomsticks, but not with the same stuff that they used last term clearly. It must have been some super slippery polish, of which she had no idea about, but that's why Wystan couldn't stay on and others were having trouble too. She shook her head at him... "So... you ruined the school broomsticks with some slippery polish for your own amusement?" she clarified, trying to make sense of this.

Vindictus wiped a few tears from his eyes because he was laughing too hard. "Do you honestly think I'd ruin good broomsticks with a Weasley product?

"No, but then..." she paused looking up at Vindictus curiously. Alright, that was it: the seventh year was officially confuzzled. "... explain please. What was that polish? And well, good broomsticks you say? So they weren't good at all then..." She shrugged, not removing her gaze from studying his facial expressions.

"Oh, Weasley's have some brilliant polishes," Vindictus grinned and winked. "I served a detention once for that prank during my fourth year. Learned to never apply it to good broomsticks, too. The stuff breaks down charms placed on the handle - namely the cushioning charm. But those brooms are so old that butterflies outstrip 'em."

Mia gasped with what the Official was saying; Mister Perfect served detention before? Not even she had done that! She bit her lower lip nodding in understanding and finally settled on mentioning, somewhat reluctantly, "so... that explains why we couldn't fly more than 5 feet in the air, or was that Miss Lunatic's precautions?"

"Probably both," he grinned. "Tell me - did the Muggle wood putty I used on the broomhandle work? I'm curious because one of the handles was cracked and worn thin in one area, and I was wondering if this Muggle product I found would work on broomsticks."

Ahhh! There it was. The love sick blues. "Well, what better to have than a poker night among the men of the school. It might cheer ya up," Caleum stated as he patted the man on the shoulder. "You know, I met a new professor over there just at the last Hogsmeade visit and she was telling me about all the same..." he paused for the correct wording to phrase, "stuff." He then began to rub the back of his neck thinking about her. "Man, she was pretty too."

Allowing herself to smile just a small amount when he said it was probably both, he then posed a question for her. About muggle wood putty. Oh noes! That was her broomstick! The seventh year shook her head, but there was a hint of delight in her eyes. "You didn't see it?" she asked incredulously. "The broom Lunatic was using broke in half and she was dangling for awhile before falling off and landing on her back... It was quite a sight!"

She was about to laugh at that memory when she remembered something else suddenly. "But wait... she said that it was your broom? So it wasn't really then? Actually, technically I said it, but it was in agreement with her. Either way, she gave me points for it..."

Vindictus erupted in another fit of laughter. "Oh, you should have seen everyone's faces - priceless! I'd do it all over again if I could." His blue eyes twinkled with sheer delight. "And she gave you points - brilliant."

Constantine pushed the door open to the broomshed. His face was in its emotionless normality again, but that was because he was busy reflecting on the afternoon's events. Sighing, he closed the door behind him and found himself a chair. Spotting one beside Max and the Old Man, he eagerly plopped down in it and stared at the wall quietly.

Vindictus suddenly became serious. "Absolutely not," he reassured her and then became his lighthearted self once more. "Well, that is if the Dementors get hold of me first."
