Via was shocked, Professor LAiney had dragged Professor MElita outside. Throw our cookies at the fire, okay!She did! The cookie was crushed though. She never had witnessed something like this before. BUt if ever Professor Lainey was going to lose her job because of this, Via will have to favour her since she knew Professor Lainey had done nothing wrong and she just lost her temper. Via laughed in her mind at the sight of the POtions Professor being dragged out of the room and Professor Lainey even gave her a blow.

Nikita jumped when Lainey's fist connected with Melita's face, and couldn't but give a few quiet claps. There was no way that Lainey would be their professor after this, but somehow, that was okay. Nikita could live with no Professor Lainey after seeing such a stand for what was right.

Nikita took Professor Lainey's words to heart.

She was still hanging onto the door when Lainey's fist collided with her face. The force of the blow sent her rocking backward and she collapsed to the floor. "Ouch," she said, holding her nose which was now bleeding. Still not good enough. "I thought you were an auror once. No wonder you were killed if that's the best you could do," Melita goaded the lunatic on.

"PROFESSOR LAINEY, NO!" Cassandra ran and grabbed her arm and whispered in her ear. "Don't you see? That's what she wants you to do. We can't lose you, not again... the students here need you." She pleaded.

Ponessa nearly cheered when the Professor punched her, she felt as if she had just sent out a powerful message...but she didn't want to get in trouble, so she stayed quiet...for now.

"Professors please!" Sabrina begged standing up. this was getting ridiculous even she could see that and she was on of the youngest in her year. "Stop it! You're acting worse then we would do!"

Rapunzel's eyeballs were either going to pop out of her head or else she was going to wake up - for surely this couldn't really be happening, could it?! Professor Lainey - one of the brighest and best professors ever - was really fighting that Ministry lady? The cookie lady?

No, they weren't fighting....Lainey was just plain kicking Melita's bum. Punz had to stuff her fist in her mouth to keep from laughing and/or encouraging the History of Magic professor. Sure, Lainey might get fired...but at this point, Rapunzel didn't care. This was the only class where they'd really learned anything and if all the good professors quit...Punz didn't want to come back next term.

Steelsheen's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when Lainey hit Melita smack on the face. She bolted right up and rushed towards the door. Oh this is so.not.good. Lainey's gonna get fired for this fer sher. she thought panicking. She looked at Prefect Trellawney with a look on her face What are we going to do? The teachers are having a brawl.

Wow! But Professor Lainey shouldn't have done that. And now Via learned somehow to appreciate again the Slytherin Prefect. That's what she was thinking about a while ago. Sophie Melita, the potions Professor was trying to get Professor Lainey sacked. Silly her, she deserved that punched although she's the one who's supposed to be sacked not Professor Lainey. Her mind was still working at the moment although she was shocked to see a scene like that.

In situations like this, there was nothing to do but gawk, flinch, wince, gawk some more and think your Professor a nutcase. So Daphne did gawk plenty and reared in that need to cheer Lainey on.

And she would have done something to stop her if Melita hadn't opened her obnoxious mouth. And for an eleven year old to find you obnoxious, you really must be the most annoying person on this magical planet.

Daphne turned to the girl who had just clapped her hands. "Say," she whispered. "If I were to accidentally kick the Cookie Woman do you think she'll notice?"

Lainey took in a sharp intake of air. Melita might has well had kicked Lainey square in the face for all the damage that her verbal blow had done. If she was mad before, she was livid now. Furious. "I .." Lainey squeezed her fists so hard that her fingernails were leaving little marks on her palms. She nodded once to the Prefect.

"I - " Lainey was very nearly ready fall apart. "I'm so sorry, girls. I'm so sorry that you had to see that and I'm sorry that our Ministry is so STUPID and you have to be within a hundred kilometers of this," Lainey shoved a thumb at the bleeding idiot on the ground in her door," thing and I'm sorry. I think we'll have to call class dismissed for today."


Lainey would just kill Melita after the girls were gone.

All Astrid could think to do now was plead. "Please Professor Lainey. Stop! This is what she wants and we CAN NOT lose you. She knew it wouldn't help but she just couldn't keep quiet anymore.

Sabrina breathed a sigh of relief as Professor Lainey stopped herself. "Good job Professor, we're proud to have you as a teacher," she said as she got her stuff and walked to the door. "Um, Professor Melita could you please move, we need to leave the classroom."

Sophie sighed and shook her head. "No nerve. No focus. No wonder," she said and got to her feet. She walked up to Lainey's other ear and whispered, "It really is a pity they let you out of that cell. If it weren't for your Ministry-connected friend, you'd still be dead and we'd all be better off."

"Yes Ma'am..." She said letting go of Lainey. "I think maybe you should think of getting some rest..." Cassandra told her. She didn't want Melita to have to go to the Nurse! But she was left in a very bloody state.

Lainey shoved Melita as hard as she could. "You're a MONSTER. Stay away from her girls! STAY AWAY FROM HER!"


ANd Lainey fled. She left the classroom, her school, and the grounds.

Ooooh, it was on. The Cookie Lady had faked Rapunzel out at first, with all her sing-songity cheer. But now she was just causing a scene. In the middle of her favorite class.

But Punz didn't want to leave. She was terrified of a) the look on Lainey's face, and b) the plan behind Melita's weirdness. What would happen if Lainey did leave?

And then she left. "Great," Rapunzel muttered, shaking her head and gathering her books. She'd just have to save her thoughts for later and get the hades out of there.

Ponessa's mouth dropped open, as Lainey fled.

She stood there, flabberghasted, a moment, before clearing her head, lookng towards the Potions 'Professor'.

She said nothing, but nodded politely as she left the classroom, being sure to remember what Lainey said...

Melita fell back into the into and slid down onto her bum. Tears welled up into her eyes. She didn't even manage a broken leg. She sobbed and the tears started to flow down her cheeks.

Via stood up and went over to Professor Lainey, "Professor, You should take a rest," but the HIstory of Magic Professor had already left. She wanted to tell Professor Lainey how she admired her for what she had done, and she wanted to say to Professor Sophie she deserved what she had got. But just as the others she wanted to leave the room and passed Professor Sophie who was bleeding. She didn't dare try to help her because the things she had said about Professor Lainey wasn't right. Although a part of her wanted to lend a hand. But now The POtions Teacher was sobbing.

Via tried to talk to Professor Sophie but she was afraid she'll get angry with her, but she was crying and it's just not right t leave her alone like that, "Professor?" Via asked bravely, lending Professor Sophie her handkerchief. If she's not welcome to help then she'll have to leave.

Cora gasped in horror as Professor Lainey threw the bleeding Melita to the floor. She was about to object but then...Melita mentioned that they'd all be better off with Lainey dead.

"See you next lesson Professor." Cora said, heading towards the door. "Good right hook by the way." She added, grinning. But she was gone, fled, disappeared. "Professor Lainey!" She cried, but the woman had already bolted around the corner.

She turned around to see Professor Melita sobbing on the floor. Pfffft.

So, the situation was no longer funny and Daphne's honey colored eyes fell on Cookie Lady cautiously, half-expecting her to turn to them and give them the crazy eye. Quickly, she gathered her school bag and side stepped between people trying to make it out without having to come in contact with the Crazy Cookie.

And Daphne had fully intended to leave without a word to Melita but there she was sobbing and everyone just passed her by unnoticed. Wincing as she tried to come to a decision, she reached inside her robe and handed the weeping woman a handkerchief.

"You can keep it."

Cassandra looked horrified at Melita. Why? She thought to herself... Why say such things? Even SHE wouldn't have tried to hurt Venefica in that manner... She held out her hand for the Professor to take, so she could help her up. "You need the hospital wing... I can take you... if you wish" Cassandra resigned herself.

Two words were screaming in Steelsheen's head Damage Control! Damage Control! But what can they do? they're just students, this is a Ministry Official and an Auror. Then she saw the final exchange between the Professors that had Lainey screaming at the girls, warning them of the Potions Teacher and fled.

"Professor Lainey!" she called out, but it was too late. One of the greatest teachers they've had this term was gone. Oh no we're doomed she thought as she turned towards Melita. She clenched her fist tight. She was so angry at the Ministry professor she wanted to hit her just as Lainey did. She breathed hard trying to keep her temper down. She looked at Melita with deadly eyes You may have won this round you weeping crocodile, but you will NEVER win this battle. she thought angrily her jaw clenched.

Rapunzel didn't even spare a pity glance for Professor Melita as she breezed out the door of the classroom. That woman had caused more trouble than she was worth - and besides, what kind of a person had to make friends by giving out cookies, eh? They were probably tainted...with something shifty...

And no way was she joining Amelia's choir now. Nuh uh. Not even if she was given all the galleons in Gringotts.
