Will shook his head quickly, raising his own hand. No WAY was that poor little elf going to get flogged in front of them if he could help it. He looked at Kingston with an expression of purest disdain at his 'idiotic' suggestion. "A real man- especially a fine gentleman of Lord Borr's stature-- would never stoop to something as base and crude as physical violence against anyone, much less a defenseless house elf so far below his station in life. I suspect the right course of action, especially when one is a professor of Lord Borr's caliber, is to educate the house elf on the proper way to accomplish waste removal. " He looked to Lord Borr to see how he would react to his answer. If he had to, he'd clean up the mess himself rather than see that elf beaten.

Curt watched as the house elf popped into the room and smiled. He had always been extremely fond of the creatures, and had always deeply respect their magical prowess. However, it was quite obvious that Lord Borr despised the creatures, and right as he was about to talk to Schmoop, as it was properly named, he decided against it. Because Lord Borr began to speak to the house elf in the most disrespectful manner.

Curt just sat tight and watched as as the Slytherin Prefect made his suggestions. Curt smiled at his words, and suddenly piped up himself. "I agree sir, education would make the most sense. Especially since you are doing the educating." He said with a hint of nervousness, he knew he probably went over the top. But from his experience, Borr seemed to respond qutie well with flattery.

"Well, of course Lord Borr wouldn't hit him as to meaning to hurt the creature." Kingston spoke up, narrowing his eyes on Will. "Like you say, Will. He'd educate the elf, teach him a lesson. Remind him to not do what he did again. And of course, he'll teach the elf to not lie to him."

Maddox was in complete and utter shock. He didnt know what to say to this but he knew it wasnt good. He hoped kingstons answer was wrong and that nothing would happen to the poor elf. He replied by saying, "I agree with Will. Educating a house elf would be much better then succumbing to the temptations of hitting a servent. No matter how badly they want to." He was hoping lord Borr would get the picture.

Shel raised his hand. "Education, sir," he began politely. "It will be necessary to educate the house-elf, whatever means it takes to do so. If the house-elf responds to generosity, well and good. If not, then the elf must be punished. Severity in education becomes a necessity, sometimes."

Henrick hesitated slowly, clearing his throat, "Sir, it usualy depends on the...arrogance of the insubordinate. If there is an abundance of arrogance, corporal, severe, punishment must be ensued..."

Henrick straightened up, clearing his throat again, "However, if the....subject in questions seems tolerable in reasoning, then the subject must be taught. Taught to conform and respond correctly, sir."

This class was getting more and more ridiculous as time went by – house elves?! This was all rather strange since this was supposed to be a history of magic class! Borr had none idea of what being a professor meant, he was simply using his classes to his amusement. To make students commit shameful acts and to tease creatures of inferior intelligence was not a class this was…Dimitri didn’t even know what to call it, notwithstanding the fact that he was positively angry about it!
Raising his hand the boy asked hopping that he wouldn’t have to witness such act.“A gentleman of your kind wouldn’t possibly think about hurt such a creature physically, would you now, sir? I believe that the best way to deal with such creature is to lightly punish him, making him skip a meal or something like that."

This was horribly similar to Nicholai’s worst nightmare. Rubbish, dirt, trash, slime, rot- anything disgusting getting anywhere near him…he dodged a flying piece of something unrecognisable; stepping smoothly behind another boy and using him as a human shield…And yet he was here and willing to do whatever was needed.

Something tugged at his brain; A Lord? Willing to clean? Nico was more convinced than ever that the title was self styled. He looked at his perfectly clean fingernails and up at the livid Lord Borr- and pulled out his wand; charming his clothing and himself to protect be protected from the filth. As a further measure he pulled out his leather gloves and pulled them on and charmed them also before stowing his wand safely in a pocket.

Following Iggy’s lead he ensured the toothbrush was completely clean before looking for a place to scrub.

Nico looked up in interest when Borr mentioned house elves; personally, Nico thought it was more likely to be a student than a house elf.

He looked from person to person as the boys tried to convince the Professor to ‘educate’ the house elf. Nicholai himself didn’t have much time for the creatures and ignored the pathetic little thing; avoiding its eyes and instead gauging the other students in interest.

“Sir,” Nicholai spoke eventually, issuing a respectful bow, “If the house elf is insubordinate and clearly incapable; as shown by doing the exact reverse of its duties, the most appropriate action and punishment would be to give the house elf clothes.”

As if being subjected to the foul stench of rotting garbage and an over active flatulence were not enough, now Finn had to sit and watch Bore torture that poor house elf. No respect for other creatures. Finn thought.

He listened to the answers of the other students and gave a sad sigh.

"Clothes would be a way to educate the creature." Kingston started speaking again, seeing as most of his classmates started to talk. "But that would leave you with no elf. The elf would be free, yes, and it would beg its master to not free it, but after you do, it'll probably go and look for another master."

Kingston sat more comfortably in his chair and didn't dare to look at the elf. Not because he felt superior to it. No, he was afraid that if he saw into the elf's eyes, he'd feel guilty and sick to his stomach. He knew how it felt. Poor creature.

"It seems that everyone has agreed on educating the creature, my lord. Although, education goes on various levels. You could speak to the elf, but it seems that talking doesn't work. And as Nicholai has suggested, you coulg punish it by giving it clothes."

"The truth is the decision goes back to you, my lord. We merely watch and learn from a man that is outstanding such as yourself."

Will sighed inwardly. Were his classmates really so quick to suggest clothes, the ultimate mark of shame for a house elf? It made him sad. "Clothes seem an extreme measure for an elf's first known violation... risking losing what could be a good and dedicated servant who has simply made an error in judgment or lacks proper work knowledge. I'd suggest teaching the elf what is expected, making sure that expectations are crystal clear and being firm in your directives, and then if the elf still shows itself to be untrainable -- or is willfully insubordinate and ignorant-- focusing on punishment. Of course, Kingston is right-- only Lord Borr can truly define the proper course of action, and we look forward to your instruction on the matter."

“Thwack it?” Liam piped up with the first thing that popped into his head, removing his hand from across his nose and mouth to speak and wincing a little as the wall of stink hit him again.

He listened to his classmates responses all along the lines of educating the creature or giving it clothes and sank a little in his chair. That would seem like the more humane way of dealing with the poor creature. “Er... I mean... of course educating it would have more of a impact on the elf. Give it something to think about rather than a just load of old bruises ...which could effect it's ability to carry on with it's duties meaning you'd be minus a good servant.”

...What a LOAD of old crap.

Barry felt sorry for the elf cloths were a bit to far "Sir isn`t cloths a bit to much for this . I would sugest that you first talk to it and if it happens again resort to a punishment but cloths would be a waste of time and you would lose an elf that could have just made a mistake. But of cource Lord it is all upto you" he said. He hated being nice to Borr wished he could smack him and stun him but that would never work.

Lord Borr was uncharacteristically --- delighted. There was a grin on his face that he got only when a new batch of cookies arrived.


"So, I think we all agree," Lord Borr started, moving to hover over the little elf. "Mr. Wendleworth - give me an article of clothing, please."

Finn's mouth dropped. He cried out. "NO SIR! You can't do that to the poor creature. How do you know he is aware of the responsible party?"

oh no this couldn`t be happening Barry was forcing himself not to draw the wand he hated Borr he siad to Kingston "Go on give it to him"

Kingston stared at Borr once he asked him for some clothes. What... should he do?! Should he give the man some clothes or should he refuse him? Merlins, this was... all too difficult. "Sir," he started with a small gulp, grabbing his tie and untying it. "Although, sir, don't you think the elf would... be freed from his master?" He asked, passing the tie to Borr. "Not, that you.. aren't, Sir."

"You all are SO quick to jump to the aid of a FILTHY House elf, but not to me? YOUR ROLE MODEL? Your teacher? Your FRIEND?" Lord Borr gave them all a look that clearly said they should be ashamed of themselves. "Kingston. Clothing, please," Lord Borr asked again, his hand outstretched and waiting.

Finn could stand it no more. He fled to the house elf and said, while bowing. "Sir, it would be my pleasure to assist you in the capture of the knave who so foully disturbed your sanctuary. I implore you though, to please not do this to the house elf. He lives only to serve, and I am sure that a bit of assistance from the headmaster would give you some relief to know if the house elf is being truthful or decietful. If he has indeed hidden the truth from someone so great as yourself, I will gladly give you the foulest sock I own to repay him his deceit. But, please, don't do anything hastily."

Finn's stomach turned as he complimented this horrible man, but he could not stand by idly as the creature was tortured.

Kingston swallowed the huge lump that appeared in his throat. "No, Sir, we jump to your aid. I apologize for making you feel this way, Sir,' he murmured, taking, nervously unbuttoning his shirt. This was madness! He was going to bare his chest, his skin in front of many boys and Borr! Taking a deep breath once he unbuttoned the last button, Kingston took off his shirt, now bare chested in front of his fellow students and professor. "Here you go, Sir." Kingston murmured, passing the shirt to him.

Oh my. Clothing.

Shel felt his heart hammering against his chest and, at the moment, all he wanted to do was to wring Borr by the neck. The ogre. His hand instinctively moved towards the pair of drummer's gloves in one of the pockets of his robes, and he wished he could dispose of them, somewhere. Stupid clothes!

And then... And then Kingston had taken off his shirt. Shel's mouth wanted to drop open, his jaw wanted to clatter to the floor. But it did not. He couldn't, it was Borr's class. But Kingston. With no shirt. And a soon-to-be-freed house-elf...

This was not good. At all.

Barry knew how Kingston felt. He was in bare chest. He had a shirt in his pocket a very small one he got it out and said "Engorgio" it grew but not perfectly to fit Kingston he handed the strange looking shirt to Kingston "Here that should be better then being bare skinned" he said smilling. He wasn`t doing it for Kingston he didn`t want to look at his bare chest.

Curt recoiled as Borr yelled at them, that was the last thing he wanted... to have a Professor getting all mad. Curt sat there silently as Kingston took off his shirt and offered it to Lord Borr to give to the House Elf, and that is when Curt's mind started working at about one hundred miles per hour.

"Sir, I do agree that you have every right to set free this house elf." Curt said, not really thinking about what he was saying. "But if it is alright, could I have it after you release it?" Curt asked, giving Borr a proud grin, and also giving a quick little glance in the direction of the House Elf.

Curt laughed inside his head at the thought, it was probably out of the question. But hey, House Elves were hard to come by these days.

Finn could not believe his ears. What kind of men would this school be turning out? Mealy mouthed yes men. He would not stand for this cruelty.

"Mr. Finn, I am well and truly offended! I ought to take away 50 points for such disloyalty and accusations against me! HOW DARE YOU?" Lord Borr used his cane to move the little idiot Finn out of his way. "Speak to me that way again, and I WILL take 50 points away! And no, Curt, no you may not. Sit still and be quiet! THIS IS CLASS SO LEARN SOMETHING!"


Lord Borr's fingers clutched the shirt of Kingston's. "Thank you, son." His attention returned to the little elf. "POOP - I will FORCE this shirt onto you for your insubordination and outright disrespect me! I WILL!"


"....IF you do not become my personal elf, legally bound to me, where you WILL learn how to be a proper servant. Just like all of these students suggested, you will be MINE and educated by the BEST!" Lord Borr hovered the shirt over the elf's head.
