Allie wlaked over to sit on the floor. "This is wied." she thought.

Sit in the floor? Why? The chairs were good.
Now that she had something against people sit in the floor.. but.. arg okay okay lets sit in the floor.
Ellie stood up off her chair and went to sat seat to Evangeline.
That was going to a quite interesting lesson.

"I suppose we can begin. Everyone comfortable? Need a pillow or something?" Lainey was going to gladly let everyone sleep through her lesson if they wanted. She'd be doing good to keep awake herself.


"Today, girls, today we are in mourning. Today I mourn the death of History. Will you all take a moment of silence with me?" Lainey bowed her head and shut her eyes tight and mourned the death of History properly.

"The death of history?" Allie thought, not wanting to say it out loud and get in trouble. "How is that even possible?"

Oh no... not her too!!!

Cassandra put her head down and waited.

Steelsheen bows her head just as the Professor has done. She was still confused and thought the death of History? Wha? How can history be dead... its History.

Alexis looked at the professor weirdly. Oh no. She was right. "Another Ministry lesson." She muttered bitterly and bowed her head. Oh poor history of magic. It would be missed soo much.

Anna was too confused to be comfortable...or need a pillow for that matter. Why would she need a pillow in class anyway? What on Earth were they going to be doing?

Wait....history died? Can that even happen? Can remembrance pass on? Anna watched the professor bow her head and shut her eyes, so, despite the confusion, Anna did the same.

Where had history gone? And what did these ministry people do with it?

Amanda gave a strange look, by complied with the Professor nonetheless. She bowed her head in silence.

Curiously, Issy looked over at Melly and then Serena. The floor? She didn't protest, though. Pulling her bag into her lap, she slid out of the seat she'd chosen and then onto the floor, crawling the short distance to the rug. Professor Lainey was being incredibly cryptic... from her demeanor (though, seeing her smile at her and her friends made Issy happy), to what she'd just said... curiouser and curiouser.

"May we ask what's going on, Professor?" Issy asked cautiously, casting wary looks to her friends. Was this the same woman they'd met in the office? Biting her lip, she criss-crossed her legs and tucked her skirt neatly, her bag still in her lap. What was going on here?

Mourning... oh no! No no!

They weren't going to be having a normal lesson, would they? And she'd so been looking forward to this class! Another furtive glance was tossed towards Melly and Serena, before looking back up at Professor Lainey, swallowing thickly.

She looked down at the floor. She reached into her expanded bag and pulled out her small carpet and unrolled it. She sat down on it "Anybody is welcomed to share with me." She called out to the class hoping to make some more friends.

She got a puzzled look on her face, she wanted to ask a question but remained silent in respect.

The death of History?! Wanting to ask Proffesor Lainey what she had meant by that Serena half heartedly raised her hand. And than brought it back down again. She didn't want to ask during the moment of silence. Maybe after?

Realizing that the moment of silence had actually started, she closed her blue eyes and bowed her head down slightly. This was depressing. She didn't want this to be a depressing class!

Hearing Lainey's comment, Rapunzel realized that yes, indeed, it was going to be a Ministry lesson. So the dark clothes were appropriate.

"Rest in Peace, dear History," she muttered with a bowed head. "Someday, I hope we will meet again." Punz sniffled a little.

Surely they couldn't take away History of Magic....forever? There were still books and stuff the Ministry couldn't control....so maybe they would meet again. It all made sense to Pretzel, at least.

Lola stared. The floor? Eww. It wouldn't serve. Her dry cleaner was not being very forgiving for the truckload of business she was sending him, the poor gentle man ready to blow his first fuse since birth. Why, she was sending things faster than he could clean them! But, no one, not even the elves, were better than Khaled.

But maybe they'd get to be genies! Ooooh, what wondrous fun! Loose pants and chiffon! Fab-U-LOUS!

Better do well, she thought, primly bending her knees and crossing her ankles beneath her. Spreading into a small smile of wonder, Lola looked about the room from a worm's eye view. New perspective, eh? Supposedly, it was the key to 'it all'. Whatever that trivial, yet riveting maxim meant.

Spotting Steelsheen, she waved fleetingly, unable to see the girl in great quantities as of late. Shame, her company was pleasant.

"What? What's Prof. Lainey talking about? The death of History?" Kaika thought, this was beginning to make her much more uncomfortable than other lessons, but she remained quiet, not wanting to interfere with Prof. Lainey's suddenly closed eyes.

Ellie raised an eyebrow as she looked at the professor.

Oh gez.
Since she really didn't know what to say, she remained in silent as she waited for the professor Lainey's next words.

The brunette girl moved her eyes to a hufflepuff girl that just said " Someday, I hope we will meet again".
She remembered to see her before...probably just another crazy hufflepuff.
No wait, she did remember her.
She was the crazy jealous hufflepuff girlfriend.

Evangeline couldn't help but to crinkle her nose. For what she knew, when people were comfortable they tended to fall asleep, right? So, did Professor Lainey wanted them to fall asleep? Hmm. Well, whatever the reason was, Evangeline was determined not to fall asleep. She was in a lesson after all.

So, simply shaking her head at the pillow question, she listened intently to what Lainey had to say. Mourning? The death of History? Oh dear Lord. She wasn't liking the sound of this and, slightly confused, looked around to see what the other girls were doing. Finally, she lower her head and waited.

Sitting on the rug wasn't exactly what Daphne would call a good time. Dust mites irritated her a bit and she was sure by the musky scent lingering in the air ever so slightly, it had been a while since the rug had been shampooed, yet she did as she was told and paid attention.

History was always interesting if anything else. But the Professor was being nonsensical. The death of history? How could history die? The only way for that to happen was for the past to have been erased...And to think about it further, people would have to stop being active and create events (as small as they were)that will eventually become history.

Basically, History and Time were tightly woven together and last time she checked, the clock on the wall was still ticking. Nevertheless, she placed a hand gingerly over her chest and cleared her throat as lady like as possible.

"Of course," she whispered and shut her eyes, only peeking once to see if everyone was doing the same.

How could History have died? History was always happening wasn't it? She sat down on the floor not wanting to make anything difficult for the teacher. She seemed genuinely upset, so Sabrina closed her eyes and thought about what could be happening at the ministry for history to have died.

Out of the corner of her eye, Steelsheen spotted dear Lola, She gave her a smile and a small wave.

'How could history die?' Makenzie wondered to herself.
Oh no, she suddenly thought, the Ministry of Magic probably remove History of Magic from the curriculum.
This was the worst first year ever!

Lainey raised her head slowly and sighed. "It died the day the Ministry shut down Hogwarts. And then it died again when I got the Ministry approved curriculum, signed by Mrs. Clara Belle-Cooper. And now, we bury History of Magic with this first lesson. Hope you all brought shovels."


Lainey got up, her whole body sagging, and went to the board. She wrote on the board:

"Anyone knows who was born on this date?" Lainey punctuated her question with another loud sigh.

"...The Minister, perhaps?" Desdemonda answered, sighing inwardly. She had liked History of Magic. Oh well.

Alexis raised her hand. She had a good answer...maybe. "Some moron from the ministry miss?"

Tommy raised her hand. "Was it Mrs. Copper-Belle by any chance?" She asked rather disgusted if that were the answer.
