"I don't know." she said thoughtfully, " Maybe she wil let us go inside the castle!"

Unfortunately, Daphne Hopton had run out of analogies and her Father's voice wasn't lending her any head any more in her head so she stuck out her leg, assuming and unladylike position.

"But...you're only 12."

12 and a half at the most by the looks of it.

Rhiannon was curled up with her back against a rock, her entire focus on her sketchbook. She wasn't going to draw anything on a random piece of parchment, especially not Hogwarts. And she was determined to take her time on the drawing as well. She missed Hogwarts too much to quickly create a drawing that reflected it.

Crystal finished her picture and turned ton the professor, Is this okay Miss?

Usagi drew a sketch of Hogwarts on her drawing pad (which she purchased at a Muggle bookshop in Vietnam) with a little smile on her face. At last, she have the chance to see the famed school that used to be where the great witches and wizard have studied. Not like Belle's, with all the stupid rules and Ministry-praising... She let out a silent sigh.

Alycya sat on her rock an looked up at Hogwarts. It was sad to see the castle she had loved so much last year. She got out parchment and her quill and started sketching the castle, looking up everynow and again to check on details. Once she had finished, she looked at her picture lovingly.



"Is this okay, Professor?" she asked handing it to Professor Lainey.

Usagi added the final touch to her sketch of Hogwarts, smiling. She handed the picture to Professor Lainey: "Professor, I'm finished. Is this OK?"

What, what, what? Draw? Shumeeta was a TOMBOY. She couldn't draw. Drawings were for girls. And she was a... tomboy.

She shook her head as she set to her drawing. She liked the wild, and she wanted it to feature in it. So she drew it in black and she drew it in grey. She added a moon - she loved full moons - and she added a lake and a giant squid. Perfect!

In the end she labelled it. Dipping quill in the deepest black in she owned, Shumeeta wrote 'Howgwarts - Moon, Lake and Giant Squid' beneath it. Now that was nicer. She looked at her drawing once again, frowning a little.



"Is this alright, professor?" she asked, hand in air.

Celandine really wanted to do her best possible work; she wanted to have a picture to show her brother since he might not have nice enough professors to show him Hogwarts.

She began to sketch; figuring she would just get the outlines in and paint it after class to give to the professor later.

She had discovered after the COMC class that she really like to draw and she hoped that there would be more assignments like this in the future.

Sapphire was half drawing and half looking still at Hogwarts, she could see the castle and thought about all the things that have happened in that castle her parents fell in love in that castle the dark lord was defeted Sapphire sighed and said quietly Its beautiful Sapphire suddenly realised that most people were handing in their drawings so she decided to hurry up with hers.

Somehow, Evangeline had a feeling that compliments wasn't really Ellie's thing and she let out a light chuckle, leaning back on her hands once more and looking over at the castle. If Ellie blushed, Evangeline would give her some privacy. "You're quite welcome, Eleanor." She replied, slightly amused by the formality of their words. It was weird. "Well, you shouldn't stop something you're good at." She shrugged as Ellie told her she used to draw alot but then had stopped. "Unless, of course, you seriously hate it I suppose." She added as an afterthought.

"Oh Issy! This is as precious as you are, sweetheart. I think that the hearts are just perfect! Well done!"

Lainey laughed and touched the rough formed grass of Gwen's picture. "It's beautiful, Gwen. I normally hate grass, but even I long for some Hogwarts grass."

"Oh Bravo, Miss Trelawney! Your colors are great! I think I can see the Great Hall in this one..." Lainey smiled and touched each of the windows.

"This looks like the Hogwarts I dream about. Kind of fuzzy, just out of reach," Lainey sighed, but smiled at Kaika. "It's beautiful."

Lainey blinked at Rapunzel's picture. And blinked again. And then burst out laughing. "OH Rapunzel! This is hysterical! I'm going to send it into the Prophet!" Lainey laughed until she snorted. "Hooray!"

"No windows, Daphne?" Lainey asked, considering the picture. "It kind of looks like ..," well, Lainey was no artist herself, so who was she to say. "It's grand. Well done." It kind of looked like Belle's...

"Oh Evangeline!! This is sooo lovely! Such nice colors and it's so soft! This makes me want to hug you, your picture, and Hogwarts!"

"Oh lookit! Look at the windows! You remember how the light in the mornings would hit these? In the Entrance Hall? Oh it's so beautiful, Krissy! Just beautiful."

"It's gorgeous, Liz! Just gorgeous. I can my office, and there's the Ravenclaw Common Room...," Lainey looked up from the picture to the castle. "That's the view from here..."

"I never thought I would actually miss the Astronomy Tower," Lainey sighed. "This is beautiful, Allie. Really beautiful."

"Hah! You know - I can see ole Vindictus flying around pretending to be busy," Lainey laughed. "Fantastic picture, Lola! Fantastic!"

"Ohhhh! I like this view, Eva! You got the little caretake hut and even Hogsmeade station! Very nice work!"


Lainey's eyes moved straight to the Greenhouse of Serie's picture. "Wow. I just picture Erikson out there mulling about... This is lovely, darling." And that was the second male professor that had crossed Lainey's mind. Was it possible that she was missing testosterone? Surely not. Definitely not.

"Another night picture!" Lainey grinned. "Hogwarts is so dreamy at night, huh? We really must come back one night." And rebel against the stupid curfew! Muahaha!

"Wow! Look at these colors! This is so pretty, Oya! I know it sounds ridiculous, but you made a very magical looking school - look magical!" Lainey laughed.

Lainey laughed as she pointed at the cat. "You know, I'm not a big fan of the felines, but even I have missed seeing your animals prowling about Hogwarts...Perfect picture, Juniper!"

"This is amazing Nathalie! Your painting and the colors... it's just amazing! Wow.. It almost looks sad, doesn't it? The castle?" Lainey was sure that the castle was sad..

"Goodness, Ellie!" Lainey smiled brightly. "You really captured the view from here, huh? Even got the gate here," Lainey waved to it. "Fantastic! I love it."

"Is that Bartholomew I see, Melly?" Lainey squinted at the picture. She laughed and touched the purple looking squid. "I bet he would appreciate you including him in your immortalizing of Hogwarts."

"Oh I LOVE this Ari! It looks spooOoooOoooky!" Lainey grinned. "And we all know Hogwarts has it's spooks. I see Barty in your picture too! Bless him..."

"Crystal... this is truly amazing! You have a real gift with your pencil and paints! Wowee! Very... wow. This is a beautiful piece of art, hun."

"It's much more than just 'okay'! It's gorgeous! You made it look so old.. so aged.. just as it should be! Very pretty, Alycya."

"Hogwarts looks sooo pretty in black and white, huh? And look... see this? Rae's office.. and the nursery... and Branxton's office.." Oh it was a sad, sad, sad day when Lainey started missing that nerdhole Doyle. Ew. "Great picture, Usagi!"

"Look at Bartholomew Henry!" Lainey very excitedly pointed him out. "He's waving from your picture!" Lainey laughed and squinted through the gates. "I bet he's very, very lonely these days... This is a GREAT picture, Shumeeta!"




"I'll give you all points for these when I get back to my office. Promise!" Lainey gathered up all the pictures and held them to her chest like they were a forbidden treasure. "I hate to have to do this, but would you all mind if I finished up the lesson on the Minister? I'll make it quick and painless. Or, as quick and painless as possible. Don't worry about taking notes, I'll just make you all a copy of mine. Deal? No throwing tomatoes at me?"

Steelsheen looks down at her half finished work on Hogwarts "Ok Professor if we must" she sighed sadly. "May I submit my drawing later then? I need to finish up a few more details on it." she asked

Astrid absolutely loved Professor Lainey now. She was the nicest professor she had ever met. What a fun lesson!! she thought. "We're all ears Professor." she said trying to sound excited even though she dreaded the subject. "By the way, it looks like you've got your hands full. Would you like me to help you carry some of those pictures?"

" Thank You!" said Allie, when she commented on her drawing.
"It's okay, we wont throw any tomatoes at you!" Allie laughed.
"If you need help, I could help carry the pictures, too, Professor." offered Allie.

"Astrid, i saw your drawing, you didn't tell me your good at drawing." Via smiled.
"And you too Allie... you've got nice drawings."

"Thanks Via." said Allie. "Where is your drawing? I'm sure it is really good!"

Katrina sighed sadly; she had been hoping that they could have heard more about Hogwarts, not about the Minister. But since thay didn't have a choice, she forced a smile and said," Of course we won't throw tomatoes at you, Professor!" Though she thought it would be nice to throw some at the Minister and his stpid wife........

"Haven't finished it, Allie." she said. "I'll submit it later."

Nathalie packed her magic pencils away. She must remember to tell Laurelle how well they had worked.

She looked up at Hogwarts one last time. The professor had said that the picture had looked sad - Nat hadn't realized when she was working on the picture, but now she thought about it, it did look sad. She suddenly felt a stab of sadness herself - would she ever go to the real Hogwarts? She'd looked forward to it so much.

She was doing OK in school, but it wasn't anything like she'd expected, and she seemed to have trouble making friends. Of course, she had never had a chance to make any friends before this, because of Mother's strict rules, so she wasn't really sure how to go about it. Well, she would just start talking to more people, whether they seemed friendly or not. Even if she got snubbed, at least she was making an effort!

"Oh, well I would love to see it when its done!" she said.

Thank you so much Professor and im sure i can cope with a lesson onthe ministry for a little while Crystal was really enjoying this lesson so far and she wasnt going to let the stupid ministry spoil it

"Absolutely. You can turn it in for homework even. Take your time. Enjoy yourself."


"Oh. Oh, thank you girls! You both are very sweet." Lainey split up the stack into two and handed a handful to each of the girls. "Remind me to get them back from you. I'd forget my hair if it wasn't glued to my scalp."


And so it was time for business. Lainey would have preferred a root canal. She unrolled her parchment notes and held them up after enlarging them.



"I'm just not reading this stuff out loud. Come up and have a look. Ask questions if you want." Lainey held the parchment out from her like it might.. bite.

Steelsheen nodded in acknowledgment, glancing at her parchments Hmm, maybe I can still submit them now, I'm done with one of them and this other one just need a bit more tweaking she thought looking at her artwork.


Steelsheen looked at the details on the parchment when something caught her eye So the Minister belonged to Slytherin House, well that explains why we were treated so well... and why the Gryffindors got the worse of the lot she thought as she scribbled down the details on another parchment.


Sensing that they might be leaving the beloved place soon, Steelsheen speedily finished both her artwork of Hogwarts, having been inspired like never before. On one parchment she kept waving her wand repeatedly, clicking her tongue when it wasnt turning out the way she wanted it. When she was done she approached the Professor nervously, clutching her work close to her chest.

"Professor Lainey" she began "I've managed to finish the sketch of Hogwarts already, here it is" she said as she handed her work in:





Then hesitatingly, she held up the other parchment "I experimented colors with my wand and well... I got a little carried away with this one" she giggled nervously:

*Sheeta took a look at the parchment the professor had unrolled and quickly realized this is what the teacher was going to almost teach the class... such dull and boring facts! Now Sheeta had at least gotten to see Hogwarts and was happier than a june bug.*

"Professor, do we need to copy all of this down?" Sheeta asked lazily.
