Vindictus stood there and listened to James. "You're talking gibberish - Sounds to me like Algie is trying to get Schmoop in trouble." Then he turned to Cale who resembled a true mud monster. "Redecorate? In mud? Why brown? Blue would be more suitable, don'tcha think?" he asked and raised an eyebrow. "So, I'm not going to ask how this happened but has anyone tried to clean it before the cleaning inspector arrives?"

Cale glared at Sho. He was supposed to be helping him weave a tail, not tellling the professor so they could all get in trouble. He'd have to have a "chat" with the boy later. One that might involve making said boy eat some mud pies.

"Well, I'd say anything's an improvement over the white. Well, at least in my opinion." Cale pointed to the puddle-mud-lake that was separating Vindictus from the boys. "Um...someone thought water would work. Apparently, it wasn't the best of choices." He sniffled and then coughed. "Oww," He put hand to his head, making a squelching noise.

Sho just shrugged to Cale. It's not like there was any other way to explain the swamp that was growing in the common room. Besides, it's not like anyone would believe them at this point. Maybe when the wand spewing all the water was still going though...

Vindictus laughed. "You're right about toning down the white." Only boys would think of getting rid of dirt with water. "Has anyone tried to use the siphoning spell? That should get rid of the mud. Then we can try scourgify." He stepped over a mud puddle and almost got knocked over by a bouncing bulb. "But first, can someone please control these blasted bouncing bulbs?" One was splashing about happily in one of the many mud puddles in the room.

"Sho - you're telling me these bulbs created the mess? Who on earth would bring bouncing bulbs into a common room?"

Sho caught a bulb that had bounced up through the mud. They still hadn't lost their vigor apparently. Though why should they? They were in their natural habitat after all.

"Cale and I brought them up," he said, putting the bulb in a pot that wasn't destroyed.

It wasn't easy catching them, nor was it going to be easy catching them again. Clean up time it was.

"Ahh," was all Vindictus said and pulled out his wand. One stunning spell later and a bulb that was gleefully splashing about in the mud was momentarily stunned. He walked over and picked it up. "Do we have a pot for this one?"

Barry looked around finally he was hear maybe this wasn`t the right time to ask about his wand he`d ask before Max left.

James dropped the subject of the elves. Maybe he could go by the kitchens and talk to one. But he'd never even heard of a cleaning inspector.
"There's an empty flower pot on the window sill, Professor."
He pointed his wand at a clump of dirt on the floor and nonverbally cast, "Scourgify".
Three bulbs bounced freely against the wall. With a flick of the wrist and "Immobilous" the bulbs freeze in place.

James muttered, "Locomotor Bulbs" and guided them to the flower pot.

"Hey!" Cale snatched the bulb out of Vindictus' hand before dashing off across the room to grab the frozen bulbs out of the air. "Watch my bulbs! You're going to bruise them!"Sadly, before he could reach them he slipped in a puddle and found himself sprawled across the back of a sofa. "Omphf!"

Sho went to pick up another bulb when Cale slipped. He just sighed and walked over to the boy, peering over him when he arrived. Shaking his head, he held a hand out to help him up.

"Cale Thornton... you are something," he said, chuckling a bit.

James looked at the boy as his charm was broken.
He was stunned that a Prefect was the cause of this mess. Looking down on Cale he said, "Look, this mess has to go. Just collect your bulbs and clean up. Or else this...cleaning inspector will be the end of us. I really don't have the time to clean up someone else's mistake. Especially when they don't even let me help."

He tucked his wand into his robes, stood up and left the common room.

Things needed to liven up in this place! It was still drab, although there was mud everywhere. How that happened, Ryan didn't want to know. But he ran in shouting a bunch of nonsense. It seemed it was a trend for the day.

"AAHHHHH! I think we need to have a party! Where's Jonathan? And Kai? And Austin? And Antwone? I need my quidditch guys!" He looked around, but saw none of them. "Quidditch boys, ASSEMBLEEEE!!!!!!!" His fists were on his hips and his chest was puffed out. He was SOOO in superhero mode.

"Watch your tongue in front of me, boy!" Vindictus bellowed. "And don't even insult a Prefect in such a manner ever again!" He watched the boy's retreating back. "Turning your back on your own House - what a crying shame."

He shook his head and turned to Cale and Sho. "As soon as the bulbs are repotted," he said with a raised eyebrow and stared at his prefect. "Let's try to use scorgify to clean things up. Then we can paint the room blue and bronze."

"Paint?" Cales ears wiggled (yes wiggled) a little at the words as he took Sho's hand and let the boy pull him up. "I love painting. Can we do that one technique where you basically toss paint at the wall in random flexing streaks?"

"Sure," Vindictus grinned. "You boys can paint the walls any way you want, but put a tarp or something over the floor and furniture. Maybe you can add some nice potted plants to add more character to the room, Cale. Just no bouncing bulbs...."

Sho pulled the prefect up and stood back, scooping up a bulb as it hopped closer to the couch. Paint? Seriously? This boy wanted to paint after all this?

"I don't think splattering the walls with paint is a good idea. At least not right away," he said to Cale. "We should wait at least a day for that."

"Aww wait a day? Why?" He glanced around. Eddy seemed to have vanished and so had Connie and the Gryffindor. The three must have decided that Dinner was more important. In the meantime, they had been replaced by a yelling, rather hyper Quidditch Captain. Cale sniffled, starting another flood of blood from his nose as he leaned in and whispered to Sho. "I think somone spiked his pumpkin juice..."

"Someone always seems to be doing that," he whispered back to Cale. "Besides, we won so I guess he's allowed. Though... just not in this swamp."

He sighed and went over to the broken pottery, casting repairo on them so that the shattered terracotta could be used once more. Scooping some dirt/mud into them, he hoped they'd hold. A few jams down of the dirt to test the strength proved that they were fine so he burrowed holes and put the bulbs in.

"Actually, Ravenclaw defeted Slytherin in today's match," Vindictus said and chuckled at Ryan's energy. "The game went down to the wire when both Seekers had their hands on the Snitch - it took a small committee of judges to decide the final outcome since it was impossible for me to make the final judgement on my own. So, I think his zany behavior is well-deserved." He laughed. "But Sho is right - perhaps the room can be painted tomorrow after the dirt and mud is gone. Maybe you can find an artistic student to paint a Ravenclaw mural on that wall there." He pointed to the wall covered with the rules.

Paint? That would be fun but the professer might let him but the rest wouldn`t he would have helped clean up but he didn`t like those bouncing bulbs he stood up ready his wand could wait he did have a spair even if it didn`t work great.

Jonathan entered the room with wide eyes. For an instant, he wanted the old dull Ravenclaw common room back. Not only was this one dirty, but the room stank as well. This wasn't exactly what he had hoped to come back to after the quidditch match... His entire body was aching, and the boy simply wanted to plop down on a chair, plastic-covered or not. He sighed and glanced around. There was Ryan, who didn't seem the least bit worried. And why should he be, they'd just won the first quidditch game of the year! This was spectacular. Jon himself had just won his first real quidditch match ever. It was something to celebrate, so he threw himself on the ground, slipping through the mud in Ryan's direction. "Well, we have to take advantage of the common room's new and temporary makeover, don't we?" Jonathan said in his defense for having performed an action he would usually have considered rash.

"Nicceeeeeeeeeee!"
Toshi entered the Common Room again, some bottles of Butterbeer in his arms and very happy about Ravencvlaws victory against Slytherin.
He looked at the mess in the room, grinned and started handing over butterbeers to the people around him.
Time to party!

James had heard something about paint...but not at the moment. He hed some business to do. So, with his bag over his shoulder he marched outside. But then something occurred to him. He needed help. He hid his bag and went back into the common room. He looked around...and found his new target. He walked over to Sho (was that his name?) and the prefect. "If you're going to wait a day..." he said nervously looking down. He looked back up. "I need some help"

Barry smilled it wouldn`t hurt talking to James now they were on the same side "What are you up to now James" asked Barry.James was always up to something. Well so was he but he didn`t show it

James grimaced. "Yes, well, I'll be around school if you want to help" he said to the three boys. Then he turned specifically to Barry. "Follow me if you want to help" he said, and walked out.
